Freundlicher Gastgeber , super Standort , sehr schöne Zimmer , waren sehr zufrieden , das Guesthouse ist eine Hommage an den Schrifsteller und Dichter Fernando Pessoa , der einst eine Zeitlang in dem Haus gelebt hat .. sehr interessant und schön eingerichtet , und sehr zu empfehlen .

Uitstekende locatie om Lissabon te verkennen. Henrique is een echte vriendelijke gastheer. Dichtbij ov, winkels en eten. Veel aandacht voor de inrichting van toen Pessoa hier leefde. Kamers zijn comfortabel en leuk design en schoon. Beetje herrie van het verkeer dat af en toe door de straat rijdt. Ontbijten kan bij een goeie bakker op 10 meter.

A wonderful quirky place...loved it !And in the middle of all the action......fab restaurants etc...We took the Superior room with the en-suite, and to be honest we looked at the shared WC facilities and they looked very acceptable to.Very recommended.

Would highly recommend staying here. Excellent room with a balcony overlooking the square where music plays almost every evening (we stayed in the ensuite room). Such a great atmosphere and the room was decorated and maintained to a high standard. Service was great and host very friendly and welcoming. In a great location close to bars, restaurants, shops and attractions. Breakfast in a bakery a few doors up the road was delicious. Would definitely recommend if you want to stay somewhere with character, in the heart of the city.

Excellent, friendly, safe, Awesome!! Private rooms and 3 shared restrooms in hallway. Kitchen with tv, fridge, coffee, tv, tables, etc. Great staff meet us early in morning to hold our bags. Beautiful decor spacious rooms. Only negative thing is loud party people walking around at night because of great location.

The Pessoa is a unique hotel in the middle of Lisbon. The location is amazing - walkable to any central location. I loved the modern and chique interior design and the historical connection to the Lisbon based author. The manager kindly stayed up until 1AM to meet me after a delayed flight. The room was very comfortable. The shared bathroom was clean and there were no issues at all in terms of overlapping with the other guests.

Clean and nicely decorated. The showers can't withstand much capacity - but this isn't much of a problem with enough patience. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this place

Good central location if you don’t mind a little noise in the evenings as it’s located in the older part of San Sebastián Our room had a small balcony that opened onto a busy area but once closed the noise wasn’t too bad. Quirky little place, guesthouse where back in 1908 Pessoa actually lived there. Different decorations for any other place I've stayed. Cool.

Fabulous place - quirky but really interesting and location couldnt me cuter or more Lisbon! It is only a b&b so no 24 hour access although whenever we needed something Henrike was always right there and the breakfast cafe next door = really good!

Wir waren in der Gruppe (15 Leute) unterwegs, sodass die Gemeinschaftsbäder kein Problem darstellten. Die Zimmer außergewöhnlich und individuell eingerichtet, die Küche zum gemütlichen Beisammensein.

Hôtel très bien décoré, le seul reproche est le bruit de la rue et labsence de WC dans la chambre. Lhôtel est très bien situé.

El hotel está buen situado para visitar Lisboa a pie. Más complicado es aparcar cerca, pero que puedes esperar estando en el centro de Lisboa. La habitación que nos tocó tenia baño incorporado (la única del hotel), es pintoresca y limpia, pero por contra la cama cruje cada vez que te mueves, las contra de la ventana no cierran del todo y el patio de ducha ni traga el agua con facilidad ( como te ducha más de 10 minutos inunda la habitación).Henrique, el propietario, es agradable y nos dio un par de indicaciones muy buenas.Ah! Según cogimos llaga habitación en Expedia, tenia el desayuno incluido, pero el hotel no dispone de cafetería y nadie mis indicó que tuviéramos el desayuno. Me parece caro.

Waited a bit for someone to open the door for us, were told by the next door shop that the main entrance is on the other side and we went around. Finally we were able to get in when we went back on the side street.

Very attentive staff, passionate about historical place, great location. Except for the condition of having to share the restroom, our room was very comfortable, as well as the whole place.

The Pessoa is a charming guesthouse in central Lisbon. The history of the house is interesting, the decor is wacky and the location is superb. The staff were friendly and responsive.

