Op aanraden van onze Airbnb contactpersoon. Niet de moeite waard. Ten eerste werd ons het duurste gerecht op de kaart aanbevolen, dat bleek toen wij vroegen welk gerecht op de kaart dit was. Wij hebben gekozen voor de sardines en de steak. Beiden niet echt lekker. Heb veel beter gegeten in Lissabon, bijvoorbeeld bij Beco do Forno.
Wij zijn bekend met het fenomeen van brood en olijven op tafel die later wel afgerekend moeten worden. Dus eerst gecheckt. Brood €0,80 boter €1,- en olijven €2,- maakt samen €3,80. Dat is prima toch? Paar halve sneetjes brood, 2 kuipjes boter en klein bakje olijven blijken later op de rekening €3,20 brood, €2,- boter en €2,- olijven, maakt samen €7,20. Tel daarbij een extra eurootje voor de sardines, want die zijn tijdens het eten verhoogd van €11,50 naar €12,50 en je blijft toch zitten met een naar gevoel.

One of the best authentic restaurant where you are welcomed with warm heart by wonderful people ! The dinner was delicious, and the desert from the house makes you just happy :)

Simple but amazing food. I asked owner how they do it: 37 years of keeping our doors open and buying the fish in the market ourselves. He was a technical guy. But there was a lot of love and passion behind it too.

Excelente custo x benefício. Menu de almoço por 10 euros inclui uma boa variedade de pratos principais, sobremesas e bebidas (taça de vinho, cerveja, lata de refrigerante). Ainda inclui sopa, pão e azeitonas. Com cafezinho ao final. A comida não é nada do outro mundo mas é saborosa.

Dorade für 22€ auf Empfehlung des Hauses gegessen, war aber nicht besonders lecker. Der Tintenfisch meiner Begleitung ebenfalls nicht. Salat und Beilagen (Kartoffeln/Gemüse) war auch nichts Besonderes. Vorsicht: Man bekommt am Anfang Brot und Käse hingestellt, wofür 5€ berechnet werden. Karte ist unübersichtlich, sodass man sich beraten lassen muss. Service sehr nett und bemüht, aber insgesamt kann man in Lissabon sicherlich besser Fisch essen.

I really don't know how this place got its stars. First they tried to make us order very expensive dishes by not mentioning the price. Second we waited for 40 min. Third the food was not enough and not tasty at all. Fourth they made fun of a vegetarian friend. That's a tourist trap.

Pedimos bacalhau à brás y pulpo. La comida estaba buenísima, las raciones fueron generosas y la relación calidad-precio excelente. El trato inmejorable por todo el servicio. Se notaba que era un negocio familiar y que le ponían mimo a lo que hacían. La única pega: descubrirlo la última noche. Muy recomendable!

Beef tasted like a shoe sole, salad was boring and french fries were not crispy. The staff seemed nice though, dessert and soup were alright.

Un lieu qui mérite d'être connu par tous les touristes qui viennent à lisbonne.
Un peu écarté de la foule et des attrapes touristes du chiado et biarro alto.
La cuisine est copieuse et bien préparée. Les poissons au grill sont excellents !!!

If you are looking for a cheap place to have a meal this is a very good option. You'll find a variety of local plates.
We were served by the owner, a very nice and friendly man.
We ate soup, chicken, fish and a delicious dessert.

This was our last evening dinner in Lisbon and it was possibly the best. Very nice staff in a typical Portuguese restaurant. The Octopus was just a few Euro's more expensive than in other restaurants so we ordered it to find out what could justify the difference. We were NOT disappointed. It was the best and best presented Octopus we had whilst in Portugal.

Un acierto. Toda la comida casera, muy rica, calidad precio totalmente recomendable. Daba la sensación de que pidieras lo que pidieras, aquello iba a salir bien, como así fue. Muy buen trato. Repetiremos sin dudarlo cuando volvamos a Lisboa.

Excelente atencion y calidad en sus comidas. No te lo podes perder si estás de paso por Lisboa. Recomiendo el pulpo, el rebozado de bacalao (migas de bacalao, huevo, cebolla) ambos sin TACC.

Very authentic and traditional restaurant. The waiter was very helpful in every possible way. The octopus was decent (not the best in my life but still very good), and in combination with a delightful glass of wine it made up for a very good seafood dinner.

Last night in Lisbon , so glad we chose this restaurant . Two brothers (great guys) helped with our choices - fabulous fish dishes and the wonderful dessert 'sweet cake ' with muscatel wine

Octopus was quite good. Codcakes and dorade fish were not very impressive. Heavily inflated prices for couverts. seems as if the location poisoned the way they want to do business. Would not recommend. Ps: they don't have caracoles

Oh que c’était bon! Cuisine portugaise authentique et familiale. Le personnel est franchement adorable. Nous y avons été très bien accueillis, surtout nos enfants! La plus belle expérience de restaurant que nous avons connu à Lisbonne. Et leurs pasteis sont les meilleurs!

Un incontournable lorsque vous êtes de passage à Lisbonne. Cuisine familiale sans prétention mais tellement goûteuse. C’est une histoire de famille et leur passion se ressent jusque dans l’assiette. Les enfants sont des trésors au Portugal et dans ce type de restaurant cette expression prend tout son sens car nos filles ont été traitées comme des reines!

One of the best native Portuguese restaurants in Bairro Alto. It's where the native portuguese people go. The family is splendid and warm. The food is fantastic. Makes one feel at home.

Muy buen precio para el menú. El menú es abundante y la comida es sabrosa. Comimos hígado marinado y cerdo, con una salsa que no recuerdo de que era pero era rica. Muchas papas fritas. El servicio nos gustó también, y el lugar. Comimos en la calle, es una calle pintoresca y tranquila. Muy lindo todo!

Only stopped by here as it was one of the few places open at 1600hr. Service did not pay attention even though it wasn't busy. Bread was not fresh and was very hard.. shrimp was so small.. good garlic taste though. Not worth the money.
