Can't say enough about how warm and welcoming this place is. If you are looking for a chance to experience fado in a traditional and not tourist-y way this is the place to choose. To add to that, the customer service is impeccable

처음으로 경험한 파두
파두를 모르고 있다가 비긴어게인2 보고 알게되서 이번에 봐보고싶었는데 정말 잘한 선택같습니다.
다른 바와 동일하거나 비슷한 가격에 파두 공연을 함께 보고 들을 수 있다니 너무 좋은 분위기에 기분도 너무 좋아졌네요.
제가 간날은 11시쯤에 공연 마무리했으니 방문하신다면 11시 이전 적어도 10시 30분 이전에 가보시는 것을 추천드립니다.
공연중엔 정문 닫으니 옆문으로 들어오시면됩니다.
그리고 공연중엔 주문을 잘 받지 않고 받더라도 전달이 늦으니 그거 감안하고 즐겨주시길 바랍니다.
가게는 좁아 사람들 긴 테이블에 함께 앉아서 즐기시면됩니다.
리스본에 와서 파두 경험해보고싶으시다면 추천드립니다

Just amazing. Can't say enough good things about this place. The owner is very involved and had good recommendations for the wine. He returned a reservations email I sent just a couple hours prior to opening. And he didn't rush us out the door when we paid because he was excited for us to hear more of the fado.
This is a small place and it is not designed to be quick in and out. So be aware you may need to get the waiter's attention between songs or go up to the bar to pay. But the tapas are tasty and the cheese plate went especially well with the white wine.
And the fado was so fun. There were over a half dozen singers all quite good. Some of them interacted with the crowd, sometimes we clapped among or hummed. A baby even starting laughing with the singer at one point. It was a magical experience to say the least.

Just go! Best decision we made in Lisboa. True Fado lovers are there and you will find beautiful Fado sung in an intimate setting. The owner is an incredibly kind and friendly fellow who made us feel so welcome. All staff are excellent! In a local neighborhood and as far from a tourist trap as you can get. Loved it! attending Fado performance here was extraordinary experience,much more than we could imagine!Amazing and unique atmosphere,in a nice ,cozy local,where all very friendly stuff put a lot of effort ,in order for us to have the best experience.It was like a concert ,since we had opportunity to listen several singers,while having wonderful wine and tapas :) i would highely recommend this experience!

Great place to listen fado and eat tapas. We were amazed by amount of singers performing on one night (as the place is not so big there were moments that more singers was waiting to perform than there were guests siting inside :) ). We have spent whole night drinking two BOTTLES of wine + tapas for 55 euro. Highly recommend.

Wow. A fantastic fado experience. The Duque is essentially a hole in the wall where some of the singers will also be serving your food, playing hosts, or sitting the crowd. About 10 tables, great music and non intrusive waiting staff. No hidden fees, no minimum charge. Come for a (reasonable priced) drink and enjoy. Will definitley return next time I'm in Lisboa.

This was the best Fado experience I could have imagined. The place is cozy, the atmosphere is great, but most importantly, the staff and singers are extremely nice and friendly, making you feel completely at home. I can only recommend going there at least once, whether you live in Lisbon or are just visiting for a few days!

French guests came the day I went to the restaurant. They were so noisy during the performance of the fado. Suddenly one of them sang a song. The other person told us to be quiet because her acquaintance sang a song. They were too rude. I didn't go to see their performance.

Lugar de Fado en un sentido más contemporáneo. No se lleva a cabo todos los símbolos tradicionales típicos. Sin embargo, tienen una dinámica mucho mas cómoda y agradable. Las pausas son cortas, se cantan todo tipo de fados y por distintos fadistas por lo que se hace todo mucho más agradable y distinto a lo habitual.
El ambiente suele ser agradable aunque como suele ocurrir, hay gente que no entiende o no respeta los silencios y tiempos del fado y termina estropeando por momentos la atmósfera necesaria, cosa que no tiene culpa el lugar.
El dueño y camarero, encantadores y amables.
Sitio para repetir, disfrutar y aprender de Fado.

Es un lugar pequeñito donde compartes mesa, con los codos apretados. La comida es tapeo.
Tu sensación de claustrofobia desaparece cuando arranca el primer fado.
Es un verdadero lujo tener las guitarras y esas voces a tu lado. Son un grupo de amigos cantantes que se turnan cada 2 fados. Una potencia de voz, y un sentimiento que impresiona. Fenomenal, auténtico, no te lo puedes perder.
Al final los artistas pasan vendiendo su disco. Eso no me gustó, porque son individuales en vez de un disco de grupo.

