L’hôtel est très bien situé, en plein cœur de Lisbonne où vous pouvez faire pas mal de choses à pied.L’hôtel a besoin de rafraîchissement, pas d’isolation phonique et sonore. Les meubles prennent de la place mais ne servent à rien... c’était juste pour un Week-end mais pas plus...

Es un buen lugar considerando el precio, buenas camas, el barrio es tranquilo hacia un lado te acercas al centro y costa y al otro te internas por laberintos preciosos y súper tradicionales. No hay dónde estacionar, hay que subir escaleras por lo que no te sirve si tienes alguna dificultad para caminar.
Baños limpios, personal distante y conoce poco idioma, no todos hablan inglés. Lo recomiendo por unos días para bajar costos.

We stayed in this B and B hotel two years ago. Room was clean and tidy. Friendly stuff, we hardly manage to communicate because they don't speak english. Perfect location, 10 minutes walks to the city center.

Pensión bastante decente, en zona antigua, cama bien, Wi-Fi bien, lo único que hay opciones de compartir el baño o no...
Iluminación en la habitación escasa, no funciona el mando de la TV. La nevera funciona divinamente.
Aparcamiento por la zona más o menos de gratis pero muy escaso.
Admitieron a mi mascota sin ningún cargo extra... Relación calidad-precio, aceptable.

Скромная гостиница с видом на собор и чуть-чуть на океан. Это самый центр Лиссабона, легко добраться от вокзала -- убер стоит 5 евро. И почти везде можно дойти пешком. На фото -- вид с балкона гостиницы.

Pied à terre excellent à Lisbonne ! L'établissement est propre, bien équipé, très bien placé, la gérante est adorable et le petit-déjeuner (compris !) très bien (boisson chaude, petit pain, beurre, confitures). Une excellente adresse.

Hôtel accueillant. Par contre votre site EXPEDIA ne mentionne pas correctement les taxes de séjour à payer en plus dès larrivée à la réception. En effet Il nous a été demandé de régler 8 euros en plus du total initialement indiqué par vos services mentionnant toutes taxes comprises.

W centrum Alfamy, widok na katedrę SE. Pokoje czyste, codziennie sprzątana z wymianą ręczników. Lodówka oraz umywalka w pokoju. Wspólne toalety zadbane i czyste. Zaskoczeniem na plus był rano śniadanie, może bez wielkiego WOW, ale były bułki, dżem, masło, kawa i herbata. Moim zdaniem super.

Super convenient and cheap location down by the water. Metro is moments away. Might be hard to find, if you aren’t paying attention. The reception is up two flights of stairs. Some of the staff doesn’t speak English but they were still very welcoming, friendly, an accommodating. My room had a nice big bed and high ceilings. Communal bathroom was always clean. I didn’t have any problem sleeping. The room did not have a heater which might be a problem for some. But for the price and location, I can’t complain. Would stay again.

Great location and clean, nice rooms! We had a beautiful balcony with a castle view. Receptionists at times a bit confused, and being only allowed one butter per breakfast is a bit weird. But otherwise a fantastic cost-benefit ratio!

Très bonne adresse pour un séjour lisboète, situé en plein coeur de l'Alfama. Chambre spacieuse et propre, literie parfaite, accueil chaleureux, quartier calme. Au pied de la cathédrale Sé et de la ligne du fameux Tram 28.

Really clean, pleasant room in a great area of Lisbon (in my opinion the most beautiful area of Lisbon). Staff were very helpful even though i dont speak Portugese. Only downside is it can be noisy at night and first thing in the morning, coming from outside on the streets (diners ouside talking, glass bottle bins being collected, etc).

Other than the location, the hotel is very much to our disappointment. The hotel room is in need of replacement of shower stall as one of the door missing for whatever reason and a shower curtain was put in place to do the job and yet the rings for the curtain was not meant for the shower stall railing rendering it useless.The room door knob fell off the door and the knob inside the room was nowhere to be found. The chair in the room was basically no cushion to sit on though the upholstering was there. You are sitting on the sides of the chair giving you a feeling sitting on a toilet bowl seat but a lot more uncomfortable. There is also no provision of cups in the bathroom to brush your teeth. On request we were given a plastic wine glass. There is also no shampoo available.

Für einen Städtetrip ist dieses Hotel/Pension zu empfehlen. Das Hotel befindet sich direkt in Lissabon und nur in wenigen Minuten zum Fluss. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind durch die Öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel super zu erreichen. Insgesamt waren wir mit dem Hotel/Pension sehr zufrieden. Man darf nicht allzuviel erwarten. Da wir lediglich zum schlafen im Hotel waren, hatten wir auch keine großen Ansprüche.

