This is a gem of a delicate but assured cooking, when a seeming simplicity of a finished meal surprises you with a masterly execution and perfect ingredients. The very poorly laid out and fancy font-laden menu in many European languages does not even begin to do a proper service dishes it lists. Prawns with sauce Xuxu were not interesting enough, but the texture of prawns and delicate taste of sauce insisted that this is a solid entry, yet in need of some reworking of the dish's balance. The tuna in love was a masterpiece: no prevailing or domineering spices, yet superbly cooked tuna steak with some greens and veggies proved that the dish has to be taken slowly and seriously to enjoy its deep pallette. The cookie dessert, which is multi-layered torte, was another marvel. Fresh, moist, perfectly executed combination of softness, crunchiness and sweetness to make you wish for more, yet fully satisfying with even one spoonful. The mother of the waiter was allegedly responsible for these delicacies: BRAVA!

Kleines, aber urgemütliches Restaurant. Das Essen war lecker, das Fleisch auf den Punkt gebraten. Nur eine Kellnerin bediente ca 30 Gäste. Hut ab vor der Dame. Diesem Umstand geschuldet, kam es zu Wartezeiten, die aber durchaus im Rahmen waren.

We were 9 people.. nonetheless the restaurant served 2 big groups that arrived after us first... they took more than 1h to bring us the food because it was grilled meat and it was supposed to be done in the moment but mine was already cold when it arrived at the table. Will not go back.

5 Words: Worst fish in my life. We waited for an hour too get our dinner. I got a fish that was more then over the point of „well done“ (and I was not asked for the degree of doneness). It was more like leather. Never had something like this before. This ultimately dead fish was full of fish bones, I could hardly eat it. It must have been very bad cut filets. However, the dish was decorated with not-marinated salad and potatoes, where I needed to cut away some uneatable, black parts. The waitress did not asked us, how we liked our food, when she cleared the table, and I am sure she had a reason for not asking. I was very surprised, the restaurant has a quite good rating. I did not expect this and I hope for all other guests, that this was just an exception...

Típico lugar de Portugal para comer. Su punto fuerte es la francesinha (una bomba) . Después bastante opción de postres. Para almuerzo y menu anda bárbaro.

Passei e parei. Vi o menu e agradou-me, no meio de 11 pratos, o bacalhau com broa. Pouco depois vi que foi mal escolhido. O bacalhau que se queria com broa era tão somente um bacalhau com natas sobre o qual desfizeram broa. Foi isto. Bacalhau com broa aqui é, pasmem-se... bacalhau com natas sobre o qual desfizeram broa. Temo vir aqui um dia, pedir um robalo escalado e receber um carapauzinho, com pó talco nas mãos porque andou a fazer escalada!

Nous avons passé une très bonne soirée dans ce petit restaurant typique portugais. L'acceuil et le service ont été très agréable et très rapide. Nous avons mangé de bons plats portugais faits avec des produits locaux ce qui est d'ailleurs la devise de ce restaurant. Les tartes maison étaient très bonnes et le prix défi toute concurrence. Vraiment je recommande.

Nous recommandons vivement ce petit restaurant pour le cadre, la qualité et la convivialité. Un bon petit restaurant. Personnel adorable. Les crevettes à la sauce Xuxu sont pas mal du tout : la sauce curry-safran est très bonne et, à défaut de riz, j'ai eu un bel assortiment de légumes beaux et frais. Et, en dessert, il y a une sorte de cheesecake glacé aux fruits rouges qui est une vraie tuerie ! PS : Retour quelques jours après. Les côtelettes d'agneau à la sauce à la menthe sont délicieuses. Les produits sont toujours aussi frais et le service toujours aussi attentionné. Le tout pour un budget très raisonnable. Une très bonne adresse.

Cercando su the fork un ristorante che facesse cucina portoghese e che fosse vicino l'hotel è sbucato fuori Paixao aos Molhos. Ubicato in un quartiere residenziale a nord del centro storico, nei pressi della fermata metropolitana Sao Sebastiao, in una zona molto tranquilla, soprattutto durante la settimana. Da fuori non sembrava niente di che ma quando siamo entrati, l'ambiente interno era molto raffinato ed accogliente. Il ragazzo che ci ha fatto accomodare, che abbiamo scoperto dopo essere il figlio del proprietario, è stato molto gentile e soprattutto paziente, dato che noi non parlavamo portoghese e lui non sembrava cavarsela bene con l'inglese. Dopo uno studio accurato del menù e un pò di indecisione abbiamo ordinato io un trancio di tonno alla griglia con verdure grigliate e il mio fidanzato si è buttato su un classico: panino con hamburger insalata, pomodori. Devo dire che erano entrambi molto buoni, il pesce fresco e cotto molto bene, oltre un'accurata preparazione del piatto. Totale della cena 27€ in due incluso di sconto ricevuto per aver prenotato tramite l'applicazione the fork. Tutto sommato niente male. Assolutamente consigliato!

Entramos porque não havia grande alternativa. Era domingo e estava quase tudo fechado. Ainda bem, porque senão nunca entrariamos ali. Espaço bonito e agradável. Música certa no volume certo. Comensais boa companhia. E a comida ótima. Altamente recomendável.

This restaurant was disappointing. Whilst the food was ok, the waiting was excruciating for everyone in the restaurant (it was fairly full). I can't help thinking that they were short-staffed, intentionally or not I don't know.

Ottimo ristorante in una zona fuori centro di Lisbona. Sono stato per caso in questo ristorante, e ho mangiato davvero bene. Oltre ad un ottima carne (picanha) veramente buona la salsa a corredo. Servizio molto buono, il cameriere è stato cordialissimo. Spesa molto bassa, ottimo rapporto/qualità prezzo. Chi ha preso l'hamburger non è rimasto soddisfatto come me. Consigliato

Uma francesinha alternativa, bastante saborosa que merece no mínimo uma oportunidade!

Nous avons gouté deux très bons plats portugais à base de morue. Le vin est blanc portugais"Caiado" vaut le détour. Le service est courtois et rapide dans une atmosphère (un peu trop?) tamisée.
