If you want to live an entire portuguese night in Lisbon you can't miss this place. Portuguese people definitely know how to enjoy life and how to eat. Pateo 13 is probably the best restaurant I went to in Lisbon ! A typical portuguese place with a terrace and musicians playing blues and fado. The menu offers you local specialities such as fish soup or cabbage soup, grilled fish and a massive piece of grilled meat. Yum ! There are also a large panel of wines (white, red, rosé and green) for nothing. I suggest the green wine which is a bit dry, floral and not too strong. Typical of Portugal ! The place in itself is a small paradise because you're in the middle of Alfama in a tiny street. At last, the service was really kind, trying to share portuguese culture and cuisine with you. I would go back to Lisbon to eat one more time in Patéo 13 ! THE thing not to miss: The 'doce a 13', the home dessert ! It's better to reserve or to come early because after 9, the restaurant is full.

Fresh FARMED fish is what you eat here. If you are ok with that. Sure. We are NOT. The Swordfish isn't Swordfish is Black Scabbard. ( gets lost in translation of Portuguese to English). We ordered and quickly realized it. Not same texture, taste at all. We know our swordfish. Sardines are always wild. So order that and you will be fine. Take place for what it's worth, outdoor experience. Not giving one star as it does have appeal. But realize what you are having. Tour guides say FRESH FISH. BUT ASK, BUT IS IT WILD, OCEAN caught?

Consigliati dalla Lonely Planet abbiamo deciso di pranzare in questo locale. Molto semplice, frequentato da tanti turisti,immerso nelle viuzzole sotto il Castello.. Abbiamo testato le tipiche sardine alla griglia, molto buone e un trancio di pesce spada(niente di che) . È presente un frigo con il pesce fresco che vi verrà poi cucinato. Nota negativa, la zuppa di pesce (che di pesce ha poco), a soli 1,50€. 26€ compresi acqua e vino da mezzo litro

Mention Spécial pour se restaurant un peu excentré du centre ville mais qui sincèrement est mon coup de coeur du portugal. Un rapport qualité prix incroyable, un service simple et efficace des desserts locaux fait maison tres bon et du poisson frais grillé minute a vous faire tomber par terre. Sans compté les musiciens qui vienne vius pousser la chansonnette pendant le repas. Ce lieu est vraiment tres agréable et pour moi un séjour au portugal sans passer par se restaurant c'est comme un petit déjeuner sans pastel de nata. Je recommande vraiment.

Personalmente mi è piaciuto molto, veramente tipico e caratteristico con uno staff molto cordiale: la cucina è prettamente alla brace e sia la qualità di cottura che la freschezza del cibo sono ottimi. Unico neo le mosche che con un clima molto caldo infestano la zona fuori, ma sinceramente non sono un gran problema. Vini discreti, prezzi ottimi. Consigliato

À ne pas rater, découvert par hasard au coin d'une ruelle étroite du quartier de Afalma, ce restaurant offre le meilleur rapport qualité prix de notre séjour à Lisbonne. Les produits y sont frais et cuisinés minute, le personnel est très bien et parle français pour la plupart ce qui ne gâche rien. Nous avons pris à deux, 2 entrées, 2 plats de poissons, 2 desserts, 1 bouteille de vin et un café pour seulement 32€, Incroyable même ici.

Restaurante peculiar puesto que comes fuera en una plaza, no tienen mesas dentro, todo el pescado lo hacen a la brasa, para mi el mejor bacalao a la brasa, por poner un pero decir que con el calor que hacía y comiendo en la plaza las moscas acudían. Supongo que no haciendo calor se estará mejor. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

We were denied to be served without ordering some main course food. Even we ask just for 2 glasses of sangria to take them and sit on the nearest bench. I 've hoped that rule 'our customer our master' works everywhere in the world, unfortunately, not here.

Not good at all. The fish was completely raw and uncooked which made my husband sick. There were leaves and bugs all over our tables and food. Would definitely NOT recommend.

Excellent rapport qualité prix. Aven mon épouse, on a pris deux soupes, deux plats de calamars grillés, deux desserts, une carafe de sangria et une bouteille d'eau. Le tout pour 32euros ! La bouffe pas sophistiquée, mais très bonne. Les longues tables favorisent la socialisation. Il faut parfois attendre pour trouver une place. Pas de cartes de crédit, préparez du liquide à l'avance.

