Restaurante bem gostoso, e bem localizado no centro. Éramos 4 adultos e um bebê. De entrada pedimos sopa de frutos do mar, que não estava muito boa, e ostras. Os pratos principais foram o robalo na brasa (sensacional!) e cataplana de frutos do mar (muito boa)

Muito bem localizado,serviço atencioso simpático e eficiente! Bons vinhos! Uma boa variedade de pratos comida saborosa,a apresentação é simples sem muito cuidado .uma boa relação custo benefício,pois os pratos são muito bem servidos como os pratos são grandes não vale a pena pedir o couvert,. Pedi uma sapa dr tomate de entrada e estava excelente ! Assim quase não consegui comer o prato principal.

House Red wine was lovely. Starter crab salad was a bit disappointing but the lamb main course more than made up for if. I will be returning to try the lobster it looked unbelievable.

Really good food and nicely presentated. Staff very attentive and professional.
They would have got 5 if it wasn't for the fact that they don't serve tap-water. Lagos have really good water and it's a shame not to serve it to customers who wants it. Especially since the restaurant is on the expensive side.

Very generic, for the price extremely disappointed. Huge Tuna steak, that was not good enough to finish. Go elsewhere, too many good choices elsewhere.

Been going there for 35 years.
Always good value for money and always full!
Would not hesitate to recommend the restaurant which is a traditional Portuguese style.
Fish is there speciality along with fine wines and poets.
The carrot and chorizo dips are a must.

Went here with six friends while vacationing in Lagos. Great food and excellent service. Server was so kind and accommodating. Wide range of dishes on the menu, all delicious. Cute authentic decor- the atmosphere you want while on vacation. Also very reasonable prices- ordered 5 bottles of wine, 5 apps for the table, and an entree each.

Excellent food, a bit higher priced but well worth it. The glass of wine was quite big and of very high quality at only 3,50€. Only minus were the rather stressed out / rushed and slightly inattentive waiters.

Excelente restaurante con una amplia carta de pescados, mariscos y cataplanas. Los camareros son muy atentos y apenas tienes que esperar. La carta de vinos a muy buen precio. Para los que deseen probar la cataplana tiene la opción de pedirla para una sola persona, que si no es de buen apetito pueden comer dos. El resto de restaurantes de la zona para pedir cataplana de marisco tiene que ser mínimo para dos personas.

Essen okay. Fischsuppe leicht versalzen. Brot war frisch aber nichts besonderes. Keine Kräuterbutter. Bei Regen mussten wir (und die anderen Gäste) auf der Straße unter Schirmen essen, obwohl im Haus alles leer war.

Michelin Guide Empfehlung 2018,
sehr professionelles und zuvorkommendes Personal. Wir hatten zwei Fischgerichte, welche fabelhaft geschmeckt hatten. Ein Traum. Jeglicher Fisch wird hier ganz frisch zubereitet. Abgerundet wurde es mit einem traditionellen Algarvedesert und einem Espresso...beises ebenfalls sehr lecker!

Favourite restaurant in Lagos!Always travel from Alvor to go there. Traditional food with a great variety on the menu. The fish is really good, especially the clams and fish soup, also like the 'chicken in a pot'. Even the olives, carrots and breads to begin are delicious. The service is always fantastic, attentive and friendly. The decor is traditional and they have a great selection of wines from their wine celler downstairs. Lovely place to sit outside too with a great atmosphere.

Worst place I ever went. My family and I (5 grown-ups and a child) went there to have soup. After saying that we would like just soup, the waiters started complaining one to the other and one of them came to talk to us again. The guy was very rude and said that they would not serve just the soup and we should leave. I asked what should I order also so I could also have the soup and he just started repeating louder: we don't serve just the soup!!!!! Very impolite and disrespectful. Worst treatment I had in a restaurant in my life.

We where looking for a great place to enjoy the Portuguese seafood. After a while we've arrived at the don Sebastiao. The restaurant that serves great seafood. We ordered shrimps and prawns which were great. The personal was also very friendly and helpful. The food was very quick done which was great, because we where very hungry. With the seafood we ordered white House wine which tasted perfect with the dish. It was a nice experience to eat at Don Sebastiao.

