This is a nice cafe with a local vibe but we came to try their gluten free nata and it was disappointing. Pastry wasn’t crispy and the custard and butter gelatinous. Anyway I am sure their other products were delicious and they were really friendly. Their fresh OJ was great. I resigned myself to the fact that pastel de nata is for the non celiac’s of the world!!

Amazing bakery for food intolerances! There are gluten-free, dairy free, and vegan options. As someone with celiac, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to try Portugal's famous pasteis de nata until I discovered this place. All of the pastries are delectable, and my non gluten-free friends say the pasteis de nata taste just like the normal ones they find throughout the city.

I went yesterday really happy to have found vegan pastel de nata...they taste like soap, not just a bit, A LOT. The place looked a bit unclean and the guy who served us looked really unhappy to be there.

Ne venez pas pour la qualité de l'accueil ou pour la déco...mais si vous êtes Gluten Free et Lactose Free, alors vous êtes au bon endroit !!!
D'après ma femme qui est intolérante aux deux, a aimé la pizza (sans gluten et lactose) mais surtout les pastisseries. Mention spéciale pour la Pastel de Nata sans gluten et sans lactose. Elle connait la Pastel classique puisqu'il y 2 ans on était à Lisbonne et ses allergies n'étaient pas déclarées !
Les prix sont raisonnables.
Vous pouvez emporter les produits.

Bons plats au choix, pain du hamburger sans gluten très bon..pasta de nata sans gluten ni lactose tees bon aussi. Un seul bémol : le manque de sympathie des personnes derrière le comptoir. Le serveur rattrappe cela heureusement !!

Went to eat the vegan pastel de natas but ended up getting an over priced(2.80Eur), old(felt it was going bad) and very non tasty (Didn't remotely resemble pastel de natas) item. I'm a vegan myself and has been in portugal about 2 years.

Great place for celiacs and vegans to try classical Portuguese patisserie. They have clear labels and charts on the allergenics and the staff is always kind to explain. Though a bit pricey, the quality-cost balance is worth.

A very beautiful and well ordered place. The bar was just perfect; perfect food and ambient; very calm and respectful waiters. I will come once and twice and forever If I am hungry around Lisbon. Another reason to come here!

This is completely a overpriced place by naming themselves vegan and gluten free that NOT recommended!!!!
The gluten free and vegan pastries were disaster that tasteless, and they serve you the pastries without any common sense, like hey give you pasteis de nata in cold (seriously?)
The dough is hard and the filling is like solid paste.
The waiter there do speak English and kind but those pastries are not recommended , sorry.

I was afraid that I wouldn't have been able to eat Pasteis the nata because of my dairy allergy but thanks to Zarzuela my dream came true! I went there almost everyday during my stay in Lisbon, amazing taste, highly recommended!

Rather disappointed with this place. The location was great because we were able to see trams crossing over and there was the life in the streets. The vegan apple pastry was nice and so was the mozzarella, tomato, nut and honey salad we had. The let down was due to the fish as the entire back of it was completely raw, it was as if they cooked just the top and served it too us. Upon telling the waiter all he did was shrug his shoulders which I found rather rude seeing as we paid for a cooked fish. I wouldn't return knowing that there are so many other brilliant food places all over Lisbon.

If you are coeliac or lactose intolerant this is the place to taste the typical pasteis de nata without problems. All the menu can be served without gluten, lactose, egg, sugar if you like.
The place is quite old style but the staff is kind and the pastry are really good.
The location is also near most of the main attractions so it's good for a quick break.

A ver, es injusto un 3* solo pq es de los pocos sitios que sirven comida para los más sensibles e intolerantes, pero hoy ha sido infumable lo que nos han dado para comer, un bistek duro y frío, no nos han servido la bebida durante la misma, una pena. El personal, atento, han tenido el detalle de no cobrarnos los bistecs. El trato afable. Los postres muy bien y sin gluten.

