I truly recommend gecko surf school. Pedro is an enthusiastic surf instructor with lots of experience and he is constantly giving you tips to improve your surf skills. Aside from his passion for the sport, he's an extremely friendly guy. 5 stars!!

We had a great time with Pedro. He is an excellent surf teacher, offers a great experience, full equipment and special attention to all of his students. Pedro is very patient and encouraging with kids. I highly recommend him and can't wait for the next lessons this summer!

Esperienza indimenticabile
Prima esperienza con il surf ed è stata un successo. Le condizioni dell’oceano erano buone, l’altezza dell’onda circa 1 m, la tavola adatta ad ognuno e la muta calda, ma la cosa che ha fatto la differenza è stata la capacità di Pedro e Ines nel gestire un gruppo di 10 persone di cui 8 bambini. Tutti si sono divertiti un mondo e sono riusciti ad alzarsi in piedi sul surf per cavalcare un onda. Grazie ancora a Pedro e Ines.

We had an amazing experience with Gecko surf school! The beach is great and Pedro is really patient and professional! It’s my third class with him and I highly recommend it for individual or group classes. Last time I went there with a group of friends, everybody enjoyed it and we will definitely try it again!

Absolutely amazing experience! Me, my wife and my 2 kids have had several lessons with Pedro... My 9 year old son after 15 minutes in the water was standing on a wave and I can prove it (see foto)! I know how difficult it is to teach and motivate kids but with Pedro everything seams so easy!

Pedro est un très bon professeur. Nous avons passés un super moment.
C’était notre premier cours et nous avons pu être en autonomie rapidement.
Pedro est disponible et n’hésite pas à donner de bon conseil (même en dehors du surf).
Je vous recommande les yeux fermés.

Pedro es un excelente profesor y con mucha paciencia!! Tengo 34 años y era la primera vez que hacía surf. Consigue que te sientas agusto entre las olas. Fue muy divertido! Lo recomiendo para aquellos que quieran iniciarse.

Me and my bf are taking surf classes with Pedro weekly and it was the best decision ever. He is great teacher, super chill, always calm and most important: he clearly loves what he is doing, so there is no rush, he takes his time in each class and let us free to surf until we get tired... I super recommend this guy!!

We have been doing the surf camp with Pedro for 4 days and it was really nice. We explained us the best practices about surfing very kindly, and he tried to give us the knowledge about amateur surfing.

Pedro is the kind of teacher that's loved by everyone. He is really comitted to learn you everything about surfing in a very professional but relaxed way. The communication is easy and the materials like the surfboards and wetsuits are great, it was all like brand new. Prices are fair. If you are looking for a nice surf opportunity on a good location with a great vibe, I would higly recommend Gecko Surf School.

It was a really cool experience. The instructor, Pedro is a very nice guy, he paid attention to all of the students and always gave feedbacks on our surfing attempts. My second lesson was supposed to take place in the morning, but I couldn' t make it and Eduardo was so kind that he offered me to switch to the afternoon session. Highly recommended!

The experience was amazing and the instructor was very charismatic and a profesionist. Sorry bro I m not good with names! He managed to teach me and my gf to successfully ride a wave in under two hours! I highly recommend!

O nosso centro de estudos só tem a agradecer a aula proporcionada pelo Pedro, pois era um grupo 5 alunos em cada aula e fez questão de dar atenção a todos eles de forma individualizada.
Todos os alunos gostaram da forma como foi dada a aula e da forma como lidaram com eles... para repetir de certeza.

Gecko Surf School 's classes are well organised, with all the material necessary for a great surf experience. Caperta is an experienced licensed surf teacher with a a talent to teach others, and it shows! We did a group class with around 10 friends, some adults and some children, and it was amazing ! Extremely recommended! 5***** !

Pedro was the best! I called him in the morning and told him where we were staying and he just said “ok cya at 10 to 2!” And that was it. Hours later we were in his van headed to the beach. We did a semiprivate lesson with Pedro and he taught us the rules then got us on the water and one at a time we kept being pushed into awesome waves. He was so helpful, fun and adorable! We had a great time. Highly recommend. Thanks so much Pedro!

Pedro is an amazing guy!! Book a lesson with closed eye: it is a perfect teacher who really loves taking care of his students. Imagine, you can dream of surfing some waves in your first lesson!!!

Pedro was a great teacher, both with my kids (12 and 14, quick learners), and me (almost 50, a bit out of shape, with flexibility being a thing of the past). He was relentless in getting us to push ourselves to get to the next level, keeping the atmosphere light and fun. If we go back to Lisbon to surf, we will definitely do it with Pedro.

I surfed for the first time !!!!! I recommend Gecko Surf School for beginner or experienced surfers who wish to move to the next level! Pedro and his staff are dedicated and patient. They had all the attention with me and even being the first time I tried to surf I felt very comfortable inside the water. I was able to stand up in the first class !!! I really recommend the school.

Para quem tem o bichinho de querer aprender a surfar, mas não tem a coragem de se aventurar sozinho, eu recomendo vivamente as aulas do Pedro!! Excelente professor, super paciente, com muita experiência e sempre disponivel para ajudar e dar aquele incentivo!! Recomendo ... a todas as idades, generos e feitios!! :-)

My first experience with Gecko Surf School and Pedro was in 2016 and I had never tried surfing before but it was great fun. Pedro is a great teacher and it's obvious that he really loves what he does. I felt we all got the help and attention we needed in the water. In 2017 we gathered a group of friends and family and went back to Caparica, we were in total 13 people and we stayed in the Gecko Surf House, which is great with its private garden and swimming pool and only a short walk from the beach. Both grown ups and children enjoyed the surfing and we will be coming back again.

Visited Caparica 5 times last year (2017) and each time I surfed with Gecko, I'm not saying that I know how to surf but I went from only seen a surfboard on TV to surviving, and sometimes surfing, crazy (in my opinion) waves. Pedro the owner of Gecko Surf School totally kick a** when it comes to teaching how to get on and ride that board. The picture of me is after a few days in Pedros good hands. :)

Very professional tutoring, friendly atmosphere and great fun!! This school provides lessons for both children and adults in a pedagogical way. I have been here three times and recommend Gecko highly. They also have a very nice hostel close to the beach.

I spend a great holiday! The place is welcoming and clean. The garden with pool is well maintained and brings peace to mind. The host is lovely and made sure we got everything we needed. We took some surflessons with him and we had the best time! Perfect holiday to spend with friends or family!

I had a fantastic time working together with Pedro of Gecko Surf School to host a surf and yoga holiday week in Costa de Caparica. Pedro is an excellent surf teacher. He is very friendly and truly cares for his students. He does his best to make sure everybody have a good time, and progress as much as they can at surfing. I can definitely recommend Gecko Surf School for your next surf experience in Portugal.
