정말 정말 너무 너무 아늑하고 조촐하게 fado를 즐기기 좋은 공간이에요! 저녁 먹고 술만 마시며 fado를 보고싶다면 무조건 여기로! 시끌벅적한 분위기도 아닌것이 그렇다고 너무 관광용인 것 같지도 않은 것이 현지의 느낌 + 아늑함 + 사랑스러움 + 가족같은 정이 넘치는 완벽한 곳❤️입니다 강력 추천합니다❤️❤️❤️ 다른데는 기본 차지가 있는데 여긴 그게 없고 의무로 얼마이상 시켜야된다는 부담이 없으니 좋아요. 술 값은 포트와인 한 잔에 4유로인데 공연 무료로 보면서 이정도는 당연한 거라고 생각해요!!! (포트와인도 너무 맛있어서 비싼데도 4잔이나 마셔버렸네요 ㅋㅋㅋ)

Wir haben am 24.4. einen absolut fantastischen Abend mit sehr leckerem Essen und sehr berührendendem FADO erlebt. An unserem Abend haben mindestens 6 verschiedene Sänger und eine Sängerin gesungen. Auch die beiden Gitarristen haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir fanden den Preis, für diesen Abend mit allem was dabei war, sehr angemessen. Falls wir wieder kommen, werden wir wieder zu Jaime und seiner Frau gehen! Ihre Herzlichkeit und ihre Gastfreundschaft haben mich sehr berührt. Auch wenn ich kaum ein Wort portugiesisch sprechen kann haben wir uns an diesem Abend total zuhause gefühlt. Danke euch als ganze Familie!

Taberna familiar donde hasta el dueño canta, además de otros que van llegando de poco a poco a cantar, y el hijo y el nieto tocan la guitarra y la bandurria respectivamente. Nos han atendido genial, con mucho cariño y muy amablemente. La comida también ha estado muy bien, el bacalao genial. Entramos de casualidad y nos ha gustado mucho, muy recomendable.

Fantastic food, very friendly owners and the Fado music was wonderful. Great place to visit. For vegetarian people there is actually no choice for main dishes. If you like fish I would recommend the cod pastries, delicious!

Tasca típica con carta con pocos platos de cocina portuguesa. Música en directo de fados con la luz apagada y comes sin ver la comida. Como cantan tienes que consumir un plato por persona. Buena música si te gustan los fados.

Very authentic, lovely venue and soulful traditional music. Cannot recommend it enough. And the staff are amazingly genuine and welcoming. They can even make a vegetarian dish if you ask. Go here for the music and experience.

We had a very nice meal here on our first evening in Lisbon. The octopus was very nice and the fado music too. It's a very small cozy place that will pack up quickly yet in January, without heating, the doors are left open to invite people in as there are no windows which means you'll need to keep your coats on. Cash only though.

La comida, muy rica; la música, genuina. La tasca contrasta con otras propuestas de la zona, ruidosas y elaboradas para el turismo, con escaso respeto. Aquí no te apuran, no te echan para que entre otra tanda de comensales. Atendida por sus dueños, pequeña, acogedora, los fadistas, con distintos estilos y calidades, se suceden durante casi cuatro horas, con pequeños intervalos. Nos fuimos al cierre mientras seguían tocando casi informalmente, a dúo o a coro. Muy recomendable.

Very rude and aggressive treatment. The fado is nice, but I would avoid this place. We ordered wine and a starter (cod fish rolls that were more mashed potatoes than fish). Entering the place nobody ever told us that ordering a full dinner was obligatory. My wife got tricked into ordering two full dinners that we did not want (since we had already eaten). When we complained the female owner was very rude, and constantly referred to my wife as "the girl" (in Portuguese - a sign of disrespect). We ended up paying but will not come back. The fado was nice, but we felt cheated and abused. There are better and more honest places in Alfama, both for food and service.

Tasca auténtica del barrio de la Alfama para escuchar fados en un ambiente muy acogedor y cordial. Los dueños lo viven de pleno, se nota que les gusta la música. Comimos bien , sobretodo el pescado.

Voor een fado beleving moet je naar deze tent. Er wordt gerommeld in de stroomkast, de lampen gaan uit en de eigenaar of zijn zoon openen hun strot. Daarna gaan de lampen weer aan en kun je eten. Qua eten en keuze is vrij standaard, maar lekker.

Cute small Fado restaurant. Excellent food and very nice music. Beware: if you are new to the fado scene, you are not allowed to talk during the performances, so choose tour crowd/occassion accordingly.

The music is good BUT the food is too expensive for the quality: we ate an awful octupus almost without octopus. The owner crams the people and finally you can't even see the singers. My advise is to go there after dinner just to drink something.

