Cigarette smoke put us off. Staff were lovely and good selection of International beers. Got a non-smoking table but it was still smokey. We didn't stay.

Espaço a meia luz, com um ambiente digno do típico pub inglês. Ideal para ver jogos, dispõe de um serviço rápido e simpático. As asas de frango estavam bastante boas, e foram o snack apropriado para uma noite de música ao vivo (um pouco alta demais, dificultando a conversação).

C'est le meilleur British pub de Lisbonne. L'accueil est chaleureux... Le décor est assez proche pour se sentir comme en Angleterre... Et les plats sont vraiment excellents.... Je recommence vivement leur Fish and Chips, le Bœuf Wellington et le traditionnel Sunday Roast !!!!!!!

Went there to watch a football game. The beer is good, the prices are a little bit higher than in other places but still adequate. The atmosphere is chill and the stuff is very friendly! Would definitely visit again.

A little expensive. Smokers area inside and not separated from the non-smokers (shouldn't even be allowed, but ok). Not a great variety of beers. The place is nice and well located, but does not worth the price. First things first: ban the inside smoking. This is ridiculous.

Leuke kroeg. Lekker biertje. Je kan er eten maar hebben wij niet gedaan. Alleen jammer dat er binnen gerookt word, sigaretten is geen probleem maar sigaren is NOT DONE!! Daar is ruimte niet groot genoeg voor.

This English style ‘pub’ was breathtaking. We had the Sunday roast for 2 and the food was to die for. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Couldn’t recommend more!

Optamos por uma sugestão do dia Bife com cogumelos e molho de natas acompanhado c arroz basbati. Pedimos para substituir o arroz por batatas , não sabiam se era possivel tinham q perguntar ao Chefe.... Quanto ao Bife nao tinha gosto mal cortado cheio de nervos e o molho completamente frio. Acabaram so por trocar umas batatas . É pena o Bar / Restaurante é bem situado mas a comida pessima não merece 2a visita

Buscábamos un sitio a media tarde de sábado para tomar una cerveza y casi pasamos de largo.
El local tiene encanto, mesas de distintos tamaños, las sillas una de cada madre.
Los camareros y camareras muy jóvenes y muy atentos haciendo esfuerzos por hablar español (con los jóvenes lo mejor hablarles en inglés, se defienden todos).
La cerveza muy buena y el precio también.

Um pub com boa comida, uma decoração simpática e música ao vivo. Optamos pelo fish and chips e o tártaro, acompanhando por boa cerveja. O restaurante estava pouco preenchido e os pratos demoraram a sair para a mesa. A musica ao vivo num ambiente de pub é uma magnifica companhia para um jantar numa noite de inverno em Lisboa.

Ziemlich beliebte Bar im Herzen Lissabons. Über die großen Bildschirme flimmern bis zu zwei Spiele gleichzeitig, bei unserem Besuch war es Fussball und Rugby. Die Tische sind eng gestellt und gerne bis auf den letzten Platz belegt, entsprechend lebendig ist die Atmoshpäre unter der steinernen Gewölbedecke.

Nice spot to hang out solo on a business trip. Lots of 2-person tables that they’ll gladly assign to a solo diner. The food was pretty good for bar food, and the bar itself is nice. Atmosphere is better-than-average Irish pub. Staff was pleasant and welcoming, and spoke English very well.

Located in a central part of Lisbon and gorgeously decorated with a modern-old fashioned feeling, this pub is among the best in Europe, hands down. The beer selection is nearly unparalleled being personally sampled and selected by the owner himself. The menu is exquisite with an accomplished chef and a wonderful kitchen staff. The waiters are kind and courteous and service is fast. Just awesome. Thank you for a great time, George Pub!

Совершенно уникальное место в центре Лиссабона. Есть ЧЕШСКОЕ пиво. После четырёх дней местного пива, вдруг набрёл на эту отдушину! Хозяин- потрясающий человек( да и ещё говорит по -русски). Был во время трансляций лиги чемпионов- забито под завяз, но похоже ребята умудряются посадить всех. Подтаскивают стулья из подсобки, какие то табуретки . Закуски как в любом пабе.
Изысков нет, но все вкусно. Теперь каждый вечер только здесь.

