Ottimo ristorante portoghese, cucina locale e piatti super abbondanti. Consiglio il baccalà con strapazzata di uova e cipolle, buonissimo! Gentilissimo il personale che ci ha sbalorditi quando si sono offerti per accompagnarci in hotel vedendo i bimbi che dormivano al tavolo.

Un endroit où l on mange des plats typiques Portugais fort bon. Pas de surplus à l addition pour le couvert. Je donne un cinq étoiles à la seule serveuse qui le mérite toujours souriante, aimable et qui donne des conseils de plus elle parle Français une vraie professionnelle Bravo Mlle nous gardons un très bon souvenir.

Not only is this a legendary local restaurant but the food is amazing. Don’t expect to have a rushed meal here because this is a place you come to enjoy the best seafood and wine and great conversations. The bacalhau with natas will blow you away. Shellfish prepared to old world Portuguese tradition. Don’t even get me started on the desserts.
A must go!

Typical Portuguese food in this old, well established restaurant, the prices are medium to superior range but nothing that would surprise you considering the general level of service and food quality. I would recommend going for food choices within typical Portuguese taste as they excel in those. A certain eighties style to it. I definitely recommend

Good house wine. Bread in plastic on the table. Cheese looking like it been standing on the table whole day. Meat dishes are okay and fish and seafood dishes are a better choice.

We're told to go up back and find a set. Sitting down there is bagged roles, glad wrapped cheese, and some sort of meat dish out in front of us. The waiter promptly came to take our order of which we'd decided on the Portuguese steak. There was no other questions, nothing about how we'd like the steak, or what sides etc. When asked where drinks we'd like I answered with what is the common response in Portugal "red wine please" and the voice back at me was simply "bottle?" Of which it just took a look for the waiter to understand "of course".
Our steaks arrived on a silver plate and I was surprised by the level of skill in the silver service used to move the steak and gravy to our plates.
The steaks themselves were what I'd say is bad at best. Very dry, very over cooked, and in NZ I'd have sent them back in a heartbeat. The potatoes however where good.
What I'm struggling with at the moment is how to pay at the end of the meal. It's very American style where you ask for the cheque and wait. However we spent longer waiting for the cheque than we did ordering and waiting for our food. I don't think the NZ way of walking up to the counter to pay is done at all, and would cause great confusing.
Average meal. But at least the company was great :)

The place has a nice vibe. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Food arrives on the table sealed. If you open the seal you pay for it. There was an English version of the menu.

Comida ótima, mas, os garçons não falaram uma boa noite, precisam de treinamento. Fiquei aguardando e, sem exceção, todos os clientes ao sair comprimentava com um boa noite - inglês, francês, alemão, espanhóis, menos os portugueses e os garçons.

The food was fantastic. The steak was great and the potatoes were very delicious. The cod was also very good.
The service was very friendly. The waiter recommended us an excellent port at the end of our meal. This place also had English menus, which we really appreciated.
This is not the most touristy of places (the interior and plates/cutlery are very no-frills and have canteen vibes), but good for casual local dining.

Restaurante típico portugués. Cocinan carnes y pescados, con salas, a la brasa, etc y con acompañamiento variado.
El precio es un poco elevado, pero se come bien. Con un plato, te quedas satisfecho.
Te sirven entrantes de queso, croquetas, patés y mantequillas que si los pruebas te cobrarán después.
Tuvieron de detalle de ofrecernos vino de Oporto y chocolates, a pesar de no pedir postres ni cafés.

Desastrosa cena sin motivo alguno.el hotel nos recomendó el sitio y fuimos no se por que el camarero parecía enfadado y desagradable pero con nosotros con los demás no eso si hablaban portugués nosotros español.no nos recomendó nada y tuvimos que comer al aire eso si cuando vio que no había propina intentó ser simpático.

The first we did after getting checked in is to have a late lunch at this wonderful place and i should say it was so great!!!i orderd the prawn with the rice and mushel,the amout is like for 2 but if you are so hungry then its ok .The price is affordable and atmosphere is just welcoming!gonna come back again for sure.

Eight of us went to Colina for our final meal in Portugal. What a wonderful choice! One of the specials for the day was barbecued cod. We were advised that an order would serve two so we ordered it for everyone. It was served swimming in olive oil and perfectly cooked broccoli. The fish was succulent and the few bones easy to remove. These of course were washed down with Portuguese red and white wines. During dinner we kept eyeing a giant marange in the dessert case. We ordered two slices to share and it came with caramel sauce and a sprinkle of nuts. The total price was €122. Wow!

YUM! The food and service was great. My husband and children had a seafood platter that was to feed 2 but if certainly could have fed 4. I had the vegetable soup and cod. The food was seasoned so well and our waiter recommended a very nice whisky we thoroughly enjoy.
If you go here bring cash for tip.

