Bellissimo. C’è una passeggiata lunga e a volte scoscesa da fare.. ma ne cale assolutamente la pena. Peccato non abbiamo fatto il tour in nave per arrivare fun dentro le cave. Ma vabe..davvero bellissimo. Prossima volta . Assolutamente !

Dieser Ort ist ein MUSS bei Aufenthalten an der Algarve!
Man sollte sich selbst mit einer der dort angebotenen Bootsfahrten in die Höhlen und entlang der durch Sonnenlicht erstrahlenden Kùste belohnen!
Lediglich das Finden eines Parkplatzes gestalltet sich etwas schwierig!

Encantador paseo por los acantilados de la Playa de Benagil. Aconsejo no traspasar las zonas acotadas pues es realmente peligroso, sobre todo para los niños.

Imposante Steilküste an der man am oberen Rand entlang wandern und grandiose Ausblicke (aufs Meer) und tolle Einblicke (von oben in die Höhlen) hat. Diese Höhlen kann man auf verschieden langen Bootstouren (teils mit Badestop) ausgiebig besichtigen. Abfahrt in mehreren der malerischen Buchten. Dort ist auch Baden möglich, ebenfalls kostenloses Parken.

If visiting the algarve then the sea walls with all of their caves ( most only seen by boat) are a must see. Several companies offer tours. This is definately a must!!!

Im Februar mit Neoprenanzug machbar. auch ohne- wenn man nicht so Kälteempfindlich ist. Schwimmt etwas weiter hinaus, die Wellen können ziemlich stark sein & somit ist es in der Nähe der Felsen nicht ungefährlich. Sehr schön innen. Man kann vom Parkplatz aus auch von oben hinein sehen (nur 2 min Fußweg)

Wunderschöne Landschaft. Mein Reisetipp ist das Frühjahr. Da kann man herzlich wandern gehen und in Ruhe an Strand liegen. Die Ausflüge mit dem Boot kann man sich sparen. An bestimmten Küstenabschnitten sieht man genug.

Un posto di natura fantastico, assolutamente da vedere. Si può visitare in barca via mare oppure a piedi passeggiando sul costone, ci sono ottimi sentieri. Portarsi scarpe a tennis e bibite/cibo! Si può lasciare la macchina in un parcheggio gratuito adiacente all'inizio dei sentieri pedonali

Alot of tourists and boats even in October. Swimmed to the cave,it is not so hard if you can swim with bigger waves butbe careful because there are alot of boats around. Boat captains are friendly though. Inside of the cave is quite rocky.
You must take waterproof bag for your phone if you want to take incredible photos inside the cave.

Well worth the visit. In the summer it gets crowded from the boats but the view is still captivating. Recommend in off season or to go very very early and swim with a floaty or something for safety.

Prachtige grot waar je met de boot in kan. Een aanrader is met een kajak vanaf Praia Centeanes naar de Benagil grot (je vaart ook andere grotten in) peddelen (40 min). Terug wordt je met andere kayak teruggesleeot. Tocht van ca. 2 uur

Beautiful cave and if you're a swimmer, you can swim there or you can rent an SUP to get there! Definitely recommend it!! If you can, take a waterproof phone case and take photos from the inside!!

Fomos de stand up paddle até a gruta, que vc aluga ali mesmo, pagamos 30 euros, o que não é nem um pouco barato para um voltinha de uma hora, a remada foi bem tranquila, a chegada que foi um pouco tensa, os barcos que chegam na entrada da gruta formam umas marolas, é preciso ter bastante equilíbrio pra não cair, não aconselho ir de barco, pois, vc não poderá por os pés dentro da gruta.

Just spectacular, breathtaking, mesmerizing, I'm short of words for that. We went there in Jan so no boat trips were there to take us inside, but there's a walking trail to discover this beauty by foot. If you're claustrophobic or just don't wanna spend that much money, this walking trail is very good and recommended

Excellent place to visit during summer or winter. Preferable when there is no wind and no rain. Yellowish of cliffs gets most beautiful at sunrise or sunset.
Great place to stay and just observe sea, sky and cliffs, or if you like photography, spare some time as it deserves.

Very beautiful tourist attraction, but definitely make your reservation before you go. Waiting times to get inside the cave are really long. You can see the caves from above by walking a little through the parking, but would recommend to take a boat/kayak/tour to see it from inside.

Probably very nice when accessed via boat from the sea, but from above we could not see anything. As we visited in December, there were no boats, also high tides swallowed the beach and the surf seemed rather rough. We had a beautiful hike on the cliffs , though, and the entire shoreline is spectacular. For visiting the caves I recommend asking locals (particularly in off season) and allowing more time to coordinate water access and tides.

