A tiny restaurant with approx 10 tables to sit. Service was friendly and the prices affordable in a region of the city where you will find either fine dining or fast food places. I've had the rice with Gambas and Clownfish which was very delicious. Check it out if you are around and reserve a table when you arrive after 20:00.

Sehr gutes leckeres Essen auf einem höheren Niveau. Es ist sehr klein aber man fühlt sich sehr wohl dort, die Kellner sind echt noch richtige Kellner der alten Schule. Preis Leistung ist TOP!

Piccolissimo ristorante nascosto in una traversa. Cameriere che parla solo portoghese..il che aggiunge un tocco di veracità al posto dove si può gustare una genuina cucina locale. Buone anche le minestre, a solo 2 euro! Da provare le specialità di baccalà cucinato in vario modo. Nel coperto è compreso pane, olive e un minuscolo formaggio fresco. Ottimo il rapporto qualità/prezzo. Non siamo riusciti ad assaggiare i dolci perché le porzioni sono veramente abbondanti!

Kleines und gemütliches Lokal für ca. 20 Gäste. Wer um 20 Uhr kommt, sollte noch einen Platz bekommen.
Preise für 2 Pers inkl Getränke und Nachtisch 45€ inkl Trinkgeld.
Speisen sehr lecker und eine schöne Auswahl! Kellner bemüht und absolut höflich.

I am so disappointed! Unfortunately, I was mislead by the good comments for the restaurant. The food is not good. We had "pescado fesco" (hake fish) which is expected to be fresh fish which it wasn't. It was fried badly and really oily. It tasted like sea, we didn't really eat much. Second plate was veal meat, the meat was ok the "French fries" were oily and the opposite of crispy. I hoped they would have taken some frozen potatoes from the supermarket, those would have been better. The worst was that they charged us 7.20 euros for bread and cheese which they put on the table without a comment, so that you could expect it to be on house...
We paid 45 euros in total for 2 plates and a bottle of wine.. this is bad price-performance ratio!

Pas incroyable du tout et extrêmement cher.
Les petits fromages proposés en entrée et le pain sont payants, sans goût et chers.
La nourriture était plutôt bonne.

Nous y sommes rentrés pour une soirée fado. La musique était chouette mais sous prétexte de fado, nous avons payé bières et vins extrêmement chers pour une qualité plus que moyenne. Nous n'avons pas testé leur nourriture. La patronne et ses amis étaient là et riaient aux éclats pendant le concert, ce qui gachait le moment magique que ça aurait pu être.

El restaurante es una broma total! La comida está horrible y el servicio peor. Te sirve queso de cabra, pan, olivas al principio para que puedas pagar luego, sin avisarte cuando lo sirve, típica trampa, no?
Pedimos 3 platos, 1.gamba a la plancha(demasiada salada como si habría caído la botella de sal entera )
2. Calamar (viene con un paste de no se qué órganos mixtas dentro y el sabor... ASCO! )
3. Cerdo a la plancha y almeja (la carne estaba súper seca y las almejas olían .... interesante, seguro que no eran frescos). Al final, no nos dieron 0.60€ cambios aunque deberían.

Unfortunately the place where my girlfriend and I wanted to go was crowded so we decided to give this restaurant a try.
Before you order anything the waiter will offer you bread, cheese and olives as a starter. This will be billed later, so don’t be fooled. The bread and the cheese is edible but the olives are a shame.
Next we ordered three dishes: grilled gambas, pork with clumbs and the squid filled with chorizo and rice.
When they served the gambas and I took the first bite it was quite salty but instead of sending it back we decided to keep eating. Turns out despite being super salty the gambas were better than our two main dishes together. Which brings me to the second dish (pork and clumbs), the pork was dry and the (four) clumbs smelled fishy (fresh seafood does not smell fishy) - two of the clumbs were not even opened.
Lastly the squid arrived but instead of being filled with rice like the menu suggested, it was filled with something indescribable which after we asked the waiter turned out to be smashed squid with ground meat and the rice came as a side dish.
After eating half of everything we gave up and requested the bill. The waiter even asked us if everything was alright but when my girlfriend started to explain the problem in Spanish, he somehow could only speak Portuguese and seemed to not understand anything she told him.
All in all a bad experience. Not worth the money.

