Nice staff, really delicious food, good price, perfect!! We had grilled shrimp, portuguese side dish(recommended by staff), octopus salad, fried cod(3piece) and half jug of sangria.. everthing was tasty, especially octopus and cod. Thank you for lovely service and nice advice! We will visit again soon.

Quaint little place in the heart of Lisbon but quite a challenge to find..dont hesitate to ask for directions.
Baked cod was the highlight.
Octopus salad was fantastic.
Beef pau pau was average.
Cod fritters really good.
Sardines were full of taste.
All these with wine, water, butter, bread, coffee & olives for less than €50.
Service was really good!
My sister and i enjoyed it.

I don’t write reviews often, but this place deserves one. The food was absolutely delicious and should be included on your “To Try” list for Lisbon. The atmosphere is wonderful, relaxed and very family-like. Highly recommend the cod and whatever dessert they have for the day (we had chocolate mousse - easily the best I’ve ever had in my life!).

Not advertised by signs, but highly recommended never the less. Simple wooden furniture, an open kitchen layout in the back and a laid back atmosphere. Do not get scared away by the dead end street or the combination with a hostel: the food and service are great. The owner has a story to tell and she'd like you to become part of it.

Après tous ces commentaires dithyrambiques je me risque à donner un avis plus pondéré. Effectivement le lieu est typique, petite ruelle sombre, un escalier semble vous mener au temple de la gastronomie portugaise; on a vraiment l’impression d’être au cœur de la vie des lisboètes, ça c’est pour le positif. Par contre la propriétaire fondatrice « bonne cuisinière authentique » a été reléguée au service. Côté fourneau de jeunes gens préparent une cuisine simple et efficace, mais un peu fade en comparaison avec ce qu’on a pu goûter ailleurs.

Based on the reviews, I went to this charming restaurant in Alfama! Silvia and Ricardo were so friendly and nice!! I've been offered olives and a shot of cherry liquor. There was no more fish on the menu on that day, but I've tried the chicken pica pau and the soup that were good and tasty :) The bread was soft and good as well! I would highly recommend to eat there, and I'll come back for sure! Adeline

The most delicious and authentic meal of our trip. Also the cheapest. The restaurant is easy to find with Maps and is at the top of a flight of stairs. Great aesthetic, the owner is a remarkable person, and of course the food is fantastic.

Petit coin chaleureux, on s’y sent vraiment comme à la maison! Cuisine ouverte où l’on voit une petite dame cuisiner pour nous avec les autres, les plats maison sont juste délicieux et les dessert aussi!

Cannot say enough, this is a very good restaurant that people need to visit if you come to Lisbon. The grilled sardines are so good that I ordered 2 dishes. All these tapas taste very good! Highly recommended to everyone who comes to Lisbon.

Sehr kleines und verstecktes Restaurant. Früh dort sein lohnt sich da man sonst draußen auf einen Platz warten muss. Das essen hat uns absolut fasziniert, sehr leckere kleine Köstlichkeiten von Fisch bis Fleisch, alles was wir probierten war ausgesprochen lecker. No paséis por Lisboa sin subir a probar todoooo.. Mari Carmen, la cocinera o dueña, elaborando en directo todo, es perfecto. Te indican q tardan a tomarte nota, pero va rápido. Te lo dicen, pero las dos veces q hemos estado, tardan mucho menos q en otros Restaurantes. El bacalao con espinacas gratinado, para recordarlo siempre. Los buñuelos d bacalao, el arroz, las migas. ESPECIAL muy económico x calidad, servicio, limpieza.

Lugar con encanto.
La ubicación eses algo escondida, pero siguiendo las indicaciones es fácil llegar, como referencia hay que subir un callejón con unas escaleras.
Para empezar el local es acogedor, de ambiente familiar y un trato agradable.
La dueña es una maravillosa persona, atenta y cuando descubres la historia que hay detrás, quedas cautivado.
La comida es de estilo casero, todo muy sabroso y bueno.... Sin duda alguna repetiré cuando vuelva a Lisboa y se lo recomiendo a todo al que vaya.