I ordered a 2009 red wine. The bottle arrived with the date scratched off the bottle. Subsequently discovered it was a 2014 vintage. This is NOT acceptable.

Had dinner here last night after noticing it on a previous trip and thinking it looked nice. We couldn’t visit at that time as we were with quite a large group including vegetarians and vegans and like much of the area’s restaurants we noticed our friends might struggle to find something nice to eat here. No bother we came back a few months later and got a table. The restaurant itself certainly looked lovely- quite grand but still traditionally Portuguese. The first waiter who seated us was quite gruff informing us we couldn’t sit outside- only inside. That was fine. We ordered a starter of coquille st. Jacque and decided to share it as we were going for fairly heavy mains. The waiter scoffed when we said we were sharing it and it wasn’t until it arrived that we understood why. One scallop arrived for ten euros. The sauce was tasty but I have eaten at much nicer places and paid less for more. From this point all but one of the waiters became increasingly rude and difficult for us to get any attention to refill our drinks etc. We had ordered the slow cooked kid in wine and pork fillet with figs. The kid was great. It was served in a terracotta pot, had a delicious flavourful sauce and fell apart as it had been cooked so long. It was perhaps a little tiny bit dry but when covered in the yummy sauce was forgivable. The pork with figs however was absolutely disgusting. Not a fig to be seen just very thin, very over cooked and extremely dry and chewy slices of pork in a very sweet almost almond flavour sauce that had split and was more reminiscent of a satay sauce than anything to do with figs. It was also served with chips which is a shame and some quite nicely charred vegetables while the kid was served with boiled potatoes and no vegetables apart from a couple of carrots in the pot. The staff were so rude we decided not to linger and get a bottle of wine but rather down a beer and leave and go somewhere friendly asap. It was very strange that the staff seemed to be quite pleasant to other customers showing them to the door and even smiling occasionally. Not sure what happened to our service- maybe because we were young or the wrong nationality or they simply didn’t like the look of us but it was quite clear by how we were spoken to so gruffly, forgotten about so completely and ignored entirely that there was something about the cut of our jib they didn’t like. Rather wish we had read the bad reviews on trip advisor first (there are plenty) as these were really indicative of our visit. We visit the area around three times a year, more if possible and suffice to say for average to poor food and horrible service we shan’t be returning.

Wir waren in der Nebensession in Lagos. Wir wollten frischen Fisch essen weswegen wir uns für dieses Restaurant entschieden.
Schon an der Tür hat uns der Kellner mit kritischem Auge gemustert.
Die Speisekarte war reich an Fischgerichten jeglicher Art, leider aber sehr unübersichtlich. Von vielen Speisen (Meeresfrüchte ect.) standen nur Kilopreise in der Karte.
Da meine Freunde und ich uns nicht sicher waren wie wir bestellen sollten, baten wir um eine Empfehlung und Hilfe. Der Kellner war sehr unfreundlich und hat keine Anstalten gemacht uns den Ablauf der Bestellung zu erklären. Als Beispiel wollten wir wissen, kann man nach Gramm bestellen oder muss es ein mindest Gewicht sein, oder wie es mit den Beilagen gehandhabt wird.
Der Kellner antwortete sehr Ablehnend ausschließlich mit ja und nein antworten... keine Erläuterung oder Ähnliches. Dabei bin ich mir sicher dass er englisch sprechen kann in solch einer Touri Gegend. Er ließ uns dann stehen. Ich versuchte einen zweiten Anlauf bei einem anderen Kellner. Auch dieser schaute uns nur Abschätzig an nach dem Motto „was wollt ihr denn hier, könnt ihr euch so ein Essen überhaupt leisten“ JAAA hätten wir gerne, wäre der Service nur ein bisschen freundlicher und Hilfsbereiter gewesen.
Wie haben dann nach 15 min Ignoriert werdens, oder unfreundlicher Patzerei das Restaurant verlassen ohne etwas zu essen. Da gebe ich lieber mein Geld in einem Lokal aus dass freundlicher und Kundenorientierter ist. Welches bemüht ist ihre Gäste zufrieden zu stellen.