Precio por encima de la media. Si bien, los platos son generosos, en lo que a cantidad se refiere, no van a ser recordados como el mejor bacalao de Lisboa. El local no es elegante, encontrándose las mesas muy próximas y la ambientación es inexistente. El trato personal es correcto, destacando que hablan español. No obstante, desde que te sientas en la mesa, te van colocando en la misma diversos entrantes ( queso, mantequilla, paté de sardina, croquetas de bacalao, pan, tostadas...) Que sin pedirlos, en última instancia, aparecen en la cuenta engrosandola.

Super endroit. Super cuisine typiquement lisboète. Très copieux. Accueil très chaleureux.
Nous y sommes retourné deux jours plus tard. Sachant qu'ici les plats sont très copieux, nous avons commandé des soupes et des boissons. Le serveurs est devenu très désagréable. Au contraire de sa jeune collègue. Nous n'irons plus.

Si vous pouvez fuyez ! Une usine à gaz...enfin à touristes ! Le serveur vous demande quel hôtel vous a envoyés. Des tables alignées les unes à côté des autres, on dirait une cantine...avec nappe blanche. Heureusement on est venus tôt, sinon dès 20h00 un monde fou et beaucoup de bruit. J'ai pris la morue malheureusement elle baigne dans l'huile (si j'avais su) ! Mon mari a bien aimé son plat, le porc aux palourdes, mais a reconnu que c'était un peu gras.

Péssima experiência. Acabaram com momento em família pelo mal atendimento. Pedimos para mudar de mesa por duas vezes devido a problemas com as lâmpadas restaurante (piscando sobre a mesa) e eles não gostaram. Devem ser garçons mal remunerados que na ocasião de ausência do dono maltratam o cliente. Deveria ter me levantado e indo embora! Não arruíne seu jantar!

Příjemný personál, milé posezení a dobré jídlo. Porce jsou opravdu velké, někomu by mohla stačit i poloviční. Přibližná cena za večeři pro dva se pohybuje okolo 40€.
Měli jsme hovězí svíčkovou a bacalhau à minhota a můžeme doporučit. :-)

A comida é bem servida, as entradas são muoto saborosas, comi um croquete e tambem um salgadinho folheado, muito bom. De prato principal comemos arroz com gambas e mariscos, muito bem servido, comemos em três pessoas. O atendimento foi excelente e o preço é otimo para o que oferecem. Recomendo este restaurante, gostamos todos que até fomos duas vezes.

The place is a bit obscure, without windows, the menu hardly legible, but once you get the food, you'll be fine! We enjoyed the cod with tomato rice, the table red wine was also good.

Trött och nonchalant service, tyvärr! Vi åt nstionalrätten Baclau som tyvärr hade mycket restsmak av lut och var torr. Deras Creme Catalan var utmärkt om än stor portion. Du kanske har bättre tur, stället var fullt med portugisen som verkade glada.

Warning: This place is a RIP OFF, especially for tourists. They put a lot of nibbles on the table and they don’t tell you it’s NOT free, they will charge €0.5-1 per item, such as a tiny butter, jam or piece of bread. Additionally the menu they provide have two sections, one in Portuguese and the other in English. They have the same items but the English menu have higher prices (an example, cordon bleu is €12.10 on the Portuguese menu and €19.80 on the English menu). The waiter got annoyed that I used google translate to find use the Portuguese menu and he kept asking my girlfriend to use the English menu. When we asked why the price was different, he couldn’t explain so we left. I’d recommend going to Laurentina which is a couple of blocks away, with similar prices and a great atmosphere. Staff is so much better too.

Colina was recommended to use by the hotel concierge. It appeared to be a mid-range restaurant but the atmosphere was very busy and formal attire but less than formal atmosphere. After being seated, we were asked to move tables due to a larger group of people coming in- we obliged. The food was decent. The cost of two meals, a bottle of wine and one dessert was 37€, but that seemed a little pricey to be honest. Upon paying the bill, the waiter brought our change back and asked what hotel we were staying and then went to talk to another waiter AND left with our change. He never returned. As we were leaving the restaurant, he was standing outside and so we asked why he asked the hotel we were staying and he told us it was because it was a local place that tourist didn’t usual go/ we didn’t ask for our change. Overall, ok food, but a little sneaky. Would probably go somewhere else where my money would be better spent

Attention au surprise sur l'addition. table dressée avec 1 petit plateau comprenant 1 beurre, 1 paté sardine, 1 fromage à tartiner en barquette individuelle, 4 morceaux de pain, et des mini biscotte toastés, puis le serveur dépose une assiette avec 3 croquettes. Je pensai que cela permettait de patienter en attendant d être servie. Erreur car cela vous est facturé dans l'ordre 1€ + 1€ +1€ + 1,20€ (2 morceaux pain) + 0.70€ biscottes, et 4.50€ les croquettes soit 9,40€. Du vol. Touriste = pingeon.
Ensuite, le plat : le porc est trop cuit, sec seules les pommes de terre ont de la saveur.
Le personnel est antipathique (absence de sourire, de présence, etc..). nous avons laissé un pourboire (3€), pas un regard, pas un sourire. pas un merci. Je ne le recommande pas.