If you want to try something authentic and out of the tourist path, we are sure you must come here! The food is awesome and Maria, the kind and lovely owner, is even better! We are sardines lovers and these ones are really on the top of our list in Lisbon! We have tried grilled and marinated sardines with a good glass of white wine, bread and olives! Last but not least 2 typical desserts with 2 shots of Porto offered by the owner. Then we ended with two hot teas chatting with Maria!
Excellent quality for very good price (only 20 euros for everything)!

Please note: the restaurant is up a staircase, it can easily be missed so be aware! The restaurant owner was very welcoming, and tentative towards us and helping us with our selection. Her recommendations were top notch, and the food was perfectly the right amount for us.
The food itself was delicious... I highly recommend the Portuguese Cod, like a Mediterranean fish pie that was rich in flavour, and I also recommend the grilled sardines. The owner was extremely passionate about her store and showing us the fresh produce that they use. The food was exactly what we were looking for, traditional home cooked food, that can only be cooked by the veterans of the kitchen.
Thank you so much for the great food, me and my friends loved it and we highly recommend this place, every foodie should definitely come here!

I just had their grilled sardines and sangria and i must day that it deserves it’s 5 star rating. Sure it doesnt have the fancy setup. It’s more of a chill out place to be with friends.and its exactly what im up to. Sardines is only 6euros and it the cheapest Ive got in Lisbon. Considering the location is in the center it is quite cheap. And it tastes soooo good! You should all try it!
Sangria was personally made by Maria, the owner. And it was hella good as well. For 2euros you get a big glass of sangria with bits of fruits in it.
And lastly, the owner, cook, servant herself, Maria. Hats off to you and for everthing that you do! I felt like i have a grandma away from home in you. Thank you for your hospitality and I wish your business all the best of luck!
Everyone on Lisbon or planning to go to Lisbon, you should all try her resturant or better, you can stay at her Airbnb!!

Si queréis comer como si os hubiera invitado a comer una familia portuguesa, este es el sitio. Comida casera, casera de verdad. Pedimos el pau de cerdo y los pasteles de bacalao y estaban buenísimos, bien aderezados y llenos de sabos. Nada que ver con esos pasteles de bacalao sosos y apelmazados que venden en otros sitios. Las tarta de queso y arándanos está buenísima. No os asustéis si os la sirven un poco deconstruida, está buenísima de verdad. Merece la pena ir. Está un poco escondido, pero sólo por probar sus pasteles de bacalao merece la pena buscarlo.

Lovely food in lovely place. We accidentally stumbled upon this place (go up the stairs in the small alley) and had a very nice time during our last evening in Lisbon. Home-cooked delicious food, more tapas-like, which you can see being prepared in the open kitchen. Owner and waitress are extremely friendly! We got a free ginjinha at the end :) If you want you can write something on their wall (which already people from all over the world have done before you)

Altough a little of the roads. It deserves the title of a hidden gem in Lisboa. Food was awesome. I can recommend the fried sardines the mixed Portuguese Sausage platter as well as the chocolate mousse. A really authentic experience.

Uno de los mejores lugares de Lisboa para compartir petiscos (tapas portuguesas). Está un poco escondido, pero es todo un descubrimiento. Todo casero y a buen precio.
Me gustan especialmente las sardinas a la brasa, la ensalada de pulpo y el bacalao rebozado, toda una delicia. Prueba también el delicioso pica pau que preparan.

여기는 2호점 입니다. 짠내투어에서 들어간 곳은 1호점이고. 여긴 2호점. 먹는것 촬영은 어디서 했는지 좀 헷갈립니다. 이집 짠내투어에서는 가성비 식당으로 나오는데 실제로는 맛집입니다. 정말 맛있습니다.

un gran descubrimiento tanto el sitio con mucho encanto como María..la dueña , una persona muy entrañable.
muy bueno el bacalao( todo comida casera y fresca), las sardinas..y las patatas bravas...todo acompañado de un vino verde y agua purificada.