Really great restaurant if you want to experience Portuguese cuisine in it’s simplest form (e.g grilled sardines!). Extremely fresh ingredients, outside seating, and great prices make Pateo 13 a lovely dining experience. I’d recommend: (i) going early (7pm) as queues begin to form as the evening progresses; (ii) the sangria - can’t beat sitting outside with a jug of cheap sangria; (iii) the fish soup as it’s very good value.

Allora... Il posto è un po' "imbucato" e per trovarlo in mezzo alle innumerevoli viuzze della Alfama ci vuole pazienza, ma merita. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo e il cibo, io ho mangiato pesce, è davvero buono. Consiglio di non ordinare altro, oltre al proprio piatto, perché ci sono già i contorni. Il vino bianco della casa, in bottiglia comunque e anche da mezzo litro, decisamente ottimo!!! Il personale è molto gentile, capisce l'italiano ed anche il menù è in italiano. Unica pecca, ma è una considerazione personale, è il caldo tremendo stando seduti al tavolo. Lo consiglio vivamente.

Fuimos a cenar en nuestra última noche de vacaciones y todo fue perfecto. Tuvimos que esperar bastante por una mesa, lo cual era normal porque éramos cinco, varias parejas consiguieron mesa antes que nosotros, pero el ambiente del lugar lo hacía muy ameno (también las cervezas!) Las raciones son contundentes y nada caras. Producto fresco, servicio muy amable y ambiente inmejorable. Recomiendo ir.

1. Abend: Voll, keinen Platz bekommen; 2. Abend: Geschlossen, da Montag; 3. Abend: Um 19:15 Uhr vor Ort gewesen und einen Tisch erhalten :-) Das Essen war sehr lecker und zudem frisch zubereitet. Wir hatten den Seebarsch und den Schwertfisch - beides zu empfehlen. Dazu den weißen Hauswein. Unsere Kellnerin zeigte uns heute leider kein Lächeln und Zuvorkommenheit zählte nicht zu ihren stärken, was dem Essen sowie dem guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis jedoch keinen Abbruch tat.

Such an amazing place to eat! All the food is super fresh and prepared in front of you out on the terrace by a very enthusiastic chef. The staff are all extremely helpful and informative. The venue itself is so lovely, tucked under a load of steps on a cobbled terrace, we were lucky enough to have a street performer arrive to sing with his guitar which was a great addition. Amazing value for money for the quality of the food and drink. Definitely go here! If you don't have a reservation try and aim to get there around 7 to avoid the rush.

Súper súper recomendable, escondidito en el barrio de alfama. Las mesas muy pegaditas pero lugar muy auténtico. Pescado rico casi todo a la brasa, hay dos sopas y ambas muy ricas, a 1,50€ cada una!!!! Suele estar llenísimos así que recomiendo ir pronto o hacer reserva. Súper importante que no aceptan tarjetas extranjeras, solo de Portugal o efectivo.

Met the nicest people here. Ate such fresh fish, Fantastic! Waiter was helpful and kind. They were out of my beloved octopus, waiter suggested Sea Bream delicious! Waiter was worth every second. My man got us two glasses of wine to wait I line with, the Portuguese know how to do it!

Riquísimo todo. Nos lo recomendaron unos amigos y no nos ha defraudado. Pedimos las brochetas de carne y la dorada y cenamos muy, muy bien. De postre la tarta de galleta y café. Ligera y rica, sin ser excesivamente dulce. El queso que sirven de aperitivo merece la pena comerlo. Nos gustó mucho. Además de todo, el camarero, un chico joven con barba que hablaba muy bien en inglés y en español, era estupendo. Súper simpático, agradable y nos atendió de 10. Volveríamos sin dudarlo. Eso sí, es mejor ir en cuanto abren si no queréis hacer cola.

Un lugar pintoresco en un bonito patio en pleno barrio de Alfama donde se prepara pescado fresco a la brasa y también carnes. La atmósfera es ideal y las raciones de buen tamaño. Genial para cenar allí, eso sí, prepárate porque tendrás que esperar un poco, ya que el lugar está muy solicitado. Recomiendo comer sardinas a la brasa, sepia y, como no, patatas fritas acompañadas de un vinho verde :)

Las mejores sardinas que he probado en mi vida, cocinadas a la brasa, acompañadas con una ensalada de pimientos asados y cebolla. Las mesas son corridas y están en la calle, es importante ir pronto porque se llena siempre y no reservan. De postre, la mouse de chocolate es brutal.