Un lieu magique et atypique un trou dans le toit d une grotte qui abrite une plage accessible uniquement par la mer. Pour mon deuxième passage ici toujours par le haut je n ai toujours pas foulée le sable de la grotte. Mais nous avons fait la rando des 7 vallées suspendues et c'était génial on recommande grandement attention en été le soleil doit cogné fort !

Niestety ze względu na fale i niespokojny ocean nie wpłynęliśmy do jaskini ( tak naprawdę do żadnej jaskini). Przed wykupem jakiejkolwiek wycieczki radzę zapytać, czy na pewno będzie można wpłynąć do jaskini.

Absolutely wonderful caves near the carvoeiro beaches.
It's a lovely village with wonderful people. I visited around November which is so called off season but trust me I loved it so much. Less crowds but some shops were closed but that's absolutely fine since this was so wonderful, awesome romantic place. It has a long walk around beaches through some old caves.
Such a romantic place, if I were to settle after 60-70 it would be this place so lovely. I my wife loved it too

Algarve is beautiful and caves are really impressive, don't hesitate to visit this unique place. Good swimmers can swim in (careful with the waves and the tourist boats), or less experimented can rent a kayak.

We did the hiking trail there. It was moderately easy. The views of all the cliffs and caves were amazing. You can also pay to go see the caves on a boat.

非常漂亮的洞穴，可惜只从上面看了一下。但是什么都看不到，用了selfie stick才拍到一张照片。如果有下次会选择更暖和的季节乘坐独木舟过去，或者浮潜游泳过去。

Muito maneiro!
Considere que seu ponto de saída será a praia de Benagil. Você pode alugar um SUP ou Caiaque, como também pode ir nadando (eu fui em 5 ou 10 minutos, sem pressa).
Eu fiz um passeio de barco pela Taruga, mas eles não entraram no algar (embora tenha visto barcos de outras empresas lá).
O lugar é realmente surreal. Uma praia coberta, com duas imensas clarabóias!

En el Algarve, entre Carvoeiro y Armação de Pêra, se encuentran algunas de las formaciones rocosas y cuevas más hermosas del mundo. La más conocida es la cueva de Benagil (Gruta de Benagil), donde también se encuentra el Algar de Benagil. Esta gigantesca cueva recibe también el nombre de Catedral de Benagil debido a los arcos que forma, los cuales vistos desde el exterior de la cueva, la dan la apariencia de una catedral. El aspecto imponente de la catedral junto con sus diversos tonos de amarillo, nos recuerda el poder devastador de la naturaleza. Durante años, el viento y el agua excavaron una de las cuevas más maravillosas del planeta, que atrae a miles de turistas al barlovento del Algarve cada año.Pero la verdadera maravilla se encuentra en el interior de la cueva. Para empezar, su enorme tamaño nos hace sentir como si estuviéramos en un palacio. La segunda cosa que notamos cuando entramos en la cueva es la forma de sus paredes en espiral, que se elevan hasta el algar (el agujero en el techo). El color de las paredes oscila entre el naranja, el amarillo y el blanco, en una explosión de tonalidades tan deslumbrantes que es difícil creer que no hayan sido pintadas por manos humanas. Otro de los fenómenos que causa admiración es la playa de su interior y su agua de mar. El agua de mar adquiere un color turquesa dentro de la cueva, que nos transporta a una isla paradisíaca en el medio del Pacífico.

Nearby there is a beautiful beach and a beautiful tourist place and excellence
There are many tourist activities including a boat tour and visiting the surrounding caves
At the top there are panoramic ocean views that are both fictional and attractive

The place is beautiful and you can see the sunset or the sunrise that runs deep into the ocean
I would recommend stopping in this place before arriving in Lisbon while coming from Spain and enjoying the most beautiful times and the happiest moments.

ويوجد بالقرب من المكان شاطئ جميل ومكان سياحي جميل وبامتياز
توجد فيه أنشطة سياحية عديدة منها جولة في القارب وزيارة الكهوف المحيطة
كما توجد في الأعلى إطلالات بانورامية على المحيط خيالية وجذابة
يوجد حول المكان العديد من المطاعم
المكان جميل ويمكنكم من خلاله مشاهدة الغروب أو الشروق الممتد على عمق المحيط
أنصح التوقف في هذا المكان قبيل الوصول إلى لشبونة أثناء قدومكم من أسبانيا والاستمتاع بأجمل الأوقات وأسعد اللحظات الممتعة

A gruta mais famosa do Algarve que todos os anos é visitada por milhões de pessoas
Durante o verão é um entra e sai de barcos de todos os tamanhos e de quase todas as localidades costeiras algarvias
Além dos barcos também kayaks, paddles, e pessoas a nadar de tal forma que os nadadores salvadores da praia de Benagil são obrigados a estar dentro de água a controlar para que não hajam acidentes

Beautiful caves that look scenic from above and below. You can catch a speed boat that will take you around a few of these. But they won't allow you to step down in the water in the caves. Alternatively, you could hike a little and see them from the cliff, along with beautiful view of the sea and Benagil.

