Food and service here was spot on. You cant really go wrong here. There is a choice of 3 set menus each different in price depending on how many courses you choose to have. We had 3 for €15. You had choice of dishes from each starter, main & dessert options. A good variety in each. Food was very tasty and well presented and came in good time. Whilst we visited there was a huge table of people (about 40!!!) But we didn't have to wait at all and neither did any other tables. The kitchen and staff worked remarkably fast to get everyone seen to in the right amount of time without any delays at all. Well done to them all! Staff were very friendly and helpful as always in Portugal, the Portuguese people really are a lovely bunch and make your experience that whole much better on every occasion- they never fail to make you feel welcome and well looked after.

We chose the restaurant relatively at random as we allowed our son to choose and he did so well! We enjoyed their 2 course menu which had so much choice but made it far more inexpensive than many others we had eaten at. I enjoyed the golden bream which was freshly caught and truly delicious whilst my son loved his spare ribs. There were no complaints either with a really good selection of desserts. Highly recommended.

Resto qui fait restaurant pour touristes mais qui au final ne déçoit pas du tout. Il offre plusieurs menus à des prix très accessibles, nous avons pris le menu à 16€ avec entrée,plat, dessert et verre de vin. Et c'était simple et bon. Un rapport qualité prix imbattable à ferragudo. Le service au top également.

Restaurante bem localizado, pena que a gerência não tenha muitos conhecimentos na area. Querem o monopólio e acabam por perder no resto. Muito tempo de espera e peixe de aviário o que no Algarve é uma pena.
Staff cada um com a sua roupa.
Só aí vê se a qualidade que se espera. Não voltarei de certeza

Ein Restaurant mit einer Vielzahl an unterschiedlichen Gerichten, sodass für jeden etwas dabei ist. Das Essen wird frisch zubereitet ist schmeckt sehr gut. Die Preise sind voll in Ordnung. Man kann sehr gut draußen als auch drinnen sitzen. Die Lokation macht einen sauberen Eindruck. Das Personal ist freundlich und schnell.

Really good place to eat in Ferragudo - right in the old square. Excellent service from friendly staff and good value special deal menus alongside the main menu. Eat outside or inside.

Fantastic varied menu; the ribs are highly recommended and the house red wine is superb.

We have been here many times and have never been disappointed. Their menu, especially the fish dishes, is excellent. The waiters are knowledgeable and more than happy to discuss your choice with you. There is an excellent range of fixed price "menu of the day" meaning the value for money is unbeatable. The atmosphere, inside or out in the square, makes this the perfect place for any mral. Yes we love it.

Really enjoyed both my visits to this restaurant. Both times were for lunch which we opted for the 3 course set menu, this also comes with a drink and coffee too.
The food is very tasty and great value. The staff are friendly and helpful. Outdoor seating is the place to be so you can soak up the atmosphere of the square which includes music from a local musician most days, which is a nice touch.
Have yet to eat here in the evening but I'm sure it's equally as good. They also offer take away pizzas for those interested - the pizzas are thin base and very good.

Le rapport qualité prix est bien et les plats sont honnête, on est pas dans le total respect authentique des plats mais ça fait le taf comme on dit.
Les serveurs sont énergique et de bonne volonté, même si il peut y avoir des petites erreurs.
On vous amène un plateau de tout les desserts pour que vous puissiez choisir.
Bien pour les familles aussi il y a un petit parc avec des jeux pour enfants juste en face.
Peut sembler un piège à touriste avec ses menus imprimé en très grand format, mais en faite c'est le contraire, tout est transparent et sans surprises.
Mérite ses 4 étoiles car aucune prise de tête, on ne vous force pas à prendre des poissons honereux au kilo, et ça parle très bien plusieurs langues.