Recommended by our hotel. Must be a relative. We were hungry from all day travel and got there about 4:30. It was open but still in the process of prepping for evening customers. I think the staff was having a competition as to who could be louder - both by yelling at each other and by throwing the cutlery into the storage bins. Other staff were rolling large garbage bins and shopping carts in and out of the restaurant through the front door and luckily for us, beside our table. For traditional Portuguese food, it was lacking in both flavour and lustre. I had the vegetable soup which was rice in a broth with a few green things floating in it. My partner had the cordon blue smothered in fries. Very little flavour except for the overpowering blue cheese in about one or two bites of the total meal. Overall, this was a disappointment and for €43 for soup, croquettes, one meal and two small bottles of wine I don’t feel it is worth the the effort and cost especially after listening to the banter (arguments?).

Food was very good. Service was fast, too. Make sure you pay attention to the bread wrapped in baggies and the butter and cheese on the table. You will need to pay for these as well if you open them. This is not something an American or someone that is not from Europe is accustomed to. The waiter was somewhat rude, but I also think that was because the restaurant was so busy.

This is one of the restaurants that were open on New Year’s Day. The restaurant must have run out of the grouper that day (or whatever fish they claim is in the stew) and decided to substitute it with chicken. On top of that the waiter decided to charge it as a more expensive dish without telling us in advance. Not only did the waiter yelled at us for pointing out the bait-and-switch but also the manager watched silently without apologizing.
The nasty and confrontational attitude in front of my family was absolutely unnecessary.

Wir hatten mit dem Service Glück und konnten ein leckeres Essen genießen. Auch der Wein hat gemundet. Ein Stern Abzug für die schlecht lesbare Karte, dass das Essen recht lange gedauert hat und man nicht bestellte Vorspeisen an den Tisch bekommt. Einfach stehen lassen oder ablehnen.

I went to this place on the recommendation of the person who checked me in at my hotel. It was on the late side on a Monday night (close to 9 PM) and I asked what was available for dinner that was open until at least 11 PM. She pointed me to this establishment and said they offered good Portuguese fare. I can now say that she was absolutely correct.
The storefront was unobtrusive and, even though the facility was spacious, it was still rather crowded despite the late hour. Nonetheless, I was able to be seated. English was not a problem in placing my order. The wait staff were very professional, and very good at what they did.
The menu was largely Portuguese and there were several interesting choices. I had the shrimp croquettes as an appetizer, which served as a nice starter. I chose the shrimp in curry sauce for my main, which was very good. In general, I was quite happy with the quality of my fare.
With food and drinks, the bill was €27.50. This was just over $30 USD with the conversion at the time. This was quite reasonable considering the quality of the fare.
If you are in the neighborhood and are interested in Portuguese fare, this is a good bet.

Fuimos a almorzar. El lugar se llena, por lo que ir al mediodía es imposible. Encontramos lugar a las 15.
La carta es variada. Los platos son abundantes y con sabor. Muy bien preparados.
El lugar está medio escondido, pero fácil de encontrar.
Le doy 3 estrellas por tres motivos:
-entre los quesos y panes que ponen como servicio de mesa gastamos 10€, lo cual no es advertido que se cobrará aparte y no queda claro si se pueden rechazar o no.
-A mi pareja le dijeron que su plato de salmón venía acompañado con verduras. Lo que llegó fue solo brócoli cocido, al pedir el cambio por no poder comerlo, pidió rucula y le trajeron chauchas (porotos verdes)
-Muy caro para ser un mediodía.

Comida de qualidade e muito bem confeccionada. Os acompanhamentos são mantidos quentes. Tenho experimentado vários pratos e todos tem merecido 4 e 5 estrelas. Funcionários diligentes. Relação preço/ qualidade muito boa, cerca de 30€ pessoa.

Also ganz ehrlich, das war ein Schuss in den Ofen! Die Gemüsesuppe für 2.50€ war ok, aber das Hauptgericht, drei gegrillte Schweinesteaks mit Pommes für 14.50€, unfassbar schlecht! Drei trockene sehr dünne Scheibchen Fleisch und viel zu kurz frittierte Pommes ohne alles! So einen Mist, bekommt man wirklich selten serviert! Die kleine Flasche Rotwein hingegen war gut und relativ günstig! Es kann sein das man hier besser Fisch isst, aber dann sollte man das Fleisch von der Karte nehmen!

