A família que gere este restaurante trata os seus clientes como família. Mesmo em tempos de crise (Covid-19) arranjaram maneira de conseguir chegar a nós.
A qualidade mantém-se excepcional, a preocupação com os seus clientes é ainda maior e quando estamos a comer, somos de novo transportados para o ambiente fantástico do restaurante.
Preço justo mas acessível.
O melhor indiano do país na minha opinião!
Voltarei sempre que possa e aconselho a todos que o façam também porque é uma experiência fantástica.

Restaurante fantástico, a minha preferência sempre! Já tinha muitas saudades, devido ao covid teve de fechar.
Reabriram agora com serviço take away e mais uma vez não desiludiram. Pedi hoje e fui buscar à pouco (no restaurante estão com todas as precauções necessárias).
Cheguei a casa e encontrei... o mesmo sabor delicioso de sempre, quantidade generosa, todos os mimos a que nos habituamos (todos os molhos deliciosos). Chegou a casa ainda quente e pronto a comer!
Recomendo sempre! E agora é uma óptima alternativa para quem quer um jantar fora da norma

One of the most authentic Indian restaurants. Food is amazing!! Classic Butter chicken which is very hard to find. Naan was very soft.

This place is simply extraordinary. Good price, and food is beyond belief. I say this as a New Yorker with LOTS of experience eating Indian food. We order three vegetarian plates, and they were all yummy. Highly recommended.

Boa comida indiana, na sua multiplicidade de sabores entre o doce e o picante. Chamuças deliciosas e apresentação excelente. O serviço é óptimo, mas parecem pouco propensos a fazer troco (talvez do hábito de pagar tudo com multibanco). Espaço muito agradável e bem decorado. Recomendo... mas paguem com multibanco!

Essen schmeckte gut, aber die Portionen waren sehr klein im Vergleich zu Inder in Deutschland, die Schälchen sind echt winzig. Würde deswegen kein weiteres Mal hingehen.

Authentic food. We had harabhara kabab in starters with mango lassi . In main course we had paneer tikka masala and naan. Loved the food. Very friendly staff.

Wow, we were in luck with Indian restaurants while in Lisbon, tried this one after reading the positive reviews and it was totally worth it.
This is a short walk from the central location, but not far. The ambience here is good with comfortable seats, service was good, quick and friendly.
In starters, we loved the Hara bhara kabab and the mango lassi, a must try if you are here. In the main course, we had Paneer tikka masala and naan, both were quite good, even though it was not really Tikka, but very tasty so no complaints!
Totally recommended from my side.

Les restaurants indiens sont des valeurs sûres. Ce restaurant en est une. Dans une petite ruelle les serveurs sont sympathiques souriants. Le repas est succulent. Le riz est à tomber. L'agneau byriani est délicieux et tendre. Nous avons pris un vin, top. Allez y les yeux fermés et dégustez.. Pour un prix plus que correct. A deux ça nous a coûter un peu moins de 35€,vin compris

Great authentic Indian food! This is my first time experiencing good Indian food out of India and New York.
Food was very delicious and service was great as well. Their ratings are well deserved!
My favorite was the Paneer tikka masala and the elaichi kulfi! Yummm!

The food here is unworldly good. If you want delicious Indian food, look no further, you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend the onion bhaji and the chicken jalfrezi. Unfortunately, the selection of beer and wine is uninspiring.

Authentic finger licking and zingy curry. Best I’ve had in Portugal!
The waiter spoke 5 languages which is fun when you’re eating with Portuguese Colombian and polish people.

My wife and I ate at the Indian gate today. What a decision it turned out to be!
We had two of the Chicken Samosas and two Vegetable ones. Along with Mango Chutney, Yogurt and Mint and the third was Coriander. They were absolutely divine! Full of flavour, tasted just so well indeed. The Mango Chutney was spicy too!
For the mains we had the Butter Chicken and Lamb Rogan Josh, along with Garlic Naan Bread. The Butter Chicken was the best I’ve had in a very long time! The chicken was absolutely tender, with the flavours that you expect. The Lamb Rogan Josh was so tender and also full of flavour!
The dishes came with rice that we ordered. The rice separated in a way that it was perfectly cooked.
The service was impeccable! Just a delight to be served by such people. Who clearly love their work.
The setting had a very good ambience, colourful and a delight to enjoy the surroundings whilst we ate.
Thank you so much Indian gate, for creating such an experience for us

It was heaven on earth. We had to order another two baskets of naan bread because it was SOO delicious! And the chicken tikka masala was some serious gourmet stuff, so sad that one’s stomach is so small

I don’t like this restaurant. I went there after having my lunch and I asked for tea. They said they won’t serve tea only althogh restaurant was closing in 30 minute and it was not full at all .

Authentic Indian cuisine, Personal service and delightful food.
The waiter was really nice and could speak and understand English well. They serve everything you would expect from the Indian kitchen, and they do it well.
Lamb with spinach, Chicken Tikka Masala and cheese naan were all amazing! Lamb was a little spicy, but so delicious.
Would definitely recommend!

Everyone’s got to ignore the “best Indian food in Europe” reviews. Food was just “ok”. Asked for their spiciest chicken dish, the Jalfrezi, and was given the saltiest. Not spicy at all. Restaurant smelled strongly of disinfectant. Seemed expensive for what it was, but I did order a lot of food. Picked it for the rave Google reviews and the proximity to my hotel.

Tienen muchas opciones, la bebida es asequible. No recomiendo coger las verduras con arroz al curry, no eran nada del otro mundo, el resto de cosas que pedimos nos gustaron más. Aceptan pago con tarjeta y en efectivo.

