I'm late with this review as we were there 5 years ago, with this virus and all holidays being cancelled I'm looking through old photos and I remembered this place, I promised the waiter I'd leave him a review so here it is, brilliant, amazing, so good, we visited 3 times and our last night my wife had lobster, we had a drink with the head waiter at the end of the evening, like me he loved brandy and we shared a drink together. In short, a hidden gem.

Perfect for couples, relaxed atmosphere with lovely staff. Couldn't do enough to make sure we had a wonderful meal. We had the sea bass which was fabulous.

Muy buen trato aclara muy bien dudas sobre que trae y como hace el plato que pidas relacion calidad-precio-cantidad muy bueno.Los platos bien abundantes buena presentacion y muy ricos puede parecer caro cuando miras la carta pero luego comprobaras que no es asi lo recomiendo y cuando vuelva por el algarve sin ninguna duda repetire.

Patron très accueillant, parlant français
Personnel souriant et serviable.
Poisson très frais et variés, bonne cuisine.
Nous sommes arrivés à 40 min de la fermeture et nous avons été servi comme si il était 12hr, admirable et rare de nos jour.
De plus l'addition n'a pas été prohibitive.

Accueil chaleureux patron amoureux de son métier service agréable le repas était préparé avec des produits frais je recommande ce restaurant

Lovely meal and great staff. Freshly grilled seabass was a delight and waiter's knowledge of wine was impressive. Recommend.

Lieu agréable avec une très bonne cuisine. Les lulas sont un régal et nous avons beaucoup aimé la cataplana de peixe.

Disappointed by unfriendly staff and pretty much the worst meal I've had in Portugal in the last 30 years of coming here. Chicken dry and the salad (which was vegetables) clearly scooped from another meal. Really nasty. Nice decor and location, has potential, let down by the food and staff though :(
Reply to Owner's response below: Not looking for an argument. However, we asked for Chicken Piri Piri on the breast and the answer was yes. So maybe that is why it was so poor.

Lovely place to chill and have a leisurely meal. Staff very friendly. There is a fresh fish fridge where you can choose your fish. Good wine list at a reasonable price. Prawn kebab fantastic.

Restaurante de beira de estrada, a nível de qualidade e preço extremamente caro. Falta de profissionalismo dos empregados e muito antipaticos. Não recomendo.

Preisleistung mangelhaft. Piripiri Hähnchen trocken und ohne Piripiri. Schwein und Lamm Finger weg. Getränkepreise wie am Flughafen. Personal sehr freundlich, dafür einen Stern, sonst gäbe es keinen

Wouldn't recommend. Went here for drinks and waiter charged us €40 for 2 gins and 2 pints. I questioned it and he said that 2 gins were €35. Our partners went the following day and the same waiter charged them €20 for 2 gins. The only thing they were missing were masks and stripy jumpers! Thieves!
P.s. waiter had a terrible hair cut to match his attitude.

Preço demasiado alto para a qualidade apresentada (típico do Algarve no verão, infelizmente).

Lovely staff and good food. A bit expensive, specially when you ask for the fish by Kilo. It looks like you get less compared to what you pay. But it was my fault anyways that I didn't ask to weight it before hand.
Sangria with white wine is fabulous!

Restaurante de beira de estrada, com apresentação a condizer. Comecei por pedir umas lulas à algarvia. Foi informado que não recomendavam pois o último lote encomendado tinha vindo com areia. Foi então para a cataplana de peixe. Um pouco fraca dado que apenas tinha um tipo de peixe, meia dúzia de camarões e outra meia dúzia de amêijoas. Em termos de sabor também não era nada de especial. O staff era educado mas pouco simpático. Paguei pela cataplana 48€. NÃO RECOMENDO.

La carne Chateaubriant está muy buena además de venir acompañada de salsa y entremeses muy ricos. Y el camarero es un encanto. :)

Food was very tasty, great quality, very good varied menu with something for everyone. Good value, great value lunch for three people with drinks was under thirty euros. Lovely server too.

Probably wrong day to eat but service was horrible. They did all orders wrong and I had to mention 3 times that I was vegan but they kept messing up my order. Other than that, good food!

Bem, foi uma visita muito breve, lugar muito característico onde se tem que esperar 20 minutos só para ter acesso ao menu. Ótimo teste de paciência, Não recomendado.

Probably best to avoid. Nice wine, staff very friendly and adult meals good. BUT kids served undercooked fishfingers (which were replaced with an apology) and what looked like a pre-frozen pizza.
