What with Lisbon's newly found fame on the international circuit of mass tourism, this place might seem like a tourist trap at first. But it definitely remained true to its working class roots, offering simple, honest, but immensely tasty fare at very reasonable prices. Get a big jug of refreshing vinho verde and settle down for seafood and rice casserole or a big plate of ribs with home made chili sauce (yes!) and you'll be looking at a bill of 20 odd €. Not bad!

Kleine aber feine Kneipe mit original portugiesischen Besitzer (der nur Portugiesisch spricht). Sehr einfache Einrichtung, aber sehr charmant. Im Fernseher läuft Sport oder die Nachrichten, die Tische sind mit einfachen Papiertischdeckchen gedeckt und der Rest der Gäste (95% Portugiesen) unterhalten sich lautstark und fröhlich. Das Essen ist mega lecker!
Achtung: Es ist kein Sternerestaurant und versucht auch keines zu sein! Wer hohe Erwartungen hat oder ein ruhiges kleines Essen plant, könnte hier falsch sein.

Comida típica portuguesa. Platos sencillos pero abundantes, todo bien casero. Los precios son excelentes, el ambiente es muy tranquilo !! La atención es muy buena.

Tappa culinaria obbligatoria per chi visita la zona del Carmo. Frequentatissimo dai turisti ma anche da tanti locali in particolare la.polizia municipale che è di stanza lì vicino. La comanda è in self service , solitamente su tovagliette del tavolo. Il posto è piccolo , ma il servizio è straveloce, super Mario, Il proprietario è simpaticissimo. Per chi viene qui il galateo è bandito.

Amazing place. Awesome authentic local food. Barely seen any non-portuguese there. The food was excellent and very very cheap. We were among 3 and ordered one and a half portion of chocos (calamari), we had bread and cheese as starters, a bottle of green wine, dessert and 3 espressos and paid 30€ (10€ each!) For everything. I would definitely recommend everyone to go there to have an authentic Portuguese meal at a tasca.

It is definitely the best place in Lisbon with home-like cuisine! The food is very simple, but incredibly tasty.

Super cheap, we had a litre of the tasteful red wine, 2 dishes of grilled meat, 1 of grilled fish and 1 vegetarian, and with salads, fries and cheese for 35euros only!!!

Petit restau-cantine très fréquentée par les lisboètes. Plats classiques pour ce type de restaurants, roboratifs, rapport qualité prix incroyable (je m'en suis sorti pour 9€ plat-dessert-boisson). On peut venir en groupe, mais penser à réserver en particulier le weekend: c'est souvent plein, les locaux connaissent les bonnes adresses :)

Es una tasca portuguesa donde te sientas en la silla que se quede libre y comes con los trabajadores, jubilados, policias.....de Lisboa. Un hombre atiende a todas las mesas sin parar. No es el local más limpio de la ciudad pero la comida es casera como la de casa y los precios son muy baratos. A nosotros es lo que más nos gusta de Portugal, comer en este tipo de sitios y no en los que están dedicados al turista.

Encantados...Buena comida casera, muy generosa, buen servicio a pesar de el llevar 30 comensales el sólo ( SUPER MARIO ). Aparte de lo que pedimos para comer nos puso un queso como aperitivo y una ensalada sencilla...De estas veces que le dan ganas a uno de dejar 5 euros de propina ( dejé 1,60 ). Puede que repita antes de ir a Lisboa.

Very nice, small family restaurant that serves traditional Portuguese food. Food is tasty, house wine is very nice and the staff is friendly. Excellent value. Only minus is that the tiny restaurant is so crammed it is hard to move around and to get to the toilet one has to squeeze through some very narrow openings. However, highly recommendable for a true Portuguese experience :)

Aclaro que no le pongo 5 estrellas p q es sólo una tasca pero la comida es excelente, atendida por su dueño, buenos precios y mucha cordialidad. Nos dieron una entrada para picar muy rica. La comida es abundante y variada, justo lo que busco cuando estoy de viaje, comer bien, barato y distinto de lo que como siempre. Mucha variedad de pescado cocinados en el momento. Super recomendable

현지느낌 가득한 곳!! 사장님이 너무 친절하시고 의사소통이 안되니까 함박웃음+바디랭귀지로 소통하려는 모습도 너무 귀여우셨어요. 현지인 분들이 와서 주문하지도 않고 앉아계시면 사장님께서 알아서 메뉴를 가져다 주실 정도로 단골이 많아 보였어요. 한국의 기사식당이나 동네 맛집같은 느낌이었어요. 2명이서 각자 메뉴,음료,디저트까지 먹어도 20유로면 남을 정도로 저렴했고 맛있었어요!!

Cosy and small place that serves great food. Come early because it gets really crowded and you might have to queue. The codfish with fried rice was spectacular! The owner still topped it all off with cherry liquor shots on the house. Highly recommend this place!!!