Gorgeous! Must do if in area like all suggest. Probably opt to even drive there also and walk on the nearby coastal walkways & inside cliffs etc. Too cold &rough to swim during late Nov but summer months, I can imagine it to be a hell of an experience.

Impresionante!! Podéis llegar nadando (está muy cerca de la orilla) o bien alquilando una tabla de pádel o en barco. Recomiendo la tabla de pádel, ya que además de visitar la cueva, puedes visitar las otras cuevas y alrededores

Von oben sehen diese Höhlen und Grotten nicht so spektakulär aus. Die meisten Touristen werden sie von unten, vom Schiff aus zu sehen bekommen. Wir waren hier bei ziemlich unwirtlichem Wetter ️ (für Algarveverhältnisse). Vom Parkplatz geht ein Weg nach links, ehe man nach 2- bis 300 m die Grotten erreicht. Die beste Sicht bietet sich nach einem kleinen Aufstieg; besonders zum fotografieren!

Immer völlig von Touristen überlaufen, auch jetzt im winter.
Das Schwimmen zur Höhle wird von den Lifeguards verboten obwohl es kein Problem wäre. Lifeguards sind allgemein sehr unfreundlich.
Kein einziger Parkplatz für Wohnmobile und Fahrzeuge über 2.20m Höhe in der ganzen Umgebung! Überall Fahrverbot für Camper!
Katastrophengebiet, ausser man mag touristige, überteuerte Bootsfahrten!

Parking is difficult so be prepared to walk a bit to get to the beach. You can walk the beautiful trail up top and then head down for a lovely swim.
You can do kayak tours of the caves.
This beach is specifically Praia Da Marinha
There are a couple carts to buy water and snacks up top and a restaurant just off the beach. We did not try the food at the restaurant.

Ein Absolutes Muss für alle Urlauber an der Algarve. Haben eine Bootstour zur Besichtigung gemacht.
Allerdings werden wir beim nächsten mal privat hinfahren. Dann am besten in den Morgenstunden oder am späten Nachmittag, da es doch sehr gut besucht ist. Absolut empfehlenswert

Worth a visit even if you consider it out of the way. You can see the main cave from up above even if you don't take the kayak to go in. Get a decent pair of sneakers and and just walk along the coast.

High risk! Be aware! Three cars broken into whilst we were walking around the beautiful scenery. No notices to indicate theft risk despite police knowledge and local restaurant knowledge of this occurring. DO NOT LEAVE PERSONAL ITEMS ANYWHERE IN CAR. They go into the boot as well as breaking the window to gain entry. Van full of holiday luggage was cleaned out, all items stolen. Don’t let this happen to you. It is devastating. Park safely.

Не верьте гугл карте - сюда нельзя подъехать на обычном авто. Нужен джип. Проще оставить машину на стоянке и идти пешком. Пещеру лучше смотреть изнутри. Но для этого нужен каяк или надувная лодка.

AMAZING ! These caves are the most beautiful place in Portugal for me . Firstly we took a short walk above and then we go down to the beach .
Its worth to take a 30 min. (or 2h) boat trip, because you go inside the caves where is impossible to go another ways.

Schwer zu finden, da die portugiesische Boots-Mafia nur die Stellen anzeigt, von wo man für 25 € mit dem Boot hineinfahren kann. Geht auf den Parkplatz (2.20m Höhenbeschränkung) und geht an die Küste von dort zu Fuss. Man kann von oben in die Grotte schauen....

We didn't have time for a boat trip so we just went for a walk and checked the cave from the top. The area is fenced so you can't see much, but it's very tempting to sneak in and see the beauty of it.

Aunque este lugar es una maravilla, que no os engañen nuestra fotos idílicas, pues este lugar nunca está solo, está completamente abarrotado de gente durante todo el día, además de canoas o barcos que llegan hasta aquí y vuelven a traer muchos más turistas y así durante todo el día. Aún así merece la pena visitar este lugar.