Très bon restaurant, dans une rue piétonne touristique on s'attend pas à manger si bien. Bien sûr si on veut du bon marché c'est pas dans la rue la plus touristique de la ville touristique ! Service bien organisé, TOUT fut très bon et surtout bien frais: le poisson, la brochette bien cuits exactement comme il faut. Les légumes étaient bons aussi tout comme les desserts. Tout ça dans un cadre rustique.

Inmiddels een aantal keren bezocht. De inrichting is niet ieders smaak, de kwaliteit van de gerechten is zonder meer goed en de bediening correct. Verrassend in een toeristische omgeving. Een aanrader.

Ordentliches Restaurant - Meeresfrüchte Risitto bestand aber lediger fast nur aus Reis und Hummerfüßen mit Schale, Meeresfrüchte Eintopf bestand fast ausschließlich aus Muschelschalen und Zwiebeln. Schade - der Geschmack war eigentlich gut. Für einen Preis von je 20€ kann man jedoch ein paar Meeresfrüchte erwarten.

Best restaurant in Lagos with very friendly staff and an impressive menu, especially highest quality fresh seafood and an even more impressive wine cellar. Very popular but worth the wait. In case you have to queue, be assured waiters are very helpful to find a table for you as soon as possible if you let them know. Went back there many times and were never disappointed.

Lovely place but their dishes don't match to how nice the place looks. Kitchen is in mass production mode I think. Food we had was not tasty at all (tofu with rice and veggies), silk tofu didn't suit in that dish and rice was just plain old tasteless rice, not even salted. (This place had something called Michelin..)
For this dish which I could easily make a way tastier one at home without much cooking skills, they charge 14 euros.
Summary. You pay for their rent, decorations and number of employees to meet the demand(!?). Not for the taste.

Les serveurs ont l’air fatigué dans ce restaurant j’y suis allée plusieurs fois pour manger une gaufre ou une crêpe et à chaque fois c’était le même accueil personne ne lève la tête, pas de sourire. Lorsqu’on s’installe à l’intérieur on attend qu’on vienne nous demander ce qu’on veut prendre et comme personne ne vient et bien on se lève au stand de crêpe et gaufre pour faire notre commande et se rasseoir. Pareil pour l’addition. En gros le service laisse a desirer mais les gaufres et le milkshake à la mûre c’est juste une tuerie

This was our favorite dining experience so far in Lagos. Service was impeccable, prices reasonable for being in the turístic center. Definitely recommend the curried chicken and mussels, some of the best we've had in Portugal, if not the world! Will be back!

I strongly do not recommend. Very mean service. First they promise a place, then they chase the guests with very naughty gestures in an almost aggressive way. I do not know if the owner agrees to that kind of treatment of tourists who are able to spend some euro for a good dinner and are not just looking for "chicken salad." Overrated place. There are many more decent restaurants in Lagos. I strongly do not recommend.

Excellent choice of fresh fish. Lovely location in the old town, gets very hot at lunchtime.
The tank of live crabs is a bit sad, they could do with a bit more space, maybe some exercise! Prices are quite steep, but it's a higher calibre establishment.

Vielseitige Karte. Exzellenter Fisch, Meeresfrüchte und noch mehr. Für jeden etwas dabei.
Sehr liebevoll angerichtet und sehr sehr freundliche Ober. Nicht aufdringlich aber dennoch sehr zuvorkommend.
Kein Problem wenn man sich etwas länger überlegt, ob man den Hummer nimmt oder etwas anderes (habe mich dann natürlich für den Hummer entschieden und hätte jede andere Entscheidung bereut ).
Sehr positiv: Fisch und Meeresfrüchte werden zum Teil in KG-Preisen angeboten. Nach der Bestellung werden die Stücke am Tisch gezeigt und der Preis angegeben. Man erlebt somit keine Überraschung bei der Endrechnung.
Die Dessert sind ebenso ein Knaller.
Nach der Bestellung des "Abschlussschnäpchens" kommt der Ober an den Tisch mit mehreren Flaschen. Nachdem man sich entschieden hat wird am Tisch sehr wohlwollend eingeschenkt (Der portugiesische Brandy ist ein Traum).
Ein perfekter Abend - wir haben sofort nochmals reserviert.