Una experiencia recomendable, restaurante modesto pero como en casa, comida buena, saludable, rica y buenísimo precio. Vinimos aquí porque sabíamos que los trabajadores y estudiantes de aquí solían venir. Probamos y repetimos porque la comida y precio fueron inmejorables. Y para colmo la atención y la cercanía de los dueños nos hicieron sentirnos como en casa.

주인아저씨 짱 ㅋㅋㅋ 인상 좋으시고 친절하고 밝아요 완전 현지느낌 잔뜩ㅋㅋ 아홉시반쯤 ? 늦게가서 안되는 메뉴가 많았어요. 연어랑 밥이랑 알감자는 간간해요. 감자튀김은 간 없어요. 전체적으로 가성비가 훌륭했습니다. 이렇게 먹고 맥주 작은거 하나랑 콜라 하나먹고 16유로나왔네요. 빌지는 따로없고 빌지달라그러면 바닥에 깔린 종이에 숫자 써줘요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 현금만 되는것같았어요. 로컬식당으로 가볼만합니다.

현지느낌 물씬 풍기는 맛집입니다. 사장님의 영어는 조금 부족하시지만 열정이 느껴지며, 사진이 있어 주문하기 편합니다.
다만 다소 정신없는 분위기이다 보니 서비스가 조금 떨어진다고 느낄 수 있으나 가격대비 퀄리티가 상당히 훌륭합니다.
점심 저녁으로 구운 고기메뉴만 먹어봤는데 훌륭했습니다.
고기만 해도 적어도 300g은 넘어 보이는 식사와 와인 500미리를 먹었는데 딱 9유로 나왔습니다.

Un petit restaurant à découvrir absolument. La cantine du quartier pour habitués. Ambiance 100% portugaise. Cuisine familiale très bonne et copieuse. Beaucoup de choix ainsi qu'un plat du jour. Pas un endroit intime ou romantique, mais un endroit typique de la vie du quartier. Prix imbattables.

Clássica tasca portuguesa. Se está procurando uma experiência honesta e legítima da gastronomia e costumes portugueses, não perca o Mario. Os pratos são bem servidos, então a dica é pedir para dividir. Experimente o choco com tinta, que vem acompanhado de alho frito, batatas ao murro e um feijão que é de chorar de bom. Um shot de vinho do porto de sobremesa e você já pode dizer que esteve em Lisboa. :)

저렴한데 푸짐했던 저녁. 식전빵, 치즈 여러 덩이, 두가지 생선요리랑 곁들인 감자 , 신선한 야채샐러드! 와인 두 피쳐 마시는 동안 가게를 가득 채운 사람들의 떠들썩한 분위기 속에서도 즐거웠어요. 사장님과 웨이터분 영어는 안돼도 두분다 너무나 친절하시고 계속 오셔서 음식 괜찮냐 필요한거 없냐 체크해주셨어요. 거의 우리나라 뒷골목 동네 백반집 느낌. 포르투갈에서 가본 어떤 집보다 재밌고 가성비 최고였습니다. 아쉽게 해물밥은 없었지만 진짜 현지 포르투갈 음식 느낌. 먹고 나오면서 아저씨한테 너무 고마운 기분이었어요. 저흰 안먹었지만 고기도 맛있어보였어요

店內幾乎是當地人，老闆很親切用隔壁桌的餐點推薦給看不懂菜單的我們，海鮮湯飯魚肉和飯各半，魚肉嫩、蝦子新鮮，另一道馬鈴薯燉肉看起來像咖哩或日式料理，實際上吃起來有滿滿香料和蠟腸味，搭配店內辣椒醬，有另一層次的美味。
以上兩道菜加啤酒共20EUR，也是親切的價位。

Inmitten der ganzen Touristenfallen bekommt man hier einfaches aber gutes Essen zu einem sehr günstigen Preis. Der Gastgeber spricht kein Englisch, die Karte ist total zerfläddert aber irgendwie kann man sich dann doch verständigen und bekommt einen großen Teller voller köstlicher Speisen, dazu Käse und schnapps mit dazu. Fortunately it was the only disappointing place in Lisbon.
The place is pretty overrated. The tables are too close to each other (Not easy to sit or stand up). The food I ordered was inedible (it was recommended by the staff as a tourists favorite and authentic Portuguese dish), it was like the Hungarian "sólet" (cholent), but with a taste-less sausage and it was mixed with crow (beef belly). I didn't know about that contains such thing. The only thing I felt was the coriander, which was too dominant.
Compared to what are the ingredients of the dish and how the place look like it was too expensive (12 EUR).
The glass of wine was 3 EUR and I think it was the worst wine I tasted in Portugal.

There is one positive point (this is why I give 2 stars):
They realized that I was not satisfied (I wanted to pay and leave after eating the 10 % of the food), so they force me to drink a free espresso (second worst of my life) and glass of Porto wine (this wine is way too sweet for my taste).
I appreciate the gesture, but that kept me there, even though I wanted to leave as fast I could. After this I was not hungry at all.