Dicidimos este restaurante por los comentarios positivos y fue todo un acierto. El sitio está algo escondido pero mereció la pena ir, volveremos sin dudarlo. Comimos bacalao de la casa, ensalada de pulpo, patatas salteadas, vino, aceitunas y cafés todo estaba riquísimo. Comida abundante para 2 personas y por sólo 31 euros. La señora que nos atendió encantadora.

J’ai été un peu déçu par rapport à la première adresse (choix un peu plus restreint lors de notre passage, accueil un peu moins chaleureux (dimanche soir peut être...), travaux dans le hall d’a côté entraînant une forte odeur d’humidité dans la salle, plat un peu trop salé) même si l’ensemble est correct. Ambiance toujours aussi colorée et salle plus grande qu’à la première adresse.

TOP. Muy recomendable. Encontramos el sitio por Google Maps buscando un sitio para comer cerca de la catedral. Está escondido pero el plato de bacalao de la casa es espectacular.
Nos hubiera encantado probar postre pero con el plato principal fue más que suficiente.

A very nice discover in my first day in Lisbon. Really friendly and intimate place with a very fast service. I order Pataniscas , rice with beans and fried coldfish. My husband order house coldfish. The owner offer us 2 glasses of porto. We also tasted a dessert similar to italian tiramisu, and speaking from italian side..was very good, everything for a very reasonable price I really recomend this restaurant . Really good esperience.

El mejor lugar donde he comido en Lisboa, por su relación calidad-precio y por la cercanía de su camarer y cocinera. Comida exquisita, tuvimos que darle la enhorabuena a la cocinera porque verdaderamente estaba todo muy rico, una señora muy apañada para estar ella sola. El sitio es dificil encontrarlo si no vas buscándolo, pero Google te guiará. Sin duda alguna, el mejor recuerdo que me llevo.

Lovely place with great food!
The place is hidden in the back of a stair and a cat indicates the entrance.

Fuimos al sitio por las buenas recomendaciones leídas. Pero hemos viajado por medio Portugal así que el concepto de comida local es muy justo. Los precios en relación a sitios locales son caros - 4 gambas muy bien hechas por cierto casi 9 euros-. La ensalada de pulpo -que no pedimos- a 11 euros, casi más del doble de dónde hemos estado (Algarve, costa Vicentina, suroeste alentejano y restaurante de barrio en Lisboa). El servicio es correcto pero según entramos preguntamos si podíamos pagar con tarjeta, aún teniendo la indicación explícita de que si se podía, y cuando fuimos a pagar nos dijeron que tenían problemas con el TPV y que no aceptaban tarjetas. Después de muchos intentos lograron solucionarlo. Sin duda, no es un sitio recomendable en Lisboa con independencia de que los precios en la capital sean más elevados que en el resto del país.

He menjat una sopa i el bacallà a la portuguesa. Els dos han estat molt bons, però el bacallà ha estat fantàstic. Per arrodonir-ho, una crema de coco de postres, també molt bona. El personal, molt atent i amable, sense arribar a ser pesats. Val la pena, perquè a més, el preu, sense ser barat, és raonable.

Came here recommended by the hostel staff, February 2019.
This place was recommended by the staff of the hostel where I was staying. It's located in a small alley so use Googlemaps to find it. It's very close to the Cathedral in Alfama district. The menu is written in a blackboard, homemade Portuguese cuisine cooked by lovely Maria. I was going to get 2 dishes but it was so delicious and reasonable priced that I took a third dish. Patanishcas are a MUST, fried battered cod in Portuguese style. Also order feijoada, rice with beans to eat it with the patanishcas. After both dishes I was so delighted with the food that I ordered chicken pika pau. It was a stir fried dish of Chicken with pickles sauce, sour and salty, but it was delicious.
Who said that you need to splurge to eat well? this place is perfect so make sure to pay them a visit if you have time.

Amazing place! Little and very kind, the restaurant it’s humble and very beautiful with all the walls full of positive phrases and reviews about the place. All the table are tiny and the chairs are stools inside but are not a problem. The food is amazing and cheap! You can feel the Lisbon love inside. The wine is normal. Fries codfish and the codfish a casa are fantastic. Highly recommended!

