Sehr leckeres Essen zu einem guten Preis. Es gibt leider nur vier Tische, aber wenn man einen Platz erwischt, wird man auch mit tollen Tapas belohnt.

Waiter seemed bothered we were even there. Never smiling. That would be ok, if the food was good. It was ok. Every dish was saltier than the next. The fried sardines i believ was just regular fried calamari. The pork sandwich was allright though. Prices were a little stiff for the quality.

Simple mais très bon. Tapas parfumés, petite terrasse typique en toute simplicité. Si comme nous vous fuyez les attrapes touristes allez y sans hésiter !

Vorneweg: CASH ONLY! (Wie jedoch fast überall hier) Wir waren gleich zweimal dort. Es gibt eine gute Auswahl aus verschiedenen Tappas. Ich würde sagen was das Herz so begehrt. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Absolut zu empfehlen. Typisch portugiesisch gibt es hier wohl auch. Selbst nicht probiert, aber von anderen Gästen und Einheimischen, den Codfish portuguese style oder so.

Simplesmente Magnífico. Os melhores petiscos e serviço de Alfama.

Aunque es un restaurante pequeño, dispone de terraza con varias mesas. Las mesas no son muy grandes pero es apañado. Buen menú y precios asequibles. La ración de calamares escasa y cara pero la cazuela de bacalao muy recomendable. Trato agradable.

Reading past reviews and being tourists, we were afraid of bad service initially. However we decided to go ahead as it was near our accommodation. We were so glad we did. The food was amazing. And the waiter / owner seemed fierce at first, but he was really polite and friendly after all. So I believe kindness begets kindness, and treat others how you would want to be treated. Prawns in garlic oil and roasted sausages are must-orders. They are to die for. We will miss this when we head back to our home country!!!

Super découverte de ce petit restaurant a tapas a l'écart des restaurants touristiques d'alfama. Idéal pour tester des plats locaux sous forme de tapas a partager.

Accueil détestable. Le restaurant était vide et on avait le sentiment de déranger le personnel. Le gérant refuse l'accès aux toilettes de son établissement tant que vous n'avez pas passé votre commande pour manger. Nous n'avons même pas pris la peine de rester compte tenu de l'accueil exécrable. Ne mettez pas les pieds la bas sauf si vous tenez à être traités comme des serpillières.

Super food, very helpful with dietary advice. A nice atmosphere with a friendly service (waiter is easy on the eyes). So good we had to order more food and wine and stayed far longer than we had anticipated. Shame it’s our last night as we would love to come back for more.

Lieu typique, avec de délicieux tapas, simple mais efficace. Loin de la foule et des touristes, je recommande fortement pour passer un agréable moment. Ambiance chaleureuse avec un patron très serviable. Peu d'attente. Tarif très raisonnable (entre 1.50e et 6e)

Only cool thing about this place is the location. Food is super expensive and not worth eating it. We ordered mixed cheese with bread for 5 euros and got 1 slice of bread and 5 slices of the same cheese. The restaurant downstairs looked way more welcoming and is definitely more Portuguese. Further, the waiter was kind of unfriendly. Next time we would definitely go to the place of the old couple below.

