A typical Portuguese restaurant. The waiter was helpful and very friendly. The dish are simple but so good and remain not expensive. I strongly recommend this place. We surely going back there.

Ero a vedere il convento e sbirciando sulle mappe mi ispirava questo posto. Arrivai sotto il diluvio universale e trovai chiuso. Non mi arresi. Il giorno dopo (8marzo) chiamai per capire se fosse aperto e andai. Ero sola quindi non dovetti prenotare, ma in caso foste in di più fatelo. Entrai e fui subito accolta benissimo e inconsapevole di tutto mi sedetti accanto a Fernandinho fu tutto un ridere. È un luogo molto accogliente e cordiale. Salmone alla piastra, birra e 2 ginjinha 15€
Se torno a Lisbona torno sicuramente qua. Ciao Fernandinho

The place is tiny and so are the tables, BUT this made me feel like it was an authentic Portuguese restaurant.
When it comes to the food it was absolutely amazing both my grilled sea brass and my mother's mixed grilled fish were amazing.
This can definitely be recommended for your lunch in Lisbon (not open 4 dinner)

The place with the most delicious traditional food! You should try the tuna cooked with the prosuti and garlic and the Godfish cakes! Sangria is a must! The service extremely polite and friendly! Very close to Rossio train station

Schönes kleines Restaurant in einer Seitenstraße abseits der Touristenströme.
Sehr freundliche und prompte Bedienung. Bestellung wird zügig geliefert.
Die Zutaten sind frisch und werden perfekt zubereitet. Das erwartet man eigentlich gar nicht von diesem kleinen Restaurant. Ein echter Geheimtipp.
Doch eines muss man wissen - das Brot und der Käse, der einem auf den Tisch gestellt wird, ist kein Gruß aus der Küche, sondern eine kostenpflichtige Kleinigkeit, wie sie hier überall üblich ist.

Comida de verdad, de barrio. Platos muy sencillos con mucha calidad en la materia prima y en la ejecución. El servicio es muy amable. Es de las mejores tascas que he probado en Bairro Alto, y en general de los sitios más auténticos de Lisboa. Se pagan entre 10 y 15 euros por persona.

Dies ist ein portugiesisches Restaurant in einer Seitengasse im Zentrum. Es ist bei den Einheimischen sehr beliebt. Touristen verirren sich selten dort hin. Die Speisekarte ist neben yer Landrssprache auch suf Englisch und Französisch übersetzt, die Tageskarte alleedings ist nur auf Portugiesisch. Der Kellner sprach nur Portugiesisch.
Zu empfehlen ist das Thunfischsteak.
Auch die Mousse au Chocolat schmeckt köstlich.
Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist in diesem Lokal hervorragend.

The concept is a little weird. It’s more like a shared tables in a tiny space, but food is really good (raw tuna, and Grilled salmon). It’s worth going back for the food, not the seating style thought. Some people came to the restaurant and left because of this issue.

Ristorante famigliare, cucina visibile dalla sala, abbiamo fatto qui tre pasti, cibo splendido cucinato al momento prezzi non eccessivi.
Io lo preferisco a ristoranti più rinomati, per sentire il sapore della cucina portoghese.
Sicuramente da annotare per un soggiorno a Lisbona, non fatevi incantare da altri posti ...... provatelo e poi mi direte.

Amazing food and super friendly staff. I loved the clams as a starter and we had a tuna steak and codfish cake as a main. Very good. And also the desert was very tasty. Worth the money. We'll come back again.

Local and affordable. I had the garlic shrimp and soup. The portions are fulfilling and the dishes are tasty. A quarter of wine is 1.60, which might be rare at such a central location. The waiter didn’t speak much English but he was the friendliest! Most places in Lisbon seem to have a problem with solo travelers. Ok, we may not pay as much as a party of four but we need to eat, right? At O Fernandinho, you feel welcomed. They have an English menu anyway. Definitely recommend!

A local recommended this restaurant to us and I am so glad I listened! Their tuna steak was incredible and the staff were super friendly. The wine and food was very reasonably priced too so it’s I’d definitely recommend a visit if you’re looking for an authentic Lisboa meal without the inflated prices!

Un très bon petit restaurant... Fernando, le patron, est aux petits soins comme si on est de la famille. Sandra, sa femme, cuisine "comme à la maison" des plats savoureux. Je recommande le steak de veau " a Fernandinho" et le steak de thon (le meilleur que j'ai jamais mangé). Très bon rapport qualité prix.
Je reviendrai.

