Wow, what a day! We had a real blast learning how to SUP with Nate and Joana. Just a few minutes after Nate's very instructive yet entertaining Paddling 101 we were up on the boards and cruising along the Atlantic. Amidst our paddle tour along the idyllic Sesimbra coastline, we were led by our mentors over to the so-called "secret beach" for a pit-stop. This perfect strip of golden sand fading into turquoise waters is well tucked away, so it was all ours. With refuelling in mind, Nate and Joana had a whole picnic prepared for us (involving some live chorizo flaming!) after which we snorkelled for a bit above the corals before climbing back onto our boards. That feeling of gliding across the water on a 5-star day is really something no-one should be doing without, and having Nate's highly professional yet light-hearted guidance put us all at ease and made for a dreamy experience. Words can’t express my gratitude to Nate and Mana Kai Divers for the spirit of hospitality I experienced on this trip. Nate is one of the best people I’ve ever met. So welcoming, So positive and informative and relaxed. It turned out to be the best trip I have ever been on because of his spirit and generosity and knowledge. He brought so much energy into the best experience possible for us. Just can’t thank Mana Kai Divers enough. The paddle boarding experience was truly unforgettable and the day trips. This is, by far, the best excursion company to go through. Only does small groups instead of cramming a bunch of people together. We did the paddle-boarding tour and it was perfect. He picked us up, gave us a tour of the area in his car, gave us far more time than other companies, actually paid attention to the care of the environment, provided insights about the sea life and history of the area, gave us a fantastic locally sourced lunch, and took pictures with his go pro. All of this was included in the price. I can't wait to come back!

The best instructor, the most beautiful beach, a lot of interesting information about history of Hawaii and Portugies culture, lots of fun, great experience! The best trip here in Portugal! Really professional approach with huge relaxed atmosphere! Totally recommend this company!

With my family (my wife and kids 11 & 7), booked few hours SUP-boarding where the amazing Arrabica mountains clash with the crystal clear sea. Zero overstate --> Absolute joy from start to finish! We were late, but thanks to guide Nate, it was no problem. Nate is really positive, funny and great guy in general too, but also full blown professional what comes to SUP-boarding. Personally had no previous experience of SUP, but now i know many tricks to at least appear a pro He knew just the most beautiful places and beaches within, and had insight to some really interesting history. Also answered with ease to all questions of animals and/or nature. Maybe because of his thick american accent, even for our son (self learned english from movies and videogames), there was no probs understanding every instruction of SUPping to the last syllable. 10/10 would definately do it again. Thank you!

SUP with Nate was a ton of fun and overall great experience. He's a fantastic host, very friendly and funny. Being out on clear water looking at sea life after a relaxing lunch on a remote beach was a truly peaceful and therapeutic experience! Would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to discover the area in between Setubal and Sesimbra

This trip was the highlight of my time in Portugal! Nate is an excellent teacher, and you couldn’t find a more beautiful place to go paddle boarding. Nate showed us the coolest parts of the beach, and in the middle we stopped and snorkeled around and then ate the most delicious local snacks. He could not have been more accommodating and I’m so glad I went on this experience. The next day, he also sent us a link with photos and videos from his GoPro that he took during the experience, which all came out amazing as well. Thanks Nate, it was amazing and I hope to come back to Portugal and do another paddle with you!

What an amazing experience! My wife only fell off the board once, because the was laughing too hard. Nate is a great teacher with tons of experience, knows all the best spots — and overall a lot of good fun. Aside from making paddle boarding very accessible, he'll make you want to leave everything behind and move to Portugal. And you get great GoPro footage after! Can't recommend this experience enough ...

One of the highlights of our trip south of Lisbon. Nate and Joana don’t just know the area and its history, they were great SUP coaches for beginners and experienced alike. Lots to see and a fun time even when slightly overcast.

Hook up with Nate when you are in Lisbon - he puts together an amazingly fun excursion. Nate put together a custom itinerary for 10 people including young children and there was something for everyone. We snorkeled, explored hidden beaches on stand up paddle boards, did a hike into a sea cave, and went to see wild dolphins on a boat! We even had a bbq lunch on the beach. My seven year son had a blast and so did I. Don’t miss this.

Simply amazing from start to finish. Nate and Joana were perfect hosts. They have a wonderful home and were extremely welcoming. In fact going above and beyond in every moment. We went paddle boarding with Nate and were made to feel safe and encouraged. We got a wonderful tour of the area and some fine stories. It didn’t take long for us to feel like we had known him for years such is the fun and calm nature Nate brings to the room. I can highly recommend Mana Kai and both Nate and Joana. We only stayed a day and we knew after a few hours there that we would need to plan a return and stay for longer. We were short on time but because of our wonderful hosts we got to experience and enjoy more than you would at another place if you stayed for 10x as long. Everything about our stay and our hosts was simply stunning. If you don’t make the trip to stay and hang with these guys then you are missing out.

If you want to paddle board in Sesimbra/Arrabida this is the place to come. Nate is a great instructor: super experienced, friendly and gave some valuable insider info on the local area. Can highly recommend Mana Kai for their paddle tours - perfect way to enjoy the incredible beaches and good value too!

We booked a stand up paddle session with Nate, and ended up spending a full day, learning how to Stand-up-paddle, visiting the vineyard nearby, sightseeing, and discussing life, tech and endless topics. Nate is very friendly and open minded, he has a broad knowledge of many things and is keen to share those. He has lived in a lot of different places, held many different jobs, and led a life full of adventures that he could probably write a book about it. Back to the Stand-up-Paddle, we felt really safe along the way as Nate gave us instructions and made sure we felt comfortable, as well as encouragements. We didn't have a car, so Nate came pick us up at our hotel in Lisbon for the price of a bus ticket! Book the experience before the waiting list becomes too long!

Amazing experience. I made my diving license with Nate and I highly recommend it. He is a very good instructor and I felt very safe diving with him, while having loads of fun. He was flexible when it came to course dates, and considered my wishes. I saw the most beautiful beaches in Sesimbra! Hoping to come back for my advanced license!

This place is great! We did some cool Stand Up Paddle at some secret beaches near Sesimbra with this guy Nate who is a great instructor. He puts all his love in his advices und he knows the area very well, so you'll end up at some real cool spots and it never gets boring. There's also a brand new skatepark and green-park area just around the corner to chill, play basketball, football or even chill in a hammock. So much fun! Cheers man

I did my Open Water Dive Course with Nate from Mana Kai Divers and I highly recommend it. He is amazing as an instructor, makes you feel comfortable and feel very safe. He is a very experienced diver and someone who really cares about you and makes sure you enjoy the experience. Thank you one more time!
