Très grande variété de vin, bien conseillé. Excellent produits. Nous recommandons vivement en ce qui concerne les planches de charcuterie/fromages. Saumon très bon également.

O lugar é acolhedor, boa decoração com o espólio à vista. Grande selecção de vinhos tendo sido surpreendido pela presença dum feito através da uva moscatel roxo.
A qualidade da carne do filet mignon foi muito boa. Carpaccio idem porém beneficiaria dum pouco menos de rúcula.
As tábuas mistas são uma agradável companhia ao ex-libris da casa, os vinhos.
Fácil acesso e por ser Lisboa facilmente efectuado a pé.

Choose from some 150 wines in this small (15-20 seats) wine bar that also serves a good range of cheese and sausages. Proper meal also available (did not try). The staff is very knowledgeable and bonus: no Fado.

Enjoyed 2 meals here- good steak - Sommelier style fillet was beautifully tender and flambéd at the table- sauce was rather salty for our taste and they had no potatoes/ salad garnish the 2nd night, making do with the veg used with the Tuna - was ok. That said the recommendation for wine was excellent and the service good with nice Jazz music - deserts simple but tasty. Would return.

Absolutely amazing place. I did not eat big meal here; just fresh goat cheese and wine. Cheese was really fresh and served with homemade pumpkin marmalade. I am not sure which one I like most but both was very delicious. I took the wine the owner recommended and it was a nice wine (can be seen in my pictures). No fado music but you can enjoy mellow jazz melodies.

Wir waren zufrieden: Der Douro-Wein war sehr gut, der Port ok, das Essen haben wir so spät am Abend nicht probiert. Leider war die Bedienung bei unserem Eintritt etwas unwirsch und hat uns trotz Nachfrage auch nicht wirklich beraten. Dennoch würden wir wiederkommen, sollte es uns nochmals in diese Gegend verschlagen, da Ambiente und Musik sehr angenehm waren.

Out of 5 steaks every one was under cooked. Sent 3 back twice and still wrong. If a restaurant cannot cook steak why bother. Customers next to us also complained about steak, 4 people left without ordering after seeing our steaks. Starters and wine were ok as was ambience hence 2 stars.

Cave à vins avec un très bon choix de vins locaux et de très bons conseils. Nous avons pris une planche mixte (tout y était très bon), un dessert et 4 verre de vin pour 40 €.
Excellent rapport qualité prix. Ambiance détendue et jazzy.

Une très bonne adresse pour déguster une copieuse planche de fromages et charcuteries régionales, le tout arrosé de vin (carte extrêmement variée !). Sur les petits moins : le service, sympathique, peut parfois être un peu long et les plats, bons, ne sont pas spécialement exceptionnels. Un chouette lieu pour grignoter de bons produits entre amis donc.

Fantastic food and even better service. We went on a whim and had the sausage and cheeseboard which we learned was selected by the owner from specific regions around Portugal. Also , we left it up to him to recommend a good red wine for our dish, along with a lovely beef dish, and the wine was great. And he didn't select the most expensive in store. You could see he's very much a food and wine conosieur . Lovely restaurant and would recommend to anybody.

Es war ganz ok. Nette Einrichtung und Musik. Ich fand das Essen in Ordnung, die Bedienung war nicht unfreundlich aber sehr zurückhaltend.
Das Lokal hat ziemlich große Auswahl an Weinen, allerdings den Wein, den ich bestellen wollte, gab es nicht. Der Kellner hat einen anderen empfohlen und der war gut. Für Tapas und ein oder zwei Gläschen Wein ist das Lokal sehr gut geeignet.

Excellent restaurant. Je rejoins les autres avis. Le serveur/Oenologue/cuisiner.... se démène pour vous servir. Certes il y a de l'attente mais ça vaut le coup. La viande était tendre, le bacalhau excellent et les vins... Variés et très bon. Rapport qualité/prix correcte. Compter 25 € par personne pour apéritif entrée partagée plat et un verre de vin. Un petit endroit paradisiaque pour les amateurs de bon jazz, vins et bonne nourriture... Endroit cosy, prix raisonnables (12€ le plat), propriétaire sympathique et œnologue. Réservation recommandée car très demandé ! Un must pour les touristes jazzy. Une petite pépite au coeur d'Alfama et son Fado...

Spent two very nice evenings here with two different very courteous waiters. Good food, very fine wine, excellent port wines. On the third evening, our last one in Lisbon, waiter no. 3 told us „no more room for two, good bye“ while only two tables were occupied.
Would still go there again and hope for one of the first two waiters.

This is on our doorstep and highly recommended. The sirloin steak was cooked to perfection, nicely seasoned potato wedges and a lovely salad, dressed with a zingy sauce. The wine was a full bodied red, which accompanied the meal just right. This food is cooked with a passion.

Waouh ! Génial et très bon ! Essayez la bakalhau et laissez vous étonner. Et les vins ! Le patron est un fin œnologue et il sait parfaitement conseiller ses vins. Il m'a emmené faire des découvertes gustatives étonnantes.