Although the service was propmt, it lacked patience and manners. Food and wine were rather poor and the menu did not have a single vegetarian option. The salad I asked to have cost 12 euros and a simple fried egg 3.50. Overpriced! Its only redeemable quality was the lovely fado sang live, even if you had the fadistas approaching you later on to buy their CD's. Wont be going back.

Horrible! Para no volver nunca. Nada más entrar te ponen unas aceitunas con un paté, si no estás rápido, te lo cobran a 8 euros. Muy poca variedad de platos. Te obligan a pedir comida para escuchar fado. La comida de baja calidad y muy cara para lo que es. La bebida suuuuper cara. Pedí una cerveza grande (caneja) que costaba 5 euros y me pusieron una jarrita de 33cl. Le pedimos un vaso de agua después de la cena y nos lo niegan, nos dicen que no ponen agua, que sólo botellas pequeñas previo pago de 2.5 euros. El trato super desagradable, todo el rato burlándose y haciendonos gestos para que consumiéramos más. El local super sucio, había una cucaracha enorme que le cayó a una amiga encima y ni le pidieron perdón, encima le regañaron porque se asustó. Huid de ahí!

No nos gustó. De los 3 cantantes de Fado sólo nos gustó 1 de ellos, los otros dos desafinaban. Pagamos 20 euros por cabeza y nos dejamos la mitad en los platos, lamentamos haber elegido ese sitio que a priori nos pareció acogedor y muy típico, pero nos resultó algo agobiante.

Je recommande vivement d'aller y faire un tour le soir vers 22h30, pour boire une ginja en profitant de l'ambiance fado particulièrement sympathique (écoute silencieuse obligatoire ).

This place was recommended to me by my Hotel. It is a very small and cosy place, perhaps not the very cheapest but prices are okay. Wine and food were excellent. I do not understand, why some people complain about the staff not speaking English. One can see photos of the dishes, so there can be no misunderstanding.

Unfortunately, this was not a good experience overall. The music was wonderful and the fact the owner also sings was charming, but that’s where the good feedback ends. The plate of bread, olives and tuna is brought to the table without asking and is then charged. The main meals (steak and grilled fish) were not very good and we both left most of it uneaten. When we went to pay, we were rudely advised the venue doesn’t accept cards, and had to leave one person behind while the other went to draw cash. As in most cases, it’s less about the issue at hand, but how it’s dealt with and the waitress was borderline aggressive about it all. Wouldn’t recommend, plenty of other venues nearby to choose from.

Bread and olives on the table are not complementary! Expect to pay at least 7 euro for them even thought you didn't order them. Food is below average and not good value. Didn't even finish mine as it was very salty and honestly not worth eating. They don't accept any card, but there's no information about that anywhere and the rude waitress don't tell you beforehand. So you'll have to go find an atm afterwards and come back to pay, and they will force you to leave a persom behind as collateral, and very rude about it. Politely suggested that it would be a good idea to maybe tell people before they order that they don't accept card, and the response was very rude. Will never come back and suggest finding another place, lots or other better options.

This place does have english menu, but waiters hardly speak ANY english. To stay here in the evening and listen to fado (performed by the owner) - you should obligatory order some main dish (meat/fish). So in you’re looking for a light dinner with or without fado- just walk by.

I had my plate grabbed from my nose as the waitress was forcing me to order more food. Very rude lady. You are literally forced to order food and you are given a plate of olives you need to pay 10 euros eor at the start. Avoid!!!

Le rapport qualité/prix n’est pas la hauteur. La planche de tapas est à 16e pour quelques bouts de fromage qui se battent en duel sur une planche en bois. L’établissement ne prend pas la carte bleue. Cela nous pousse à retirer de l’argent, ce qui n’est pas gratuit lorsque nous ne sommes pas portugais. A éviter

1 ) À deux doigts nous faire chasser du restaurant car l'une des nos sept commandes ne semblait pas assez chère pour justifier que l'on occupe une chaise ( la commande en question : tapas à 16€ ) 2) Un tapas ? Que dis-je ! Une quelconque planche de bois, quelques copeaux de fromages et trois tranches mal découpées d'un jambon cru sans plus 3) Une patronne peu aimable, à l'origine d'une atmosphère stressante : épiements etc. 4) Prix élevés et absence de machine à carte bancaire ( information que le patron ne révèle qu'au moment de payer ) 5) De bons musiciens qu'il serait agréable de pouvoir applaudir sans s'en sentir forcé Un mot : PASSEZ VOTRE CHEMIN, le quartier d'Alfama regorge d'autres restaurants à Fado

Une carte mensongère, pas de bouteilles d’eau de plus de 50cl, impossible de commander ce que l’on souhaite (la gérante nous force la main pour prendre un plat du jour, en plus de nous forcer à applaudir les musiciens). Le summum : ne prennent pas la carte bleue. Soirée malheureusement gâché et extrêmement frustrante. Malgré tout, les musiciens sont bons et le cadre accueillant.