Really enjoyed the avocado and shrimp starter and the sea bass filet for the main course! They have an excellent selection of wines. We booked a table for two a few hours in advance and by that time it was almost fully booked for the evening. The staff was quite busy and quick but did however make time to go through the different choices of wine and food upon us asking. I do think they could make the portions a bit smaller, we were quickly quite full!

Lovely place overall, except a waiter whom I was told is a like a manager. He knocked over my wine glass during meal and made one brief apologize that was more along the line of "oops". Accidents happen, yet, maybe I am wrong, I thought I was due a proper apology for my soaked pants and purse. When I later spoke to another waiter about the experience as he was asking my opinion, the manager came back pretty much with "I said sorry" attitude and left before we even finish talking. Great food and awesome staff but will not come back. Plus, I had to pay for my wine that was knocked over.

Absolutely delicious traditional Portuguese dishes. From outside this restaurant reminds me of Van Gogh's painting Night cafe. And it is so pleasant to have a meal there. There is a lot to choose from the menu and from the wine list!

tengo que decir que yo comí aquí un día que llovía y había mucha gente. El personal fue normal ni bien ni mal, correctos. La comida que pedimos estaba buena y bien presentada, estaba rica.El precio me pareció caro . Esta en una calle de tiendas muy animada. . Si entras dentro se ve un restaurante "de lujo" Los baños son muy bonitos. En resumen comí poco, caro pero rico y bien presentado.

Wir haben an 2 Tagen hier gegessen, weil es einfach nur gut ist. Wir haben die Cataplana mit Muscheln und Garnelen probiert, weiters auch die Spaghetti mit den Meeresfrüchten und den Fleischspieß und es war alles sehr sehr gut. Alles sehr frisch und gut gewürzt.

Good fish, but plain and tasteless bread and flavourless thin soup. I had the carrot and ginger soup which barely tasted of either.
Nice interior and competent staff.
Would recommend if the fish is what you are after. Suitable for medium groups.

I am so disappointed in the service and food. My 82 year mother spends the majority of her time here at her holiday home in Lagos. I have been coming her for nearly 20 years...today she wanted to treat me so brought me to Don Sebastião.
If I can give any advice...there are so many amazing restaurants in this area, with wonderful staff, give this place a miss...it just not worth the money !
To give you an example....we were told we had to order as the kitchen staff were finishing...I was struggling to find something as I only eat white meat (I appreciate this is difficult in Europe) anyway, we were told to choose... ten minutes later they seated another couple and served them...another 10 mins and they seated another couple and served them too!!!
I was fuming now as I’d rushed reading the menu...
When they cleared our plates I asked the waiter why we had been rushed...he just said the kitchen staff decided to stay...
Wish I’d known, I could have read the menu!
I can only say that the service was poor, really poor!
To be fair Mum enjoyed her fish and she did say it was excellent; my tofu was tasteless and cold....I can only describe it as inedible.
I seriously recommend that you avoid this restaurant, there are so many fabulous places, with fabulous staff and delicious food.

Really bad food. A typical touristic trap with overpriced meals. We asked for a Linguado a meunière and it was the worst fish I’ve ever tried in my life. Not because of the quality of the meat, no. But preparation was just so bad I couldn’t eat even though it costed almost 20€. It seemed they tried to cook the fish in cold oil and without any seasoning in the fish. Just terrible. The tofu vegetarian dish was also really badly cooked and tasted like nothing. Grilled Dourado fish tasted better though so if you still would like to try this restaurant, pay 20€ for this one. I would forgive it if it wasn’t extremely expensive but, c’mon, for this price I expected something decent.