저렴하고 양도 적당합니다. 둘이서 귀족도미 구이랑 문어밥 먹었어요. 에피타이저로 주는 치즈 개당 2유로인데 맛있어요. 일요일이라 손님이 한 명도 없어 조용하게 잘 먹었습니다. 직원분이 차분하면서 친절해서 좋았어요! 집밥이 그립다면 이곳으로

Don’t eat here! I ordered dorade which was blend and not fresh at all, same for the rest of the food on my plate. My boyfriend ordered squid wish smelled really bad and tasted as it smelled. He sent the plate back after a few bites but still got sick and had to puke after we left..! I had a lot of good experiences eating in Lisbon but this is just the worst, do not eat here cause there’s a big chance you’ll get sick and it’s not worth ruining your stay in this beautifull city.

really bad experience. fish is not fresh, it had a really bad taste and was badly cooked. Same story for vegetables. I gave back my plate after a few bites, and still got sick afterwards. 2 hours after dinner I started puking, feeling dizzy etc. FOOD POISONING. I told them the fish wasn’t fresh and they refused talking with me about it. It’s not difficult to get decent fish in Lisbon, so it’s a big tourist trap. If you want good and fresh fish go to Pateo 13.

Un lugar pequeño, auténtico y lleno de calor humano. Atendido por un team fauloso de personas que te hacen sentir como en una casa de amigos de lisboa. Los calamares de entrada, El atún como plato fuerte, el vino ThyRo Douro y el postre de la casa alegraran tu noche.

Seppur nel Bairro Alto, tra varie trappole turistiche, ho avuto la sensazione di provare cibi genuini, in una piccolissima (26 sedute) osteria portoghese.
Buonissimo il Bacalhau a braz, non altrettanto il polpo, che mi sentirei di sconsigliare.
Conto forse un po' alto: 27 euro in due, con due bottigliette d'acqua piccole.
Occhio ai prezzi del vino: bottiglie da 15 euro a salire.

Super kleines und uriges Lokal. Das Essen ist gut, der Wein bezahlbar und das Ambiente unschlagbar. Insgesamt vielleicht 10 Tische, daher etwas Geduld mitbringen. Für Weißwein Liebhaber kann ich den Duas Quintas empfehlen. Wirklich ein Besuch wert!

So disappointed. As soon as you sit down they bring you a selection of bread, butter and cheese letting you think it's from the house. In the end they charge you for that. The food was ok, a bit overpriced and nothing special. Left with a very bad taste. Wouldn’t go back

Good local diner. Amazing house wine, great olives, average Gambas. Good alternative if you happen to be in the area. Could be annoying when waiting and kitchen staff argue at times as it's a very small restaurant.

Nous nous y sommes rendus ce soir en couple suite aux avis sur internet et à vrai dire nous avons été un peu déçu.
En guise de mise en bouche le serveur, ni bavard, ni souriant, ni même en nous indiquant que c'etait payant, nous a servi :
-5 tranches de jambon cru (5€)
-2 petits fromages frais+2mini beurres en barquettes (4€)
Ensuite la petite bouteille de vin rouge conseillée était hyper acide. Dommage...
Rien à voir avec d'autres expériences su Lisbonne !
En revanche pour ce qui est des 2 morues, c'était bon et copieux ! Le cadre quand à lui est sympathique, cocon et petit.