Um sítio cheio de bom gosto. Adoro o espaço onde convive um ambiente de pub/bar inglês com muitas televisões cheias de desporto enquanto se assiste a um jogo de futebol pode-se acompanhar um jogo de Ruby e ver os resultados resumos dos outros jogos. A variedade de cervejas e muito boa o que me leva a ficar um monte de tempo a escolher a que quero. Quanto ao atendimento apesar de nunca ter sido atendido pelo mesmo empregado todos primam pela boa educação e sempre prontos para dar uma dica sobre as cervejas

Stopped off for a few drinks, I've not tried the food but the menu looks OK. This is the closest I've found to a pub selling a lot of different beers.
The decor is cool I was there midweek so I was very quiet. Next time I'm in Lisbon I would stop by.

Loveliest staff and great food! Some of the best friend chicken I've ever had. Beautifully presented, the batter of the chicken was light and crispy. Not like the usual fried chicken from KFC. We also had the Chorizo bathed in Brandy orange pieces and honey and it was delightful. Definitely for the sweet tooth this dish. Also tried out the George's own take of the Mojito. More berry than than the traditional. Overall great experience! Will be back!

The cocktails are not good.
I think you can cook your food much better then these guys.
And careful at the waiters: they will lie you about wi-fi password, they will start inventing stories if you ask them and they will definetelly forget to bring the check.

Super Lokal ! Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden. Sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Leckeres Essen und tolle Cocktails. Wir waren an einem Mittwoch dort und hatten das Glück die Live-Musik mitzubekommen, von der wir sehr begeistert waren. Pro Cocktail zahlt man um die 8€.
Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

Cozy place, staff is quite nice, but I was not impressed with the food, which was why I went there in the first place, but I can only speak for my own experience. Perhaps I'll go back someday to give it another shot. I ordered a bull steak and asked for medium-rare. Well, it was raw in the middle and very tough, hard to chew.
The chips were OK, but the spinach puree was a very small dose hidden under the steak and chips and didn't taste that great, too vinagry for me.
I had an apple pie for dessert which was good, but again not that great.

We had awful food, undercooked fried chicken and the worst nachos I’ve ever seen. The management promised us it was a one off and that they normally serve great nachos with home made guacamole. We enjoyed the football and beer, it’s a nice place.

Sehr gute live Musik, die Angestellten sind super freundlich und haben einen guten Blick dafür wenn man noch was trinken möchte. Obwohl ich allein Reisend war hab ich mich keinesfalls alleine gefühlt. Preise sind absolut okay und man kann hier sehr entspannt den Abend genießen. Man darf auch im Pub rauchen ob okay oder nicht.... Aber man darf. Gute Lage einfach zu finden.

Expensive and when I visited they showed some nfl game on the main screen instead of showing Wales play against Croatia in a European qualifier which was the on the small screen. Clearly not a English pub in any way

I had misgivings about an English themed pub in Lisbon, but I wanted to watch a Rugby world cup match during a visit to the city and found The George which was showing it. This place is great, fantastic food (among the best 'gastro pub' casual dining experiences I've had) and a wide selection of drinks to suit all needs.

The place it self is pretty nice, but i would say its really overpriced as they charge you almost or more than 10€ for any drink that isnt a soft drink or beer... staff could also be a little more caring and a bit more nicer...
And if you're not a smoker, you might be in for a mildly unpleasant time, because even though the pub is ventilated, the ventilation it's self is not that great.

Expensive pseudo British pub with posh hipster maneirisms. I was served a draught beer that still tasted of the previous drink served on that tap, with varying waitering quality and sympathy. Do not recommend, looks like a desperate attempt at making British costumers feel like home

Si eres británico y estás dando una vuelta por la capital de Portugal, lo cual no es nada difícil, este es uno de tus sitios. Pero cómo no es mí caso te puedo decir que este es un bar tipo pub donde comer una ración con una buena cerveza, caneca según es el estilo en Lisboa, medio litro de cerveza vamos, mientras ves algo de deporte en sus múltiples televisiones en un sitio cómodo y de buen ambiente

Classico pub inglese, non turistico, buon cibo, buona birra, bagno molto pulito. Personale molto gentile. Unica pecca la musica ad un volume altissimo e 4 televisori enormi per vedere le partite, ma forse era una serata particolare.

How it is portrayed it seems like a English pub but far from it. I didn't like the place and I don't think my partner was to taken on it either. There was a football match on the T V but other then that it was quite full.

