i change 500 euro into thai currency believing i was getting the normal exchange rate, and only paying 5 euro fee, i ended up paying 150 euro i calculated later!!!!

Extremely sketchy money exchange spot. Off the bat, the exchange rate is fairly low, I was doing USD to euros and it was about 8 cents short of the standard exchange rate. Unfortunate, but not unusual. Also, it looks like there's a charge or tax fee that is applied if the exchange amount is too low. What was suspicious was that there were 2 workers on a booth where they had vision behind me, along with a worker from another store chatting it up outside the booth next to me. The guy working on my exchange kept delaying the exchange. The computer was slow, I had to show my passport a second time, more delays in getting the receipt to print. A 5 minute process turned into 15. Now, when I sit back down and turn my backpack around, someone rummaged through an empty path in my backpack. I knew because it was unzipped and a pin that I tied through the hole in the zipper was gone. I am 99% sure the guys working the booth could've seen someone standing behind me suspiciously for 10+ minutes so I can't help but wonder if the delays were intentional. If you're desperate for money exchange, sure maybe do it here at a loss, but keep your pockets covered and any bags or backpacks in front of you. Be aware and be suspicious.

Péssima experiência na loja II do Centro Comercial Colombo. Funcionário mal informado não reconheceu cartão Diners Internacional como cartão de crédito válido para conversão de tax free, dizendo que o cartão era de”alimentação”. Recusou se a fazer a conversão do tax free da Loja do El Corte Inglês , contradizendo informação passada pela loja da Nova Câmbios (103) anteriormente visitada . Atendimento demorado, confuso e com evidente ma vontade com o turista.