Depends on whos working the desk...I only say that because the help I received when my phone was stolen (!) was a make or break situation. I thought Christine was awesome - so friendly, speaks 4 languages, and works most of the time. However, she told me that I couldnt use the phone because it only accepted incoming calls. She did not offer the hotel computer, despite seeing tears down my face and cracks in my voice, desperately trying to keep my sanity together. All I needed was to call/email to shut off my phone. Imagine being in a country alone, not knowing the language, and no access to the tools needed to fix a problem.However, it was Daniel/Fatima, the morning team, that came through for me! I told him the same predicament the next morning and Daniel hands over the desk phone. Wait, the phone that only accepts incoming calls? After I called the phone company to report/suspend the phone, it was Fatima that let me use the computer to contact my friends in Spain that I was supposed to meet later that day. Forever grateful!The rooms and bathrooms were clean, the place was quiet, but the breakfast was lackluster. Often times the breakfast wasnt ready by 8am. Im not that demanding but the only offer was hard bread, coffee (hot milk for it and the stale frosted flakes), butter, jelly, and cheese wedges. I would make a butter and jelly sandwich and then pack another for later.

I have waited several days since return before completing review to let my anger subside. We booked about eight weeks before departure. I was slightly surprised to find just one nights money being taken on my card in advance, but didnt think much more about it..When we arrived we went to pay the balance and I presented my card. Oh the machine is not working this afternoon because of the weather, you will have to pay cash. I demurred but it was clear that they would only accept cash, I was even told where the cash machine was. I have a lot of experience of judging people from my career and it was clear to me that this was a scenario played out at every opportunity. It means of course that the hotel avoids the charge they pay on card payments. It also means if like us you budget carefully in terms of Euros bought in advance that you have to pay another currency exchange charge to pay the hotel in cash. I was angry be cause I do not like being taken for a fool. In addition, the manner of the lady working on reception both my wife and I found immensely irritating.If it is cash only then this should advertised in advance. If cards are accepted (there is a cards accepted sign up near reception) then this should honoured even if prices are raised by a few %to cover it..Location is very good for access to the city but property is old and our room was OK but the bathroom needs upgrading. Also property is above cafes and there is no sign downstairs showing the entrance

THE BAD - a big list :-(
* you have to climb stairs :-(
* my room was a pink colour
* the entrance door and the bed is too small & the shower is also too small and cramped ( see pictures )
* the woman at the reception desk was unhelpful regarding attractions in the area and also lacked basic knowledge regarding public services eg train times/locations & bus times/locations etc ???- she also suffers from high anxiety and mood swings
* doors are heavy to open and narrow ??
* noisy building works next door
My Summary
* I would try and find something better next time
* I would not recommend this place :-(

Moeilijk te vinden, niet aangegeven op straat. Wel aardige receptionist, maar publieke badkamers, waarvan de douches kapot waren. Wel een koelkast op de kamer, en de locatie is goed.

Hotel au charme désuet mais propre (en tout cas avec salle de bain dans la chambre), en plein centre ville, au pied de la cathédrale Santa Maria Maior, en centre ville donc surement bruyant l'été mais absolument parfait pour octobre.Très bon rapport qualité prix.

Die Pension liegt genau gegenüber der Kathedrale "Se" und man kann die Alfama zu Fuß erkunden. Unser Zimmer ging nach Süden zum Hof hinaus und es war daher ruhig. Das Haus ist ein eher altes Gebäude, aber sehr schön hergerichtet, die Zimmer sind klassisch portugiesisch möbliert, Das Personal war sehr nett und hat uns unsere Rückflugtickets einfach am Rezeptions-PC ausdrucken lassen und ein Korkenzieher war auch zu leihen :-). Das Frühstück war eher einfach, aber man wurde davon satt. Hier würden wir wieder für einen Zwischenstopp in Lissabon übernachten. Eine klare Empfehlung!

Morgenessen nicht ausreichend, sind dann jeweils in ein Cafe gegangen. Morgens um 7 fahren Mülllaster durch die Strasse und sammeln Glas, obwohl das Fenster und der Rolladen geschlossen waren war es so laut, dass nicht weitergeschlafen werden konnte. Die Betten waren zudem unangenehm um darauf zu liegen.

Booked a room here the day of our stay and arrived at midnight. We specifically booked this hotel because on our booking it said that a double bed was provided. We arrived to be given the only available room which contained two single beds. We brought this issue up with the receptionist who was kind enough to look up from his game of Solitaire after no less than 5 mins to tell us that this was the only available room and that is was our bad luck. Without having a choice to do anything else (1AM) by this stage we slept the night and agreed to email the management. We have since received abusive emails which completely lack customer service care. After asking for a refund we were told that it was our problem that we had chosen to stay even though our booking was fully paid for at the instant of booking. Do not stay at this hotel as the management and customer service of this place need a lesson in how to run a business and satisfy a guests complaints. Any normal management would have looked to help the guest, instead of calling us bad people for complaining within our right after we were given 2 single beds instead of a double. Absolute disgrace and deserve this review to be seen by everyone

Pasamos una noche en esta pensión, en la habitación con mejores vistas. Camas muy muy duras, imposible dormir. Tampoco ayuda el ruido de las calles. En la habitación había utensilios de los anteriores huespedes. Sin papel higiénico en el baño y muy sucio.
El recepcionista de noche durmiendo en el sofá de la recepción y haciendo ruido. La recepcionista de día se puso a hacer fotos desde la ventana en el momento de hacer check in diciendo que nunca había visto las fiestas de St Joao..nosotros tampoco y nos quedanos viendo cómo ella hacía fotos..
Contratan gente rara en esta pensión.
De los peores sitios dónde he estado.