Ce restaurant typique ne paye pas de mine avec salle minuscule ! Il est cosy et sert des plats bien portugais... Mais les serveurs manquent un peu de sourire, et les cuisinières ne sont pas engageantes ! Attention car ils chargent d'office la table d'apéritifs vraiment très chers (5€ les 4 tranches de jambon cru, et 4€ les deux petits fromages frais, sans compter le pain !)... Et bien sûr ils ne préviennent pas que c'est payant. Refusez les d'office sinon ils seront facturés quoi qu'il arrive !
Quant aux plats c'est plutôt bon mais très gras, et blindés d'arrêtes pour ma part... Et le vin Alentejo 2014 servi ne remontait pas trop la moyenne...
On va dire que ça sera mon seul resto typique du voyage !

Wir hatten dort einen wunderschönen Abend in netter Umgebung und bei einfachem, aber gutem, Essen und einem sehr leckeren Wein. Sehr empfehlenswert. Die Online Reservierung hat übrigens super geklappt.

Siamo andati in questo posto su consiglio di un'amica. Cibo senza infamia e senza lode, servizio gentile, conto salatissimo per i prezzi di Lisbona. Ci siamo sentiti delle allodole. Attenti all' acqua che vi servono: le bottiglie piccole ( che noi non avevamo chiesto) fanno lievitare il prezzo.

Authentic Portuguese restaurant. Old fashion, very cozy and great service. The grilled octopus was perfectly prepared and cod was delicious. If you are planning to come make sure you make reservation or show up early to secure a table. Highly recommended!!!

They bring unsolecited starters, charging them even if it is written in their menu that it is against the law (artigo 135, alinea b, do n.3 do Decreto-Lei n. 10/2015 de 16 de Janeiro).
It is not pleasant that you have to pay 20% more for something that seems a present and maybe you haven't liked.
The restaurant is full of tourists, but no locals where there.

Autentico e buono, finalmente!
Ampia scelta di piatti a base di baccalà e di pesce in generale. Porzioni abbondanti, perfette da condividere, prezzi assolutamente onesti, locale semplice e vecchio stile, poco più di 20 coperti. Consigliatissimo. Complimenti e non cambiate :)

Hacía mucho tiempo que no me sentía tan mal en un restaurante. Para empezar, antes de dar las cartas te sirven unas aceitunas y un queso fresco con pan a modo de aperitivo... (sin haber pedido ninguna de las 3 cosas, al final te lo cobran) a parte de ilegal es lo menos ético que puede hacer cualquier "profesional" de hosteleria. La comida no estaba mal del todo pero muy mediocre para el precio que pagas. Tienen la cocina abierta y realmente mejor que estuviera cerrada dado que ves en todo momento la suciedad y la falta de ganas de sus cocineras. La mas joven no solo no paro de tocarse el pelo y el cuello sudado sino que también estaba mirando mal a todas las mesas en todo momento...
Enfín supongo que las críticas buenas que tienen son una trampa para turistas. No lo recomiendo a nadie. El camarero totalmente nefasto... Sin idiomas y sin oficio... Una lastima, con diferencia la peor cena en lisboa.

Muy acogedor.
El único contrapunto, quizás le falta algo de música de ambiente o poder pagar con tarjeta, aun así no desmerece la máxima puntuación. Volvería sin dudarlo.

Local pequeño y muy característico en el animado Barrio Alto. Puede ser difícil encontrar sitio pero merece la pena esperar y, mientras tanto, es posible tomarse una copa de vino. Como aperitivo sirven pan con jamón, aceitunas y queso fresco. Hemos probado tanto platos de carne como de pescado, muy recomendado el Bacalhau com nata..¡delicioso! raciones grandes y precio muy correcto, menos de 20 euro por persona con entrante + plato principal + vino.

Extrêmement déçue. Non seulement l attente est horriblement longue mais le fameux cabillaud etait bourré d arêtes et les french potatoes au compte-goutte. Les bons plans du routard sont à revoir ou réactualiser.

Great traditional small place we stumbled upon. Best Portuguese bread (they make it in house). Fish, steak, veal, cod... it was all great. Staff was wonderful too.