Great restaurant. Felt very authentic and the food was amazing! I got the grouper fish and it was perfect. Desserts were incredible too, very typical Portuguese cuisine would definitely recommend.
Toilets were down in what looked like a wine cellar, little difficult to find but once you get there they’re very clean.

I absolutely loved this place in Lagos. Sitting outside on a cold November afternoon, I had some really nice hot soup and watched people walk by. The service is great, the food is pretty good, I can definitely recommend the lasagna. The pricing is decent too, and the inside also seems cozy.

Este lugar es fantástico, comida excelente, camareros muy simpáticos. Y lo importante, 53 euros entre 4 personas. Hemos pedido dos cataplanas (pescado y marisco) 4 cervezas grandes (3,70 cada uno) y pan (1 euro). Comida típica y sobre todo, no cuesta muy caro si sabes que pedirte.
El sitio es característico por dentro pero tiene terraza.

Service was good and the wine list is affordable and extensive. But the food was terrible... The crab salad was served in a scoped tomato and tasted like onion only, it felt like it had been in the fridge for a few days. The scallops were cooked nicely but served on a huge bed of mushy, overcooked purple cabbage. The black pork cheeks were incredibly sweet... All very disappointing, outdated and pricey.

No es muy barato pues está en una zona turística, sin embargo, vale la pena probar algo del exquisito y típico menú.
Si eres turista extranjero, te aviso que en todos los restaurantes de Portugal cobran el pan y la mantequilla que parece de cortesía pero NO lo es.

The best restaurant in Lagos, end of October they are full when most others are nearly empty, The food is great, the waiters are friendly and engaging. Try the fish soup! The couvert with the flaming sausage is also not to be missed! The Algarve veal in a pot with Parma Ham and crisp potatoes was our favourite! Tease them about their selection of vintage ports to try!
I always expect to find an “asp” in the wicker basket full of figs and almonds that they bring you at the end, so far I got lucky!!
The complimentary golf ball is to be treasured “if you can” !

La comida excelente el lenguado simplemente espectacular los mejillones de alta calidad también igual que el vino. El personal conoce perfecto la carta y te pueden explicar el contenido y la preparación de todo. Solo no le pongo las cinco estrellas michelin porque el precio me pareció ligeramente caro , pero creo que eso es mas bien porque yo soy pobre. Excelente lugar...!!

Ho mangiato 2 volte consecutive in questo ristorante e lo consiglio vivamente, l’unico rammarico è che abbiamo trovato posto solo verso la fine della vacanza, ma da allora non lo abbiamo più mollato. Buen sitio para comer y buen servicio en mesa. Precio normal...., mejillones, ensalada, vieira gratinada, copa de vino, refresco, pan y 2 patés = 50€. Lo que nos pareció más caro fue la vieira que eran 11€ cuando en Madrid la tomamos igual de rica por 6-7 euros, pero en general salimos satisfechos. Es un sitio que recomendaría (merece la pena echar un ojo a la bodega con olor a antiguo que hay junto a los baños)

Die Fischkataplana fad, ohne Pep!. Weinkarte und Service sind okay. Auf die Michelin Bewertung ist auch kein Verlass mehr. Das schlechteste Essen unserer Reise.

He intentado comer en 2 ocasiones durante el fin de semana sin éxito y a pesar de tener más de la mitad de las mesas libres con el cartel de reservado, éstas no se ocuparon en la siguiente hora, puesto que me quedé a almorzar en el restaurante de al lado y pude comprobarlo. Posteriormente llegó gente sin reserva y vi como si pudieron sentarse. Me pregunto si el camarero tendría algún tipo de prejuicio.