Sou cliente há vários anos, sempre satisfeito mas a última visita não foi boa. Péssimo prego no pão, não estava comestível. Foi pedida a troca por outro mas também não estava bom. Hambúrguer com a carne fria. E pela primeira vez falta de empatia no atendimento, a falta de qualidade do prego foi reportada e não existiu qualquer interesse em saber o que se estava a passar. Espero que seja uma situação passageira.

En mi opinion, las pizzas podrian estar mas ricas y ser un poquito mas grandes. Lo bueno es que practicamente toda la carta es sin gluten. Hay bastante donde elegir, incluso postres!!! Si sois celiacos y pasais por Lisboa es una cita ineludible.

Weszlismy przed godzina 10 rano, lokal czynny prawie godzinę, a kuchnia nie była czynna. Nie mozna było zamówić nic ciepłego do jedzenia, mimo teoretycznie szerokiego menu. Obsługa ledwo kojarzy po angielsku, wiem, ze Portugalia, ale warto by znac wiecej niz kilka słów w tym języku, prowadząc lokal z usługami w centrum stolicy.

Tive uma surpresa, encontrar esta pastelaria aberta mas foi só para poder lanchar porque daí a uma hora tive que sair amalvemente foi-nos dito que fechavam. Só uma pequena crítica, é que nem toda gente tem problemas de alergia ao glúten, e já se sabe o xique paga-se.

Never had such good gluten free pastries. They are simply delicious. Specially the pastéis de nata. You can't even tell they are gluten free, the dough is perfect. Decoration could be a tad nicer.

Si eres celíaco/a es el mejor sitio (por no decir el único) de Lisboa en el que podrás probar las famosas queijadas, además de poder comprar todo tipo de bollería sin gluten, de la que os recomiendo el croissant relleno de mermelada.

Espaço pouco interessante. Tem opções sem glúten mas pouca escolha (pelo menos à hora que visitei) Infelizmente não é garantido a não contaminação cruzada a 100 o/o segundo relatos em sites de celiacos. Deviam cuidar do visual e dedicar-se mais a este nicho do mercado já que optaram por o incluir e procura não falta.

Muy caro y muy malo. Increible que tenga alguna buena valoracion. Es una tomadura de pelo. Cualquier pasteleria de lisboa es mejor. Pasteles de nata quemados, pasados, nata cuajada, ... una .... y ademas mas del doble de caros que en otros sitios. Una broma de mal gusto....

Uma padaria com uma proposta de atender ao mercado Gluten Free, lacto Free, sugar free e Low carb. Uma pena que no dia que eu fui eles não tinham mais nada. Lugar bonito, agradável, atendimento excelente e com várias opções de comida sem glúten para o meu marido celíaco! Comemos um bacon cheese que acompanha batata frita que estavam divinos! Tem também pastel de belém, sonho, éclair e outros doces sem glúten! Já está marcado como lugar preferido pois irei voltar muitas vezes!

Great for my wife who needs gluten and milk free food. OK so far? Not so fast...on the breakfast menu there was a typical english breakfast (I have no food restrictions) I ordered it only to be told it was not available until...(wait for it)..."Lunch Time!" dagh dagh! Poor waiter..."it not my fault I only work here". Ok I wasnt hard on him...I had a Mista toasted cheese sandwich which was ok. Infact I gave the waiter a tip after. My wife was happy with the gluten free stuff though.
Ótimo para minha esposa que precisa comida livre de glúten e leite. OK até agora? Não tão rápido ... no menu de café-da-manhã houve um pequeno-almoço inglês típico (não tenho restrições de alimentos) eu pedi apenas para ser informado que não estava disponível até ... (esperar por isso) ... "Hora do almoço! " dagh dagh! Pobre garçom ... "não é minha culpa eu só trabalho aqui". Ok, eu não era duro com ele ... eu tinha um sanduíche de queijo torrado Mista que foi ok. De facto, dei um gorgeita ao garçom depois. Minha esposa estava feliz com o material sem glúten embora.

