Coming here was absolutely the best and most amazing thing i ever did. Not only is the place and the house beautiful, everyone here is super nice, friendly and sweet. The yoga classes were so good, i could not miss any of them even though all my muscles were sore I Will never forget how i felt on the surfing board for the first time. I can't wait to come here again Love IT!!!

I went on my first solo holiday in this lovely yoga and surf hostel and I loved every second of it. This was also my first experience in a hostel so I can’t really compare with any other hostels, but I am pretty sure this is one of a kind. I shared the room with other 6/7 people and met some great travellers from all over Europe, all sharing a passion for yoga and generally quite like-minded, chilled people. The staff was super helpful and friendly and cooked some healthy and fresh dinners a couple of nights that I was there. There is no chance to get bored as a solo traveller as there are so many activities you can choose from, all organised by the staff (yoga twice a day, surf lessons, sup lessons, rock climbing, hiking, meditation and even sup yoga!). The yoga teachers are amazing and so is the masseuse and meditation teacher , they definitely contributed to make this experience worth it. I would 100% recommend this place to my friends and especially to those who are thinking about traveling on their own but want an “entry level” experience! Keep up the great work and can’t wait to visit visit the Salty Pelican in Sri Lanka at some point soon!

Had a really nice time here, we were in the 8 bed dorm which was quite compact but as described on the website. Great yoga, great breakfast, friendly staff and a good location!

2 weeks ago I visited the Salty Pelican, it was a great experience! The staff was polite and very nice!! The BBQ and breakfast tasted good aswel. I am defininately coming back

Was here last year and I still can't shake the memories was absolutely amazing beast staff ever very helpful and friendly the perfect place to reset and push on. Go alone and meet amazing people from all over the world. Oh and definitely get a massage she was . PS I have to also give a mension to how good the yoga instructor was I felt like only the best at thier Craft worked there cos not only were they accommodating they were also professionals. Do it you won't regret it.

I had a very wonderful visit at the Salty Pelican. The place was clean and the breakfast was varied and not all wheat. I met some wonderful people and we talked into the night in the lovely courtyard. I suspect that we disrupted a few sleeps and for that I apologise! I wish I could have stayed longer, but it was a very nice highlight on a very pleasant trip overall.

Great smiling staff, great vibe, nice location. I had a private room at both the main house and the other house. The other house is about 50m away and really cool. The only draw back is that the rooms need fans as a minimum, but would be good with A/C, this is not a problem at night though as they cool down nicely. I highly recommend this place, primarily because everyone who works there seem so happy, and this creates a great community vibe. The Tapas night was very delicious also.

In the 6-person dormroom you will not find a comfortable bed as is stated in the description of the room. It is small, dark and has a very wobbly bed. What you get for the high price they ask per night is not a good deal. Would not recommend this place if you want to have good worth for your money and a good night's rest.

I stayed at the salty pelican as an opportunity to take a break from real and life and clear my head and I could not have been happier! The hostel, staff and activities were beyond amazing. I couldn’t recommend this more to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay with good vibes :-)

Einer der besten Urlaube unseres Lebens ! Freundliches Personal, super Kurse, gutes Essen, schöne Zimmer und das zu einem unschlagbarem Preis !! Das Einzige, dass negativ war, ist dass die Zeit viel zu schnell vergangen ist ;) nur empfehlenswert !!

I spent an amazing 8 days in Salty Pelican in Cascais, and couldn't ask for better experience. The place was stunning, the people were incredible, I met such a wonderful bunch of people including the staff themselves. And of course yoga classes and paddle boarding (this was my package) were really high standard, led by such professional instructors. The entire experience was incredible, and I cannot wait to go back!

Truly amazing experience at The Salty Pelican. Wonderful and warm people, great atmosphere and very clean rooms and bathrooms. I felt at home from the very first minute thanks to the guys working there and all the guests. I really suggest to choose the Pelican for your next adventure. Maybe the surf lesson could be improved a little bit with more practice especially for beginners. Yoga instead was just fantastic.

