Me and a friend (both experienced riders) booked a 2h beach ride and it was not to a satisfactory standard. Firstly our guide was extremely ignorant and spent most of the time on her phone which didn’t give a good vibe off . Also we hardly touched the beach ! We went on the beach for two minutes and told we wasn’t allowed to trot as it was dangerous. Also we had two dogs come with us that was running in the middle of roads,chasing other dogs and entering other people’s property. Now I don’t know if this is normal around Portugal but I had my heart In my mouth hoping a car didn’t come round the corner whilst still the guide was on her phone not bothering to ask if we were ok or keep the dogs under control. However the horses were very well behaved and the owner did make sure we were happy with our horses. Not worth the €80 we spent and would not recommend!

Booked for beach ride for 2 experiences riders. Was only on the beach for 2 minutes before leaving. Fran, our guide was very ignorant and was on her phone the whole time which did not set a very nice atmosphere. Not at all worth the money we paid for it.

Ok, but riding route outside of compound kind of boring. Compond not very attractive, although central location. Cash only, no receipt... Aha.

Today we had an hours hack out with Bev, my wife is a experienced rider and I am somewhat of a novice haha. There was no need for any gear they supply everything, I turned from tourist to John Wayne haha. Talking to Bev straight away I realised this was a very safety conscious riding centre as everytime we travel we end up going for a hours hack somewhere, and most of the places are happy to stick myself on any horse which would be out of my skill set. Amazing hour and very helpful friendly staff think I enjoyed it more than the golf. Thanks Bev we are off to the beach now thanks to you recommendations hope to return again. The woman ignores totally what client says, does not explain the service provided, rip you off and does not provide proof of payment, not even when asked for. She wants easy earned money without any consideration regarding clients satisfaction, typical rip off, RUN! My kids were absolutely disappointed: I explained exactly what level my daughters are and what we expected (one has been training for over an year, the other could ride but had less experience even if she has been several times for rides in the woods, beaches etc). I was promised on a phone call a 20/30 min ride on paddock to get used to horses and a nice long 1h ride through the woods. Considerably less than 1h (AT TOTAL) and they were already back, and charged 100 euros! The kids said "mum this was beyond ridiculous, she just took us to the back of the property". I was advised by Portuguese friends to complain on fraud department of FARO which I will do. I called to complain to the owner IMMEDIATELy after the ride and she did not let me speak or explain, started talking over and justifying herself. Typical. Informactions erronees, 100 euros pour nettement moins d'une heure de cours et une promenade pathetique quand elle avait parle d'une belle promenade de 1h dans les bois. Je l'ai contacte pour une reclamation sauf qu'elle n'ecoute pas, ne m'a pas laisse placer un mot, parle rapidement en se justifiant, bref a fuir. Just read the answer she gave implying "I did not understand" and adding more lies: The first phone call was in Portuguese my natural language and I repeated all in English and as anyone can see, I speak English rather well. I understood perfectly every word (hence the disappointment) but the service wasn't provided. Proof of payment WAS asked by LAURA and not provided either and I complained IMMEDIATELY after, less than half an hour after and she didn't let me place a word Yes we are disappointed and I stand to every word said here. It is YOUR duty to make sure clients are aware of service can provide, you failed to do so, going the easy way. My daughter didn't want to ride,she was hot and you forced the hand saying the horse was saddled.You failed to provide what was agreed, failed to provide proof of payment ( no email received with any proof of payment) and simply ignored complaint. We didn't see a single Portuguese rider there and now we know why. Lady, people do not leave these reviews for "fun" we are telling the experience we had in your club to hopefully avoid other families the same bad experience. Not possible to rip off people now a days and get away without a public complaint, the most important to you is give your lame justifications and not to truly listen to any of what i have to say here. Honest serious people do not act this way.

Lovely ride out today with Beverley. The yard is spick and span, the horses lovely and Beverley the owner is welcoming and caring, both for her horses and her clients. I felt I was in safe hands and enjoyed myself thoroughly. A great experience. Thanks.

Just back from the Algarve where I enjoyed five wonderful hacks out with Pinetrees Riding Centre. Superb horses, friendly and safety conscious staff, and lovely countryside. What more could you want!