This place is SO GOOD! My sister and I are both gluten free and visited from the UK. We were lucky enough to arrive when the Pastel De Nata were hot out of the oven and honestly it was the best thing i've ever tasted. We bought 12 more back to our apartment and froze some of them to have later on the trip. The coffee/hot drinks are also great and the service is friendly.

We were in Lisbon for only three days and we ate here twice. Both times we had great food, both glutenous and gluten free, along with friendly service. You may be wondering why only two stars then?
On our way out, we ordered some normal (glutenous) Pastel de Nata to give to friends, and a gluten free pastry for my Celiac wife to eat in the airport. Before the server put the gluten free pastry in a box, he placed it on the tray that had the glutenous Pastels on it (he could have just placed it directly in the box) therefore ruining it for my wife. The server didn't speak English (which I have no problem with) so I couldn't even tell him what he had done wrong. I realize there are always chances for cross-contamination, even when staff is quite careful, but it is very disappointing for a place that says they cater to people with dietary restrictions to have such careless actions. It makes me wonder if the reason my wife isn't feeling well today is because of other careless cross-contamination from this restaurant yesterday.

En mi casi hablo de su carta sin gluten. La comida bien pero se me ocurrió pedir un pastelito como postre y.... terminé con 3 cajas para llevar. Su repostería es increíble, especialmente un croissant relleno de chocolate que fue lo más rico que probé desde que soy celíaca. Y una especie de bolas que saben a donut también me gustaron mucho. En cuanto al trato, estupendo. Tengo otras intolerancias a parte de la celiaquía y el personal resolvió estupendamente todas mis dudas. Muy pacientes, atentos y cuidadosos.

Ubicata nel centro di Lisbona, a pochi passi da Praça do Comerço, è un ottima alternativa per chi soffre di intolleranze a glutine e lattosio. Ci sono dolci (tipici portoghesi) di ogni tipo e nelle varianti classica e senza glutine, per cui ognuno può mangiare ciò che preferisce!! Forse ha prezzi un pò cari e sinceramente mi aspettavo qualcosa di più, il pastel de nata si sbriciolava appena lo si toccava e non mi è piaciuto più di tanto, ma in generale più perché non sono sapori a cui sono abituata e non per colpa di come sono stati fatti dal bar. Lo premio comunque per le alternative che da, in particolar modo ai turisti che soffrono di intolleranze, di poter assaggiare dolci (e non solo) tipici portoghesi.

Great for gluten-free folk (or people with allergies)... but not a worthwhile stop for vegan food. Their pastel de nata is not vegan (just dairy free) and their vegan menu only has a few salads, a veggie burger and the saddest tofu veggie dish I’ve had in Portugal.

Solo hemos probado cosas de pastelería sin gluten: muy ricas, especialmente el Pasteis do Nata.
Queríamos cenar pero cierran a las 19:00, por lo que no podré opinar de la comida.
Un poco caro, pero teniendo en cuenta lo difícil que es encontrar cosas sin gluten en Portugal supongo que es lo normal.

Il posto non è elegante, piuttosto informale. Offre un'ampia varietà di dolci senza glutine né lattosio, oltre a gelati, pasti (ristorante) e waffel artigianali squisiti in varietà senza glutine né lattosio. Offre anche altri alimenti per allergie e intolleranze varie. Leggendo il menù ho notato anche menù per malattie autoimmuni. A parte me, ho notato altri ospiti esclamare "SONO TUTTI SENZA GLUTINE? NON CI CREDO!" Insomma un vero paradiso per noi intolleranti senza dover chiedere ogni volta!

This is a great restaurant and pasteleria for anyone with food allergies or sensitivities. I am vegan and avoid gluten as it does not agree with me so I was very excited to find this place so I could enjoy a pastel de nata like everyone else in Lisbon. It was very sweet but delicious combined with a strong bitter espresso. I also tried a plain croissant which wasn’t really like croissants I’ve had in the past but was more like a really good gluten free and vegan roll. I’d probably try chocolate or apple instead as plain needed something with it (would go nicely with some salad or avocado in it). I can’t comment on the main meals but fruit salad and other dishes I saw looked fresh and tasty. The shop could do with a bit of a refresh but its not really an issue. If you’re vegan or cannot have gluten this place is definitely worth visiting.

