Value to money ratio is the worst I had in a long long time, that's also the reason I'm writing this review and investing my time in giving internet points to a restaurant. Staff at the moment we were inside the restaurant (06.07.2019 at around 7pm) wasn't behaving like you should behave towards any customers. To be honest, I felt like ordering at McDonalds, I get more empathy and will to bring a good mood to the "restaurant" there. Water in platic bottles, tapas (which to be fair are small portions) were good, but the problem is as I mentioned the value for price ratio. If you get some shrimps for 11€ or some pieces of meat for the same price of 11€, sorry, that is tapas size but crazy and simply outrageous prices. The meal itself was totally fine, so no offence to the cooking staff, which did a great job. Problem for me was the young waiter and obviously the management who makes prizes which are simply not adequate. Unfortunately I can't review any of the music that seems to be played there regularly, this seems nice and maybe they try to justify the horrendous prices with letting people play music there, which is stupid. All in all it is a hectic situation in there, seems like they want to process as many tourists as possible in the shortest possible time, so they can order a "mixed salad" for 5€ which consists of a little bit of lettuce, 1 tomatoe and vinegar. 1/10 would certainly not recommend. The 1 point is only for the kitchen crew because the main dishes (shrimps and beef) were tasting good.

Plain, honest small restaurant in the middle of Alfama with both male and female fado singers. The menu is simple but nicely flavored. Fado was great.

Sve Ett jättebra Fado ställe i en underbar miljö. En restaurang med trevlig, kunnig personal och mycket god mat där man kunde välja goda traditonella rätter som smakade fantastiskt. Otroligt bra Fado sång av Linda Leonardo och en mycket duktig yngre manlig förmåga. Vi köpte Lindas cd skiva ”Misterio de Fado” som vi spelat mycket. Hon var trevlig och ödmjuk och spred värme omkring sig. En oförglömlig kväll både för magen och själen. Eng A great Fado place in a wonderful setting. A restaurant with nice, knowledgeable staff and very good food where you can choose good traditonella dishes that tasted amazing. Incredibly good Fado song by Linda Leonardo and a very talented younger male ability. We bought Linda's CD "Misterio de Fado" which we played a lot. She was nice and humble and spread warmth around her. An unforgettable evening for both the stomach and the soul.

The restaurant looks great. And they have live music. But I would not eat the overpriced food again. And the waiters are really tired to be honest. It all feels like a big trap for tourists. But the location is good. Everything else is not.

Nettes Fado Restaurant. Sicher nicht das original vom original. Aber nur 15 Euro Mindestverzehr. Der Cod de bras und die Garnelen mit Knoblauch waren in Ordnung. Und schöne Musik.

El local es acogedor y las dos mujeres que han tocado Fado han sido muy buenas. Pero la comida pésima. Un cuenquito de arroz pasado con bacalao re mezclado (que decían en la carta a la brasa) 10 euros. Nosotros pensábamos que era una tapa pre cena.... y le preguntamos al camarero ( por cierto, para nada amable. Sin ni siquiera hacer el esfuerzo de entendernos) cuando iban a llegar nuestros platos . Si no se ha echado a reír, le ha faltado poco. Lamentándolo mucho, nosotros no volveríamos, ni lo recomendaríamos.

Berusende oplevelse. God mad. Tæt oplevelse med andre turister. Hyggelg snak ved bordet. Intenst sang. Og det bedste var guitarspilleren.

Très belle petite place et bien caché... Carte simple et raisonnable... très bonne salade de pieuvre... avons pus entendre 3 différentes performances lors d'une soirée fado... belle soirée très sympathique !!!

Comida ruim, apenas um atendente para todas as mesas. Se queres um verdadeiro fado, não vá ao fado maior.

Found this on the way back from the fado museum. Had the bacalau a bras and an octopus salad and both were really tasty. Had 3 rounds of bread which we were not charged for. The service was great and got seats within around 10 mins of waiting. The food came out really quickly. Prices were really reasonable. Had the fruit/chocolate cake for dessert and it had a nice light texture of sponge and was more chocolate than fruit but was still really good. Went on a Saturday night and the fado live music although our lyrics 2 or 3 songs per 15 mins was also really nice

I would not recommend this place at all. Servers including the owner have terrible attitude. It just seems that all they care about is money.