Będąc w Lizbonie nie możesz pominąć tego miejsca. Zamawiamy wszystko co z morza a resztę można odpuścić. Prawdziwa uczta smaków. Polecam!!!! Pamiętajcie żeby przyjść do godziny 19 potem trzeba odstać przynajmniej 30 min w kolejce.

Terrific place. Fish and meat grilled right outside in the street, picnic tables, great service, simplicity. Nice wines and delicious desserts as well. Very crowded, and expect to sit with strangers, which can be quite enjoyable. Bream and sea bass were perfect, lightly charred and super tasty!

Good value for money. Sea bass was good. Ribs were quite salty. When live music was playing the atmosphere was great, but that didn't last for long. Had to queue for half an hour before being seated. Enjoyed our experience but not outstanding.

Friendly service with fresh fish cooked in front of you. Interesting embellishment, but the food speaks for itself without the side-show and atmosphere of the dining area. Reasonable prices. Mention if you don't want the cheese or bread placed at your table, it is standard practice to put nibbles down but you will be charged if you eat them. Would recommend the black swordfish (shout out to our waiter who picked it out for me). Come early, make a reservation and expect a wait, this places fills up quickly.

Überbewertet. 1h Warten lohnt nicht. Service super freundlich, günstiger Preis für das Essen, aber ein Schweine-spiess mit dem man Rom erneut aufbauen könnte und eine eiskalte chorizo als Vorspeise sowie eine Seezunge die völlig versalzen war; darauf kann man verzichten. Kann man in Lissabon besser haben. Unsere Tischnachbarn haben ihr Erlebnis ähnlich beurteilt.

Siamo stati per pranzo e il posto è molto carino: hanno i tavolini fuori nella piazzetta sotto degli ombrelloni, l'atmosfera è allegra. Abbiamo mangiato baccalà e sardine alla griglia, vino bianco della casa, dolce, caffè, aguardente. Tutto ottimo e abbiamo speso 20€ a testa (inclusi gli "antipasti" (pane, formaggio, olive, burro) che portano al tavolo in tutti i ristoranti e che fanno pagare se non li rimandate indietro).

Здесь можно вкусно поесть. Очень недорого. Столики стоят прямо на улице, и очень неприметно выглядят. официанты очень приятные и все подсказывают. Рыба и мясо свежие и можно выбрать прямо на витрине, что ты хочешь. Кузня простая, но очень вкусная. Рыбный суп и дорадо отменные. На десерт дают прекрасный шоколадный мусс.

Nice setting!! Service was not great though. Ordered starter and waited 25mins which never came, but the main arrived Waiter was surprised as us. . My fish was very good, but wife's? She was not impressed. Pity because I walk passed many times and thought I would like to eat here hence 3 stars. Agree try to get there early.

Not the best pick if you are looking for a posh place but great choice if you are seeking wonderful portuguese. We tried almost all the fish and most meats, all equally delicious and fresh. Best thing is it's also one of the cheapest places we found. Sometimes you have to wait to be seated (even 20minutes!) but it is worth it.

Es un lugar pintoresco y que casa perfectamente con el barrio de Alfama, comida sencilla y con poca variedad pero bien echa y de primera calidad, el personal agradable pero un poco despistado, tuvimos q andar llamándolos a cada rato por que se olvidaban de nosotros, nos lo tomamos con filosofía porque el lugar estaba abarrotado. Pasamos un calor infernal pero comimos bien, es recomendable más que nada por lo auténtico q es comer ahí, si os animáis, paciencia...

Immer wieder super! Das Ambiente ist kaum zu toppen und fühlt sich an wie ein Essen unter Freunden. Das Essen ist preislich mehr als fair und super lecker. Selbst zwischen dem Gewusel finden die Kellner noch nette Worte für einen und lassen sich die Gelegenheit für eine kurze , nette Unterhaltung nicht nehmen. Authentischer geht es nicht!