Ze noemen hun café een biercafé en op google staat dat ze Duvel hebben wat niet waar is. Hun keuze aan bieren is zeer beperkt. Belgische bieren enkel lichte en donkere leffe en Grimbergen van het vat.

We were only there twice and on our second visit the server welcomed us back and knew our drinks!.. now that is service!!.. The food is also lovely.. The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating is because of the smoking allowed in the bar..

Der Pub ist richtig gut um Fussball oder Rugby mit Bier zu gucken. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich, die Preise sind für Lissaboner Innenstadt auch ziemlich gut und der Pub ist schön eingerichtet.Alles in Allem ein tolles Ausflugsziel mit Kollegen.

Just happened to be in The George when they were showing both the Cricket World Cup final and the Men's Wimbledon Singles Final. Amazing atmosphere, and the staff were incredible keeping a packed pub all happy.

Bom atendimento, pessoal simpático, serviço lento. Bebidas caras para PT(pint guiness = 6€). Fish and chips com bacalhau fresco um pouco salgado mas saboroso e batatas fritas moles. Risoto também saboroso e equilibrado mas arroz muito cozido a lembrar carolino. Ambiente agradável com música de qualidade a permitir conversar sem incomodar.

We went for the Sunday Roast beef dinner. We googled to find one. We reserved, mentioning the RBD. There is no Sunday Roast beef dinner! Argh. If you don't serve it, why advertise it? We left because I'm not going to spend money in a place that deceives me to get me in. It was also dark and not fresh, but hey, it's a pub.

Pick your seats medieval style table and chairs, or comfy couch & coffee table , watch your favourite sports on telly , grab a pint and try the Seared Tuna steak , tasty onions on a bread roll , comes with a few chips or other meals and snacks off the extensive menu. As a Brit visiting Lisbon I expected a 'wetherspoons' feel to it but it was surprisingly much nicer than your average spoons/pub! Cocktails were very reasonable (€7-9), great quality, excellent service and by the looks of it great food!

Right in the heart of downtown Lisbon. Very well appointed. Leather armchairs. Great selection of draught beers. Never ate there but what food I saw being served looked fantastic. Reasonably priced.
They have at least 4 TVs for sports. Maybe Premier League on one. Tennis on another etc, so there are no disagreements. Excellent place. Oh and very close to the Metro

Great choice of beer and food for sport bar, price wise it's a bit more expensive than the average price in Lisbon. Atmosphere wise it's a blast I would definitely recommend to have a beer on this bar on a rainy day

Se procura um lugar onde pode conviver com os amigos, ouvir música ao vivo e estar completamente relaxado, este é o sítio ideal para si. The George apresenta um ambiente acolhedor e tranquilo.
Pode escolher jantar e depois beber um copo com os amigos tudo no mesmo sítio.
O Único problema é que pode ser um pouco caro para sua carteira sendo que os preços das bebidas/comidas são um pouco elevados. E relativamente ao menu, temos poucas opções.
Mas, assim que tiver uns trocos a mais e um tempinho livre passe por lá com os seus amigos e veja de perto o que este tem para oferecer. Tenho a certeza que serão bem recebidos.

This was our 4th time in Lisbon and everyone we have a drink here . Its styled like an English pub this isn't the reason we go. It's a beautiful building and they show football. Food is good too

I went there on a Friday evening and totally loved it. In a nutshell: live music, good cocktails, pleasant atmosphere, not too loud, simple but well decorated. The bartender offered to make a cocktail that was not on the menu, which added up to the already high score.

English pub in Lisbon, for those moments when you simoly cannot eat another piece of codfish
The beer is good and relatively cheap, they also have some food items which I havent tried.
In typical english pub style the location is just a bit run down, but it wouldnt be a pub it it were sparkling new and squeeky clean.
Good place to hang out with friends, live music, sports on the tv. Would recommend.

As always in Lisbon, very friendly staff. However the bar is an ergonomic nightmare ( for watching football) and the Management are the only people who actively disregard the no-smoking protocol.

Crowdy but looking like a real british bar. Was there to watch a football qualification match for the world cup. Many people there watching and cheering. Good place to watch a match. get there early to get a seat.
Couldn't taste any food. But the drinks are ok. A pint of beer for around 3,10 euros is OK for a touristy place.