A Colina é um clássico desde há vários anos. Comida muito boa e uma carta com várias (e boas) opções da cozinha tradicional portuguesa. Atendimento bom e agradável. Boa relação qualidade/preço. Muito boa opção para refeições de familia e negócios. Convém reservar. Naquela zona o estacionamento é o da EMEL e também existem parques subterrâneos bastante próximos.

Busy place but we were at a table within about 10 minutes although it was kind of odd waiting as nobody came over to us. I had the grilled cod and it was actually very good, however I do not like all the oil on the bottom of the plate that seems to be prevalent here. However the shrimp curry was not so good, the shrimp were tasteless and not enough curry sauce to cover the rice. if you want a good piece of cod that's grilled I'd recommend it anything else try somewhere else.

It is a typical Portuguese restaurant, full with locals. It looks like a canteen. The waiters do not speak English but in the menu there is a column with food in English. The food is OK, not something special, but the prices are pretty high. They bring on the table different starters which are then added to the payment note.

I asked the waiter for suggestions with choosing the cod dish as they had baked, grilled and another one with sauces. His description helped me to choose the one I liked which was baked cod with potatoes. I ordered the house white wine with it. They were both delicious. There was a bit too much oil in the plate for my liking but taste wise it was good. 2 glasses of w/wine and the baked cod- my bill was around 23€.

Would not recommend. The service is slow, the food is not tasty. They also bring you appetisers without warning you that they will make you pay for them despite not ordering them. The many books look like they've been used for 30 years without change or cleaning.

La peor experiencia de mi viaje a Lisboa. El restaurante nos lo recomendaron en el hotel e hicimos la reserva, cuando llegamos al restaurante nos atendió un camarero muy desagradable, todo lo q se le preguntaba era hablarte con mal genio, pienso q muy poco profesional. A la hora de pedir la cuenta, vimos varios errores en ella, pero un camarero joven nos lo solucionó. Pedimos 2 cataplana, demasiado cara para lo mala que estaba, el marisco congelado y duru también pedimos carne y estaba durisima, el camarero joven nos la retiro sin ningún problema. Si vuelvo a Lisboa no repetiré este restaurante.

Tourist trap - don't eat the complimentary starters that you didn't order because you are charged for them. What should have been a fairly inexpensive meal wound up over 50 euros. Food wasn't great, salty and there were no vegetables apart from a plate of lettuce that could be ordered, and our meals didn't come with veg the way that some other people's did. Service was OK.

Service et serveur désagréable (ce disputer avec son équipe, faisait claquer le couvert en le posant, souffler ou lever les yeux en l air lors de la prise de commande et à même dit à son collègue qu on était chiant ) j'ai trouveras déplacer irrespectueux, resto très cher pour l'ambiance et la qualité (steak au poivre avec du veau alors qu il certifier que c etait du bœuf, rempli de sauce pour cacher la viande et la couleur, crevette surgelé...) , sortie avec une note de 250 euro .

Wir hatten zu dritt eine Fischplatte für 2 Personen und es war noch immer zu viel. Es war sehr lecker!! Gefehlt hat mir nur eine Soße oder Kräuterbutter zum Fisch. Es gab einen Portwein vom Haus als Verdauungsgetränk zum Abschluss.

Restaurant alimenté par les réceptionnistes des hôtels avoisinants : on vous demande la carte du restaurant avec le tampon de l'hôtel au dos... Tout n'est pas réellement mauvais, mais d'une lourdeur jamais vue (cf. la photo des crevettes mayonnaise, ou l'inverse ?).
Ambiance cantine, niveau culinaire idoine.
Bref, si vous n'avez pas envie de trouver mieux, vous pouvez tenter l'expérience. Mais je peux vous assurer que vous trouverez forcément mieux et moins cher dans les charmants petits établissements de l'Alfama.

Deficil estacionar um carro.
Canja de galinha, feita com slma.
Carril de gambas, era horrível. Tinha tanta piri-piri, que a boca ardia na nanha seguinte. Tenho uma gastrite, comi pouco e portanto não gostei.

O melhor arroz de marisco e açorda de camarão que comi em muito tempo. Atendimento top, espaço muito giro. Só demorou um pouco a conta mas também estávamos com tempo :) a repetir!!!

Having been recommended to eat at this place by a receptionist at our hotel, we sat down at a table, looked at the menu and decided to leave. It has many of the virtues of an old fashioned greasy spoon cafe and not what I would hope for in a modern city eating place. Very disappointing when there are some good restaurants nearby.

Very bad food, the worst in Lisbon. And very bad service. Very expensive. We were travelling with a big group, and we all got food poisoned. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Calling it mediocre would be too kind. I have had better food at factory canteens. I will say no more.

Comida muito boa e pessoal amigável, mas demorado.