Petit restaurant en haut des marches d’une rue étroite, accueil très très chaleureux, très bonne cuisine locale maison pour un prix dérisoire, tenu par une petite dame courageuse qui travaille pour la mémoire de son mari et animée par la satisfaction de ses clients. 2 expériences au top ! Et deco atypique, il faut le découvrir.

My husband and I tried almost everything(olives, shrimp, rice with red beans, mix board, fried cod...) and they were all amazing! The best sardines I've ever had. Great jar of Green wine. Read the Grandma's story. Very touching and encouraging!

Es un bar bastante escondido. Es un poco destartalado y muy pequeño. Pero cuando nos han servido la comida, sin duda hemos pensado que hemos acertado en el lugar. La comida buenísima. Hemos pedido pollo, ensalada de pulpo y el bacalao, sin duda el mejor plato de todos. Comida típica del lugar. Todo muy rico.

Excellent ! Petit resto coincé au fond d'une ruelle, très convivial avec les murs couverts de petits mots des clients. Nous avons commandé plusieurs plats pour les partager à trois afin d'en goûter un maximum. La patronne nous a très gentiment conseillé de prendre des migas, et nous n'avons pas regretté ! Et un très bon rapport qualité prix pour couronner le tout !

Très bon petit restaurant il faut le trouvé petite ruelle en impasse un peu à l écart du tourisme de masse !! mais cela vaut le coup planché de charcuterie grillé typique je recommande ainsi, que les viandes le riz et un super accueil parle un peu français et beaucoup de gentillesse

Magnifique restaurant de tapas qui offre un choix modéré, signe d'un restaurant préparant des plats faire maison. Les prix sont honnêtes et les tapas copieux et savoureux. Le repas en famille s'est passé merveilleusement bien et le service a vraiment été adorable. Encore merci pour ce moment !

Nous n'avons pas été déçus bien au contraire ! Restaurant certes petit mais convivial et très chaleureux. Nous y sommes allé trois fois durant notre séjour au Portugal et pour cause les plats proposés sont délicieux, les meilleurs que l'on a goûté à Lisbonne ! Prenez les pataniscas, la salade de poulpe, le bacalhau "á casa" ou les sardines, les incontournables de ce restaurant. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter.

Very poor service; some dishes on the menu were not available, others tasted like reheated. To top it all, credit card payment was not accepted because "the reader didn't work".

I'm so glad we found this hidden gem: it turned out to be the best culinary experience we had in Lisbon. Maria is not only an excellent cook but a very lovely person: your Portuguese grandma you never knew you had Amazingly fresh grilled sardines, divine desserts ("You have to try this rice pudding, I cooked it from 5 litres of milk through 3 hours" she says and boy, it was the creamiest thing I've ever eaten She really puts her heart & soul into every dish. If you ever go to Lisbon, seek out this place, you won't regret it (plus the price/value ratio is unbeatable: we paid €24 for two glasses of wine, starters, mains, and desserts).

Easily the best meal we've had in Lisbon, and very reasonably priced! The atmosphere and service were terrific. We've dined here during both of our trips to Lisbon, and we will definitely be returning. (My wife and I had gazpacho soup, marinated sardines, beans & rice, octopus salad, cod fritters, chocolate mousse desserts, and a glass of wine each. The bill for everything was 35 euros)

The food is the best. Fresh, simple, tasty and VERY affordable. The service is so friendly and accommodating. We ordered the marinated sardines, cod fritters, beans & rice, octopus salad, gazpacho soup and a chocolate mousse. We had ordered more (!) but the waiter told us we could eat and when we were full, to just cancel the remaining orders. Wonderful. Would recommend to everyone.

It’s hard to describe how great our experience was at Lisboa Tu e Eu.
The food reminded me what my mom used to cook and the staff is the best I ever found in Lisbon. Both make the atmosphere so warm, you feel like you’re in your mom’s kitchen
I only discover the restaurant this summer but I am a customer for life.
This place is a must, you can’t miss it !

Le chef prépare tout devant vous, c'est frais, délicieux et pas cher.
29€ à 2 pour des sardines, une super salade de poulpe, des calamars, des accras de morue, du pain et des olives.
Les serveurs et le chef sont hyper sympa
