Die Zimmer waren SEHR klein und das WC mikro….Auch wenn uns bewusst war, dass die Unterkunft eher kleine Zimmer anbiete, aber soooo klein ist doch zu klein..Im WC konnte man sich bei geschlossener Schiebetür weder an- noch abziehen... und wir sind schlanke Personen...Es wurde zwar schön renoviert, aber zu minimalistisch...

Hervorragende Lage, super zentral in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße gelegen. Das Hotel ist geschmackvoll modern eingerichtet und achtet auf Nachhaltigkeit. Das Personal ist extrem lieb und hilfsbereit, vor und nach jedem Ausflug hielten wir einen netten Plausch an der Rezeption.

Location is right at the center of tourist area and at Metro Baixa-Chiado station. Within walking distance to Elevador de Santa Justa, Arco da Rua Augusta, Praca do Comercio, etc.
Check-in was quick and we felt welcome. Staff gave us some cool recommendations and great advice!
The design is very artistic, modern design within an envelope of an old building. Love the homey feeling in our room. In terms of view, unfortunately, there is not much as it is facing another building.
A few things to improve:
- Our room is right in front of the staircase and elevator, it has noise issue at night when other guests come back late and walked. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to request for a quiet room option.
- there is no coffee/ tea making in the room. Would love to have that so that when we need a cup of coffee or tea, we could make it in our room.
- the door to bathroom is transparent glass, that means when you are in toilet, there is no privacy.

Close to cafes and restaurants. Great that it was close to Lisboa - Rossio station (6min walk) when I wanted to goto Sintra. A little difficult for ubers/taxis to find and get to as it is a little tucked away, but doable for the more experienced drivers. You have a pin code to get into your room and after midnight, another pin code to access the building. Room was spacious enough and clean. Great light from the window, practically designed, lovely shower/bathroom, bathrobes and towels were plentiful. Person who checked me in help with my luggage up the first flight of stairs and then was able to use the lift after.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff at the reception. The rooms are however really small. Nevertheless a clear recommendation if you want to stay in the centre but don´'t want to spend too much money per night.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We loved the simplicity of checking in and not having to worry about room keys (all doors have electronic key pads). Staff were very helpful and the location was perfect for exploring Lisbon. And quiet too even though we looked out onto a busy street. Highly recommend

Sehr gemütliches Hotel in bester Lage, mitten im Zentrum von Lisboa. Alles nötige für eine Städtereise ist fusläufig schnell ubd eingach zu erreichen. Die anreise vom Glughafen per U-Bahn ist simpel und extrem günstig. Von der haltestelke 300 m zu Fuß zum Hotel. Alle mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und begrüßen einen mit Namen. Die Zimmer sind klein aber völlig ausreichend und gut ausgestattet (Bademantel, Duschgel, Safe, TV). Man hat ein Smartphone im Zimmer, was man als City-Map wärend des aufenthalts nutzen kann. Tägliche Zimmerreinigung.Zum wohlfühlen. Jederzeit wieder!!

Tucked away on a side street in one of the most bustling districts of Lisbon it would be easy to overlook Esquina Urban Lodge. It has a narrow entry and an understated quality to it, despite being situated among high end stores, pastry shops, restaurants and bustling crowds.
The room we had was pretty cozy, imagine almost like a cruise ship cabin, however we had a nice view of the streets below and didn't plan on spending much time in the room. It was simple with some modern touches to even out the rougher edges.
The staff was all very friendly, always eager to answer questions, provide recommendations or just chit chat a bit. Such warm people and it made the bustle of the area feel much more manageable.
The prices were all pretty reasonable and I would definitely stay here again if I we're going to be in the same district in Lisbon for my next trip. If you plan on being out and adventuring, which you should cause you're in Lisbon, consider this hotel for the reasonable price, location and super friendly staff.

As a solo traveler the staff made me feel unbelievably comfortable in Lisbon. From the recommendations in places to visit and see to the facilities, I was truly blown away. If I come back to Lisbon, I will be sure to return to this beautiful hotel.

Die Zimmer waren sauber, Personal freundlich. Tolle LageAllerdings würde ich es nicht als 4*Sterne Hotel bezeichnen. Das Frühstück hat sehr wenig Auswahl. Um 9 Uhr bekommt man schon nichts mehr. In drei Tagen habe ich nie Eier bekommen oder Käse...Wir sind dann immer auswärts frühstücken gegangen.

The stay was very pleasant and staff was attentive and helpful, recommending where to go and eat. Our room had windows facing to the street, but surprisingly, the noise stayed out. On another note, I went with my fiancee, but if you're traveling with a friend, things could get awkward, as the shower has no covers or doors. Maybe it was just out room, but just a heads up.

