Tiny portions. Compared to the UK, Indian restaurants seem to be at a much lower standard in Lisbon. Small portions, big expense, and medium quality.

Best service we've ever had, ever! Staff were wonderful. Food was absolutely incredible too. We had the vegan options and the flavours were amazing. Would recommend 100%.

Authentic and delicious indian food
The restaurant is located in the centre of the city. The food is authentic indian and is very delicious. I had opportunity to visit the place alongwith my wife in February 2020. The staff is very humble, friendly and welcoming. I had ordered lamb biryani, paneer and rice. The food has the right e balance of Indian spices. The place truly reflected the flavour of india . I instantly fell in love with the food specially the lamb biryani. The manager Mr Ramneek was very warm and a true gentleman. We had a wonderful time at the restaurant and we felt very much at ease.
The food standards and the hospitality is great. I definitely recommend this restaurant for someone looking for delicious and authentic indian food. It truly lives by Indian philosophy of 'atithi devo bhava '.

Loved this restaurant for many reasons: excellently prepared dishes , helpful and friendly staff, healthy food. We were in Lisbon for 13 days and this was our restaurant of choice for dinner. Ate here about four times and were never disappointed! I highly recommend.

Nice place and very nice service the waiters are very welcoming and treat you very well. How ever the quality of the food is very medium, the naan isn't puffy and don't have the smokiness of the charred bits, also the naan is very flat and didn't develop enough gluten. The paneer is one the worst i had i tasted many one in canada, france, usa, and this one had a not very pleasent after taste. The menu is far too long and make me wonder about the freshness of the ingredients, short menus means that food is fresh, they can not cook 40 differents main courses each day of labor . We where four and two of us are sick this morning mostly fluids from the back... My real rate is 2.5 because i don't think the ingredients are fresh, and very decieved from the naan, the food tastes weirdly okay even with theese cons.

Very nice Indian restaurant in center of Lisbon and close to tourist attraction Praca do comercio. Taste is truly authentic Indian , On request they can make extra spicy.
I had been there in last weekend with my wife and we were surprised by taste as in most of European cities it's very hard to get good Indian tasty food. Special Thanks to Ramnik Singh.

It was excellent. The vegan options were well explained. The food was amazing and the most important thing, the service was great. The waiters were super nice and attentive and very hospitable. This is one place I'll come back for sure if I ever come to Lisbon again.

Had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant in Lisbon. I was craving for the good old chole bhature but it wasn't on the menu. I just requested for it once and they were more than happy to make it especially for me. Hospitality for all staff especially Ramneek was amazing. Would go here whenever in Lisbon again.

Excellent authentic Indian cuisine! As someone from the Sri Lankan descent, I am not easily impressed but the food at this restaurant is simply superb. The price is reasonable too. The service was outstanding. The manager took time to come and talk to us at the end of our dinner to ensure that we were happy with the experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is in Lisbon and would like to try authentic, tasty food!

One of the best Indian restaurants in Europe I have ever been. I travelled with family from Paris to Lisbon this December and went for dinner to this wonderful restaurant. The service was very friendly and thanks to Ramneek. The food was excellent and had the same feeling like I was dining at India. The kids also enjoyed a lot. I recommend strongly this restaurant.

Have been to a lot of restaurants, Indian and otherwise, in terms of price Vs quality, hands down one of if not the best restaurant in Lisbon.
In terms of service, won't find this type of friendly staff, top notch quality almost nowhere else unless you go into one over the top pricey gourmet restaurant.
Food is delicious, spice taste like having been grounded a few minutes ago especially for your dish, you can not only taste but smell the delicious intricate mix on the food.
And you get all that, 5 star service, top notch quality food to rival a gourmet meal, without going bankrupt.
Would recommend to anyone who likes Indian and food in general.

We were in lisbon for a citytrip and this restaurant was across our hotel. Went here tot drink i dian chai. They have the best chai and gulan djamun. The waiters are really nice and freindly. We were greated warm hearted and i recommend this restaurant. If u want to eat indian food go here. They are the best.

We saw this restaurant walking around the city in search of vegetarian cuisine. Very nice staff, polite. Dishes for every taste, but the choice for vegetarians was especially pleased!!! We strongly recommend and we will definitely return.

Wow! Could not speak more highly of this gem in Lisbon. Very centrally located, this restaurant was the perfect place to have our Christmas Eve dinner. The food was top quality and the best and most authentic Indian cuisine I have had in a long time. We had the most friendly and exceptional service, all of the servers were kind and attentive. For our meal we ordered the murg tikka masala, Daal, garlic naan, rice, and raita as well as a bottle of wine and mango kulfi. The entire meal was so flavorful and delicious, and portions were good. The meal was so exceptional, we returned a week later on the final night of our trip for more! The prices are extremely reasonable for the great quality of food and service. Do not miss this fantastic restaurant in Lisbon!