Ich bin in dieser Welt wirklich rum gekommen und muss sagen: (Sehr) gutes Essen, sehr schlechter Service. Darum nur 2 Punkte. Warum schlechter Service? 28 Minuten und einer direkten Aufforderung bis überhaupt zur Getränkebestellung. Keine Entschuldigung oder Klarstellung! Weitere 30 Minuten bis zur Essenbestellung. Der Tisch neben uns kam 15 min später wurde sofort bedient. Ich fühlte mich als Gast 2er Klasse. Als gut gekleideter und bis dahin gut gelaunter Gast erwarte ich eine professionelle Behandlung. Weit gefehlt. Es geht so weiter. Meine Frau und ich sprechen englisch, spanisch, italienisch, französisch, russisch und ein paar brocken portugiesisch. Hilft alles nichts. Weingläser werden abgeräumt die Nachbestellung wird erst auf Nachdruck gebracht. Die gereichten Karten sind dreckig etc etc etc. Vielleicht hab ich nur pech gehabt. Ein "Desculpe" wäre alle mal Wert gewesen. Kam aber nicht. Schade? Ne! Das ist frech oder ignorant! Deswegen nur 2 Punkte trotz des guten Essens.

Only one star because there is no option for a zero. The most rude and unhelpful manager. Tried to book a table on Monday for a Wednesday lunch time only to be told we could only book up to 1 pm but we had things to do in the morning. Turned up to the place at 2.25 to be told that there were no tables outside and we couldn't eat indoors as that closed at 3.00pm. Tried to explain that we had waited two years for this special day (my wifes 60th birthday). Totally unsympathetic unhelpful an rude. Cannot recommend and will never try to eat there again. Don't even try their email address to book as that just bounces back. Tried this several times from England.

La comida excelente. Hace dos días pedimos cataplana y fue excelente. Hoy hemos comido arroz de marisco y exquisito. Mi novio se pidió un plato de ostras en las que venían 6 por 13 euros (barato). El servicio muy amable. Lo recomiendo mucho. Tened cuidado si pedís arroz que viene bastante!!!

We ordered 3 couverts: instead of the carrots we ordered we got olives, the bread was stale and the supposedly "grilled" chorizo turned out to be flambéd on our table where the server left it, without explanation, to burn for 10 minutes, with no way of putting out the fire without it becoming a fire hazard. It resulted in the chorizo becoming charcoaled and only tasting of burnt alcohol, rather than sausage - totally inedible.
For the main dishes we got an empty warm plate, that by the time the dish arrived was cold. The main fish dishes we took were fairly good, but by no means exceptional. The supposed fillet was full of bones.
It's clear they try to make the restaurant look fancy, which the prices reflect, but the execution fails horribly. There are many places in Lagos with better food, prices and service.

Excellent. Didn't manage to get a table on Saturday. But Monday at 7pm was much easier.
Waiters were friendly and polite considering how busy it was there.
Food was excellent. We had sea bass fillets, not cheap at €17 But they tasted amazing.
Overall quite pricey for other mains as they vary with weight, but the quality was worth it.

Llegamos en el último momento para cenar, de hecho vimos como le decían que no a algunas personas que llegaron detrás, serían las 22:00, más o menos.
La comida muy rica, pescado fresco, te lo enseñan antes de cocinarlo. Nos comimos unos lenguados riquísimos.
El servicio espectacular, algo serio, pero profesionales de la hostelería. Cambio de cubiertos y platos, un restaurante de mesa y mantel de toda la vida.
El precio está bastante bien, teniendo en cuenta la calidad del producto y del servicio.

