Lovely outdoor seating area with pretty lights and flowers. Food was good. Piri piri prawn starter delicious. Fish mains were good, as were the meat kebabs. Service quick and efficient but not overly friendly.

We only purchased ice cream here, it was lovely. Although one of the flavours finished and when asked if we could purchase more, we were told there were none. Expected more product.

Hatten Fisch Kebab und Rindfleisch auf heißem Stein beides war lecker und nicht teuer. Die Bedienung war freundlich, dass Essen und auch die Desserts kamen zügig. Wir können das A Galeria empfehlen.

Kellner trägt uhr am arm trotz der Hygienedtandarts die man in Deutschland kennt. Wein wird mit zwei Händen eingefüllt. Das Bier schmeckt als sei es vom Discounter. Tische zu eng und zudem aus Plastik, alles wackelig und viel zu wenig platz für private konversationen, da einem ständig die anderen Gäste über die schulter schauen. Vorspeise wurde wieder weggenommen, obwohl nichtmal komplett verzehrt :(

Honteux ! Je vous déconseille vivement d’aller dans ce restaurant ! 1h pour être servi alors qu’il n’y avait plus que deux tables pleines dans le restaurant ! 1h d’attente pour des enfants pour en fin de compte avoir un hamburger avec juste du pain et un steak haché cuit ! C’est juste inadmissible ! Demander des entrées et s’entendre dire que les entrées se servent en même temps que les plats ! Personnel désagréable au plus au point ! La nourriture est degueulasse et je vous laisse imaginer la faible quantité dans les assiettes ! Surtout ne vous y arrêtez pas ! Ce restaurant ne mérite même pas d’étoile !

Poor Poor very poor. Where do I start. The four of us on the last night of our holidays thought we would try this place. First warning was the staffs attitude as we walked in. They seemed startled that we wanted a table especially when he asked for one indoors. Having placed our order we were given a unique range of appetisers to share which were ok, two of us had starters which seemed to lack the flavouring advertised on the menu. Bland. Moving on to main courses, all but one of us ordered a stone dish where you cook the meat at the table. We should have had chicken fillet and steak fillet instead we got small pieces of meat that we were not sure of its origin. It was tasteless and dry and my case definitly not fillet steak. The staff never once asked if everything was ok and did not even check on our satisfaction when a huge amount of the meat was left. The salad on the plate was a joke and accompanying sauces unpalletable. The chips were cold and few. Staff didn't seem able to even raise a smile. Possibly the worst dining experience of my life and definitely the worst in Portugal. Had a lot better meals for half the cost so you dont get what you pay for as some others have said. We left feeling hungry and queasy. Hope there are no further problems but wouldn't be surprised.

Most definatley the worst dining experience of my life. Been coming to Carvoeiro for 30 years and funnily enough never been here now i know why....please please please do not waste your money or time on this restaurant(i use this name as i really don't know what else to call it) vastly over priced, food awful and staff appalling we left 4 full plates and no one asked why. I have travelled all over the world and never once left after a meal angry but by jeez i am angry in fact hangry tonight...#avoid #walkonby...the one star was for the coke zero btw plus i couldn't score any lower

We ordered a Portuguese special and it was frozen crabsticks floating about on a tomato soup. Very disappointing - do not recommend to anyone. Do not be taken in by the appearance.

We've been coming here as a family for 7 years and always get the warmest of welcomes from Manuella and her team. It's our go to restaurant. The food is amazing and we've never once been disappointed. It's really good value compared to the more expensive Carvoiero restaurants. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Eigentlich hätte uns der Preis für das Essen stutzig machen sollen. Menü mit Suppe und Dessert für 9,50 Euro. Die Spareribs waren unterirdisch: viele Knochen, wenig Fleisch, sehr fett und gänzlich ungewürzt. Bei allen Essen sehr spärliche Beilagen. Auf von geäußerte Kritik hat die Bedienung gar nicht reagiert, sondern uns wortlos die Rechnung gebracht. Für uns wirkt das Lokal wie Touristen-Abzocke. Morgen sind ja wieder neue Gäste da ... Fazit: lieber weiter ins Landesinnere fahren.

Noi qui abbiamo cenato, e ci siamo trovati bene. Piatti ben preparati, menù non molto ampio ma sufficiente, sia di carne che di pesce. Piatti serviti con gusto, porzioni giuste e prezzi ragionevoli. Buona la posizione, vicina al centro di Carvoeiro ma non proprio nella caotica piazza sul mare dove altri ristoranti danno l'idea di essere molto "turistici". Le ragazze che servono sono poco comunicative ma gentili ed efficienti. Tavoli anche all'aperto in grazioso giardinetto ben arredato. Tavoli un po' piccoli. In totale una buona esperienza.

Prima voor wat je ervoor betaald, maar niet meer dan dat. Meisje in de bediening zou een cursus omgaan met gasten kunnen doen eventueel....of gewoon een andere uitdaging zoeken.

