Bei unserem Städtetrip nach Lissabon sind wir hier gestrandet. Zum Glück!
Besser geht nicht! Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.
Wir haben soooo lecker gegessen wie die ganzen Tage vorher nicht. Das Lokal ist so gemütlich und individuell eingerichtet und es macht echt Spaß hier zu verweilen. Wir erhielten sogar einen "Homemade choco mousse" gratis zum Probieren! Das Lokal befindet sich etwas höher gelegen und ist über einige Treppen erreichbar. Es gibt Aussensitzplätze. Allerdings hat uns der Wind zu schaffen gemacht. Der Kellner hat uns zeitnah einen frei gewordenen Platz innen angeboten was wir sofort genutzt haben. Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit im Cafe Buenos Aires. DANKE für einen der schönsten Momente in unserer Städtereise:-))

Toller Service und aufmerksames Personal.
Man kann sowohl im Außenbereich (schöne Aussicht Richtung Castello), als auch drinnen sitzen. Das Essen war anstandslos lecker und der Wein ebenfalls.

Totalmente decepcionante. Supongo que mis amigos y yo, personas ya de mas de 40 años, pareciamos demasiado turistas para cenar en el restaurante de la calle Duque donde habiamos reservado y nos llevaron sin consultar a la zona de “turistas” en otro local en la escalinata.
Alli es donde amontonan a los extranjeros en mesas diminutas donde no te caben las piernas. Y lo peor todo esto, por el mismo precio que en el principal.
Ibamos recomendados por una amiga, cliente habitual de este restaurante, me dijo que dijera que ibamos de su parte pero no me gusta utilizar este tipo de cosas para tener mejor servicio que otras personas.
Todos pagamos lo mismo y el servicio debe ser de la misma calidad.
A parte del trato pesimo, que es lo primero que recibes, la comida decepcionante al mismo nivel que el trato o peor.
Pedimos un ceviche para compartir, era basicamente 5 trozos de pescado, sobre endivias, y lo demás todo un engaño, trozos de manzana, piña, maiz...todo menos lo importante y nuclear de un buen ceviche.
Despues ya que se trata de un restauran Argentino, probamos la carne, su especialidad, pedimos tira y vacio, al punto y poco hecho, la tira estaba muy rica aunque de punto pasada( para nada poco hecha como la pedi) y el vacio no tenia sabor, supongo que por ser descongelado, pierde jugos en cuanto se cocina.
Lo que mas siento es tener que decirle a mi amiga que su recomendacion no nos gusto mucho, pero no por ella por supuesto sino porque hay un trato diferencial y queda demasiado patente.

Local agradável embora muito barulhento. Muito boa comida, no entanto devido ao tamanho reduzidíssimo das mesas, o que poderia ser um bem estar, foi apenas um estar razoável. Não tem multibanco (creio que é mais um ponto negativo). Valeu a simpatia das empregadas que contrasta com a permanente má cara do gerente ou responsável do espaço que atrás do balcão refilou o tempo todo por tudo e por nada.

Très bon, très atypique (décors vieillotte et artistique) et cosy. La viande est importée d'argentine, d'excellente qualité. 40€ avec 2 plats 2 desserts et 2 verres de vin. Pas étonnant que les joueurs argentins du Benfica viennent y manger.

Most dishes have been fairly well executed every time I've been there. The salads are very nice (last time we had the asparagus and quinoa - which was excellen). Other dishes can be a bit pricey for what you get, though.

Très bon restaurant dans un endroit typique. Hors des touristes. Budget très raisonnable. Attention la quantité est au rendez vous et également la qualité. Une mention spéciale pour le crumble pomme. Excellent. Du coup on y est revenu pour notre dernier repas sur Lisbonne. Pas de changement. Tout y est.

Resto typique proche du Bairro Alto et loin des pièges à touristes.
Ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale où il fait bon se poser pour déguster, admirer le cadre et écouter de la bonne musique.

Me and my wife had a most enjoyable meal in Cafe Buenos Aires this evening. Service was friendly and food was excellent. We had spring rolls and hummus to start but highlight was the excellent salad main courses. I had asparagus and poached egg salad and my wife had aubergine and brie filo pastry salad. Dessert was also excellent - fried pineapple and coconut ice cream. Restaurant vibe / atmosphere was also really nice. Would recommend.

