Ouch. .30 cents per km over 60km??? That really hertz. Can’t see why I would use your service again.

Não venha aqui. Funcionários treinados para enganar o cliente. Sou cliente Avis Preferred e vou manter-me assim. Desta vez resolvi alugar num site AutoEurope porque o preço era francamente inferior. Ainda assim, mantive minha reserva na Avis porque confesso que fiquei com receio. E assim foi. Logo quando chego ao balcão o funcionário perguntou-me se já alguma vez tinha alugado com eles. Respondi que não, ao que me esclareceu que ia explicar como funcionavam. Quando olhou para o voucher da AutoEurope fez logo cara feia. Quando retiro os documentos e o meu cartão visa diz-me levantando de pronto a voz e sem mais nada que não ia aceitar o cartão porque era um cartão refeição! Ao que lhes respondo já viajei e aluguei carros em todo o mundo: EUA, Brasil, Austrália e é a primeira vez que oiço isto. Mais a mais o senhor nem no terminal passou o cartão. A Avis aceita sempre. Ele aí refere pois a Avis e outras companhias e nós não. Terminei a conversa e desconfiada do preço baixo que tinha pago e que achei que me iam impingir coisas ou que era algum esquema, transmiti-lhe que ia seguir para a Avis. Como cliente Preferred dirigi-me logo ao piso superior para buscar a viatura (5 minutos se forem Preferred não fiquem no balcão da Avis no piso 0 do aeroporto). Dollar e Autoeurope grande SCAM! Fujam!

Arrived at 7.15 pm to Hertz counter ( booked with Dollar ) and took a ticket . Had to wait 3 hours and 15 minutes for my turn !!! With 2 young hungry children ( only 2 people serving at the counter ) .When My turn finally arrive I asked to be covered for full insurance , only to be told that I wasn’t covered at all ( not true as I had very basic insurance ) and that I could take the car with or without insurance only at a cost of 720 euros ( just the insurance ) for the 2 weeks !!!! This is a TOTAL ROBERY ! I felt a “ gun on my head “ . Asked for options and the assistance told me there were only the option : with or without insurance ! Asked to see the manager but there wasn’t one ! Asked for the RED BOOK ( complains book ) . They are very “ crafty “ as the poster stating that there is a complains book is inside the counter in a little Courbet not at full view if the public. A TOTAL shambles! Please please ask for the complains book !

Do NOT use Discover Car Hire and/or Hertz-Dollar in Lisbon. I recently rented a car with Discover Car Hire and was quoted $127 for a three day rental. The voucher had a mileage limit that could be unlocked at 18 EUR /day. Hertz said their charge was 80 EUR/day at the rental counter. I called discover car hire and they said to pay the charge and that they would reimburse me. Upon closer look at the Hertz receipt, 45 EUR is listed for unlimited mileage and 150 EUR for a "vehicle upsell" charge that discover car hire will not reimburse. Both companies are unethical and will try to scam you, Stay far away!

Hertz in Lisbon airport, I only have positive feedback to give. Their service was good, I prebooked and didn’t have to que inside. The car was ready, almost a new car in working order. A polite person behind the counter. Alltogeather a good experience. July 2018.

Ridiculously long lines at the airport, have been waiting for at least an hour. Unfortunately it seems all the rental companies in the airport are similarly understaffed/slow. Nobody staffing the desk for key pickup when we got to that stage. Told to wait some more, despite there being someone not doing anything else at the 'rewards' desk.

Been waiting over an hour, there is no rhyme or reason to how they are being people up. Worst rental experience of my life.

Beware of the milage restrictions! 0.30 per km over 60... strongly recommend avoiding this company, we ended up paying way more than originally anticipated

Een ster is al teveel! Ik heb een auto gehuurd bij Dollar in Nederland Online. Op Lissabon aankomend stond ik voor een gesloten balie van Dollar. Ik werd een balie verder verwezen door een opgeplakt biljet op het desbetreffende raam. ?? Deze balie is geen Dollar maar Hertz?? Het afgesloten contract bij Dollar werd overgenomen en VERANDERD in ándere REGELS en wél van Hertz. Bij Dollar was het beperkte kilometers 60 km per dag. Bij Hertz onbeperkt, wij blij ! Wat gebeurd er...je krijgt een nieuw contract van Hertz... dus denk je hé onbeperkt rijden!!! Onze vakantie hadden we dus 600 km extra gereden..........En wat doen ze? We moesten die 600 km gewoon betalen....€ 0,37 cent per kilometer. Reken maar uit Beste mensen laat je niet verleiden hier in Nederland nog Portugal om bij Dollar te boeken want dat wordt een DURE vakantie.... Het zijn boeven ....om hier op zo'n manier hun slaatje eruit te slaan... Hun borg op een auto is al € 1500,00. Én de slijtage van de banden, komen er óók nog bij. Staat los van de verzekering...ps wij reden een kleine 4 deurs nieuwe Opel Corsa. De borg van de Creditcard was €514,00 Toen wij terug kwamen van onze reis moesten wij ook precies dit bedrag van € 514,00 betalen. En tot onze verbazing werden er SCHOONMAAKKOSTEN van €95,00 in rekening gebracht..........hadden hiervoor net onze auto door de wasstraat gereden en aan de binnenkant netjes uitgezogen. Hoe durven zij.... Dus mensen u bent gewaarschuwd.....loop een stukje verder door....NOOIT MEER HIER.

Be away of this company(dollar). On their website they have one rental conditions, but in real life they have hidden rules. Not recommended at all

Great service. While parked in Porto, my car was broken into: the burglars broke the small back window. This center made it extremely easy for me to report and replace the car, and their damage charge for the window was 34,00: extremely fair and reasonable. I've had rental car agencies overcharge for damage before which is frustrating: these guys were on the up-and-up. Glad I went with Hertz Lisbon Airport!