Very fancy nice place. Came here to cross Lobster of my bucket list and left pleasantly satisfied.
I came in just before the tables started filling up and was placed in the back corner of the outdoor seating area which was out of everyone's way but still could see everything that was going on. I ordered Gazpacho for my started with some bread and butter, boiled lobster for my main and the Hawaii Cup for desert. The waiter let me choose my own lobster from the tank, weighed it and made sure I was satisfied with the size of it followed by taking him to the kitchen to be prepared.
One thing I will say if you're ordering fresh Lobster for the first time is to make sure you have a starter or something to nibble on whilst you wait for the Lobster to be cooked as it does take it's time but is worth it.
The gazpacho, bread and butter arrived first within good time and was deliciously refreshing. I spent the whole day out in the sun hiking through the cliffs on the coast of Lagos and it was exactly what I needed. The coolness of the blended tomato mixed with the refreshing taste of cucumber and hint of fresh onion was exactly what was needed to cool me down. After finishing my starter I didn't realise how long it takes to cook a Lobster so I ended up munching on most of my bread and butter however the local street performer was great entertainment with his amazing performance of some songs. Just before the lobster arrived I was given the tools, a variety of three sauces (prawn cocktail, piri piri and mayo) and a plate for the shell with a single packaged wet wipe. Once the lobster arrived it was dished on a plate full of lettuce, tomato slices, a whole raddish and a choice of lemon or lime for flavouring and to my surprise was precut in half. I am unsure whether this was because one of the waiters has seen me watching videos on how to eat a lobster during my wait (another great tip for first timers) or whether it always comes like this but it did kind of take the fun away from having a hack at it myself, either way it was delicious and it was great to taste how each and every part of the lobster tastes different from the rest. As I was having a hack at finishing off nearly a whole kg of lobster by myself the waiter came over to change my shell plate as it was getting full which is a nice touch as the pile didn't fall and go everywhere. After finishing the whole thing off, the table was cleared and I ordered my dessert which was huge (not complaining) and as I was slowly getting through it all on my already full stomach, I felt a bit rushed by one of the waiters as they were getting busy and I guess they needed the table. Either way besides that last hiccup at the end, I would definitely recommend coming here as all of the food that other tables have ordered looked amazing and my dishes tasted great too.

Cozy restaurant in Lagos city center. The fish is picked freshly by you and tastes amazing. I highly recommend the fish soup. One of the best Portuguese dishes. We had swordfish and robalo as well. What a choice! Be sure to book a table beforehand in order to avoid waiting lines. The only downside was the starters, we didn’t enjoy them.

Average food and service in a fancy restaurant. I've ordered pork chopsticks with figs and my husband some fish without cilantro(mentioned three times). The pork chopsticks were overcooked and the fish came with cilantro, obviously they forgot. Not trying again this place.

Immer noch ein Geheimtipp. Seid 20 Jahren ein Anlaufpunkt für gutes Essen und fast perfekten Service. Immer ein paar Tage vorab reservieren. Tipp: Zweitbestes Steak an der Algarve. Wer auf eine außergewöhnliche Flasche Wein wert legt einfach mal Nachfragen und ab in den Weinkeller.

Si vous souhaitez partager un repas traditionnel portugais, il faut faire le détour par ce petit restaurant.
Si vous souhaitez faire un repas comme en France, passez votre chemin, vous serez déçus.
Pourquoi cette introduction à ma notation, pour tous les touristes qui ne sont pas capables de faire l'effort de consommer, vivre comme les habitants du pays dans lequel ils sont, et malheureusement j'ai pu constater qu'ils sont très nombreux.
Pour ceux qui sont capables de s'adapter au pays, les habitants, les commerçants, les petits marchands dans les marchés se feront un plaisir de vous faire découvrir leurs spécialités, leur façon de travailler, de vivre quotidiennement.
Un très grand merci à ce restaurateur de nous avoir permis de découvrir un peu plus la cuisine traditionnelle portugaise.

Everyone in my group thoroughly enjoyed their dishes! Two pork dishes, one sole, and one cataplana fish dish. Great place - ambience is great, servers are great, wine selection is great!! Must visit if you are in Lagos!!!

We came back on our second evening at Lagos, because we liked the food so much. We had both a tuna steak and some other fish dishes...all very good! Friendly staff - the are always well visited, being early (17:30) or reserve a table is a good idea. The prices are more than ok for the quality and the service, so I can just recommend it for a meal! :)

I had high expectations when I arrived since it was recommended in the Rick Steves travel guide, but I found it subpar for the most part. We were the only ones there and perhaps that was part of it. There was too much sauce on the tropical fish dish and it overpowered the quality of the fish. The location is in a great spot and our waiter was courteous, but I would try somewhere else that might offer better quality seafood.