Not for families!
A little disappointed with the reviews that didn't mention that this place is not for families. We went there with our 2 year old and certainly didn't like what their waiters had in store.
The food is good, but not much Argentinian. They should have more Malbec wines. Overall ok if you're not with children.

We had steaks, the quality of the meat was good, but they did not prepare it well. Two medium steaks were 98% rare and after sending it back they had cut it to shreds leaving no taste at all.
The service was okay but also not really friendly.

If you ever go to Lisbon, make sure you stop at Buenos Aires Café to taste delicate, fresh and creative food (flower salads, homemade pasta that would even impress an italian chef, or if you prefer, deliciously cooked cod...). Also the decoration in both restaurants is beautiful (there are 2 almost on the same street and have the same menu). In the small one, an arty, bohemian and intimate atmosphere full of pictures and objects brought from Argentina. In the big one, the elegant charm of a 60s bistrot somewhere in between Buenos Aires and Paris...

Primeira (e não vai ser a última de certeza) vez no Cafe Buenos Aires e em boa hora aqui vim.
Mesmo que ainda condicionado, pelo Covid19, sem o reboliço normal, tivemos um atendimento personalizado, com uma enorme simpatia do staff, que quase pensamos estar em casa.
Pedimos o Bife e as Tiras Argentinas e estavam deliciosos. A sugestão de vinho foi excelente, permitindo usufruir de um manjar dos "deuses". Muito bom. Obrigado.

Em pleno estado de emergência, encomendei alguns pratos deste restaurante para festejar o meu aniversário com a minha pequena família em casa. Tudo chegou devidamente embalado, tal qual foi encomendado, à hora pedida. Tira de carne deliciosa, bife extremamente bem cozinhado e a massa fresca de pedir e chorar por mais. O bolo de chocolate convence qualquer um a desistir da dieta. Uma das melhores refeições dos últimos tempos, no conforto e segurança da nossa casa. Recomendo vivamente!

Pedi via uber eats duas empanadas argentinas de carne, recebi algo que parecia um pastel brasileiro de feira feito com massa pronta congelada.
Enganam-se fortemente os que acham que podem mandar produtos de baixa qualidade com valores altos só porque enviam via ubereats.
Lamentável.
A quem ler isto e gosta de uma verdade empanada, indico fortemente comer na LA ARGENTINA, porque aqui nunca mais.

Great steaks, well cooked, at tourist prices in an attractive area of Lisbon. Beef originates from Argentina, as does most of the wine. Small, cozy restaurant with a classic red wallpaper and dark wood motif. Music from yesteryear. Romantic ambiance, closely placed tables. Not a good place for young children. Friendly staff. Reservations recommended.

Cash-only restaurant. Very good Argentina’s food, they get the meat from Argentina. I tried the flank steak and it was excellent, and had empanadas and they were brilliant as well. They have Quilmes beer besides many other drinks. There’s seating outside. The service is excellent as well. It’s slightly hard to find because the street it’s on is pedestrian-only and it’s all stairs.

Vamos ser honestos, como se vêm até aqui e não pedir um bife? Aqui é o rei absoluto da casa. Nunca sai desiludido, um bife cozinhado na perfeição, macio e amanteigado.
Apreciamos o bife, e o bolo de chocolate como sobremesa. Não consigo expressar em palavras o quão suculento era o nosso bife, só posso recomendar a visita. Também quero elogiar a equipa aqui. Eles são extremamente agradáveis e prestáveis, mesmo com a casa cheia. Eu voltarei com certeza.

Dit restaurant werd ons aangeraden en absoluut geen spijt van. Zeer attente bediening, kwalitatief hoogwaardig eten en goede wijn. Wij hadden een steak en de zomersalade. Wij zijn erg tevreden en komen waarschijnlijk nog wel een keer terug! Denk er wel aan dat je alleen cash kan afrekenen!

Hinter dem Cafe Buenos Aires versteckt sich ein sehr nettes argentinisches Restaurant im Stadtzentrum von Lissabon, quasi auf halber Treppenhöhe.
Sehr netter und schneller Service, kleine, aber feine Karte.
Unser bestelltes Essen hatte eine tolle Qualität und war sehr, sehr lecker!
Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut und wir können einen Besuch empfehlen!