Fawlty Towers. It is extremely cheap and very well situated near to several main sights so you can just head out and explore. However, showers and toilets should be cleaner than they are, and only one of the showers was stocked with soap - in a broken dispenser. Toilet doesnt flush. Its got bad acoustics and the partitions / doors are paper thin so you hear every conversation from your bed. I definitely suggest earplugs. The staff are nice enough.

This hotel is located in an old part of Lisbon but close to bars, Fado, restaurants, and culture. Just a little hard to find and staff are not always available to answer the bell when rung. Breakfast was available but was only continental which doent work with my gluten free requirements. Breakfast place next door was great!

This place is really difficult to find, if you look up you'll see a sign on the 2nd floor of a yellow building, next to the cathedral. The reception is upstairs too, and you get in by buzzing reception from a very unremarkable green door. Look out for the sign as you go up the stairs, we wandered into what looked like a flat!
The place seems clean and fairly comfortable, and the staff seem friendly enough.

A le mérite d'être T Bien située. 40 € la nuit en novembre (av pt dej). Nous avions une chambre côté rue: très bruyante. Le lit était dur. Le personnel peu formé à conseiller le touriste. Bref Moyen Moyen....

My room had a view of the cathedral and a glimpse of the river, and looked out on to restaurants and happy tourists below. I really enjoyed being there, looking out of the window, the feeling of being at the heart of things, and the interesting areas to explore close by. The room was comfortable. It wasnt too noisy most of the time, and I slept well, except for being woken by sudden noises - people talking below outside at 5.30 am, someone upstairs walking noisily up and down on a wooden floor at 4 am.The staff, with one exception, were not particularly welcoming - no smiles or effort. Toilet paper and soap in the communal toilet were not replaced fast enough. I have never before stayed somewhere where the breakfast coffee was rationed to the millilitre.The room was good value, though, and for a couple would have been even better value. And Id stay there again, for the location.

Classic old pension, upstairs. Quiet and safe feeling as it's not easy to find even if you are looking! Free breakfast, help yourself, easy to sort out and nice to chat to other people over breakfast.

Deux nuits en septembre après une première expérience en avril.Toujours beaucoup de bruit dans le quartiers (travaux) et dans le rue.Le personnel qui parlait un peu anglais ou français a disparu et il est difficile de se faire comprendre pour obtenir certains services annoncés.Ne comptez par sur le wifi gratuit annoncé, ce nest valable quà la réception et une ou deux chambres attenantes (donc bruyantes).

To find the place its a little bit tricky and you have to be patience cause its not on a main street and the people we asked didnt know the street that well. Since my US phone dont work in Portugal unless theres Wi-Fi, we had a bit of difficulty finding the place. The location is very good cause most of the things are within walking distance on a very quiet street. Travel with confortable shoes cause no elevator in the property. I believe this is in general for Europe that the ground level floor its the 0 floor and not the 1st floor as in US. So that been said you have to work up a few stairs to get to the 2nd floor cause the apt ceiling are very high. When you look out the window from the 2nd floor it seems that you are on the 3rd floor. A very small but clean room with an improvised very small corner shower and a small sink. Shared bathrooms with a bigger shared shower and toilets also on each floor. The breakfast was very light to say something. Coffee was good but the orange juice was very water-down. Just 1 option of cereal, a few muffins and a bag of bread that you need to open cabinet doors to find it. Most ot the time we were outside the room so the details that am mentioning here didnt really bother us that much. If you want to visit Lisbon and not pay a lot of money in lodging, this is the place you might consider staying.

Die Pension liegt direkt an der Kathedrale von Lissabon und ist damit relativ zentral gelegen. In 5 Minuten erreicht man zu Fuß die Einkaufsstraße sowie die nächste Metro-Station. Zum Kneipen-viertel läuft man allerdings 20 Minuten. Die Pension ist funktional eingerichtet. Es gibt zwei Bäder, für etwa 6 Doppelzimmer und einen Frühstücksraum. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, aber nichts außergewöhnliches, was man bei diesem Preis aber auch nicht erwarten darf. Die Zimmerausstattung ist auch in Ordnung. Bett, Schrank, Waschbecken, Kühlschrank und einen TV. Es gibt einige Restaurants in der Umgebung, aber sonst ist es eine eher ruhigere Wohngegend.

Schöner Aufenthalt, der nur durch zwei extrem laute Engländer gestört wurde. Die FRrühstücksdame könnte bei den Zeiten etwas liberaler sein. Ansonsten komme ich gerne wieder. Tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis!

About a 10 to 15 min walk to a metro stop, if you dont get lost, because its a little hard to find, but not terrible. Near the Sè, and there is a lot to do in the Alfama district. Above a cafe and near a club so easy to ask for directions, even if you dont speak Portuguese. Room is so tiny, but the bed was fine and the water was hot. The breakfast wasnt great, but we didnt go hungry. Great coffee. ..

Basic but comfortable place. Great location with an awesome Café downstairs in the same building. Regarding the price you pay it is a very good deal for your stay in Lisbon.