Great seafood restaurant - one meant for a fancier occasion. Staff were very nice. One of the defining features of the restaurant is your waiter showing you the fish to help you decide; however, as we ordered too quickly, we never afforded that opportunity. I'd suggest you ask if you'd like to get the full experience.

One of the best meals we have ever enjoyed and certainly the top meal in Portugal. The service is excellent,perfectly timed to allow full pleasure. Wine was lovely and the small bottle of champagne we had to begin with was also excellent. I had the Arroz de Mariscos and the flavours amazed me. The abundance of shellfish in the stew was remarkable. The couvert was delicious and generous and we even made room for a great dessert. The ambiance of the dining room will please all diners as would the outdoor patio. Reserve this restaurant if you are in Lagos. We loved it.

Purtroppo ho avuto anche delle esperienze non piacevoli.La carta del menu che era esposta fuori dal ristorante non corrispondeva con la carta che c'era dentro ed ovviamente avrei pagato molto di più di quello che avrei pensato prima . Le porzioni sono molto scarse. Visto cosi,ci siamo alzati e andati via e non ci ritornerò mai più.

This restaurant is amazing! It was so good that we came back again the next day. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable about the food and the restaurant has a great ambiance. We came to Lagos in the off season and this was one of the only nice restaurants open, and was still a fair price. They come and present the catches of the day to you on a platter and you can decide which fish you'd like to eat. There are also many other wonderful seafood and meat dishes here. The Portuguese steak and the filet steak were also delicious. Overall this is a must go to restaurant in Lagos, but make sure you make a reservation!

Ik had een menu besteld. Toen kwam men voor het wachten brood en kaas en boter enz en olijven brengen. Toen gegeten, maar toen kwam de rekening. Een tegenvaller brood en olijven en boter enz stond apart vermeld ook op de rekening dus flink duurder dan verwacht. Dus let op met aangeboden voorafjes !!!!!!!

Food is good (four stars) but the service is 2stars at best. Unfriendly, unwelcoming and stuck up waiters. Great shame the service is so poor otherwise it be a real gem. We couldn't believe They kept turning people away as if it was a Michelin Star restaurant when the tables remained empty.

Un lugar excelente con una comida de calidad, un precio perfecto pero una atencion un poco especial. El camarero nos ofrecio como plato un pez espada que nos mostro con una frescura increible, decidimos pedirlo pero al cabo de la hora no llego ese plato pero si la cuenta con el pez espada incluido. Se recomienda ir pero con cuidado de la memoria o "cara" de los camareros.

Hemos estado un par de veces aqui y nos ha gustado bastante. El primer día pedimos un par de pizzas que no estaban nada mal. El 2° unos calamares y una cataplana de rape y también muy bien. Los camareros son rapidos y eficientes.

I can't fault our experience. I had one of the fish of the day which was fresh tuna. Lightly cooked (my request ) with an onion and tomato sauce. The chosen piece of fish was brought to the table first to approve the price and size.
My partner had pigs cheeks with sweet potato mash. We have eaten this often but have never tasted it prepared like this. Subtle but beautiful taste of cinnamon spice.
We were asked if we wanted the couvert to start ( usually some bread and tuna paté is plonked on the table only to find that it cost €3 each )
Included with the bread , olives, liver patè and carrots was a flaming bowl of chorizo in grappa. Sensational!
We shared 6 plump oysters as our starter and could barely keep our eyes open for the 10 minute uphill walk home.
We shall return to this restaurant.

Está bien se come a gusto en la terraza tiene de todo (mucha variedad tanto de carne como pescado) por esa zona hay muchos restaurantes. Lagos es el pueblo más bonito del Algarve me recuerda a Tarifa.

Highly recommended this place. A lovely upscale restaurant with very good food, polite & professional staff and a reasonable price list. It's clean and very popular so expect a small wait if you don't reserve a table. Food is delish & presented very well and the place itself is located right on a busy pedestrian street so there is lots of people, hustle, music & atmosphere to enjoy if you decide to sit outside. 10/10 on food & service though.