Restaurant familial au Chiado, cuisine typique portugaise, on y mange bien, vraiment pas cher par rapport à ceux qui vous harcèlent dans les rues basses(attrape touristes). Creo que la comida, la simpatía del dueño, de las cocineras son inmejorables. Bacalao 10, guiso de gallina 10. . Te sientas y ya tienes un queso riquísimo de tapa, enseguida hay una ensalada, sin pedirla, los platos están al instante. Costillas, pescados, carne.
Un consejo, id pronto. Luego se llena y dejaros aconsejar por el dueño.

Spartano, informale e super accogliente. Si mangia in maniera divina, cibo semplice e tipico portoghese. La sensazione è quella di essere in famiglia, i piatti sono abbondanti e si spende pochissimo (12 euro a testa per un primo e un secondo, acqua vino e caffè) e ci sono stati portati gratuitamente nell'attesa della nostra ordinazione, anche due antipasti (una insalata e una porzione di formaggio, buonissimo) e due graditi bicchierini di ginginha. Le porzioni sono MOLTO abbondanti! A fine pasto viene in genere offerto un bicchiere di Ginginha, liquore tipico a base di amarene. Abbiamo cenato qui 3 sere su 5.

Pocas veces me atrevo a puntuar un restaurante, pero éste se merece las 5 estrellas. La verdad nos encontramos ahí gracias a google, estaba cerca y llegamos, estaba lleno de gente del lugar con platos llenos de comida. Lugar sencillo y acogedor, éramos 2 adultos y 2 niños ( que ya habían comido) pedimos 1 salmón, 1 parrillada de carne y de entrada queso y chorizo (el señor que atiende te da un papel para que escribas que vas a querer, se equivoco y en vez de chorizo llegó un platazo de calamares a la parrilla ( he viajado tanto por el mundo y nunca he probado unos más buenos), gracias al equívoco me los comí, dejamos el salmón para llevar y nos pedimos el postre un rico flan, también café y el señor nos ofreció el licor de ginginha delicioso. Todo el comeliton fueron 35€ x todo!

No pretense restaurant. Guy who runs this place runs around with a big smile on his face, like it is the best job he could ever wish for. It might have something to do with there being friends in the restaurant, and that Portugal was doing well in the soccer World Cup. They seemed to be discussing whether Messi was the best soccer player ever.
He doesn’t know much English but makes it work by showing a plate with all of the actual fish he serves. Menu contain pictures and some other languages besides Portuguese. One of the white fish, that was served with chickpeas, was quite salty. The other one, that looks like the Dutch “kibbeling” dish, was very nice. The dishes are served on separate plates from the one you eat from, so it’s easy to share among your group.
Price is very decent. But like I said, there are no pretenses of grandeur. One of the other guests was very helpful in exposing how everything works in this place (in Portuguese of course).

Very good "tasca" (tasca a way to say local restaurant, sometimes a bit too typical). Fish is fresh and meat is very good too, dishes are typical and very well done, deserts are awesome too. The staff is very amicable and it feels like a familiar joint. It's easily the best restaurant in the vicinity. I have to recommend it.

Restaurante simples típico com o atendimento familiar e simpático do proprietário, melhor relação qualidade preço da zona do chiado, óptima opção para almoço ou para um jantar de amigos antes de uma saída noturna na área.

Family owned restaurant. You can tell there's a lot of love in the restaurant. Food was good, excellent prices

The service was ok and that's about the only positive thing to be said about this place.
The food was almost inedible - overcooked, rubbery, badly seasoned and swimming in fat.
The salad consisted mainly of vinegar with a few leaves of lettuce and 2 slices of tomato.
To be fair it was very cheap (we paid 15 euros for 2 mains and 4 glasses of wine), so the quality of the food might match the pricing, but this is not the place to visit if you want a decent meal.

Delicious, 2 main dishes,1 soup，bread, total €14，適合亞洲遊客，便宜又不錯吃，好像香港茶餐廳，一般店家魚都死鹹，這家還可接受，洋山芋好吃過主菜，湯很棒，在滿街給觀光客吃的餐廳中，這裡很本土味，多謝本地人的介紹

Nous avons découvert la Tasca de Super Mário en octobre 2013. L' accueil était très chaleureux, la cuisine familiale, copieuse et sincère, d'un rapport qualité-prix imbattable. Nous y sommes retournés presque tous les jours durant notre semaine de vacances... Nous retournons à Lisbonne en février prochain et nous ne manquerons pas d'y déjeuner à nouveau !

Tipico restaurante de barrio portugues típico. Mantel de papel, alboroto, pequeñito... pero una comida portuguesa muy abundante, generosamente servida, celeridad en el servicio y buena atención. Precios muy asequibles (media 5 euros en platos con los que te sacias sobradamente).Esta en el Chiado con lo que al salir de cenar luego se puede tomar una copita por la zona.