I love this restaurant! The food is delicious and the staff are incredibly accommodating and kind. Each time I've eaten there, the wait staff were happy to chat about what I wanted and to make it happen. I recommend the veg thali set - so much deliciousness on one plate!

I went for dinner at this place with my husband and we both loved it. I have travelled across Europe but have never experienced such good food and hospitality. The manager was very kind, he warmly greeted us and gave us a nice table just opposite to TV. The food was just amazing, we ordered some naans, dal, raita and biryani which was proper dum biryani. Would highly recommend it.

Came back for dinner here after lunch yesterday and were equally impressed...they really do maintain their quality and standards. We had aalo tikki (potato patties) with 3 delicious sauces, roti (Indian bread) and panner (cottage cheese) butter masala. The cottage cheese was really soft, unlike few restaurants where they are chewy. We finished with homemade pistachio and almond kulfi, which had a unique texture with bits of nuts. Highly recommended this restaurant!

Excellent Indian cuisine. Curries are really tasty, smooth and delicate. Rice is fresh and soft. Surprisingly good samosa.
All staff is very attentive and kind.
If you want to have a taste of India in Lisbon I definitely recommend this restaurant.

We visited this lovely restaurant for lunch and must say the food is really delicious. We ordered veg kabab (green one) for starters and they came in beautifully set plate. The naans were cooked to perfection. We had it with paneer kofta and daal makhni (utterly butterly delicious, yum yum) and to finish it, we ordered hot gulab jamun topped with dessicated coconut. To be honest, this was the best gulab jamun we have had in Europe. The staff deserves a big round of applause for being very enthusiastic and attentive. This place also has a spice corner where you can buy whole spices and ready to cook powders. Overall we had a great dining experience!

One of the best Indian restaurants in the vicinity. Went there 4-5 times in my last 3 weeks of staying in Lisbon, did not feel like going any other restaurants. Staff members are very much cordial, prompt service, amazing food quality, soothing environment... Good job guys !

Restuarant is lovely and situated in the heart of Baixa Chaido. When around the area do give this place a visit. Food here is Indian Authentic and gives a feeling of home away from home.
One more point to note staff here are really friendly and very polite.

Such good food, such friendly staff and great location.I ordered jeera rice and channa masala. The food was delicious. They let you order spicy or mild, ofcourse I went for spicy and they did not disappoint me. The food was great!! But the very best thing for me was the chai (Indian tea), it was really tasty and tasted every bit like India. I have ordered chai in a lot of Indian restaurants across Europe but Swaagat served the best tea. Do not think twice. If you want Indian food (and tea) in Lisbon, this is where you go.
They have outside seating area, which is a delight.
PS: The staff is very amiable and welcoming

Der Service war super nett und zuvorkommend auf eine sehr respekt- und humorvolle Weise.
Man wurde in der Fußgängerzone nicht aufdringlich angesprochen, wie es sonst üblich ist.
Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und günstig.
Auch viele vegetarische Gerichte werden angeboten.

Me and my partner were craving Indian food and found this place in middle of downtown. Good prices, quality and really tasty! The service is really good aswel and the food came fast. We ordered 2 currys (butter chicken and chicken tikka masala), 2 plain rice and 2 naan breads and was more than enough! Finished all but we couldn’t even walk after but everything recommended, totally worthy to give a try.

I was in search for authentic Indian food during my 2 weeks backpacking in Europe and found Swaagat. The butter chicken melts in your mouth and the service is unmatched. Such welcoming and attentive staff. I wish I lived in Lisbon so I could come again!

The food was really amazing . We have ordered chicken sashik and goa prawn curry with some naan breads . It was perfect and fresh . Will visit again . Also the service was friendly.

Great Indian restaurant in the historic center of Lisbon. Excellent service and great dishes-particularly liked the chicken jalfreizi. . Best meal in Portugal so far!

I came here for vaccation. I visited lot of local restaurant there. But i like this one too much food was really awesome and service is also very nice.Hope i will come very soon again.

This place is great! The waiters are very friendly. The food was delicious. I had the lamb mushroom dish and a coconut Lassi.

I was yesterday in indian restaurant swaagat I got wounder full mix chat and tandoori lamb was excellent And butter naan was so soft and chutney was company to food was so good i good atmosphere light music totally was good suggest if you want to go to Indian restaurant in Lisbon you must try one

This is a relatively new Indian restaurant in Lisbon that aims to please. We've eaten Indian food all over the world and this is some of the best we've ever had. The Chicken Korma was fantastic and so was the Saag Paneer. The service was attentive, incredibly nice, and fast. They didn't have Onion Kulcha on the menu but when we asked for it, they made it specially for us. Just a great experience. And their Sangria was great too. Highly recommend everything about this restaurant.