La carte est une blague. Les tapas à 16€ est une farce je peux littéralement compter les morceaux de jambon sec et fromage sur les doigts de mes deux mains. Cadre sympa toute fois, mais la gérante est oppressante et force à la consommation.

Fatal, una experiencia muy desagradable. Fuimos mi pareja y yo por recomendación de una guía con la que habíamos hecho un tour por la mañana. El sitio es diminuto, por lo que hay varias mesas pegadas y van sentando a la gente conforme llegan. La dueña se mostró bastante desagradable explicándonos que teníamos que pedir, obligatoriamente, un plato para cada uno ya que íbamos a escuchar los fados, así que así lo hicimos, a pesar de que era temprano y no teníamos nada de hambre. Mi pareja estaba sentada enfrente de mí, pegadísimo al chico que tocaba la guitarra, por lo que se cambió y se puso a mi lado, con la mala suerte de que volcó mi cerveza -nos la acababan de traer-. La dueña vino a la mesa a echarnos la bronca -encima- y a decirnos que se volviera a poner donde estaba, porque si venía más gente se tenía que sentar ahí -no vino nadie más durante el rato que estuvimos allí-. No se dignó ni a traernos una servilleta ni una bayeta para limpiar toda la cerveza derramada por la mesa y la silla -mi novio se mojó entero al sentarse de nuevo-, ni mucho menos, a traernos otra cerveza, ya que ni la habíamos probado. Gastamos un paquete de pañuelos secando todo y estábamos bastante apurados, pues seguían con los fados mientras tanto. Ni ella ni el señor fueron capaces de acercarse a ayudarnos, lo cual me parece vergonzoso y, sobre todo, la mala educación de ella. Por último, la comida dejaba bastante que desear; tanto, que yo vomité por la noche lo poco que comí. Y el lugar da sensación de poca limpieza. Nada recomendable.

Muy buen sitio para disfrutar de Fado en un ambiente íntimo. Los precios son algo elevados, la carta no es amplia, pero está bien. Las actuaciones de fado, cada tres canciones hacen un descanso de unos 15 min.

Wandered in trying to find any restaurant for dinner, and ended up loving the atmosphere. Especially when the bartender/server/owner? would rush over, open the electric panel on the wall behind us, turn out the lights, and then start singing! We thought the music was excellent, the food was yummy (get the pastéis de bacalhau!), and the service friendly and good. I would highly recommend this place!

Incredible find. We were lucky enough to wander in on a Saturday night, but you should book ahead. The octopus was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable even though they don't charge for the Fado, which was incredible. Highlight is the owner himself coming out to sing.

I took a chance on this place as I wasn’t sure if they would have room for me without a reservation - I was in luck! Great food (had the octopus), wonderful, lovely, mesmerising fado, relatively well priced - my only negative: they don’t take cards, so keep that in mind.

*Overpriced food, rude personnel, hidden costs, misleading display* After some small bites at another restaurant, we stopped at Tasca do Jaime for more drinks and some bites, maybe diner if we were getting hungry later. We were received nicely, ordered some beers and a glass of wine (instead we received a jug) and received some bread (on the house we thought). The hostess brought the menu and was urging us to choose quickly because the cooking could take some time. Although we were still slowly enjoying our wine, we decided to order some sausages (9 euros) and tapas (15 euros) as starters, saying we would decide later, as we were still deciding what we wanted as a main course. So far so good we thought. The hostess said this definitely was not enough and we should at least order two portions of tapas. I tried to explain her we would order maybe some later (in a mix of English and Spanish, which she both did not fully understand), but she said again we had to order more food. I realized there was a mismatch here so I proposed we would finish our drinks and leave so other people could take our seats. The hostess said then (rudely) okay fine, and decided these two dishes were enough. Maybe I should have just insisted of not having the dishes and just have our drinks and leave, because the atmosphere for us was ruined already. We didn’t leave, so we received our sausages for 9 euros, which turned out to be one black sausage, and tapas for 15 euros, which was a bit of ham and two different kind of cheeses. I think this was ridiculously expensive and ‘sausages’ indicates plural, and tapas is not just cheese and cold ham. Our appetite was gone already so we only finished half. There were 2 guys singing fado so we waited politely for them to finish and then ask for the bill. This came up to 65 euros because we had to pay 14 euros for the bread (which could have been mentioned before) and we had to pay for the full jug of wine because at evenings of fado they did not serve by the glass, which was of course nowhere mentioned when we entered. Also some price was added because there was fado this evening. After leaving the restaurant, I checked again from the outside, if we could have seen any announcement of Fado singing or anything else which should have tipped us off that we couldn’t have just small bites and a drink but this was not the case. If the hostess would just have mentioned this place was only for full dinner and just accepted my offer of just having the drinks and leave, the evening would have ended much better for everyone. I would definitely not recommend to go here, there are many other places to enjoy fado where the personnel is much more friendly.

