Went to Iceland (Portimao) this morning (Monday) I didn't see any hand sanitisers or any staff wearing face masks. They do not seem to be taking this virus as seriously as other Supermarkets when protecting their staff and customers

Adoro este supermercado, me gusta pasar por los pasillos de las chocolatinas y pasteles, que son la especialidad británica por excelencia. La leche está riquísima, los bollitos de pasas y los mince pies son una auténtica delicia que no se encuentran en ningún super en España.
Si eres un entusiasta de la comida inglesa este es el paraíso, toda la variedad de Heinz, desde las salsas hasta las beans en todos sus formatos, pork pies, corn beef, todos los cereales para el desayuno,...... EL PARAÍSO.

We wont be buying fresh sausages from the butcher's counter here anymore...we bought some pork and leek ones the other day. Fried them up and were very disappointed by the quality...they were very mushy and full of gristle and bits of bone! The smoked bacon we bought was lovely, but we'll be going back to ready-packed sausages from the shelf after this experience! We're also concerned about the heat in the Portimao store (apparently there's no air conditioning installed in this store). Temperatures were higher inside the store than the 28 degrees outside!!! I wonder about melting chocolates etc on the shelves...we may not go there again in the summer months Never had such problems with the Guia store!

Com produtos interessantes com uma boa selecção de doces e guloseimas inglesas e outros produtos originários daquela ilha vale a visita mas convém que a carteira seja generosa mas é uma magnífica escolha para passear um ar agradável simpático e diferente de corredores e mais corredores

Different products that you won't find on portuguese supermarkets. Prices are a bit too high as well, but understandable - workers might get better wages than the portuguese minimum wage, so it justifies the prices somewhat.

Gosto de adquirir alguns produtos neste espaço. Para fazer o meu yogurte de kefir compro leite gordo de garrafa,que acredito venha das vaquinhas que abundam por aqueles maravilhosos prados verdejantes que vi ao longo de todo o caminho que percorri de comboio entre Bristol e Southampton!

Great store to grab some of those home comforts you may be missing. Really well laid out, clean and well stocked. Nice wide aisles, ideal for buggies, wheelchairs and trolleys. Some great offers when I visited and reasonably price considering products are imported from UK. Very pleasant English speaking staff serving quickly at the checkouts. Stockists of Iceland and Waitrose.

Sehr gut sortiert. Tolles britische Angebot. Pingelig sauber. Preiswert, aber nicht unbedingt billig. Insbesondere tolle und günstige Käsesorten. Das Personal spricht ein perfektes Englisch und ist wunderbar britisch freundlich. Helle, angenehme Atmosphäre, aber etwas klinisch. Einkaufen ist hier schnell und unkompliziert erledigt.

Good range of UK products but be prepared to pay a high price on many items. The same products can often be found cheaper at local supermarkets.

If you like British food and beverages a "must-go". You can buy all the British cheese, salads, sweets, beer etc. and they also have a big variety of frozen food. The staff is extremely friendly.

Absolutely brilliant. It may be owned by Iceland but the range of all those English foods you miss is excellent. And the prices are very good. Unlike a lot of small English supermarkets where you do pay for the privelige. Parking easy as well. To top it all the lady on the till was English.

Supermercado inglés con productos propios. Tiene muchos chocolates, té y sopas y salsas inglesas. Buen sitio para curiosear y llevarte productos diferentes que no ves por aquí. Tienen bastantes clases de chucherías para niños y los no tan niños. Aparcamiento amplio. Llévate una bolsa porque no tienen baratas de plástico. La que venden vale 0,75 céntimos.

Vale a pena lá ir para dar uma vista de olhos, pode ser que encontre alguma coisa de que goste. Todas as semanas tem produtos diferentes em promoção. Encontra coisas que não existem no mercado convencional e embora os preços sejam no geral mais elevados, também existem produtos que valem a pena, por exemplo pizzas congeladas e o pão nann.

Les anglais ont acheté des villas partout que ce soit au Portugal, en Normandie ou dans les Alpes. Faisant flamber les prix de l'immobilier et obligeant les locaux à s'éloigner. Non qu'ils souhaitaient profiter d'un autre mode de vie que celui de leurs origines, mais bien qu'ils voulaient adapter les lieux à leur mode de vie. Tout comme le Brexit le démontre, ce supermarché bien propre est une colonie britannique au Portugal et permet ainsi de se sentir chez soi, entre sois, dans sa langue et avec les produits de chez soi, une caissière de chez soi. Une certaine idée du dépaysement....

We are regular customers here, but until they sort out their aircon we won't be back. Shopped today and it was almost unbearable, exactly the same as 2 weeks ago. On both occasions I asked a member of staff and was told " it's broken ". About time you sorted it Iceland/Waitrose.

The worst supermarket in Portimao. Staff is rude, management is unprofessional without the customer care you deserve and expensive stuff compared with other Portuguese supermarkets selling British products as well. Staff wears Iceland uniforms not even being Iceland representatives, weird thing !!!!

Wide aisles, clear displays, some range of choice. Some improvement in fresh foods, but mostly a place for preserved and frozen foods from Iceland and Waitrose. Friendly English speaking staff, but all supermarket staff are friendly in Portugal :-)

First British stock shop to open in Portimão, before this only place which was close was Iceland in Albufeira, friendly staff and a little coffee shop where you can eat some cake and drink some coffee. Overall a good experience, and a good place to come buy products that are exclusive to England.

É um bom supermercado mas peca por estar tudo em inglês, e os funcionários não falarem Português. É de lamentar. Estamos em Portugal. Se fosse ao contrário teríamos que falar inglês. Acho que é uma falta de respeito para com um País Soberano.

O melhor atendimento ao cliente da cidade! Funcionários simpáticos e dispostos a auxiliar o cliente. Boas promoções e preços abaixo ou dentro do valor habitual de mercado, não acima. Today at 90% of it's normal 100%. Waited 10 minutes for service at the cafe! Last visitwas on a Sunday I was told the cafe was closed. Good to see it was open even if I had to wait. However when served the normal excellent service was given. Staff are normally well motivated today a few grumpy faces around the store! Hey cheer up it will soon be Xmas

The cashier was not well trained and rushed the goods through the cash desk while the person in front of me still had her shopping unpacked she was an elderly person and was getting nervous as her goods were getting mixed up with mine not a helpful cashier no empathy for the customers .will think twice before I go back.

Clean, tidy with friendly staff and a good selection of products. I was averse to shopping here as I don't have a hankering for products from back home but sometimes the lure of Yorkshire tea bags is too strong to ignore. The parking is free and plentiful which helps if you have over bought.

Magasin britannique donc produits britannique. Le rayon boucherie est bien fourni en agneau et mouton. On trouve même des abats. Grande choix de bière.

Love it love it love it! What more can I say!!!! This supermarket had everything I had been craving for from the UK, and more that I hadn't even realised I missed! I felt like a child running round the aisles grabbing items excitedly!
I know a lot of people say its expensive, and sure, compared to Lidl etc it is, but the stock you are buying is worth every cent in my opinion!
Long may you continue Overseas Iceland - thank you for being in Portugal! I will see you again in some of your other branches in Spain soon! ;)

Sem produtos frescos além da carne, apenas congelados e embalados. Não tem atendimento em português (apenas uma colaboradora é portuguesa).
Boa variedade de chás, cereais, chocolates, e aperitivos, como batatas fritas e afins.
Nao recomendo os produtos da cafetaria, uma vez que são todos, lá está, congelados, e o sabor é textura nada agradáveis (nem os preços).