Excellent restaurant, parfait je dirais même. Service exemplaire, personnel gentil voir même adorable et que dire des plats, tout est fait maison et c'est un délice que ce soit les jus de fruit et les plats. Je vous recommande les chaussons à la viande qui sont succulents (coup de coeur). Le prix est élevé mais est justifié par la qualité des boissons, plats et dessert. De plus, la carte en français = top Le cadre le soir est super et calme, un peu plus bruyamment le midi mais sinon excellent.

Bon restaurant, situé dans une rue passante donc si vous aimez ne pas avoir des passants toutes les 2 secondes, mangez a l'intérieur. Service assez rapide. Le gâteau au chocolat est très bon mais treeees lourd. La sangria est bonne mais différente. Je recommande, mais je pense qu'on peut trouver mieux.

If you want to have an authentic Argentinian experience, stay away from this place. The food menu is quite random (you will find things like hummus!), low quality and the staff is so rude and unfriendly. It's even expensive for what you get.

Já não é a primeira vez que visito este espaço e quando uma pessoa volta é por que deixou marcas. O local continua bastante acolhedor, a confecção e a qualidade dos ingrediente utilizados é de bom nível. Num restaurante onde a carne impera, optei desta vez por um prato de peixe. Perguntam vocês, "mas como é possível?" e eu respondo, "sim, é possível" .
Desgostei um excelente bacalhau desfiado com batata doce assada, o bacalhau estava no ponto e as batatas irrepreensíveis, para acompanhar e como estava com um grupo de amigos, ficamos por um sangria tinta, também esta de boa qualidade.
Resumindo, mantém o ambiente, mantém a qualidade geral na confecção e o atendimento esse é simples, acolhedor e despreocupado (no bom sentido) .

Cute place with all the other more or less tourist restaurant on the hill, the food was just good but nothing really super special, will no made the walk again to come back. I order raviolis and got dumplings, the stuffing was good and the sauce was good, but there where nothing close to a Argentinian ravioli

A mixed bag for this place, a general mediocre experience considering the price. Small sides and over-salted steaks. Very bad cutlery for a steak house too.

Si vienes aquí es para tomar carne argentina de calidad medio/alta, aunque los precios no son baratos (un steak a 18 euros). El sitio es bonito con pinta de café , los camareros son agradables y la música tranquila es muy apropiada. Además está en el barrio alto fácilmente accesible desde la avenida de la libertad.

The food is not bad, but it was not what we expected. The Ceviche is not a ceviche but a salad, the Muxama was very salty and cutted too thin, the Salada de espargus verdes was quite boring.

Leider werden die vielen Gaststätten ab ca. 20:00 Uhr oder 20:30 Uhr in Lissabon sehr voll. So auch unsere. Wir sollten bis 20:30 Uhr, spätestens bis 20:40 Uhr fertig sein, sonst hätte man uns nicht bedient.
Die typische Lissabonner Musik lief im Radio, das Essen kam er echt schnell, wir waren guter Dinge.
Mein echtes Brasilianisches Medium Rumpsteak war typische dick und groß und schmeckte auf den ersten Bissen auch gut. Nachdem ich etwas mehr abgeschnitten hatte ging das auch schwer und das Fleisch war innen Blutig.
Ich hatte nachgefragt, nein Medium ist das noch nicht meinte die Kellnerin. Sie brachte einen kleinen Teller und legte mein Fleisch darauf.
Nach einige Minuten kam sie wieder, das Fleisch war halbiert und von beiden Seiten noch Mal leicht gebraten.
Das hatte ich bisher auch noch nicht erlebt!
Für 17,00 € leider nicht zu empfehlen.

This is a good breakfast option. We went there quite a lot for their chocolate croissants (just perfect and yummy) the place is a bit outdated, but the staff is really nice and the prices quite reasonable.

Actually there are 2 locations on the same block. We went to the one in the middle of the block. Excellent food and ambience. Great service. Salad with flowers is one of a kind, but there many other dishes to try and admire.

Милое местечко, с отличной кухней. Дружелюбная атмосфера. Официантка даже пыталась говорить с нами по-русски. Так как ее друг сердца наш бывший соотечественник из Молдовы. Поставила Шуфутинского, и не могла поверить, что мы не поклонники русского шансона. Но кафе расположено на туристической тропе от обзорного лифта, поэтому ценник соответствующий.