와이프랑 앞서 간 사람들의 추천을 받아 문어죽을 시켰는데 괜찮았음. 돼지고기..뭐도 시켰는데..삼겹살에 소금 좀 많이 뿌린 맛이었음. 포르투칼 자체가 돼지고기 요리 시키면 감자튀김이 같이 나와 같이 먹으면 간은 맞았음. 하우스 와인 350ml에 5유로 였고 요리들은 12유로 정도씩? 디저트로 크레페를 바닐라 아이스크림에싸서 뜨거운 초콜릿을 뿌린걸로 먹었는데 4.5유로 정도였던듯..근데 다 맛있음~ 근처 식당들에 비해 가성비 최고인듯함. 추천합니다

Trés Bonne cuisine typique familiale. Service au petits soins. Si vous ne voulez pas payer de suppléments refusez les tout simplement ici comme ailleurs. Je recommande c'était parfait et intimiste dans un décor un peu daté.

I loved this restaurant! 한국인 입맛에 그리 낯설지 않음. The owner and staff of this restaurant were so kind and gentle.
The quality of the food is the best. Especially I loved the octopus rice. It is a fresh octopus and rice stew.
The price is also good and reasonable. If I visit lisboa again, I will visit this restaurant again. I suggest to make a reservation for your table since it is very popular.
소박한 맛집. 문어국밥 몹시 괜찮음. 물론 한국식으로 밥이 푹 익은건 아니지만, 문어가 정말 부드럽게 조리됨. 주인분이랑 직원분 다 친절하시고 할머니 두분이 조리해 주시는 주방을 볼 수 있음. 예약 권장함. 자리 없어서 되돌아가는 경우 있음. 먹었던 생선구이등 대부분 느끼하지 않고 담백하고 신선함.

Tipica taverna portoghese con il suo fascino. Locale piccolissimo con pochi tavoli ben apparecchiati e curati. Qui è d'obbligo sapere il Portoghese perché l'oste non conosce altro e questo è il suo bello. Ottimi piatti di pesce e carne ben cucinati(in maniera letteralmente casalinga) accompagnati da verdura lessata. La cosa che ci ha attratto rispetto alla miriade di locali nelle immediate vicinanze è stata il fatto che non è un locale rinnovato ma ha il suo fascino originale vintage. Una cena qui non può mancare.

Unglaublich Lecker und relativ günstig. Sehr nettes Personal und trotz hohem Andrang unglaublich gemütlich. Am nächsten Abend konnte ich nicht anders, als das Lokal nochmalig aufzusuchen. Ein kulinarisches Fest!

Ignore the google rating - the restaurant may have been good 30 years ago (as per the newspaper articles inside) but the food is actually inedible. First time in 10 years that I have left truly disgusted by a meal... :/

Managed to walk in with no reservation several days ago.. the service was attentive. That's the only positive comment I have on this restaurant. They will put an assortment of olives, cheeses, and bread on the table.. all of which they will try to charge you for regardless of if you eat any of it or not. The fish was bland and disappointing. Within 2 hours of leaving, my stomach started to turn. I was up for over 18 hours vomiting. Beware of this place.

I visited this restaurant earlier week and was largely underwhelmed. First, they brought out appetizers that we did not order and did not touch that they tried to charge us for. But that can be excused I suppose, I mean I was tourist and I know it's easy money.
I ordered the sea bass and it was the most bland fish I've ever eaten in my life, which could also be excused except for what happened next: VIOLENT FOOD POISONING. I began to get projectile vomit less than 3 hours later. How do I know it was this restaurant? I was traveling with a friend and this was the only meal I didn't share, and I was the only one who got sick. I have never been so sick in my life from food poisoning, I didn't sleep for two nights. To make matters worse, I had to FLY HOME while I was sick.
Portugal has a number of great restaurants and fantastic food. Just skip this unsanitary, mediocre excuse for a restaurant.

Food was absolutely wonderful! Cod with potatoes and olives, clams to start and mango mousse for desert all in a cozy hole in the wall with good and friendly staff made this one of the best experiences in Lisbon. Highly recommend if you want a great Portuguese meal!
