Second day in Lisbon, second dinner in a row here. By far best Indian I've found in Europe travelling for the last month. Had chicken korma, chef special chicken and rice, garlic naan, everything quality. Owner was cook at five star restaurant and it shows in his work.

Best Indian food we have had! If you come to Lisbon, this place is A MUST! The garlic cheese naan is out of this world! WOW! Everything was so amazing, service, food, ambiance, we had to come back twice! :)

O Gandhi Palace é um dos fiéis intérpretes do chamado sabor indiano ou Indian taste. Sabores fortes mais ou menos picantes, ou até nada picante se o cliente desejar. Para quem não gosta de spicy pode optar pelas pizzas onde existe grande variedade. O espaço é espetacular, bem decorado numa vertente moderna mas com a presença dos elementos orientais. O serviço é competente. A experimentar.

Good Indian food & reasonably priced We had a surprisingly good meal at this very beautifully decorated restaurant. We ordered a chicken jalfrezi, lamb sabzi, naan and rice. Both curries were delicious and the naan was fresh and crisp. The service was excellent!

Truly reminds you of rustic India in a bad way. I wanted to try Indian and decided to go here. Gandhi Palace is a chain with as many as 5 restaurants in Lisbon(as I found out later). All i can hope is that the other 4 are not as bad as this one. The place is in an alley that had some construction going on. Not the owner's fault but i found the restaurant empty at 7:30pm. The decor inside is good but that is the only compliment I am giving this place. The waiters in the restaurant were loudly swearing MC/BC and choicest punjabi swear words when i went in, while (loudly) talking to each other. That swear session didn't stop even after i sat and started eating. I made two mistakes - one eating here and two commenting on the food preparation (the butter chicken i ordered felt odd). Immediately the waiter/incharge went into defensive mode and then knowing fully well i can hear him, went to the chef and directed some of his BC/MC to me also for commenting on the food. I quickly finished eating, paid the bill and ran out. Truly horrible, completely avoidable. If the owner is reading these reviews, he may do well by training his staff on basic decency.

Ottima cena Indiana, personale molto gentile e disponibile. Da provare il mix di antipasti per 2. Piatti ben curati, li servono con delle piccole ciotole e sotto una candelina per tenerli al caldo.

A really decent Indian option in central Lisbon. Service was lovely, portions were decent and there was a good variety of curries. The butter chicken was excellent, naan was crisp and thick and soft. Only criticism is the vindaloo was a bit weak, it didnt have much flavour or heat. But overall, a great option if you're craving Indian food or something different while travelling.

Increíble restaurante indio, una carta magnífica a un precio normal, la comida estaba buenísima y el trato muy bueno, el local esta muy cuidado y muy limpio, repetiría sin dudarlo. También además de poseer carta de platos indios poseen una carta de platos italianos lo que le da una gran variedad, recomendado totalmente.

Skip this place, please. I don't know how we made this mistake, but I'll blame our lack of willpower that kicked in late late in the evening. We love Indian and Nepalese cuisines a lot, however, this place would just out a bad taste in your mouth. Literally. Dishes come out from the package from what I can tell. There was a cockroach running on a wall next to our table (it should have warned us!). We didn't feel good after we are. In fact, my boyfriend felt funny for the next 24 hours. Thanks for activated charcoal we don't get too sick. Don't get deceived by the royal look. Go to Sanskar (Amazing Nepalese just around the corner) or Kerala (take a taxi) instead.

I went with a group of friends and was shocked by the indifferent attitude of the waiting staff who were unwelcoming to the point of rudeness. The waiter got the drinks order wrong and refused to wait for the rest of our party to return to the table before acknowledging the mistake and rectifying it. Most of the dishes served were a disturbing shade of bright orange, the lentil main dish contained almost no lentils and consisted of an orange, liquid goo and the mushroom rice had such tiny pieces of mushroom in it that there was no point in them being there.

Very, Very good food. We've had tikka masala and curry prawns and both were amazing. Maybe a little off the beaten truck in Lisbon, but definatelly worth visiting.

Ottimo compromesso se come noi si hanno dei bambini che non amano l'indiano perché si trova anche cucina italiana. La pasta non era niente male! Il cibo indiano ottimo!

Aunque no sea comida típica, merece la pena pasarse por un sitio así en Lisboa

Went with a large group (10 people). The food all tasted great, but service was disappointing. It took forever for someone to come take our order (there were only about 4 other tables there at the time) and it took an hour to get our bill after asking for it multiple times. It looked like there were only 2 wait staff for the whole place. Starters - Chicken tikka, Sheek kebab, Chilly prawn garlic, Masala papper Entrees - Butter Chicken (sauce was delicious), Mutter paneer, Veg Biriyani, Bhangan bharta, kadhari panner and dal makani. Overall there isn’t anything on the menu that we wouldn’t recommend. Just don’t go when you’re in a rush or tired Update: smaller group went another night and service was much quicker with equally good food. I noticed this was common in Lisbon -they’re not used to large groups because most restaurants are small in size with less wait staff.

The food was amazing, I was a bit sceptical at first seeing as they do Indian and Italian food, but turned out everything was delicious. We had a mix of both indien and Italian and they mastered both. Definitely recommend.

Great tasting Indian food with plenty of variety. Good options for children as well. Apparently they do Italian dishes but we didn't try any.

Perfectly spiced Indian food spicy but not too spicy. The chicken Tikka masala was amazing but what was even better was the saag paneer.

진짜 맛있어요!! 그동안 유럽의 맛없는 파스타에 질릴대로 질렸는데.. 여행 한달만에 인도음식점에서 맛있는 파스타를 먹게될줄이야.... 내일도 올래요.. 어제도 올 걸.. 어제 진짜 별1개도 아까운 맛없는 문어밥 먹고 오늘까지 기분이 안 좋았는데.. 최고에요!! 낼 점심 저녁 여기로 와야겠어요. 카레도 먹고~

Tanto la carta India como la Italiana tienen platos de gran calidad. Comida muy buena a un mejor precio.

Great Indian food! Good selection especially because of the Italian menu. Even though they serve both cuisines the food is descent.

Restaurante con ambas cocinas, india e italiana. Fuimos un grupo de 9 personas, y todos los platos estaban deliciosos. Las cantidades eran generosas y los precios estaban super bien. Sin duda, muy reocmendable

After touring for two weeks in Europe when you crave for Indian food, then Gandhi Palace comes to rescue. Very close to city centre, nice warm service. We reached post lunch time and they were closing down but obliged us by serving warm Indian food.

The best Indian food I have eaten in a long time. Very polite service and modest prices (no cover charge). If you like Indian, don't miss it.