Firstly because the servers were really friendly.
Secondly because I don't like leaving a bad review, I'm leaving this in the hope that they might address the poor approach to pizza making.
I can't speak from the rest of the menu, I'm sure it's great..…
Pizza done simply is a wonderful thing, you don't need a huge amount of skill, you don't need tons of ingredients but anyone can do it. Pizza done very well can be exceptional.
These guys have got the fundimentals all wrong. First, not enough tomato sauce and where's the garlic? Second, what's the deal with a suprise calzone? That should clearly be stated. Third, the one sided approach? All cheese on one size meat on the other. Fourth, dough not home made, yet that's so easy to do. Fifth, flavour - combinations are all wrong; soggy mushrooms, wet ham (why ham?) And overly salty cheese. This is not good pizza.
I'm not sure how you could screw it up so much!
It wasn't horrible it was just disappointing, like I said, I'm sure their other dishes are great, just don't bother with the pizza, trust!

Sopar amb família molt bo, una sopa de peix (4€) amb lluç i calamars a dins, una cassoleta de peix sense espines amb tomàquet, patata, gambes pelades, formatge i suquet boníssim (18€) i uns espaguetis amb salmó i gambes a la seva salsa, molt cremosos i carregat de gambes (17€).
Hem anat fins aquí perquè ens hem perdut, i hi tornarem segur! Molt recomanable!

Atendimento muito demorado, (uma hora de espera), ainda chegaram pessoas após ter se procedido ao nosso pedido que conseguiram ser atendidas primeiro. Empregados pouco afáveis sempre a dizerem que não falam bem português dificultando a obtenção de respostas claras. Comida no geral ok, nada de mais que justifica-se o tempo de espera.

Sympa en famille mais ne casse pas trois pattes à un canard. Pizzas toutes faites. La lasagne était bonne. Nous avons pris de la sangria blanche qui n'était pas terrible. Le serveur était un peu maladroit mais nous avons été servis rapidement

Restaurante normalito en precio y en calidad de comida.Aceptable por su buena ubicacion y por la amplia carta que tienen.
Fallaron en la lasaña de verduras que estaba insípida y con verduras crudas.
El pollo al piri piri muy bueno aunque demasiado picante.
Copas poco apropiadas para el vino aunque en Portugal pasa en bastantes sitios.

Had a nice lunch here with a variety of dishes ordered by our group of 5. The main complaint would be the wait, over 40mins for an order that included 2 sandwiches. The 2 seafood dishes were the winners, however the baguette sandwiches were solid too! You will find more authentic and cheaper options a few blocks away, but it's nice to sit in the main square. I'd give this place a 3.5 if I could.

Well after. Nine weeks of Covid lockdown, this was the first opportunity for Restaurants to be open,so twelve of us decided to meet here for Dinner. The tables were placed according and the young Waiters had facial protection.
However for two of us the meal we were served was diabolical. The lamb Chops were burnt, and well over cooked. The Vegetables were Luke warm, after our meals were waved around in the open by the Waiters trying to place the orders! When asked , by the Waiter how our Meal was, we both complained! We were offered and alternative or a Drink, which at the time was declined.
I would have thought, that as we were all Residents that they would have taken a lot more effort on meal quality and presentation to encourage us to dine here!

It had been three years since we reluctantly left our home in the Algarve. Your Restaurant was a Haven for us. Delicious food great service and always lovely to chat to you both. We recommend your lovely restaurant to all our friends who come on holiday and they all rave about it. So I just wanted to ‘pop’ in to day hi and that we miss you all (I’m the one on crutches!)

You can't fault this place for prices or service. Very good. And great location in the square. However, I ordered the pork and clams and expected the usual Portuguese regional dish. While what I received looked okay, it was drenched in a curry type sauce. Not authentic at all. The serving was fine, but it was like Portuguese meets an Indian curry. Not quite right.

El sitio es muy acogedor y la plaza donde está ubicado igual, te sientes como un lugareño más. La comida buenísima y las porciones ídem. El menú del lunch está genial y súper completo para el precio que tiene. La lasaña de verduras increíble, el pan de ajo con queso y bacon igual, y la burguer más de lo mismo. En realidad, creo que cualquier cosa estaría rica. Como postre, recomiendo la tarta de manzana con canela, espectacular. Si estás o pasas por Ferragudo, es de visita obligada.

