Не плохой магазин с различным спиртным. Присутствует большое разнообразие традиционных португальских спиртных напитков, которые расставлены по производителям и годам производства. Товар размещен понятно и наглядно. Продавцы работают быстро. Очень вежливы и приветливы. Удалось прекрасно с ними объясниться при том, что мы с мужем не говорим ни по португальски, ни по английски.

I live in the neighborhood and stopped in to buy a couple of bottles to take to a small dinner party. Advice given (by who I took to be the owner) was good and efficient. If this review stopped here the rating would be 4 or 5. Unfortunately, one of the 2 bottles was “corked”. That was certainly inconvenient, but also,whether it should have been or not, was mildly embarrassing. I stopped back to report the outcome to the “owner” saying your recommendation was good and the 1st bottle was enjoyed by all, but unfortunately the 2nd bottle was corked so my host removed it and replaced it with one of his own. This was immediately greeted with “Do you have the wine?” No, that would be better of course, but I was in someone else’s home, already feeling a little awkward and didn’t want to make a production of retrieving the wine so I could roam around Lisbon late at night with an open bottle of corked wine. The response: Well there is “ABSOLUTELY “ nothing I can do! The manufacturer requires the wine so they can send it to the lab and run tests, otherwise I don’t get credit. I’m sure you understand there is “ABSOLUTELY” nothing I can do! (I am not sure, but would not have been surprised if my jaw didn’t drop at that absurd comment ). Uhh, not really. In the good old days you simply smelled the wine or maybe even tasted a bit...unless there may have been a down stream quality control issue you certainly don’t need lab tests to determine whether a bottle of wine is corked (Note: Trust meter reading dropping rapidly!) But I digress in addressing his claim that there is “ABSOLUTELY nothing I can do”. He might want to consider something like this the next time (and there will be a next time. Not with me, but maybe someone else): “I’m really sorry for the inconvenience may I replace the bottle? And should you experience this again please bring me the bottle as it would help me with my supplier a lot”. We used to call it customer relations, but I digress again. Oh by the way...we’re not talking a Chateau Margaux here...a €9 mid range Douro. So the “owner” that could do ABSOLUTELY nothing was at risk €4-5 or there abouts? Anyway, there’s one less customer he has to worry about (oh by the way, I couldn’t care less about the €9 bottle of wine, but I do like to have honest relationships with people I do business with and his running behind there is ABSOLUTELY nothing I can do argument was petty and dishonest. He could do what ever he wanted to do, but chose not to. That’s the bottom line.
