Wonderful little gem hidden away in a back street close to the centre of Lisbon. Food is authentically Goan and met with the approval of my Goan partner too. Staff really friendly and helpful. Really cosy and excellent value for money. Full marks!

Being from Goa I know what Goan food is all about, I had ordered prawns samosa and prawns curry with rice. The samosa was just awesome but the curry was alright. But yes they have tried to match to the Goan taste which they managed to achieve partly. Overall quite decent taste but nothing mind boggling.

If you're up for spicy food, don't get too discouraged by the shady narrow alley where this charming little restaurant is located. Food is great and service courteous and fast. The curry and bryani dishes are awesome, and prices ok.

Quite simply the best meal I had in Lisbon. The fish curry was absolutely delicious and satisfying. The wine paired well. Service was efficient for how busy it was. Highly recommend you check this place out if you're new to Goa cuisine or have a craving.

A relação qualidade preço é equilibrada.

My first time had dinner in Indian restaurant, Lisbon. The place is a little bit hidden from the main city of Martin Moniz, Lisbon. The foods were very good. I love so much samosa shrimp, traditional dessert & homemade manggoe ice cream . The staff was polite.

Tucked Away in a little Alley way. Food and service was good though bit pricey for what it is. Euro 15 for 4 prawns and Euro 2:20 for a chapati seemed expensive. Not Goan food as it was claimed.

This place is amazing....some of the best Indian food I have had outside of India. It is small and up a quiet alley, but the spices are flavorful and the staff is friendly. I would highly recommend it to people who are looking to go beyond butter chicken.

The Goan bread was a tortilla/naan hybrid that was a great vessel to try their pickled veggies/spreads (coriander was awesome, mango was light spicy and great, lemon was crazy bitter, eggplant-aubergine was pretty spicy). The Goan chicken curry was tender and tasty over warm basmati rice. Service was quick, attentive, and polite as they also explained these dishes to us in more than passable English. They were very kind to two young-ish Americans that needed a break from Portuguese food for a night. I’d go back and probably will, since it’s two buildings from our Airbnb.

It's a lot of indian (non Goan) food (biryanis and vegetable dishes and more), but there are plent y of Goan dishes - almost all the fish dishes are authentically Goan. The music was some sort of indian house music - annoyingly repetitive to my ear. It is a small place, not fancy, but very comfortable and the food is decent. We had the ambotik. The flavor of the dish was ok, but it was made with dogfish (which I had never had). Dogfish is described elsewhere as 'plentiful and sometimes used for food' - and I can see why. It is mostly bones and what isn't bone isn't very nice. The balchao tasted spicy but not like other balchao I've had. Maybe that's just me. Either way - neither dish was anything to write home about. The bajias were great and the service was prompt. But don't form your opinion of Goan food from here - it can be much much better than this.

Best Goan restaurant in Lisbon. Not everybody gets authentic food right. But Tentações De Goa was impressive because everything we ordered tasted exactly like what it's supposed to. The Goan sausages and chicken xacuti was really delicious and so was the prawn curry with okra. Highly recommended if your looking an authentic goan restaurant!!!

Amazing food - service and vibe - To have such amazing Goan food in Portugal is truly an experience - Chicken Xacuti was the highlight along with Goan fish curry - Chapati is super good and have it with one of the white wines - Hard to find but worth the adventure - Highly recommended -

Very tasty Goan food! We took the waiter's recommendations and it all was fantastic. The portions are generous too. It's a bit small, so the tables are a bit on top of each other, but otherwise great restaurant!

This was the best food we ever had! I had fish curry and boyfriend had lamb xacuti, and it was wonderful! The staff was nice, only problem is, we would have never found this amazing place without previous research. Still, best food ever, and will probably plan our next trip to Lisbon around this restaurant.

Really authentic Goan food! They even have Feni! Please try all dishes... Very friendly owners. Don't worry that it's not on the Main Street, that adds to the charm. Check for open hours before you go, it would be worth it!

Food was okay, service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed. I was unpleasantly surprised to be charged for the chapatti, as I mistakenly presumed something would be included with the €14 curry!! I think the chapatti was something like €4.40 for 2 small pieces!!! That's the price of a dish in many 'other' places. This was not highlighted or explained.

Small restaurant 150 meters from Hotel Mondial (Plaza Martim Moniz). Portuguese food from Goa (West India). Wonderful curries (fish especially) and other Goa culinary delights prepared by Maria. Small & intimate, excellent service, very reasonable prices (around 10-12 euros main dishes). Wines also priced very reasonably. A delightful find. Peter & Victoria

It is a very good restaurant which has Goan food at the best authentication.Goan food is different from Indian cuisine . It a Goan born man who runs it with his Portuguese wife and gil is wrong with his review partially
06/14/2013
Cláudio Gil

Not the typical Indian restaurant in Martim Moniz. It is run by Portuguese that have been in India and present Indian dishes that show Portuguese influences. You can also get all the really-Indian delicacies too so all is well for all tastes.