We came here twice - once on one of the countless boat trips that come here, and then later that day by paddle board from the beach.
It was far more awe inspiring by paddle board!
When we came on the boat, we’d spent an hour and a half coming at the coast stopping at every cave, cove or beach on the way so when we arrived we had coastal fatigue and although impressive, it was just another cave. The boat goes in as far as they can but it’s hard to get an idea just how massive this cave is.
The second time we came we hired a paddle board at Benagil beach. It was fairly windy so landing in the cave was quite tricky, but well worth it. It is a spectacular place. We were lucky and it was quite quiet at the time. Although never alone there were only a few others around.
It’s well worth a visit. I imagine in the summer it must be mobbed, but if you can find a quiet time it’s well worth the visit.

It is a breathtaking cave and area I really recommend to go on a boat tour first (we did the Arctic Seagull, I recommend them but the crew may differ since they are seasonal workers) you will see a lot of different caves and hopefully understands how dangerous some of them are especially when the waves and winds are strong. I also swam onto the cave but you need to be fit and a good swimmer to do it safely don't swim to close to the rocks or the boats. I don't recommend to swim into the cave since it's dangerous!

So so so amazing to behold. I had wanted to kayak out but the weather was too bad and we ended up taking a tour. At first I thought it was expensive but after going on it, it was so so worth it. Make sure you hike the top as well as see them from the bottom.

The caves are great both from the water and walking on the top of it. There are plenty to see.

Esant viduje gražu. Ir smeletas krantas ir vandenynas ir pro olos skylę patenkanti saulė. Bet ši grožį galima pasiekti tik vandenynu. Atvažiavus su mašina taip paprastai nepamatisi. Šalimais kur yra papludimis nuomoja baidares neperšlampemus maišelius telefonams. Plaukti netoli apie 100 metru. Bet po to plaukia dar toliau palei uolas, gražus vaizdai. Плавали в пещеру два раза. Брали на прокат каяк, 50 евро в час. Супер, самостоятельно и без группы. Лучше плыть рано утром, когда ещё нет огромного потока других туристов, тогда можно спокойно сфотографироваться в пещере. Но прокат открывается в 9 утра. И да, прокат расположен на вершине, а пляж внизу. Обратно каяк тащить тяжело , метров 400
вверх. Во второй раз взяли сап, это надувная доска, на двоих, с веслами. Ещё дают в придачу непромокаемый карман для телефона и сумки для вещей и камеры. Сап на двоих-25 евро в час. А вообще, если вы умеете плавать, без проблем доплыть самому, только сумка непромокаемая нужна для камеры или телефона. Пещера очень близко от пляжа, просто за выступом скалы не видно. Плыть метров 250,300на лево,если смотреть с суши. Если вода тёплая, то без проблем. Очень много видели людей, плывущих туда кто на чем, с досочками , с надувными шариками. Другое дело, что каяк или сап даёт возможность поплавать дальше вдоль красивых скал и высадиться на недоступном с суши пляже!

Amazing view, you can walk along the coastline and see multiple caves , but if you want to actually get inside them, they can only be reached by boat. There is a large parking place right above the caves, then a 6-7 minute walk to the actual caves.

Sehr, sehr schöner Ort! Aber natürlich auch sehr gut besucht. Wir sind vom Strand aus hin geschwommen (ca. 100-150m). Vor der Cave ist ein lifeguard. Die Stand-up-paddle sind völlig überteuert und die Kajaks ebenso. 1 Stunde 50€, das geht gar nicht! Spart euch das Geld und schwimmt rüber. Es sind zwar noch andere schöne Buchten direkt neben der Cave, aber solche kann man auch kostenlos finden!

lo bueno : naturalmente es increible , se puede acceder a la piedra furada por medio de balsas alquiladas o propias , nadando (cuando la marea es baja ) o en stand up .
lo malo : la playa es muy pequeña , no es un ambiente muy familiar que digamos y siempre esta repleta de gente , al ser un playa muy pequeña debes ir temprano porque al momento de subir la marea te quedas sin lugar donde sentarte .

An incredible cave, only accessible by sea, that holds a huge open natural dome, connected to the ocean by two entrances and a top skylight, formed by the fall of the dome's ceiling. Great if you visit by boat, but if going by SUP (there are a few rentals nearby) watch for speeding boats, and make sure to carry a life vest. The waters can be rough and the coast is mostly inaccessible cliffs with beach on either side. You do not want to be in a leaking inflatable SUP without a life vest. That being said, it's certainly one of the most fascinating shore features in the Algarve and an exclusive experience.

This is an amazing natural wonder. Beautiful, and inspiring - you can touch the 90 million year old (according to our guide) fossils in the walls of the cave, and the water is clear and gorgeous. However, It was a bit crowded, and the surf was fairly rough today.