Pro: - beautiful house and cute decoration - friendly staff - comfortable beds - great people!!! Mostly between 25-30 - good yoga lessons (vinyasa is at 7am and yin at 5pm!) and nice teachers! - great breakfast - everything is very well organized (pick ups to the surf beach) - bbq and tapas night were very great Contra: - only 4 bathrooms for A LOT of people - too many people for a retreat, it felt very crowded - people are coming and going all the time, feels very rushed - surf lessons are not really great, they basically just give you a board and put you in the water - yoga at 7am is very early - cascais is a 20 minute walk, the area is quite hilly and beaches are good but not amazing. It was definitley a great vacation, mostly because of the amazing people I met. But if you are looking for a proper retreat, this is not the right choice. It is a hostel with yoga and surf lessons.

Had an awesome week here in September doing the yoga and surf package! Everyone was so friendly and the hostel itself is beautifully renovated and really well equipped. Really enjoyed the evening activities (BBQ, pizza night, tapas evening etc) too and just generally loved the chilled atmosphere.

Really comfortable and relaxed hostel with very friendly staff. The hostel centres around activities like yoga, surfing and SUP. Check out their website, it's very helpful. If you would like a relaxed, social hostel which is focused on activities and we'll bring - I'd definitely recommend this one.

Friendliest Hostel I've ever stayed in! Very good atmosphere and excellent organisation! There is lots of activities to choose from: Yoga, Surfing, Climbing, Hiking, BBQ, etc. Only thing to critizise: Wifi is quite slow, when the Hostel is fully booked. But with all the lovely people staying there you probably won't have time to be online ;)

Fiquei muito impressionada com a excelente qualidade de serviço,limpeza e pequeno-almoço. Tem uma localização muito boa, a 5/6 minutos a pé da praia, da estação de comboios e de um lindo jardim público rodeado de todo o tipo de serviços.... No entanto o melhor é o staff muito amigável, sempre pronto a ajudar e a fazer-nos sentir em casa! Gostei muito e voltarei! :)

Sans doute le meilleur hostel où je suis resté au Portugal! La localisation est parfaite, l'hostel se trouve tout à côté de la plage. L'équipe est superbe et accueillante et j'ai adoré le yoga au bord de la plage. Sa serai un grand plaisir y retourner et passer de nouveau des beaux moments comme j’ai passé dans ce fantastique hostel! Merci à tout!

Excelente. O melhor Hostel onde já entrei na zona de Lisboa. Já frequentei vários espaços do género na zona de Lisboa e este foi sem dúvida o melhor . As condições são espectaculares, quartos e wc em perfeitas condições, sempre limpos e arrumados . Possuí um jardim bastante agradável onde passei bons bocados a navegar na internet , quanto á internet tem também um serviço excelente, rapidez assegurada ;D O staff é espectacular, pessoas simpáticas, acessíveis a sempre dispostas a ajudar. Vale a pena visitar , vou lá voltar sempre que tiver oportunidade de o fazer :)

I stayed in the Salty Pelican for 4 nights in March and I absolutely LOVED IT! I stayed in the 4 bedroom, it has more than enough space for 4 people, the room was very clean, specially for such an antique house. bathrooms are unbelievable, buffet breakfast was delicious, fresh bread and lots of different sliced fruits and vegetables… everything was great and i specially liked how friendly and kind the staff is…… they truly provide the hostel experience! Its the third time I’ve stayed in hostels in Cascais, first time at the Salty Pelican and so far its definitely my favourite!! SEA you soon

I dont even know what to start with.... What an incredible hostel.... Thank you so much, it was a happy vacation much thanks to you.. this hostel has the best breakfast ive ever had at any hostel (better than most hotels actualy), the bathrooms are just amazing, the house has a lot of character, really unique. location is perfect, next to everything anyone might need, atm's banks, bars, cafes, pastries, restaurants, taxi square, bus stop, 5m walk away from train station and awesome beach... i just loved it. above all i really enjoyed the staff, they are all truly helpfull and fun to hang around, they made me feel at home, parto of the group, and took me for a great night of fun in cascais... great job guys, keep the good work, cant wait to come back in a near future ! cheers