Aunque lleno de turistas resulta bastante auténtico. Pescado a la parrilla muy rico, amables y simpáticos. El dueño es bastante personaje, pero resulta gracioso sin llegar a ser pesado. Pedimos la parrilla de pescado para compartir y muy recomendable. A tener en cuenta que son mesas compartidas (casi le da una cierta gracia)

Tolles Essen, freundliche Bedienung, Beratung wenn gewünscht, ein kleines Lokal, unbedingt reservieren. Irrsinnig preiswert, hatte mit doppelt soviel gerechnet wie ich bezahlt habe.
Klar es ist etwas eng, tut dem Genuss aber keinen Abbruch.
Der Hauswein war nach meinem Geschmack, ich habe selten so gute Flunder gegessen. Ich rate dazu bei dem Nachtisch nach der Empfehlung des Hauses zu gehen.
Hier findet man neben Touristen auch Einheimische, häufig ein Garant für Qualität, in diesem Fall ganz sicher.
Ich hatte Einblick in die Küche, die war absolut sauber trotz Hochbetrieb, Hygiene wird groß geschrieben.
Eine absolute Empfehlung meinerseits.

Vinimos a comer porque por la zono no habia restaurantes de 1€ solo de unos €€-€€€ bueno es pequeño pero el dueño,comida(a mis familiares no les gustaron las croquetas de bacalao),pero la sorpresa fue al pedir el postre ya que me pedi un mousee de chocolate y mis familiares unas tartas de chocolate y un arroz con leche todo bien pero el mousee estaba...

Sehr nettes kleines Lokalwo auch viele Einheimische waren. Der Fisch war großartig und dasSchweinefleisch mit Muscheln war auch ausgezeichnet. Sehr einfache Küche, aber einfach gut ;-) Als Dessert unbedingt den rancoso alentejano probieren und nicht abschrecken lassen von der Google-Übersetzung: "ranziger Kuchen"

Probably the best restaurant in the neighborhood for its price category. The first time we went, the food tasted amazing. Second night, it was a bit too salty. The staff here was amazing! Both of the servers were so friendly! I would definitely recommend this place!

le personnel est au top, les plats sont bons et copieux et la note jamais salee...
on y est alle a plusieurs reprises et jamais déçus.
On recommande fortement cette adresse pour une bonne cuisine locale et pas chère. Service jusqu'à 15h.

The place itself is small but cozy. Simple but nice and clean. If you're planning to visit I advise you to either go early or book a table. I went there with a group of 8 around 19:30 and while when we got there there were plenty of free tables the restaurant filled up before we finished our dinner and the waiter had to turn customers away. We had garlic prawns for starters and it was absolutely amazing. Everyone loved it. Even a friend of mine whos not really into sea food so I definitely recommend it. For the main course 3 of us had grilled squid while the others had grilled octopus, tuna steak, tuna salad, grilled salmon and steak with coffee and cream sauce. All of the dishes looked really nice and most were delicious with the exception of the squid. One of my friends found a piece of the spine of it still in which isn't the end of the world but still shouldn't happen. It would have been easier to overlook it if the meal would have been tasty but it was rather bland and a bit rubbery. If I had eaten alone and would only judge by the squid I would not recommend the place despite the excellent prawns but all the other meals matched the quality of our starters. The portion sizes were generous and the prices are very reasonable. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. Overall we had a good time and I think it was worth visiting.

Traditional Portuguese restaurant where everything is fresh, well-priced in the heart of Lisbon. Had the grilled octopus and shrimp in tomato sauce. Both were excellent and tremendous value for the quality and portion. House wines are also great. Owner and family are really hospitable as well.

Tutta Rua do Duque vale il viaggio. Io ero innamorato di Supermario ma ho scoperto anche Fernandinho (anche meglio). È la via migliore per mangiare bene, abbondante, popolare e a buon prezzo in Lisbona.
Non conosco i ristoranti di alta gamma, non posso dire. Unica alternativa, la zona della Bica. Lì c'è forse di meglio ma anche da prendere solenni fregature. A Ruo do Duque invece fregature zero. Può piacervi o no, ma questo è un altro discorso.
Per un italiano del nord questa via e tutti i suoi ristoranti fa morire di nostalgia. Da noi c'erano, anche a Torino (50 anni fa) e a Genova. La Maria di Genova è diventata una schifezza innominabile, molto più sporca e a livelli innominabili.
Non andate sul porto e nei locali alla moda: vi spilleranno solo una barca di denaro, aspetterete ore, la sporcizia è molto maggiore, molto più rumore e il cibo non vale nulla.
Molto meglio anche della Mouraria, ad esempio O Eurico, dove si aspetta di più, si sta più allo stretto e la qualità è poco superiore. E vi trattano pure molto male.

My wife and I stopped in just as it opened for dinner. Staff were exceedingly friendly and quick to respond. Garlic prawns sea bass and tuna steak were all delicious. We were talking with another couple at the next table and my wife off-handedly mentioned that it was my birthday. The waiter must have overheard us and at the end of the meal surprised me with a slice of chocolate cake with a candle in it. Unexpected but delightful!

