In the past I took group classes with Sara and currently I take Skype classes which is working our very well. I have tried out other teachers and schools in Lisbon and Sara is one of the best. She is very good at gauging the level of the class and keeps the momentum in class by introducing different techniques. I would recommend Saudade Language School to anyone looking for a school.

I came from Madrid to Lisbon to complete a Portuguese course at this school and I am glad I did so. To find teacher Estefânia at "Saudade Language School" was a big pleasant surprise. Estefânia did not only teach us Portuguese language – she also shared with us the profound knowledge and passion she has towards Portuguese culture and history. She explained to us details regarding the city of Lisbon, its gastronomy and sightseeing. She also described to us the historic evolution of words from ‘Galego-português’ to ‘Português’ – to a Spanish language speaker like me, it is an honour to receive such a comprehensive explanation. Moreover, she was able to transmit efficiently the day to day life of Portuguese citizens and she introduced terms, which were completely new to me and which have been very useful in social interactions with locals. For example, the name which has been associated to people who are originally from the city of Lisbon (i.e. “alfacinhas”). Estefânia’s teachings were always filled with great sense of humour, which made the Portuguese language learning process fun! I also appreciate other teachers' (e.g. Dora’s) kind attention when registering in the school, which demonstrated the team’s high level of professionalism (which was also reflected in the excellent organisation of the school’s weekly cultural activity). I wish I could have stayed longer in the school, but I was unable to do so, due to my tight schedule. Nevertheless, from my experience, I am able to say that, in comparison to other language centres I have attended in the past, “Saudade” is a young, energetic and dynamic language school, with teachers who denote great passion for what they do :).

It`s a very good and lovely school, with a familiar atmosphere. I learned with Sara, who is an excellent teacher and very engaged, you learn in small groups and there are a lot of activities organized outside of the school. I can highly recommend Saudade Language School if you`re searching for a place to learn Portuguese in Lisbon.

We visited the intensive courses in this summer, which were really entertaining and fun! our language skills improved really fast and it was fun at the same time. The classes don’t get boring and you get to have a lot of conversation with the people in the school, which not only improves your language skills, but also teaches you a lot about the Portuguese culture and the city of Lisbon at the same time. All in all it was a great experience

I was supper lucky to have found sara from this school to teach me portugues. Her way of teaching is light and intense at the same time. Its alot of fun during the aulas and its not just a teacher - student class. But more you end up having a friend that teaches you the language. Muito obrigado pelas aulas!

It has been amazing studying Portuguese with Estêfania. I started as a complete beginner and I have studied with her for a couple of years. I enjoyed it so much! Every lesson was a full immersion in the Portuguese language and culture. Always fun and motivating, with a keen eye for student's need and a very welcoming atmosphere. Besides experiencing that my Portuguese language skills are improving every day, I really enjoy the topics of conversations in our classes. Classes are both personal and challenging, which keeps me motivated to learn this difficult language.

It was a lot of fun learning Portuguese with Estefânia, Dora and Sara! I started from zero and enjoyed each lesson I took. I was lucky enough to attend classes with all three teachers, and it was always worth it. Probably the Best Portuguese Teachers in Lisbon! I have had so may lessons in the past where the teachers arrive for the lesson completely unprepared! At Saudade Language School I was initially surprised to see that the teacher had prepared a detailed lesson plan for each of my lessons. After just a few lessons, I really started to reap the benefits of this approach. The improvement in my Portuguese has been noticeable to everyone. I tried couple of private teachers and schools in Lisbon to learn Portuguese. After a certain level it was really hard to concentrate to my lessons. After my friend's recommendation I choose Saudade language school and the vibe of the school is so motivating ! They take care of each student and finding the best level for you. It's hard to find a school who will follow your process and will find the best fit for you. Teachers are very experienced and doing their best for us to feel confident with the language. Besides the class you will have different opportunities to learn Portuguese like cultural, historic, artistic activities in Portuguese. Highly recommend it !

Great lessons with Sara - well planned, fun and always aimed at strengthening existing knowledge and filling in gaps. As a teacher it is great to be taught by someone who is attentive to your needs but that also figures out the kind of learning that you enjoy - Sara does just that. Highly recommended!