Wonderful little family restaurant in the heart of Alfama. We were treated like family, with kisses, face squeezes, solid, traditional food (and a really excellent slice of chocolate cake with caramel sauce...wow). The Fado was excellent, sung by Jaime, Duarte (beautiful voice and guitarist) and friends who also play and sing. Laura and Jaime couldn't have been kinder, and I felt just a little bit Portuguese when I left. (We came twice, we enjoyed it so much). Thank you Jaime, Laura, Duarte and David for you kindness and the excellent experience. (And for those who left reviews stating the beer is terrible here...they have the same beer as everyone else in Portugal...you don't go to Portugal for the beer!)

Ici c'est une histoire de famille tous participent au développement du restaurant musique cuisine etc. Et ça vaut vraiment le détour musique authentique cuisine traditionnelle typique et en l'accueil chaleureux.

Pésimo. No lo recomendaría ni a mi peor enemigo. La música es lo único que se salva salvo algunas actuaciones que no son aptas para quienes sufren de migrañas. Precio altísimo en relación a la malísima calidad de la comida.

Fuimos por las recomendaciones que hacía la gente en Google y menudo fiasco. Para empezar nos sirven aceitunas cn pan y atún dando a entender q era cortesía de la cada, cuando nos traen la carta y ya estaba medio plato consumido nos dimos cuenta que el coste de eso ascendía a 8 eurazos. Botellas de agua de 50cc a 2.50 euros cada una ( ni que fuera Solán de Cabras en botella de vidrio) y para colmo no hay opción para vegetarianos, ni una ensalada. Nos pedimos una ración para compartir viendo q no había nada interesante en la carta ( porque no lo hay) y nos dijeron q no, que mínimo un plato o de pescado o de carne cada uno. Viendo el.el.tema y por vergüenza de no levantarme de la mesa pedimos un pulpo...con una pinta malísima. Lo mejor de todo es qe no había pulpo, era una especie de timbal de fideos amarillos con trozos de pulpo mal hecHo entremezclados y para que al presentarío no hubiera dudas de que había pulpo, te ponen una pata NEGRA de este producto encima del timbal. En fin...nos salió cara la broma por casi 37 euros , q dicen q comer aquí es barato...pero yo X 37 euros en madrid tomo primero segundo bebida y postre. Una gran decepción. Lo único que merece la pena destacar es el fado en directo, que a juzgar por otros sitios que vimos cuando salimos. ..no tiene nada que envidiar al resto.

Wonderful people, good food, and great fado in the Alfama neighborhood. Jaime, the owner, comes out from the behind the bar to sing while his son plays the guitar, and other singers drop by to sing as well. Incredibly friendly people, and the food is very good, too. Make a reservation so you you can get a table before the music starts.

O verdadeiro espírito bairrista com um fado genuíno. O e é pequeno mas acolhedor! O atendimento é excelente. Sentimentos tratado como família. A comida é boa, fresca e caseira. Restaurante ideal para comer e ouvir um fado. Recomendo a toda a gente!

Informal, family run restaurant with leisurely no-rush service to ensure diners stay to enjoy the fado. Food good with a couple of outstanding dishes (including the octopus which is superb) Fado is by "wandering minstrels" ('Vadio') so it can be hit or miss as as to how many singers make an appearance. The owner Jaime and son Duarte sing so you are guaranteed some great music. Closed sundays and monday Highly recommended

Terrible food. Beer is worse I have ever tasted. Beef stake is swimming in horrible souse. Fado is ok but too short and during our dinner only men were singing.

Very cosy, local family run fado Restaurant. The Food was good and it was not expensive like other fado Clubs. The singers were passionate amateurs from the neighbourhood

You can find a lot of restaurants in Alfama which give you good dinners and Fados but la Tasca do Jaime gives you also a cozy space in a narrow street and pleasant waiters. We order some tapas, bacalao and 4 beers and it was less than 40 euros, fado included, obviously :).

We visited at the end of November on the recommendation of friends who had informed us that it was "obligatory". They were not wrong. This was the highlight of my visit to Lisbon. The music was first class, absolutely beautiful, the family staff very welcoming, friendly and eager to please, and the food excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant, and couldn't have been happier with my visit. Even though it was off season and empty upon our arrival, it had filled up within an hour or so and the atmosphere was so special, I felt we were party to something truly unique.