Posizione eccellente! Per visita di città e molto comodo! Si trova nel cuore di Lisbona. Vicino ci sono molti cafe e ristorante. Si può fare passeggiate anche tardi. Zona e molto vivace e sicura. Rapporto di “Qualità - prezzo” e ottimo! Personale era gentile. La camera piccola, in stile hi tech, carinissima e molto simpatica! Con grande finestra, bellissimo bagno e buona biancheria da letto.

Ein modernes Stadthotel das vor allem für jüngere Leute das wichtige in guter Qualität bietet. Das Frühstück ist sehr bescheiden und der Lift erst ab dem 1. Stock zugänglich. Der Empfang besteht aus einem Tisch und einem Laptop.Die Zimmer sind in sehr gutem Zustand und das Bett super. Zudem steht ein Gratis-Handy zur Verfügung, das nützlich Apps anbietet und als Stadtführer nützlich ist.Cooles Design und super Lage.

I had a very pleasant stay. The staff was most caring and eager to share advice. The room was very modern and well kept. The only downside is the noise isolation : as the building is old, I could hear the neighbours talking in the corridor and staircase.

Wir waren recht enttäuscht von unserem Aufenthalt in der Esquina Urban Lodge. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, Dusche und Toilette sind nur durch eine durchsichtige Glastüre mehr schlecht als recht vom Schlafraum getrennt, das Waschbecken ist im Zimmer selbst angebracht... Alles in allem hat es uns eher an eine Jugendherberge erinnert als an ein 4-Sterne Hotel. Die Gäste sind auch eher Partyvolk, das dann zu später Stunde noch lärmend nach Hause kommt. Wir hatten sehr schöne Hotels in Portugal aber Esquina Urban Lodge gehörte definitiv nicht dazu und hat unseren Eindruck von Lissabon auch nachhaltig getrübt ...

Bis auf das Nachfolgende ein empfehlendswertes Hotel für Menschen, die gerne in einem kleinen, individuellen Hotel in einer Nebenstrasse mitten in der City wohnen wollen. Top-Standort für alle Stadtziele, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal und sehr sauber.Negativ: es gibt keinen Schrank, 6 freie Bügel an der Wand sind definitiv zu wenig für einen 6-tägigen Aufenthalt von 2 Personen. Im Bad fast keine Ablage und jeweils nur 1 Haken für 2 Handtücher (nichts trocknet), laute, nicht abschaltbare Dauerbelüftung.

My close friend and I stayed at the Esqina Urban Lodge for 3 nights. The staff emailed us ahead of time to ask if we had any questions or needed transportation from the airport. So lovely! The location was amazing; just what we wanted. It was right in downtown Lisbon, in walking distance to just about anything you could want; restaurants, sights, trains, bus stops, the castle etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negatives about Esqina were the terrible sink faucets that were so hard to turn on and off. Also, the room was very small, and there was no real bathroom; just a toilet with a glass door on one side and a shower on the other side of the hall. It was fine for my friend and I, as we are super comfortable with one another, but just be aware!

The reception staff are awesome. Very helpful: gave me a map and showed me where good local food was, also held my bags for me as I showed up before check-in time. They messaged back online when asked.
The rooms were clean, and had good wifi & A/C. The shower head was a big rain type shower and I never ran out of hot water. I enjoyed a few naps, as I found the bed really comfortable.
You receive a loaner phone that has data and 30 mins international calling that was really nice. It had a messaging app to to contact hotel staff with questions. I mainly used it for transit directions with google maps.
Note that on Saturdays the area is quite loud, but with your window shut you can easily sleep through it. The elevator starts a floor above the lobby, so ask for help getting your bags up if you need it.
The location of this hotel is very central, and I walked to Alfama, Chiado, and to the waterfront with ease. The plaza Rossio and Comercio are a 2 minute walk away.
There's also metro stations located nearby: Baixa-Chiado 3 blocks east (good for getting to/from airport with transfer to red line, or uptown), Cause de Sodre 6 blocks south (good for taking train or tram to Belem). The #28 tram up to the Castela is 2 blocks south. I recommend the 24 hour transit passes.
If you're really lazy (me one day) and you want to go to Chiado without walking up a small hill you can either take the Santa Justa Lift(big lines) or use the elevator in Armazens do Chiado mall to floor 5.
I can't stress enough how good the location is of this hotel.
Would definitely stay again!