It's so hard to find gluten free food everywhere. This place was incredible. The coffee was incredible, the chocolate croissant was great (no, it's not that much like acroissant, but I loved pretending). The veggie burger had great taste, but was super mushy. The fries were great, not oily and the oil was fresh. And the spicy pineapple juice was awesome. Also, very reasonably priced. Would definitely come back if my waistline could afford it.

Delicious pastel de nata that is dairy free, nut free, and gluten free!!!! Heaven sent!!! Also delicious cookies with jam and chocolate! Did try the croissants, they were ok. Staff was helpful and very aware of ingredients in each item.

A lot to say about that place.
So first of all the pastries are really overrated. We tried the plane croissant, the apple croissant, the strawberry croissant and the chocolate croissant. And it might be the first time that I through vegan food to the bin. It was just really not good and really disappointing. The only one that was eatable was the chocolate one because the feeling was covering the taste of the croissant dough.
Second is more a warning. Be careful to the price asked at the till. As they try to overcharge us more than 25%.
I really advise any people to look for an other place to get some treats. There is so many amazing vegan places in Lisbon, no need to fall into this trap!

Well, I have to admit that I had high expectations but at this point, I am giving it 3 stars only for the fact that they cater for different dietary requirements. That’s great! We had a pastel de nata, the other options all looked lovely and plentiful. It can’t be easy to make a gluten free and vegan pastel de nata and I respect these guys for doing it, but maybe it’s not quite there yet in regards to the pastry.

It must be hit and miss because my experience was fairly negative. Burnt pastry, soggy almond cookies. Don't run to find it. Just deal with missing out on certain treats. That's what I decided after a few bites and threw my purchase in the bin. I'm glad others have had better experiences. No one was rude just odd and bored.

Fuimos porque era o es el único lugar donde podemos disfrutar del famoso pastel de nata. El primer día de visita y viendo horarios en la web, fuimos y estaba cerrado dos horas sin aviso, pero no pasa.... Fuimos en la mañana siguiente día y por fin pude comer el pastel. Opinión personal ok, no es bueno la verdad, pero es lo que hay, servicio pésimo, sitio frío y decadente, baños con olor propio de sucio aún siendo en la mañana, la relación calidad precio deja mucho que desear, pero es lo que hay ya si quieres probar el pastel más famoso de Lisboa. Para celíacos Lisboa no es el mejor sitio, pero si hay lugares bellos en un ciudad bella, quw puedes disfrutar sin gluten.

Sehr einfaches Kaffeehaus mit bescheidener Einrichtung. Hörnchen (Kipferl) sind gut, aber recht teuer.. Und die veganen Pastal de Nata sind sehr süß und doppelt so teuer als die normalen. Naja kann man muss man aber nicht hin.

Ich kann die guten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Die veganen Pastel de Nata sind absolut unterirdisch. Da verzichtet man lieber ganz bevor ich nochmal so etwas esse. Da gibt es in Lissabon sehr viel bessere Adressen für Veganer. Der Laden ist auch generell nicht sonderlich appetitlich. Zu allem Ekel saß auch noch eine Kakerlake an der Wand als ich die an der Wand angelehnte Speisekarte griff. Aus Höflichkeit haben wir aufgegessen und den Kaffee ausgetrunken, waren aber froh erstmal nur ein Törtchen bestellt zu haben. Es war wirklich schlecht und dazu teuer. O botanista oder Kong food sind für Pflanzenesser die eindeutig bessere Wahl (so als Tipp. Da gibt es auch tolle Süßspeisen in wirklich schönem Ambiente).

Being a celiac, I was very excited to visit this place today, and when I arrived and saw all the choices, I was ecstatic. However, we were treated as if we were and inconvenience. The man working was incredibly rude to us, which made the overall experience uncomfortable. The food itself was mediocre at best.

