Lovely looking establishment. A reminder always look at the menu before you order and be careful not to get caught. We had to pay to listen to the musician & after living in Portugal for 4 years this was the first time we have felt ripped off. Cost of wine was 6.50 euros a glass for local common wines. The only good thing about this place was the friendly waitress.

Fantastic food. Ribs, squid, fried potatoes, all to die for. All backed by first class service from Fernanda! Highly recommended.

Unfortunately not the tastiest food we have eaten in Lisbon. Bacalhao omelette and grilled Goldfish with very little flavor. Not to mention that we had to wait over 30 minutes to get served. Seeing all the positive reviews suggests that maybe we were not lucky with our choices and timing. But overall it was a disappointing experience for our last meal in Lisbon where generally we've eaten nicer and cheaper fish meals in other places.

1 star for design. 3 for wine and service, no idea how is the food. Pretty tastless design, kind of all over the place. Ok wine choice, though there are much better options in the area

Vraiment trop bon. Nous sommes 4 unanimes c'était délicieux. Cuisine portugaise mais fine et limite gastro sans le prix.
La serveuse super sympa également.

Absolute gem of a tapas restaurant. Brilliantly prepared, very fresh produce. Had a real feel of home cooking, almost like you could the taste the love.
Service was exceptional, too. Very friendly and attentive, happy to give suggestions, but not pushy at all.
If you managed to find this place, it'll be a highlight of your trip to Lisbon.

Des gens supers accueillants et une très bonne cuisine portugaise familiale. Nous nous sommes régalés avec les tapas et notamment les gambas ! Les poissons d'une fraîcheur irréprochable et très bien cuisinés.

This is a hard review. We had a bad experience, with waiting and then the wrong food being ordered and brought . Hence the 3 stars
When the food came it was nice but too late for us. Good wine though.
Staff tried but not enough of them.
They should have offered us more discount, but we did have a drink each on the house.

sehr liebe personen, sehr nette cheffin und dass essen und wein schmecken hervorragend.. will jemand richtig portugiesische essen, ist man hier richtig ...:) wir hatten unser essen sehr schnell, wenn das etwas dauert, dann ist es zeichen nur dafür, dass sie alles frisch kochen und nicht dass sie langsam sind ...:) sehr empfehlenswert und ich war mehrmals hier

The octopus was really delicious and tender, the service was fast and the waitress very helpful, she even managed to get a Fanta for my wife, even if was not available. There is very good quality for the money. I would definitely come back again!!

I love this place! I had the cheese gratin which was fantastic! I also had the goat cheese salad with nuts and honey! The baked goat cheese on the bread topped with honey eas fabulous! The staff is amazing!

Een echte aanrader. Dit is gezellig restaurant met superlekker (Portugees) eten (prijs /kwaliteit is top). De eigenares/kok is een echte Portugese wat zich laat proeven in het eten. Vriendelijke bediening en je wordt tot niets gepushed in tegenstelling met de meeste restaurants. Aan de deur staat geen ronselaar wat wijst op respect voor de klanten (hetgeen ook effectief zo is). De menu staat in het Portugees maar de ober helpt U met raad en daad ( in het Engels/Frans/Spaans/...)

This place was an unexpected surprise. After walking long looking for a place to have dinner and trying to avoid tourist crowded places we bumped into this place. It has a very romantic atmosphere and the woman who served us was very kind. We ordered cod fish with "natas" and "a la braz" and they were perfection. Totally recommended.

A real find. Delicious food, surprisingly reasonable prices and a lovely atmosphere. Cod cooked with leeks and cream was gorgeous (if rich!). We stumbled across it but it is worth seeking out.

Immensely enjoyable evening meal at this local restaurant along a busy street.
The place was quiet on a Tuesday night, but this meant that we could have a conversation without having to shout and enjoy the music.
Service was exemplary and attentive. The quality of each ordered dish (salad, main, and dessert) was high.
There was undoubtedly no craft beer on tap on this occasion, but there was another kind of draft to be had in the craft beer's absence.
Do pop in and give this place a try yourself!

Loved this quiet little restaurant in the middle of a busy street. The food was fantastic. And the service one of the beat I've had in Portugal. Definitely recommend dining here. Don't be put off that there are no queues out the door.

Hemos venido 2 veces y siempre estupendo. Los vinos, los platos cómo la morcilla, el revuelto y las tostas de bacalao. El personal espectacular, muy agradables, atentos y dispuestos. Recomendable 100%

Vim ao Restaurante Carmo para um jantar com amigos e só tenho a recomendar sobre o ambiente, o staff e a comida!!! Ambiente super acolhedor e charmoso, staff atencioso e amigável, comida muito saborosa, com os valores bem acessíveis e justos. Super recomendo o choco frito acompanhado com uma boa cerveja espanhola , e os cogumelos Portobello acompanhado com um bom vinho da casa.