Un auténtico paraíso creado por el paso del tiempo y la erosión. No podrás creer que existe hasta que lo ves con tus propios ojos. Para llegar mi pareja y yo fuimos nadando. Tardas unos 10-15 min dependiendo de la corriente. No lo recomiendo para personas que no estén en buena forma física. Recomiendo ir temprano, nosotros fuimos a las 8 de la mañana aunque el agua estaba helada y ya había gente, poca pero ya había... si vas más tarde ya te encontrarás un lugar masificado de turistas y que perderá todo su encanto. Madrugar siempre tiene su recompensa y una buena foto también jejejeje

Aufjedenfall sehenswert! Am Badestrand wird davon abgeraten zur Cave zu schwimmen. Verboten ist es nicht. Vorort werden kajaks und stand Up Paddle verliehen. Zwischen 15/30€ je nach Dauer.
Wir haben den Weg mit einer Luftmatratze angetreten. Vom Strand bis zur Cave sind es ca. 200 m. Es gibt zusätzlich die Möglichkeit sich die cave mit einem Boot anzugucken. Die Boote fahren allerdings nur an den Eingang der Höhle. Aussteigen ist nicht möglich. Würde von der Bootstour abraten.

Ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Man sollte allerdings möglichst dahin wenn nicht so viele Touristen da sind und bei Ebbe, damit man Platz hat in Höhle.
Die Höhle ist schwimmend erreichbar, also nicht diese überteuerten Bootstouren buchen ;)

Stunning Benagil Cave can be accessed from overhead via a path near the top car park. The have it sent can be reached by water only, so you'll have to rent a boat/kayak/sup or be a keen swimmer. Sadly we didn't get to visit as the water was choppy and the current was too strong to swim. I will certainly attempt the journey again!

Really amazing place, just step on the boat and the shipper will go to 5-6 caves. The caves are beautifull. Shipper will guide you around and will tell you all about the history of these caves. The place is stunning for sure, although if you are walking on the top, the fences could have been placed closer to the hole. Otherwise if you want to see sth at all you have to jump through the fence and stand closer to the edge.

Lovely natural car, but the beach itself is quite small, and unfortunately it's not kept very clean. There are signs saying swimming to the cave is unadvisable as it's a 200mt swim while the currents are often a bit strong. Anyone in a reasonable state of fitness, however, should be fine. There are very expensive SUP (20€ an hour) and kayaks (50€ an hour) available for rent. There is virtually no shade on the beach, so bring your own umbrella or bear the sunshine!

Eine wunderschöne Felsformation! Empfehlenswert ist morgens und spät nachmittags zur Höhle zu schwimmen. Die Boot trips möchte ich überhaupt nicht schlecht reden, allerdings verlassen die Gäste das Boot nicht. Also gibt es nur Bilder vom Boot aus. Man kann recht einfach zur Höhle schwimmen vom Strand aus. Dauert ca. 5-10 Minuten. Seepferdchen Schwimmer empfehle ich die Strecke nicht. Meinerseits würde ich ab dem Teenageralter die Strecke empfehlen und das zusammen mit einem Erwachsenen.
Keinerlei Eintritt oder kosten für den Besuch. Was vielleicht wichtig ist für die vorsichtigen "am Strand zurück bleibenden", in der Höhle ist kein Handynetz verfügbar, also ein schnelles "alles ok" kann man nicht versenden per SMS oder WhatsApp.

Caves are wonderful, but amount of people coming to see it is unbearable and overwhelming. If you are in Benagil do not rent kayak /SUP or trip on the boat, just swim to the cave you will save 30-40 € and enjoy the swim. They keep a life guard in front of the cave what is really comforting especially when you see all those people coming to the cave. Most probably it would be great to see the cave early in the morning 7-8 AM

It was ok. A busy place - lots of boats, SUPs, kayaks, etc. Trip itself - 30 mins of that is enough. Everything was nice but it would be better to experience such things in less hectic manner. I.e. on your own, with less people around.

The boat ride was better than the caves. The caves are more impressive if you visit them by foot, from the beach.

Una espectacular cueva a la que sólo se puede acceder desde el mar. Se puede alcanzar a nado desde la playa de Benagil o bien en canoa. Aunque la forma más cómoda es en alguno de los muchos cruceros en barca o lancha, que podrás contratar en cualquiera de las localidades cercanas y que te permiten ver el resto de cuevas existentes, en los acantilados de esta zona del Algarve.

É un posto che va assolutamente visto, specialmente dal mare.
Abbiamo preso gommone che partiva direttamente dalla spiaggia di Benagil,
15 euro 1/2 ora Rafael é stato bravissimo é entrato in grotte strettissime.