I tried both the gluten free Pastel de Nata and a gluten free chocolate croissant. The Pastel de Nata was OK, it was slightly undercooked with a definitite raw rim in the pastry while completely dark on top, meaning it had had a little too little heat on the bottom. The custard was unremarkeable. The flavour was not bad but not great because of this.
The chocolate croissant on the other hand was pure perfection. Loads and I mean loads of chocolate filling, the bake itself was something of the best baked goods I have ever had since I got diagnosed celiac both dough and bake had all the quality the custard tart was missing.

I went here for the paleo and AIP food, whilst I was grateful to find somewhere to eat in town I was disappointed by my dish and felt famished after eating it. The sweet potato chips should have been called chips, however the burger was quite decent.

Wow, this was a great find! I'm gluten-free, so I have to be picky about the food I eat, especially about pastries. But this place has it all! Chocolate croissants, donuts and even pasteis de nata, which is apparently the Portuguese national pastry. Tasted great too!
Note that I can't comment on the service as I took it to go. Also, they only accept cash and Portuguese debit cards (no visa/MasterCard)

Zarzuela é o lugar certo para as pessoas que gosta de apreciar uma boa sobremesa sem preocupação. Bolos, pasteis de nata, pizzas...tudo sem glúten e lactose.
A minha experiência foi ótima e recomendo.
Os valores, são mais caros que as pastelarias comuns, mas as pessoas que são celiacas sabem que os produtos sem glúten são caros e é de se esperar que tenha um preço diferenciado. Bom eu sei que voltarei a este lugar para matar a saudade de um pastel de nata

Tutto il menù è anche e principalmente gluten free e i piatti sono tanti.
Non tutti perfetti, ma alcuni siceramente molto buoni.
Anche la pizza, che definire pizza è un po azzardato. era comunque buona e gustosa.
Da celiaco è stata un oasi di relax in cui nonessere costretto a scegliere tra 2 cose se sei fortunato.

I don’t get why the lump together vegan and gluten free but I think that also ruins it.
The one we had was kinda burned, had a really hard crust and just tasted of cheap cinnamon.
Not recommended and costs 2.3 a piece when the real deal is 1.8.

Great for Gluten free Pasteis De Natta, also dairy free and vegan options, which is very rare(we didn't find another one at least). These are so popular they deliver new batches every couple of hours, so you're likely to get really fresh ones. The decor and everything else can do with a bit of work. They have a massive menu, but a lot of the things I saw didn't look overly tempting.

The reason to come here is the gf and vegan pastries.
Besides that I feel like I wouldn’t really want to have a proper meal there, but I haven’t tried.
They get 4 stars as I love the effort of them recognizing celiacs and vegans and their needs for Portuguese pastries as well!!!

If you need to eat gluten free, this place gives you the chance to have the famous "pastel de nata" anyways. They also offer a variety of other gluten free options, which I didn't try. We came looking for the vegan pastel de nata we had heard about.
We expected a hip place, but this was not the case.
It was a traditional/old-fashioned pastellaria with many vegan, gluten-free and lactose free options.
The vegan pastel de nata was nice, but it did taste different than the original recipe. It had a rice taste to it.
The staff was friendly,
but I believe our server had his first day there, he seemed clueless.

Gluténmenres hambi, Pizza, jó adagok. Paisteis de nata gluténmentes változata kapható itt.
A hamburger zsemle kicsit száraz volt. A szósz rajta nem rossz, de csilis szósznak nem nevezném, inkább édes pikáns szósznak, mert nem volt egyáltalán csípős, de legalább édes volt.
A gluténmentes pasteis de nata, nem az a levsles tésztás cucc, hanem egy puhább linzer szerű tészta, nem rossz, de melegen a tuti. Extra fahéjjal tuti.
A portugál steak tojással, babérral, sonkával, krumplival nem rossz, de egy kis mustáros szószt még eltűrt volna, hogy szaftosabb legyen.
A kiszolgálás : hm. Nem tudják eldönteni szerintem, hogy önkiszolgáló legyen, vagy pincér vegye fel a rendelést. Había puesto mis esperanzas en poder comer pasteles sin gluten en este sitio. La verdad , escasez y poco apetecible. Servicio lento aunque demasiado personal. No está a la altura de los negocios de su zona. Y para rematar sólo puedes pagar con tarjeta si eres portugués. Y me había gastado 34 euros.
Menos mal que teníamos hambre y ganas de dulce sin gluten.