Ils vous mettent dehors à la fin du service alors que vous avez à peine fini de diner en vous disant d aller finir votre verre de sangria ou vous cigarette dans les escaliers À éviter si vous arrivez un peu tard ils feraient mieux de refuser des tables plutôt que de se comporter de cette manière ca fait vraiment : on vous à encaisser alors maintenant partez .... Great place for grilled seafood, inexpensive wine with a large outdoor seating area. You will probably have to wait a good 15-30 minutes to be seated, but worth the wait. You can buy drinks at the bar while you wait. Dishes are basic, but essentially you are going here for seafood. Sardines and sea bass are both excellent. For the sweet tooth, try the Sweet 13 dessert with a coffee. It's excellent.

Very tasty food and reasonable price. Local neighborhood restaurant vibe. Patio seating only so be prepared to smell like BBQ for the rest of the day (which isn't necessary bad :p). Friendly service! There are pigeons around so if you are really scared of them, maybe this is not the spot for you? The line can get pretty long so come early if possible.

Voll mit Touristenhorden, es gibt eigentlich nie einen freien Platz sondern nur lange Warteschlangen, geschätzt mindestens eine Stunde oder mehr. Ist halt wie immer mit den sogenannten Geheimtips, spätestens wenn sie in Google sind kann man sie vergessen. Essen nichts Besonderes, gegrilltes eben.

Sehr schön mitten in der Altstadt gelegenes Fischrestaurant. Sehr schöne Atmosphäre obwohl sehr viel Touristen dort speisen. Öffnet abends um 19:00 Uhr. Wenn man nicht reserviert hat, sollte man früh da sein, um noch einen Platz zu bekommen. Ansonsten muss man warten. Der Fisch ist extrem lecker und kommt frisch vom Grill.

Questo locale mi è stato consigliato da un amico di Lisbona ed effettivamente merita sia per la qualità del pesce e della carne che per il prezzo ( in italia un posto con questo rapporto qualità prezzo è difficile da trovare ormai). Consigiglio gli spiedini di calamari serviti con patate lesse e verdura oppure gli spiedini di carne. Con 15 euro a testa si mangia e si beve birra media. Consigliatissimo

Le lieu se résume à une placette, commandé des sardines grillées, elles étaient même pas cuitent, fort chère pour ce que c'est et si on vous place le long du mur attention au fientes de pigeons. Et pour finir quand j'ai voulu aller chercher mon fils aux toilettes avec mon sac dans les mains la serveuse m'a demander d'un ton sec d'aller m'asseoir, comme si j'allais les voler...plus jamais.

Restaurante a que volto todos os anos por está altura (é um facto também que só está aberto nesta época do ano), seja pelas sardinhas e outros petiscos ou pela simpatia castiça da equipa de empregados. Pois este ano, para meu espanto, a simpatia de alguns empregados que deixei de ver, foi trocada pela antipatia de alguns outros, que surgiram agora com uma proeminencia não esperada, a ponto de rejeitar clientes da fila, com o pretexto que já não iriam atender mais, pois também teriam direito a ir almoçar (como se alguém pudesse pôr isso em causa). Intimate place on a hidden square, fresh salad is great. Cod fish was chewy, but everything else looked great. Good selection of wine. Inexpensive.

Only open during summer months. In june they dont accept reservations, otherwise try to reserve otherwise if you are having dinner you may have to wait. I love the sardines and the bolo de bolacha. Pepper salad is also great.

I loved the atmosphere here. The Sardines were amazing. The service was quick. We were lucky to get a table right away, but we were there early. The salad was also amazing.

Non-descript food, ok sardines and dry, dirty tasting (more a matter of clean up and preparation than grilling...) squid. Charges for unrequested "appetizers" (ok cheese, bread and airplane catering butter). It IS cheap and sits in a nice piazzetta, unfortunately mostly shrouded in grill smoke. Service bordering on terrible with waiters slow, rude and cracking jokes about other customers (?!).

Lokaal heerlijk visrestaurant. Klein Plein waar je voor een klein bedrag (h)eerlijk kunt eten. Rijen op het stoepje met een drankje wachten op je plek. Super!

Beautifully grilled seafood and meats at incredibly low prices, 3-10 euros. And good wine list. Nice spot if a little too well lit. Recommended.