Terrible experience, do not go here. I see other people found the waiter (owner?) to be an absolute C U Next Tuesday; is it bad that I'm a little reassured by that? My girlfriend and I came here for wine and some nibbles before a night out. The wine was disgusting but we drank it. The olives were marinated in something vile so we just had 1 each and left the rest. We also ordered the bread and 'mixed cheese', which i see someone else ordered and got the same: stale bread and five pieces of the same cheese. He never came over to check if the food was ok, so when I went up to pay I discreetly explained that we couldn't pay for the bread and cheese because the bread was stale. This is when he completely lost his temper and started accusing me of thinking I was better/smarter than him, trying to 'cheat him' out of money etc. I was completely taken aback but tried to calmly explain that nobody was trying to scam him, we just couldn't eat something that was old (which he insisted it wasn't), and we weren't going to pay for something we couldn't eat. He gave me the bill without the bread but left the cheese on, so I left €10 instead of €11 (mainly because i couldn't be bothered to dig around for the change) and as we started to walk down the street he shouted after us, saying things like 'don't make me come down there' 'don't make me get angry'. I went up and tried to talk to him like a normal person and explain that we were not happy to pay for the cheese since it looked inedible and was next to stale bread. He started squaring up to me (a woman, much smaller than him) and trying to intimidate me in front of his other customers; he looked like absolute idiot to be honest, but men who seem harmless and stupid can still turn violent, so i wasn't prepared to ruin our evening/holiday and left him the extra €1. Clearly, he is a very fragile man who hates tourists (and possibly women...), but when you have a bar in a tourist area you might just have to suck it up mate. Or pretend you don't speak english and turn them away? Sadly, the cute old lady at the restaurant next door was trying to get us to go into her place before we sat down, and during our time there she kept looking over at us with a sympathetic but i-told-you-so look in her eyes :(

The worse food we ever had!!!! Three tables ordered and three tables left with the intere food on the plates and the waiter dont even ask why we or everybody else, didnt finish our food. Only appetisers, no dishes... And BAD BAD BAD FOOD Dont waste your $$$$ there O galhardo = The gall . The right name for this place

Leuke locatie voor een drankje MET snack. 16:00 even snel iets gegeten en door. Chorizo is zeker een aanrader. Ober was prima, liet ons gewoon genieten.

We ordered the mixed cheese and bread and we literally got 2 slices of simple, dry bread and 5 slices of the same cheese. Like it came straight out of the supermarket but for a way to expensive price. Nice location, and the waiter was so friendly to give is some recommendations in the area, but overall very dissapointing!

Unfassbar unfreundlicher und aggressiver Besitzer! Wer kein Essen bestellt wird sofort auf unhöfliche Weise vertrieben. Nicht hingehen!

My experience in this place was terrible, the waiter was extremely rude, please, change the waiter! , we just ask for a table and he came out to scream to us

Llegamos a las 18:00 y después de esperar para que nos antendieran pedimos unas bebidas y el camarero (con un tono más seco imposible) nos dijo que para poder tomar algo teníamos que pedir también para comer. Para no tener que levantarnos pedimos la sardina con pan (3,50 cada una), la cual estaba bien. Sin embargo la actitud del camarero no era la más adecuada, teniendo en cuenta que se puso a hablar por teléfono sentado en una de las mesas y después con unos colegas que aparecieron por allí sentado en la mesa también sabiendo que estábamos esperando para pagar. Conclusión, no volvería nunca teniendo alrededor otros sitios con mejor atención.

Camarero muy maleducado. Realizando llamadas por teléfono y hablando con amigos sin atender el servicio. Muy agresivo al hablar con los clientes. No lo recomiendo. Waiter so rude. He was making phone calls during the service . So agressive while talking to clients. I do not recommend it.

Accueil déplorable. Apparemment, le serveur n'avait pas envie de bosser ce soir là. 2 tables de 4 libres, on était 4, il n'a pas voulu nous installer a une table.

Being portuguese, this was a deception, not really portuguese food. Good location but too expensive for the quality. If you are looking for original portuguese food, this is not the place.

Everything was delicious! We had many small tapa dishes and green wine. The flaming sausage is a must try. And the limpets!

Friendly staff, good food and downright amazing drinks. I had the house lemonade, which comes with mint and isn't overly sweet, and a glass of the port, which was some of the best I've ever had.

Nice quality and reasonable price. Bottle of wine, 2 sardines, 2 cod croquettes, pimientos de padrón, cuttlefish stripes, and lemon desert for 23 quid.

Really good food, quick service, amazingly cheap! Been there multiple times and always amazed by the quality!