We got here from United States and the first night we were told they had overbooked so they sent us to a different Hotel. That is not where all the trouble started, when we checked into our so-called guest room the next day, we realized and we felt as if we had checked into a 7-Eleven style restroom and sink. We had a problem with the shower drainage so we had to open the water halfway. It was hot in the room and theres no AC system in this place and the only option you have is a ceiling fan. Rooms are next to a major street so leaving the windows open was not an option.

I spent three nights at Pessoa Guest House in Lisbon, Portugal. I had never stayed in a guest house before and was a bit wary of having to share a bathroom with other guests. The proprietor, Henrique, communicated with me by email before my stay (to answer my questions) and greeted me the night I arrived. This place is great! My room was huge and beautifully decorated and every day it was cleaned and tidied ... as good or better than any hotel would do. You get a breakfast voucher (for a lovely place on the same street) and are offered a shot glass of Madeira wine when you pass thru the reception area. There is street noise at night but Henrique provides ear plugs to attenuate those sounds. Another huge benefit of staying at the Pessoa is the Chiado neighborhood. There are some great restaurants and bars within a ten minute walk (some within a two minute walk). As for the shower and toilet rooms, both were in excellent working order and clean. In summary, for a unique, artistically themed (with the famous Fernando Pessoa in mind) and very reasonably priced lodging experience, definitely try the Pessoa Guest House!

Um espaço maravilhoso para se estar, quer seja para passar férias ou para trabalhar. Adorei ser recebida com um bom vinho do Porto e um grande sorriso por parte dos proprietários que me fizeram sentir a vontade, se disponibilizaram para ajudar no que fosse preciso e que ainda me explicaram um pouco sobre a história e vida do grande Pessoa. Limpo, sossegado e perto de bons restaurantes e bares. Sem dúvida, uma experiência a repetir.

There are hotels, airbnbs and then there are extraordinary places to stay. This place is the latter and so much more that we will always hold dear and never forget. This was a guest house in the 1800's which was home to iconic Portuguese writer Fernando Pessoa and his family members. You can feel the historical vibrations form the moment you walk in the door and every detail is meticulously curated and perfectly decorated. Staying in the Pessoa was tremendously inspiring and an ongoing experience which brought us closer to the essence of Lisbon through Pessoa. We were greeted by the distinguished host Henrique who kindly guided us to some true gems of Lisbon and whom we grew quite fond of. We ended up extending our trip we were so pleased with our stay. As well as being a top notch operation...LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. The guest house is in the perfect place in chic Chiado on the edge of Largo de Carmo across from the convent ruins and museum. You are steps away from Bairro Alto, Almacenes de Chiado and so many other lovely squares, cafes, restaurants and landmarks. We cannot wait to return to the Pessoa and are so grateful that we found such an authentic and perfect place to be.

Toplage, von der aus man viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichen kann. Bett war sehr bequem und in meinem Zimmer von der Straße relativ wenig Lärm, obwohl sich in der Nähe Lokale befinden. Personal sehr hilfsbereit. Frühstück in der danebengelegen Bäckerei war köstlich.

Péssima recepção por parte dos proprietários do hostel The Pessoa. Tudo pode ser perfeito, até sermos recebidos pelo exm sr. Henrique (proprietário deste estabelecimento). Podia fazer mil e uma críticas há abordagem deste senhor. Mas deixo a minha avaliação, e apelo encarecidamente, a quem leia este comentário, que não queiram ter uma estadia neste espaço. Pois seria desagradável para quem queira vir descansar, ou até trabalhar, e ser tratado de uma forma leviana e sem educação alguma. Será bom dizer... Pessoa era um homem romântico, não um poço de "crueldade".

Très bien accueillies. la situation est idéale car à mi chemin entre le barrio alto / chiado et le centre en bas, la place Largo do Chiado offre plein de possibilités pour boire un verre ou diner sans avoir à remarcher.Déco aussi sympa que sur les photos.Douches et wc communs très fonctionnels et confortables (peignoirs et chaussons dans les chambres)Le petit déj pris dans le boulangerie / salon de thé située à 20 m est très copieux et délicieuxattention : les lits individuels sont de 80 cm de large et non 90 comme habituellement en France.Un bémol majeur : les vitrages ne sont pas doublés, il y a un peu de circulation (+ rue en pente) => on a limpression dêtre sur la rue, impossible de dormir sans boules Quiès et encore !je précise que nous avions la dernière chambre (double) qui a 3 fenêtres sur langle, au lieu de 1 fenêtre pour les autres chambres