What a great diner, everything was amazing: the food delicious, the place very nice and the people so kind and helpful.

Very friendly staff and nice to talk with Hemant. Tried Lamb Biryani as I read earlier in the review section that it was not the best, I loved it and so did my daughter. Veggie food selection was also delicious.
Ended with a very generous portion of whisky on the rocks served with style.
Excellent ambiance and excellent experience.

This was the best Indian food I've ever had...this from the East Coast to the West, USA and London...so here I am in Portugal, and WOW.
Indian food I did in fact write home about!!!
What pushed things beyond expectations was the warm, genuine, over the top service from the wait staff to the jovial, appreciative owner. We we're so blown away.
Eat here now!!! Try it all! It will leave you wanting more!

India Gate Lisbon. Came halfway round the world to have great authentic Indian food. Very friendly polite service with good English skills. Prices match the great food, very large serves, you will be bursting. Cheap cold large beers to wash it down.

Service: a desaster
That was a complete flop. The restaurant was newly empty when we were told it's not possible if one of us only orders starters and dessert (I ordered a main dish). But instead we can have it as a takeaway. In other words it's better for us to leave instead of serving us.
We agreed and ordered a main dish, vegetable starters and beverages as a takeaway. The food was served fast, but the bill didn't list any drinks. Ok, not a pitty as I thought I can grab that anywhere nearby.
After leaving and opening the bag we found out that no cutlery was put in there. Well, had to eat that on the go, I thought.
The masterpiece was that the vegetarian starters (finger food) contained chicken. A very delicious experience for the vegetarian who ordered it when he had bitten into it...!
In the end it was not a total desaster because the main dish was actually tasty and I'm sure in a couple of weeks they will be a nice story to look back to.

Usually i dont leave negative reviews unless im very disappointed.... Food is not fresh (especially the mutton briyani) bad quality and dry meat..
I have had indian food all my life in Dubai, India, and everywhere else....you will get immediate acidity because of the bad quality...
Their customer service depends on their mood..the owner is pretty rude and doesnt know anything about customer service.
Hope you have a much better experience..

Great food, nice decor, very friendly staff. The only thing I wish is they had a good beer selection, salty lassi and Malai kofta. But that doesn't stop me from going there and recommend to you.

Excellent from every angle. As a north Indian, I was pleasantly surprised with the taste of a true North Indian cuisine, although I was vegetarian for the day. Highly recommended, happy and helpful staff, engaging owners, calm ambience and of course great food!

Zweimal besucht, beide Male sehr zufrieden gewesen. Klar, in Lissabon muss man nicht zum Inder, aber was bleibt einem übrig, wenn alle anderen Restaurants voll sind bzw. man keinen Platz ohne die obligate Vorausbuchung erhält. Umso besser, wenn es dann auch noch gut ist.

This feels a lot like a tourist trap. The food tastes good, but is very overpriced. A simple vegetable dish (smaller than my hand, see picture) cost 8.5€. Rice, naan, etc, all cost extra even when you order the "meal". I will not be returning.

- a ajusté la coté trop piquant d'un plat sans qu'on le demande
- a conseillé de prendre moins en quantité ce qui nous a permis de plus varier notre repas en prenant du coups des entrées typiques

Really excellent Indian food, and I don't say that lightly. The waiter advised me on some great dishes - Chicken Jalfreizi is one of my favourites, and I was not disappointed - warned me when I was about to order too much, and checked regularly and courteously (never intrusively) that everything was fine. I've eaten Indian food in many countries, and this is one of the best I have ever had. Good decoration, very clean, I liked the copper-coated dishes the food came in, and was happy to see Indians patronizing the restaurant, a very good sign. Highly recommended!

This is best place to have indian delicacies in all the places i have been in europe till now. We were on a one day trip to Lisbon and visited this restaurant twice.
Along with great taste and lot of options, check in the end will please you even more as its pretty cheap

Poulet Jalfrezy très épicé. Légumes et butter chicken très bons. La déco et le menu sont soignés. Il y a de l'attente entre la commande et le service. Et la serveuse débarrasse un peu trop vite ^^

Não conheço um restaurante indiano que goste mais. A decoração é étnica mas, agradável e moderna. As entradas são muito boas, tal como todos os pratos que já experimentei. Se quiserem algo que não está no menu, perguntem, podem ter uma boa surpresa. Vinho a copo, batidos de manga e cerveja indiana são excelentes opções para a bebida.

Really good. I eat curries regularly. It's much better than my regular haunts. The server thought about what we ordered and made recommendations which I think turned out to be right. Clean toilets too and good service.

Went to India Gate tonight with two young children. Staff were very helpful and accommodated us with no booking. It was recommended by the owner of another well reviewed restaurant and we were not disappointed. Food was wonderful and all the family enjoyed it thoroughly. If you like Imdian food you'll love India Gate! Highly recommended.

Great food and extremely friendly staff, that are happy to talk about the food and how they make it. Absolutely recommended when in Lisbon and looking for something different in terms of food. You'll find things you won't find at most places, e.g.the layered coconut cake ;)

The location was ok and so was the ambiance. The food was not that great as expected after reading the reviews. On reading their website I reserved a table online but it was not worth the struggle . The place was empty. The food was average not spicy as I asked for.

Já não é o Restaurante Paris. Agora é o India Gate. Bom espaço, tranquilo e boa comida a preços honestos e tem um sobremesa fabulosa a bebinka (não sei se é assim que se escreve). O serviço é bom com atendimento educado e simpático.