Charming old building with modern rooms, downtown in a lively part of central Lisbon, but a block from the noisiest area, so that by 10pm it was actually very quiet. Fantastic base to explore the city by foot or transit (metro and bus a few blocks away, as well as many elevators to upper hill areas — the famous fancy one too, but that is just a tourist site, not a practical choice).Rooms are snug but comfortable, and you can buy food and keep it in their shared lounge, which has a fridge and tables. Enormous number of great nearby restaurants, including breakfast options (the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast).One small nit: the shower in our room had a glass door that swing in, not out. Quite hard to squeeze in, and if someone needed help I don’t see how you could get to them without removing the door (which would not be hard to do, if it came to that). But they should fix the hinges to let the door swing out, which would be an easy thing for their handyman to do. Otherwise, while the room was cozy, we didn’t feel that it was unreasonably small given the location.

Tolle Lage, man kann viel zu Fuss sehen, Metro fast gegenüber, Busse und Srassenbahn nicht weit; sehr schönes altes Haus; sehr nette Mitarbeiter, sauber, Aussattung OK, aber sooo klein - kein Platz für eine Stuhl oder Möglichkeit eine kleinen Laptop zu nutzen, unmöglich für 2 Personen, kein Platz für 2. Koffer oder Rucksack, kein Platz für Jacke oder mantel für 2. person - das kleinset Zimmer das ich als wirklich Vielreisender je hatte - Toilette mit integriertem Bett!!!, bestellter und bestätigter Transfer um 5 Uhr morgens zum Flughafen kam nicht!

I never leave reviews, but felt compelled to say something here. This was an extremely disappointing hotel and it should not be ranked at 4 stars. Two stars or 2.5 would be more appropriate.Let me start out by saying that I thought the staff was very kind and helpful. I was extremely disappointed with the room, especially for the price. When I booked the hotel, I was expecting a 4 star place. Ive traveled to Europe multiple times and Im aware that European lodging is typically much smaller than in the U.S. The room was incredibly small for the price and the shower had no door, which was not convenient as I was traveling with dad. The bathroom was one of the smallest Ive ever experienced and could barely step inside and shut the door.

Do not expect 4 star hotel quality. I don’t know whether this can be called as hotel either. It seems like they renovated only rooms of what used to be youth hostel. The room is noisy - understandable the noise from outside considering amazing location but louder from inside. The rooms are facing close to the staircase and you can hear everyone’s step, chats etc. There is no proper reception. I was quite shocked when I first arrived, they placed a table and university student like staff (1 staff only) for everything except for cleaning. Also, the rooms can be VERY small - I had to ask to change the room because I could not even open my suitcase. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who wants decently comfortable stay.

Good location. Rooms are ridiculously small. If you travel lightly without luggage, then room will suffice. Otherwise, no space to open up your luggage but on top of the bed. awesome bakery next door with awesome Pastel de Nata(egg custard). Surrounded by shopping and restaurants.

I was a bit disappointed with the hotel as the room were not soundproof at all and you could hear all the noise for the street and the hotel stairs. Appart from that, the bed are very comfortable, the staff more than friendly and the location perfect!

Good place to stay in Lisbon. Clean room, clean shower. They also provide a mobile phone that you can use with data (we didn't since we have our own phone). There's water provided in the room.
There's quite some noise in the morning. It's next to the main shopping street.

The location is right by the plaza and main streets! Pretty quiet for where its located! Amazingggg huge shower with waterfall showerhead and great smelling soap. Lovely friendly staff. They give you a free phone to use while staying there with gps data and international calls-amazing extra touch! Wifi worked well. Heat and ac worked well. Robes was another awesome touch and glass bottle of water with glasses.

Die Lage ist hervorragend, das Personal war immer zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sehr klein. Waschbecken im Raum und Dusche mit Glaswand. Da sollte man keine Geheimnisse haben :-)

It was good but the rooms were small and even though it was a twin room, there was no separate bathroom, shower cubicle was visible to the whole room so very little privacy. There were few facilities in the room eg tea and coffee and overall it felt more like an upmarket hostel than a hotel.

Unfortunatly we hadnt been told about a kitchen room where you could make tea/coffee etc. The sign on the first floor says living room a sign saying kitchen area would be better it was purely by chance that i looked in the room. But overall we had a very pleasant stay.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during our honeymoon in Portugal. I contacted the hotel upon booking to let them know it was our honeymoon and they upgraded our room without me asking. The hotel is centrally located, super clean and trendy. We loved our stay!

My room looked into a light well and the air conditioner had to run constantly. But that did mean it was quiet as there was no street noise. Staff were fantastic. Cant say I liked that part of Lisbon much though.