Superbe accueil suivi d'une excellente cuisine originale et gustative. De belles découvertes culinaires (salade aux fleurs ) et une viande de qualité (moi qui n'en mange pratiquement plus ). Bref rien à redire sinon comme un "goût de reviens y " ou de trop peu". Vins du Douro ou Alentejo superbes.

Dieses kleine Restaurant/Café auf dem Treppen-Weg hinauf ins Bairro Alto von der Station Rossio hat einen besonderen Flair. Hier kann man gemütlich sitzen und einen Wein trinken, die hausgemachte Pasta mit Meeresfrüchten essen oder aber die Spezialität des Hauses - Filetsteak aus Argentinien. Die Qualität der Speisen ist außerordentlich gut und im Sommer kann man draußen sitzen und die lauen Nächte genießen.

Local pequeño y acogedor. Carta en varios idiomas salvo Español, algo bastante común en Lisboa y que no entiendo. Ceviche de pescado sin pescado, básicamente una ensalada de manzana y aguacate. Raviolis de pasta fresca ricos. El sitio es caro, 6 € una copa de vino, y el resto en consonancia. No son amables. Y no admiten pago con tarjeta.

Great food and nice place. Prices are good. Steak from Argentina ist about 18 euros. Omelette with potatoe crisps and salad ist around 10 euros and really good and the portions have a good healthy size;)

Recomendado por un amigo que vivió allí, hemos cenado muy bien. Como hacía tan buena temperatura, hemos cenado en la calle... eso sí, con una mantita que ya estamos en noviembre.
La cena my rica: una ensalada con patatas, jamón, huevo y queso y unas láminas de bacalao con patata dulce. Riquísimo!!

Huge portion for starters - endive salad with pear and Roquefort sauce is a full meal and excellent. Ceviche is a must try.

Busy when we went but they fit us in no problem. Amazing food, we had a pear, blue cheese and walnut salad starter with chicory leaves, one of the best dishes of our trip. Also had swordfish fillets with batter and sesame seeds with delicious homemade pesto. Aubergine fritters with mixed leaf and fruit salad was also delicious. Chocolate mousse one of the best I've had. Only downside (and they don't lose a point because it was my problem) was that the cutlery and plates were really scratchy and it was driving me crazy while I was trying to eat my dinner! Like nails on a blackboard...

스테이크 요리를 메인으로 생선 요리 및 기타 가벼운 요리를 파는 집. 안심과 채끝 스테이크와 병아리콩을 다진 허무스(hummus)를 시켰는데 매우 만족했다. 스테이크 두개 모두 육즙이 매우 많았고 고기질이 좋았다. 리스본에 조금 더 머물렀다면 재방문했을 것 같다.

I thought this place was a tourist trap, but it's not. The food is pretty good, especially if the Argentinian Rib Eye. Big portion with sides. I ordered fish fingers and they were definitely freshly made than frozen. The place has a wonderful view of the castle. You'll have an elevated view of the roads below too. The place doesn't accept credit card, be sure to bring along cash. They were really friendly and nice, even when we had to count our money to be sure we have enough!

오후3시에 와서 그런지는 몰라도 한가해서 그랬는지 몰라도 주인이 친절하고 음식맛도 좋음. Meat pastry 와 황새치swordfish튀김, 대구cod fish를 썰어서 시금치랑 같이 먹는 요리 시켜먹었는데 매우 마음에들었음. 다음에 또 리스보아에 온다면 다시 들르겠음. 참고로 아르헨티나 음식점임. 포르투갈 음식찾으면 안됨.

여긴 꼭 가야해요! 제발 가주세요! 리스본에 머무는 동안 두번갔는데 한번 더 못간게 아직도 한이 됩니다.. 스테이크가 정말 맛있어요:-) 직원도 친절합니다! 야외에서 먹으면 골목 사이로 좁게나마 야경을 볼 수 있고, 실내에서 먹으면 분위기가 너무 좋아요!!!! 스테이크 진짜 ㅜㅜ 최고.. 여기 때문에 리스본 다시 오고싶어요..❤️❤️❤️❤️ It is the best steak in my life. I will never forget this steak!!!!!! (staff is kind )

Great place with a good atmosphere. We didn't have a reservation but they were very accommodating.
Great wines and good steaks. Sadly mine was slightly over done but had a good flavor.
The range and uniqueness of appetizers was extraordinary. Prices are reasonable for what you get.
Not as cheap as local Portuguese cuisine.