Op de foto de visschotel voor twee personen. Geen geld, iets van 25€. Simpele inrichting, je staat binnen uur weer buiten. Maar vriendelijke eigenaar en met drie eet je er met toetje en fles wijn voor 50€. Doe je zuinig aan dan eet je er voor 30€. Sowieso leuk straatje met meer restaurants. Blij dat we er twee keer een appt hadden.

Si nous n'avions pas logé pour les vacances dans cette rue, nous n'aurions jamais découvert ou testé ce petit restau car il ne paye pas de mine ! Mais nous avons vraiment été ravis car il y a là un patron vraiment sympa et une cuisine familiale et traditionnelle. C'est même la cantine du quartier pour les policiers et gardes républicains....
Les plats sont donc simples mais copieux. A notre 2eme visite nous avons voulu prendre des sardines grillées mais le patron nous les a déconseillées car pas vraiment la saison et qu'il ne veut proposer que du frais et non du surgelé. Nous avons pris à la place un assortiment de poissons grillés... à recommander (fraicheur, cuisson, quantité)

Uma tasca simples e acolhedora, com comida celestial. Fomos por indicação de um lisboeta e foi a melhor refeição da viagem. Não deixe de provar as amêijoas à bulhão pato, sardinhas na brasa e o bacalhau a lagareiro. Sem contar a acolhida simpaticíssima do Fernandinho e de toda a equipe.

Patron très agréable et souriant, j'ai pris les croquettes de morue elles étaient bonnes et légère en bouche, en dessert une crême au chocolat comme à la maison! Et super rapport qualité prix, ne venez pas pour le décor mais pour la cuisine et l'acceuil!

Melhor bife de atum de toda a Lisboa, toda uma variedade excelente de outros pratos e um serviço muito simpático e divertido do sr. Eduardo.

This is a proper, down to earth, locals restaurant. The décor of the restaurant is basic but clean. The hosts are polite, with just enough English to make ordering easy. This place is all about the food. We had the garlic prawns to start. These were to die for. I would guess around 20 prawns (only €8....insane), very juicy and sweet is a lovely buttery sauce with chopped garlic. The amount of garlic was just perfect, just enough for a good garlic hit without taking your face off. The sauce was light and not overly oily. We hungrily mopped it up with some bread rolls.
For mains we had the grilled Salmon and the mixed grill. The Salmon was the best dish we had in Lisbon. It was served simply with fresh chips and a little side salad. The piece of fish was quite large and grilled to perfection. It was so fresh and delicious. The mixed grill was very good too, it had a piece of chicken, a thin cut steak, a piece of pork and some sort of local sausage which had a great pink colour. All tasted great. Its impressive how they can cook such a thin piece of steak but yet keep it pink in the middle and moist.
We also had 3 beers and 2 espressos. The bill came to a €35 which for all that food was great value. I will absolutely go back to this restaurant when I return.
If you are looking for delicious, fresh local food with no airs or graces, this is the place to go.

Vá, sem pensar duas vezes! Lugar muito barato, comida típica portuguesa muito gostosa e bem feita, além de ter uma equipe muito atenciosa, educada e afetuosa. A melhor parte de Lisboa, com certeza! Por favor, não peça refrigerantes: o vinho da casa é ótimo! E se possível também não deixe de comer os doces portugueses ao final

O Fernandinho é o melhor anfitrião de Lisboa. Seu restaurante é simples mas com uma comida realmente portuguesa, imensamente bem servida, muito gostosa e a custo baixo. Foi uma das melhores descobertas de Lisboa. Sempre que podemos voltamos la e somos recebidos como na casa de amigos.
Vale muito a pena.

Comida casera de muy buena calidad, la atención inmejorable! La comida tarda un poquito xq te lo hacen en el momento! Las mesas del local son corridas, con lo q es posible compartir con otros comensales, pero esto también le da encantó al lugar! Es un poco difícil de encontrar, pero buscarlo porque es 100% recomendable!!!

Authentic Portuguese cuisine. It did not show on Google Maps and we stumbled upon it when looking for another restaurant nearby. We peeked in and saw a packed, atmospheric, cozy room. A group of local policemen were also there so that tipped the scale instantly. The food was superbly done, the service precise, quick and friendly. The dessert was also great. A meal for 3 was just over Eur 40. Unbeatable!!

Loved it - simple traditional and delicious dishes! You can always tell a restaurant is good when you see local people eat there. The atmosphere is casual and the staff is very friendly. Would recommend this to anyone who likes to eat great food and get to know the local vibe

Le rendez-vous des travailleurs ! Très bon pour un prix dérisoire. 8 euros par personne plat, pain, olives, boisson, dessert et café.