-High Quality Ingredients
-The owner clearly knows what he is doing and works very hard to deliver a quality experience.
-He does everything except wash dishes and prep small plates, so he is busy and can only afford time to the food and service. Expect to be charmed by the food, how he runs the ship, but not necessarily his personality, which only becomes charming when he is behind his portable station cooking food on the spot for you. Truly, beautiful to watch!!!
-He is an artist, doing great work as a chef, so go into the restaurant with this in mind.
-Lastly, get the crepes. They will be something my wife and I will remember for the years to come.

Finally a Wine bar that IS a WINE bar as advertised! Thank you for the wonderful selections, and different wines ( and not just " house wine: bag in a box wine" what a relief from last place down the hill. Wonderful service, we enjoyed!

The ambience is really nice. Good wine and service. My steak was really chewy but the salad was on point. I might have just gotten the bad piece of meat because my friends all had really good food and were loving it.
I would give it a second chance because it was overall really good. Until then I'll give it only 4/5 stars. But according to my friends it deserves the 5

This place is well recomended... Small menu for food, large collection of wines, jazz music and great deserts... the service is good and more on the background (not a full entertainment thing at your table), just the way we like it.

Excellente table, accueil chaleureux, polyglotte, de très bon conseil et passionné. Ambiance musicale particulièrement travaillée qui change du fado. La déco est pleine d’humour. Bref un très bon endroit. La cuisine y est fine, cf l’assiette de fromages et les histoires qui vont avec. Le Pata Negra est à tomber par terre et pas cher. De judicieux conseils en vin par un fin connaisseur sont venus couronner cette excellente soirée.

Phenomenal wine - we just described what we wanted very briefly and ended up with something absolutely perfect and extremely high quality that was only €5.50 a glass. Have had similar quality for €20 a glass in other places

We made a reservation online but unfortunately the host does not check the online reservations at all - so we had to wait in order to get a table for four persons. Also we have ordered the steak two times but only got two half portions for the full price each and the taste was only average.

Its a small wine bar with big selection of wines and the staff were very helpful. About the only downside is there is a pretty small food menu but the dishes we tried were very good. My steak was excellent and was cooked by our table which was fun to watch. We went middle of the week and it was very quiet, like the other restaurants nearby, with just one other table in use - which personally I liked. It was easy to spot with a blackboard outside saying "We play Jazz not Fado"

This is the place to enjoy the wonderful wines of Portugal amidst the cheeses and charcuterie's of the peninsula. Great Service, good jazz music and really nice tapas in a really authentic part of town. A bit small if you are in a bigger group.

This place was amazing. The staff is hard working and very friendly. They did amazing recommendations and we went back to our apartment drunk and happy. The music (jazz) was pleasant but a little bit to loud. Overall, worth a second visit!

Delicious!! Fabulous wine & the steak dinner was amazing! Not to mention that it was cooked right at the table side making it a bit of a dinner and a show! Go early to get a seat or make a reservation. The chocolate dessert was also wonderful!

Excellent place for cheese and meat lovers. Their produce is fresh and fantastic.
The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.
The wine menu is also very extensive.
It's a 5 star experience with a reasonable price point.
It's far enough out of the tourist area and generally filled with locals.

Great wine bar with a huge range of Portuguese wine to choose from. Small menu consisting of mostly Portuguese cheese and cured meat with a couple of hot dishes available. Great service from knowledgeable staff, if there were more stars I'd rate this place higher.

Leckerer Port für kleine Preise (insbesondere im Vergleich zu den großen Namen aus Porto), die absolut überzeugen.
Bei allen Weinen erhält man eine kompetente Empfehlung. Insgesamt sagen mir die Weißen Weine aus Portugal nicht sonderlich zu - da kann die Weinbar aber nichts für :)

We didn't eat here, but didn't feel welcome at all. We entered when they opened at 7pm and they told us that they are fully booked and we could potentially have some luck around 9-10pm but they didn't even offer us an option to reserve for later. They gave us the feeling that we weren't welcomed. Bad vibe.

We have nothing bad to say about this place. All the food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxed, the wine was great. We went on our first day in lisbon and went back again on our last, having found nowhere better in between.
The food consists mostly of portuguese cheese and sausage, though there are a few other options on the menu as well and those that we tried were well executed. The whole enterprise is clearly a passion project for the (presumed) owners, one of whom was on hand to recommend specific wines for us based on our preferences and our food choices (the other ran the kitchen). If we're ever back in Lisbon we'll be sure to check them out again.

Really great place with chilly jazz music and a very friendly host who recommended us a red wine that was perfectly to our liking (Terra do Zambujeiro 2010). Steak and crepes were prepared a la minute right next to our table (very delicious!), platter of 4 cheeses and 4 sausages can also be recommended. Will come again, that's for sure!

Die Auswahl an warmen Speisen klein, aber sehr fein zubereitet. Die Auswahl an Weinen ist grossartig und war absolut passend zu unseren Speisen. Falls wieder in Lissabon, komme ich wieder!

Stopped in here a few times over the past few days. Great wine selection (soon to be even larger in January). Hundreds of bottles to chose from. Fantastic meat and cheese selection.
It's a relaxed atmosphere with chilled jazz background music and a friendly, professional, host.
I'm looking forward to my next visit to Lisbon so I can pop in again.