Essen schmeckt gut. Auf der Karte stehen nur die Speisen, keine Getränke. Für das Bier hat man uns € 5,00 berechnet! Wucherpreis. (wir haben allerdings auch nicht nach den Getränkepreisen gefragt). Soetwas haben wir in Lissabon kein zweites Mal erlebt.

Nous étions 4 et avions envie de manger une bonne viande argentine ... nous n'avons pas été déçus ! La viande était délicieuse et le repas copieux. Le service était très sympa et les prix tout à fait raisonnables pour cette belle pièce de viande, l'apéro, le bon vin, etc.

Lovely restaurant and the atmosphere is really good. However, prices are too high for what you get to the extreme that my friends and I were shocked. If you want to be ripped off, it's a nice place in a great area. Otherwise, nearby you can get the same for much more reasonable prices, and same good atmosphere.

Vue magnifique sur le centre et le château. Dans une rue reculée de la foule (pas mal d'escaliers) : déco sympa . Viande argentine très bonne . Service attentionné : prêt de couverture le soir s'il y a du vent. Attention : ils ne prennent pas la carte, donc pensez à vous munir d'espèces (les distributeurs sont assez loin). Une déception : beaucoup de français affluaient (ce resto semble être recommandé dans tous nos bons vieux guides et rend ce passage finalement "commun")

A tricky one to review: great settings on a set of stairs linking streets with an amazing view and beautiful restaurants, plural - they have two sites a few doors apart. Each is really nicely decorated with lovely antiques and give the feel of a traditional Lisbon restaurant. However, the food is interesting and not totally in a good way. We had a mushroom starter and a shrimp and avocado cocktail. Both unconventional and strange if tasty. The restaurant is supposed to be famous for its steaks but ours were both "gamey" ie with a very strong taste. I'm hoping this is because they were hung for a long time rather than that they were a bit off. Also, we ordered medium steaks but they were really rare - something we have noticed in other places in Portugal so go up at least one level when ordering. Finally, not all the ingredients were as described on the menu - the mushrooms were button, not shiitake.
My daughters had the deep fried mozzarella (looked impressive but too bland) and an adventurous salad which was appreciated.
Service was good so no problems there.
I wouldn't want to put people off completely as it will no doubt please many but things could certainly have been better.

Lovely restaurant, great steaks and decent cocktails. Good service, despite the fact that there was only one waitress while we were there. Good atmosphere too. This review is for the restaurant of the same name a few doors along the side street, which was the source of some confusion, as it seems to be run by the same people but is larger.

Já muito tinha ouvido falar deste restaurante e admito que fiquei decepcionado. O meu Bife Argentino não estava bom e nem cheguei a acabar (simplesmente não dava para cortar). Para o bife que comi, achei o restaurante muito caro. Ainda assim o espaço é giro e está numa zona engraçada de Lisboa. Acredito que posso não ter tido sorte mas ainda assim a experiência não foi boa.

Definitely eat here at least once at night when visiting Lisbon, and grab a seat outdoors on the stairs. My wife and I were blown away by the steak, and she loved the flower salad as well. Definitely worth the few extra euros you'll pay here versus some of the other restaurants on the stairs in the area.

Moved to R.do Duque nr 22. We had a great steak and apple pie as dessert. Not the cheapest but great value for money. Best food so far in this town. Nice staff.

Very nice place, situated on the opposite hill of San Jorge Castello with a romantik view. The steaks were delicious, but the best choice was the chocolate cake with caramel for dessert ;)

The creative menu includes great salads, amazing Argentinian steaks, fresh pastas, and killer desserts. This place never disappoints.
Sit outside on the stairs to watch the moon rise behind the castle (take a sweater) or make a reservation if you'd rather eat inside (be warned, it's tiny).

This isn't really a Cafe, at leat not in the evening. There is a relaxed buzz, and is obviously quite popular as it was pretty busy. Unfortunately the service got a bit overwhelmed at one point, but we forgave them because they were really friendly and fun.
The steaks are fabulous.