Great location in the city center that put me near everything. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. I was a solo traveler and got the smaller room. It was perfect for 1 but would have been way to tight for 2 people. Will definitely stay here again.

Leider war das Zimmer winzig. Es war nicht mal Platz für einen Kleiderkasten. Die Gastgärten und Fußgängerzone direkt vor dem Fenster war sehr laut, sodaß man das Fenster erst ab 2 Uhr früh öffnen konnte. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

The property is in an excellent location, its clean, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and the cell phone in your room is useful for foreign tourists. I would definitely stay here again if Im ever back in Lisbon.

The location was amazing, the staff were so friendly and shared so much information about Lisboa and other tours. The room was very clean. The lift works well, however it only operates from the first floor. The only draw back is that its almost a back packers hotel. There was no fridge in the room, however there was a common area with kitchen facilities and living room etc. I would definitely return and book a bigger room.

Extremely helpful staff that provided insightful recommendations. We were shown a short cut to get to St. Jorge. Instead of a grueling 22 minute walk which Google Maps suggested, we were there in under 10 mins. Overall, the lodge is centrally located with most things within a walking distance. We also went on a Sintra day tour through the lodge which was amazing. In terms of the actual suites, they were beautiful. Nice tall ceilings, beautiful washroom, and robes provided which gave it a spa like feeling. My only regret, is that I wish had more days in Lisbon to enjoy this accommodation. Thank you!

Although I couldn't keep my booking, I want to write a review to express my gratitude for the team at Esqina Urban Lodge. I booked one night in Lisbon in late July. Unfortunately, due to a personal medical emergency, I had to cancel my reservation the day I was supposed to stay there. It was a non-refundable purchase, but I explained my situation to the team and they provided me a full refund. This has been a difficult time for me, but the kindness and understanding from people and organizations like Esqina give me hope and help me stay positive. Based on my experience, I know this kindness and caring is reflected in their service to customers. Thank you so much.

Das Hotel liegt superzentral und alles ist ganz einfach fußläufig zu erreichen. Das Personal war freundlich und total hilfsbereit. Check-in, Check-out und Kofferaufbewahrung am Abreisetag verlief reibungslos.Das Zimmer ist modern eingerichtet, sauber und ordentlich. Es könnte für zwei Personen aber vielleicht etwas zu klein sein. Es gibt keinen Schrank, sondern nur ein Regal und Möglichkeiten Kleidung aufzuhängen. Das Bad ist quasi ein Teil des Raumes. Das Waschbecken ist schräg gegenüber vom Bett, die Toilette nur mit einer Schiebetür vom Rest des Zimmers getrennt und die Dusche mit Glastür ebenfalls in keinem extra Zimmer. Als Alleinreisender alles kein Problem, zu zweit könnte das bei längerem Aufenthalt vielleicht stören. Auf der ersten Etage gibt es einen kleinen Aufenthaltsraum mit Tischen, Fernseher, Wasserkocher und Frühstück. Ich habe ihn nicht genutzt. Da in dem Hotel kein Frühstück angeboten wird, hätte man hier aber die Möglichkeit sich selbst eine Kleinigkeit zu machen.

Buen hotel-boutique en todo el centro de Lisboa. Ideal para un fin de semana. Las habitaciones, pequeñas. Con un gran cama miy comoda, una puertecilla separa por un lado el wc y por otro la ducha, bastante grande. Un gran vetanal que mira a Rua do sapateiros, calle bulliciosa pero con la ventana cerrada no se escucha nada. No hay armarios, pero si un pequeño perchero con unas perchas. El desayuno mejor hacerlo fuera del hotel ya que hay un montón de cafeterias y bares al lado porque si lo pides en el hotel te dan una bosa, no tiene zona de restaurante. La recepcionista encantadora. Una buena opción para hospedarse en el centro de Lisboa.

The location and service are top notch. I'd give it 5 stars if it had the full ammenities larger hotels provide. The rooms are on the same small side and there is no fitness center. On the plus side, the rooms are beautiful, clean, and I love the art. As mentioned before the location is great, for me visiting on leisure, and the front desk staff have been great.

We loved our stay at the Urban lodge. It is a quirky, clean, modern and trendy hotel within walking distance to the Castle Jorge (It's a hike uphill if you are able) and minutes from the Santa Justa Elevator. It felt more like a 4star rented studio/ room in an old building than a full service 4 star hotel. The streets are noisy and bustling so bring a sound machine! Our room was small but the bed was a double and that was spacious enough. We did not spend time in the room, we were there to walk the streets in Lisbon. Beware there is no parking so you will pay plenty to park (65 euros for 1 day!) and have to walk your bags into the hotel. Gabby at the front desk was a doll to talk all things travel with. I'd stay there again. Obrigada!