Comi dos veces con el menú que tienen a 14 euros todo incluido de lunes a domingos y la verdad todo un acierto. Un primer plato que suele ser ligero y un segundo a elegir entre varias cosas muy abundante y bueno a mi parecer . Todo con una sangría muy rica , postre a elegir entre muchos tipos de tartas cual mas apetecible y cafe.
Solo una noche me tube que levantar porque fui a cenar a carta pizza y me dijeron que la masa estaba mal y no podían servir pizza, por lo que abone la bebida y fui en busca de pizza a otro restaurante , aunque despues vi gente comiendo pizza y no termine de entender que paso.
Volvería sin duda a comer el menú porque esta bastante bien calidad precio. A carta los precios se suben mas.

Standaard toeristen menu. Eten is middelmatig en vooral veel. Pleintje is voor een enkele keer gezellig maar daarna altijd weer hetzelfde. Bediening gaat snel zodat je binnen 1,5 uur al klaar bent.

O restaurante Portarade, em Ferragudo, é muito acolhedor, também à noite, com uma decoração tradicional e boa iluminação, mesmo à mesa. Empregados simpáticos, prontos para sugerir as especialidades da casa. Alguns aspetos a melhorar: estando bem perto da Serra do Monchique, a água mineral natural servida não pode ser de uma multinacional, deveria ser Água de Monchique. Assim como o vinho da casa não poderia deixar de ser de Lagoa. Se não se valorizar a produção local e regional, estar-se-á a perder um extraordinário potencial de diferenciação de baixo custo. E isso é obviamente um mau negócio.

Digne d'une cafétéria. Cela ressemble à un piège à touriste et cela en est un. Tout est fait à base de plats déjà préparés sans intérêts. Les prix sont bas mais je préfère encore manger un sandwich que ça.

You probably aren't going to have the best meal of your life, but if you are looking for a nice place to sit and big chain type quality of food then this is a great place.The prices for the set menu are very cheap and include a drink.

Espaço localizado mesmo no centro de Ferragudo, bom ambiente, pratos saborosos e staff relativamente atencioso. 4 pessoas almoçam bem por 50€. Uma boa opção.

Very helpful and polite staff reasonable prices and fantastic food. I had the salmon and broccoli spaghetti it was amazing part of the set menu for €11.50 with chocolate cake for dessert and a glass or two of Vinho Verde (not part of the deal) but the house white was also very palatable. Would definitely recommend this place. We had lunch there today as well also very good.

Decent enough service, although they forgot one of the starters and tried to serve it along with the main courses.
The bread couverts isn't worth ordering. The sardines pate, butter and "cheese" (Dutch people will recognize it as regular ERU smeerkaas) are served in plastic packaging, straight out of the supermarket.
Grilled chicken piri piri was dry, already taken apart but still had a lot of bone and the piri piri was nonexistant. A pinch of salt was all I could taste.
The beer and the cup of coffee were decent. It was cheap though and other dishes tasted better than mine, according to my fellow customers.
The location is great and the live music by the saxophone player was awesome.

Décevant, nous allions plusieurs par an, lors de nos séjours, mais cette année sera la dernière fois, frites congelé, porco aux palourdes non mariné servi dans l'huile.....
Lasagnes sans viande, là on a atteints le maximum tout juste convenable surtout avec l'augmentation de tarif des menus.
Pour nous c'est fini
De plus surprise du chef, nous avons fini tous aux toilettes durant une bonne partie de l'après-midi.... Fuyer ce restaurant !

Sitio maravilloso. Paramos por probar suerte ya que no teníamos muchas referencias y la sorpresa fue grata. Buen servicio, personal simpático, y platos muy bien servidos en calidad/cantidad para los precios. Sin duda un buen sitio que queda en mi lista para cuando repita el algarve.

Incredibly Picturesque square in the centre of Ferragudo in the Algarve. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and the price for what we received was unbelievable! Very fast service and nice seating. I Highly recommend it.

I had a lovely three course meal today, starting with vegetable soup, sea bass and a raspberry desert, with coffee and water for an all inclusive lunchtime deal of €11,50. It was delicious and the service was very good.

O atendimento foi simpático, o Caril de Gambas estava muito bom. E o Ensopado de Borrego foi feito por uma simpatiquíssima cozinheira alentejana que teve a amabilidade de vir falar à mesa connosco!