If you’re celiac or have any other allergens this is the place to come and have Portuguese pastries. The owners are celiac and lactose intolerant so really know about the menu and what you can and can’t have.
If not for anything you need to have the nata. I don’t know anywhere else where there is gluten free nata and this place also has vegan nata.
It might be a little expensive but where else in the world could you have traditional nata. I will be back most days of this trip.

As far as I remember, everything in the restaurant/café was gluten-free (including pizza and lots of different cakes), which was very good for my son, who is a coeliac. The only reason I'm not giving them five stars, is that the interior is very simple and dull.

Bien porque tienen opciones para todo tipo de intolerancias y especialidades alimenticias, pero me quedé un poco desilusionada con los pasteles de nata. Estaban buenos, pero no para echar cohetes. De todas formas poder comerlos ya es un lujo! Gracias!

Nunca comí tan mal en Lisboa. Todo congelado, malísimo. Pedí tofu y tenía sabor a frito x3 veces, con un regustillo amargo.
El servicio pésimo, apuntaron la mitad de los platos y un servicio muy lento. 9€ por un plato de verdura congelada y no bien hecha siquiera...

We were 9 people and they put all of us in a table of 6. The prices super expensive and the quality and quantity was super super low. The dish of the day was meat and it was super hard. A dish of tofu with vegetables for 9e (both ingredients frozen). The only good thing is that they have gluten free food

Wrażenie wizualne słabe, ale duży wybór bezglutenowych ciastek, rogalików, pączków itp. są także bezglutenowe zapiekane tosty, hamburgery i pizzę, a nawet gofry. Drogo - pączek 2,4 euro, gofer z cukrem pudrem 4,8 euro. Zdaniem syna wszystko bardzo smaczne.

I get why this would be a perfect place for people with gluten allergies because of the large amount of dishes for different diets, but if you don't have anything to look out for I wouldn't recommend eating here. My burger was dry & didn't have much taste and I really disliked the service that they offered. I give it 3 stars only because I think that it deserves recognition for the gluten free food.

Excellent healthy food shop with everything from gluten free pastries to a gluten free hamburger! Excellent ice cream without sugar and gluten. The staff were very helpful and patient too.

This place is a happy place for every person who need to follow a gluten free diet. They have also option without lactose and without eggs. Everything on the menu is available in a gluten free version. Also, there are a lot of desserts and pastries to eat there while drinking a coffe or to take away (you will also find a gluten and lactose free version of the famous Pastel de Nata ). The staff is kind and care. The atmosphere is "authentic" and it will let you feel as a local. Absolutely recommanded!

Service was a bit slow so avoid if you're in a hurry. Not the type of place you want to hang around really but the gluten free + lactose free nata was really good. Not sure these do not contain eggs however so if you're vegan, make sure to ask!

Der Betreiber sagt es wären keine ohne Ei möglich. Seltsam sowas von einem Laden dieser Art zu hören, was würde wohl eine Standart-Konditorei vermelden, wenn gefragt würde ob es Pasteis ohne Lactose und Gluten gibt. Nun ja, wie auch immer, meine Begleitung schwärmte das ihr Pasteis vorzüglich war.

Todo sin gluten: pizzas y bollería. Muy bueno. No es económico y pese a decir que puedes pagar con tarjeta llegado el momento te dicen que sólo aceptan tarjetas portuguesas. Eso después de haber dejado una cuenta de 100€.

O cardápio sem gluten é realmente amplo, mas o atendimento é ruim. Garçons sem paciência. Além disso a cozinha não funciona o dia todo. Com isso não há pizzas, sanduíches e outros pratos o dia todo. Uma pena, pois há potencial, mas não se explora.