Très bien comme établissement. Très bon accueil et rapport qualité prix. Avantage d'être situé dans le centre ville et proche du métro. Je le recommande dans hésité.

Hôtel très agréable et bien placé . Le personnel est à l’ecoute et de bon conseil.Le petit déjeuner ne présente aucun intérêt et l’on peut le prendre juste en dessous de l’hôtel dans une pâtisserie .Un peu de bruit le matin pour les chambres qui donnent sur la rue.

Das Hotel ist perfekt für einen Städtetrip. Nur 30 Sekunden entfernt gibt es eine Metrostation. Die Zimmer sind sehr hübsch eingerichtet und sauber. Das Personal ist wirklich sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich kann das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen!

Perfekt Room (Standard Room) for couples, singles and business trips. As the rooms are not too big, they are perfect for shorter stays. If you want to spend more than a week in Lisbon bigger rooms would be a bit more comfortable. But the rooms are very nice and clean, the location of the hotel is perfect. Only service missing is a mini fridge in the room and a laundry service. But to be honest, you dont really need it either.

Die Lage des Hotels war genial! Sehr zentral und die alte Stadt ist wirklich empfehlenswert! Das Hotel war sauber jedoch super klein aber für einen Städtetrip genügt es. Das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.Die Reception ist sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig aber muss ja nicht immer alles Luxuriös sein bei einem 4Sterne Hotel.

Hotel à la déco design et épurée. Avec beaucoup de charme et idéalement placé au centre de la zone historique, dans une petite rue sans trop de passage donc des nuits très calme.Le personnel est très agréableLe service est au top, le personnel est disponible pour nos questions, nous donnes des bon plan et cerises sur le gâteau, les téléphones mise à disposition dans les chambres que lon peux emporter avec nous durant la journée et nous permettant de joindre la réception en tout temps, de commander un taxi, de trouver des bonnes adresse de restaurant, de tours et surtout une application de map pour trouver nimporte quel adresse dans la ville et nous indiquant comment si rendre et bus, à pied etc....Très bon petit-déjeuner

Wir hatten ein Superior-Zimmer, in welchem wir mehr als genug Platz hatten. Alles im Zimmer und auch im gesamten Hotel war sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war wirklich sehr gut, mit einer grossen Auswahl und täglich frisch zubereitet. Wir erhielten sogar ein Smartphone, mit welchem wir unterwegs ständig mobile Daten zur Verfügung hatten, was bei der Orientierung in der Stadt sehr geholfen hat. Die Mitarbeiter waren immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem hatten wir einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in Lissabon!

We loved many things about this hotel. It was a great location. Near the downtown and metro. The room was a good size and the beds were very comfortable. We came back one day to a nice surprise of them leaving a pastry in the room on my birthday (it wasnt my birthday) with a very nice note. However, there were a few things we would suggest changing. The staff is not at the front desk 24hrs which is not normally an issue, however, you must order the free breakfast it via a phone app in the room. If you forget to order before the staff leaves for the night, you dont get breakfast in the morning. That being said, the breakfast was very good when we did get it. When we first arrived the music playing was very hardcore rap with extremely offensive language. While we dont mind profanity, there were other very offensive words. I am not sure if they were trying to be edgy or something but it was not appropriate. We didnt say anything but that was the only time we heard it.Lastly, there were two things that were frustrating about the room. The shower, like many in Europe, did not have a door but with the bathroom being so small it made the entire room wet. The sink had very nice, interesting exposed plumbing. However, the valves to turn on and off the faucet were extremely small making turning the water off fully difficult and a bit painful without using a towel to help with the last bit of leverage. Overall, we had a great stay but are recommending these changes.

Decorado con muy buen gusto, es un hotel nuevo y moderno situado en pleno centro de Lisboa. El personal es encantador y se preocupa por el cliente. El día de la salida tuvimos un problema con el traslado al aeropuerto y la chica de recepción nos ayudó y estuvo pendiente del problema hasta que se solucionó. Es un hotel a estrenar, se inauguró en agosto y la decoración es muy cuidada, muy moderna y con buen gusto.El desayuno es una bolsa para llevar muy práctica para hacer turismo o consumirla en el propio hotel.La situación es envidiable, con todos los lugares turísticos de Lisboa accesibles.El único inconveniente es que están construyendo una cafetería justo debajo y no es posible descansar hasta tarde entre semana hasta que terminen.Recomendadísimo.