The food is delicious, there are options for everyone. The members of staff are so lovely that they make you feel welcomed. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Our favourite restaurant this trip, we ate there several times. Really pleasant interior but also tables for outside dining if preferred. All meats were beautifully cooked and the fish was so fresh. The deserts were to die for! The wines and beers were not outrageusly priced either. Family run and so welcoming. Lovely ambience with quiet music playing in the background and no ghastly widescreen TV in sight!!! Street parking only and busy but this place is worth waiting for a slot

This is a lovely, welcoming restaurant which offers something from the singleton dining alone through to the family group. Friendly service and a good selection of reasonably priced food. I had the Meal of the Day and thoroughly enjoyed it

Only giving one because I couldn’t give 0, not only was the service appalling, especially with the young waitress who stared upon our arrival instead of greeting us normally, both me and my partner got food poisoning after having their T-bone steak. Please avoid this restaurant if you don’t want to have a fever, an upset stomach and chills on your way back home.

Mi valoración es referente al precio, la ubicación y un poco hacia la comida. Los platos son abundantes. Tienes que tener un poco de paciencia, pues tardan en atender y servir pero bueno, algo tienen que tener ya que es bastante economico.

The service was welcoming and the food good however we didn't find it especially unique or particularly interesting. Portions were also small leaving us hungry and deciding to walk into the centre to buy desserts.

This restaurant has the potential to be very good, Ideally situated in a picturesque setting. I got the impression that it is a family run restaurant Mother ,Daughter & Son, but I could be wrong. The girl showed us to our table (Disappointing cheap plastic garden furniture) but we where there for the food not the furniture. The girl who showed us to our table and took our order was most unpleasant never once smiling, she looked as though she hated her job, we nicked named her the Mona Lisa, if she looked at fresh cream it would turn sour. Never once did this girl smile or interact with the customers. The young man who also served was more pleasant but totally useless when it came to helping us with the menu or the wine list, this is white wine and this is red wine. No help at all. Anyway I had soup to start and it was not bad, but far from good. For the main course, I ordered a steak Medium/Well and my partner ordered sword fish. The steak was totally dry and I could not finish it as it was like chewing leather. As for the sword fish was in-eatable, and presentation of the dinner plate was appalling. We could not wait to leave this place and when the girl (assume the daughter) to clear our dinner plates she seen that dinners were hardly touched, but she just cleared the plates and left without asking if there was anything wrong. We asked for the bill and could not wait to get out of the place. This was the worse meal so far on our holidays, we will not be back.

Comida buena. Precios adecuados. El salmón y el atún bastante bueno. Dos camareras que nos atendieron al comienzo muy bordes. A pesar de esto es un buen sitio para cenar.

Cierto q una camarera parecía estar enfadada con el mundo, nos indico la mesa con un movimiento d cabeza, no abrió la boca en ningún momento. Por suerte luego nos atendió otra menos borde. La comida buena, calidad precio adecuada. El salmón muy rico.

El servicio es pésimo. Nunca he escrito una reseña, pero me veo en la obligación de advertir a la gente de que no vayan a éste sitio. La camarera que nos atendio lo hizo con desgana, y perdonandonos la vida (al resto de las mesas también), odiando al mundo en general. Cuándo una compañera le consulto algo, su respuesta fue algo así como buscate la vida y déjame en paz. Más desagradable imposible. Así no se puede teabajar de cara al público. Jamas vi nada igual.No me extraña que tengan de media un 2,6, aunque yo le restaría 2,1. Le doy una estrella porque no me deja poner 0.La comida mala.Se salvan la lechuga el pan, el tomate y el agua

A eviter !!! Super decevant ! Trop d'attente tout ça pour une brochette avec 5 morceaux de poisson, 12 frites, 5 rondelles de carotte, 1 rondelle de tomate et 1 cuillere á soupe de salade verte !!!! Presque rien ds l'assiette et en plus personnel pas aimable .

I only gave one star because I can't give 0. The owner is unpleasant , bossy and disrespectful toward her staff in front of the costumers. The food isn't bad but nothing special. At the end, when we were leaving, we saw a lady throwing up in the flowers, next to the tables, so we were probably lucky we weren't poisoned.. .

Nous venons d'y manger ce soir avec ma compagne (10/10/2016) UN REGAL, ma compagne a pris du saumon grillé, et pour ma part j'ai pris et vous recommande l'espadon frit a l'ail un délice, et en dessert le pudding et la tarte au citron meringuée vous feront finir le repas sous les meilleurs hospices. Un petit verre de porto nous a même été offert à la fin. Le service est impeccable, serveuses et serveur tres souriants et polis. Je recommande !!!!!!!!!!

I have been back to this restaurant every time I've been back it has good food and cheap prices . Good staff and gets very busy in peak season . You get what you pay for so I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews .

This is a very good example of a very bad restaurant! This restaurant has earned itself a place in my "Hall of Fame" - as the worst restaurant I have ever had to endure. The staff were miserable and unfriendly - and service was so slow we thought we would need to order breakfast! We were made to wait 20 mins for a free table to then be told by another member of staff that a table was available inside The electrical fuse box was right next to our table, and one of the fuses kept tripping - meaning a member of staff would lean over us to reset. After a few times we just started to reset the tripped fuse ourselves each time it tripped. The food was the worst we had during our stay in Carervieo. The fish kebab was the cheapest, tasteless fish imaginable with some limp prawns, and the stone cooked sirloin steak turned out to be frying steak. The salad was limp and prepared by a chef who clearly hated salads.
