Good variety of gins with great prices. Staff really friendly. Decoration is quite traditional of a Portuguese "tasca". The bar is usually quite packed but there is always a little corner for me and my friends and, also, the option of take away. Recommended

Fuimos por instinto la primera vez, pero la segunda repetimos porque sabíamos a lo que íbamos. Excelente bar para tomar cocktails. Tienen una carta muy innovadora (también tienen clásicos), y todos, salvo 2 que son bastante fuertes, te los puedes beber de arriba a abajo y de abajo arriba otra vez. La única pega, es que no cobran con tarjeta. Siento lo apagado de las fotos, pero la luz es muy tenue, lo que le da el punto perfecto al ambiente.

The district of Bairro Alto is a thriving community with centuries of history and culture which is focused on a local community providing a heartbeat to this district. There's a mix of experiences in Bairro Alto and if you want to find the heartbeat, avoid the discount bars and student haunts. The bars, cafes and restaurants in Bairro Alto which project cool, generally are cool, so trust your instinct and you'll meet great people in great places. I met Fred at Janela da Atalaia and he and his bar are very cool indeed. Fred grew up in Bairro Alto and he now serves his peers in a bar which offers genuine service in a genuinely local Lisbon bar. Great beer, great music and great conversation are the hallmark of a great bar and Bar Janela da Atalaia exceeds, so check it out and don't be shy!!!

I really liked the atmosphere in this bar when I first discovered it, but twice they found ways to upcharge me. The first time I asked for a rum without specifying which one, and they poured the most expensive one in the bar. I should have learned my lesson, but I went back for a whisky, which, when you have it as a shot is 2.50€, but because it was poured in a glass with ice, they insisted on 6€. This is the only place in Lisbon that seems eager to take advantage of foreigners.

Just go here, you won't regret it. Best atmosphere in Lisbon and the drinks are so reasonable! I'll be back (terminator sound)

En bordure de trafic, bonne musique jazz et rock un peu patiné, quelques voisins s'y retrouvent, il y en avait un en pyjama... Idéal pour commencer une soirée au calme avant de faire les bars de nuit. Les prix sont pas mal abordables. Le personnel top sympa et parle français. Petit bémol: la cigarette à l'intérieur... je recommande

A place for everybody. Always good music playing, mostly Rock&Roll. But the highlight of the place is definitely the cocktails. Amazing cocktails properly served and affordable.

Great cocktails! Prices are the same as the way too crowdy bars downhill, but the drinks are way better. Friendly staff, definitely worth a visit when you're visiting Lisbon!

Average drinks at good prices, unfortunately the staff is quite rude. Many better places to go to in the area.

Bom ambiente, música Rock e excelente atendimento.

Nice bar, quaint inside with friendly staff. It's a little removed from all the madness of the nearby bar scene, so that in itself is a blessing. It also serves through a handy window to the outside if you prefer to stand on the street.