Un coqueto lugar para disfrutar con una noche de fado. Hay tapas vino cerveza refrescos ... 5 rondas de fadistas para pasar la noche. El personal es atento y servicial. Ojo mejor hacer reserva porque el local es pequeño y se llena pronto. Una vez ocupadas todas las mesas no se puede pasar. El dueño del local muy agradable y dispuesto a ayudarte en lo que necesites. Un sitio recomendable

Amazing place where you can come to enjoy your drink/s while listening various locals singing Fado. They do not obligate you to have dinner or anything like that to enter. No reservation is needed and it’s the place we all seek when coming to Portugal. Great local wine selection, awesome tapas (if you want), great friendly service and for a normal price. A must!

One of the best experiences in my life, I have never enjoyed live music so much. I wish I knew Portuguese to understand more, but even if you do not know a word, you will feel every emotion of the singers. I hope that some day I will come back to Lisbon to visit this heartwarming place again!

노래하시던 여자분이 우리를 보며 눈을 찢었어요 인종차별인지 모르는듯;;; 실실 웃으시면서 외국인들이 다 쳐다보던데 가사도 개사해서 동양인을 조롱한 느낌이에요

What a night! At the beginning I was skeptical, having previously been to the Mascote da Atalaia and already having seen some beautiful Fado. But very quickly the atmosphere got to me and my wife. There were multiple performers - six, if I count correctly and each of them contributed a bit of themselves to the atmosphere. The singing went on for 3 whole hours. This is hard to match.
The place itself is tiny so call the number here at Google Maps and make a reservation. They speak good English.
The food is simple but tasty. We had cheese platter, ham platter and bread with tuna. All of these tapas were very good. The wine is not bad at all either.
All in all we spent about 50 EUR for 2 people and I strongly feel this money was very well spent. There is no minimum charge though so what you get is what you pay.
Overall this is a must if you want to try some Fado. I’d say come here and also go to Mascote da Atalaia. Both places will give you Fado but both will be very different.

This bar tapas was such a good experience ! The waiters was extremely kind and the fado was great. It is cheap for a fado bar, and the tapas are good. It was one of my favorite night in Lisbon. I recommend it 100%

Ma meilleure expérience à Lisbonne. Un petit bar à vin où l’on peut écouter des fadistes passionner qui viennent chanter la poésie portugaises pour leurs plaisirs et le notre . La configuration du bar fait qu’on discute facilement avec son voisin de table et on finit par se raconter nos vies en buvant des vins délicieux ( vin du Douro ) une fois le bar fermé .

A truly memorable experience! We were in a big group of 13, all spending our last night in Lisbon together. I really wanted to see some fado before we left so we searched for a place that would have live fado on a tuesday night and found this place. Walking through the quiet city and seeing the small alley where Duque da Rua is located made us question if a) it would be open, and b) would we fit inside if so?! Finding the spot, we peered inside the small, narrow and fairly full bar, convinced we wouldn't fit. One of the performers/the host came outside and asked if we were here for fado and how many of us... he then managed to squeeze us in across a couple of tables! The atmosphere was amazing - expect to be shhh'd if you talk! - and the wine was lovely (approx €17 per bottle for house). The performers were excellent and there was a great mix of friendly people inside.

와야지 와야지 하다 결국 마지막날 밤에 들럿는데 너무 좋네요ㅎㅎ 스페인에서 플라멩고도 봣지만 전 파두가 더 좋은거 같아요. 와인한잔 시켜놓고 좋은공연 봐서 넘 좋네요!!
미리 예약도 되는거 같아요. 근데 8시반 전에만 오면 자리 잡는데 문제는 없어요.

All the lovely local older ladies with fado authentically part of their lives came out to sing to us. Fernanda had enough attitude and character to carry the whole night, but it was great to hear a variety of singers. Backup musicians were incredibly talented. Food and wine were very good. Great little spot a bit off the beaten tourist path.

We had an amazing stay here and listened to many different perfect fado singers. We planned to stay only for an hour but in the end stayed for 4 hours straight. The wine and hospitality was amazing. The owner and his crew made it avery pleasant evening for us.
There is no "real" dinner available here but only small tapas.

If you're looking for that down to earth, hole in the wall, authentic experience that makes you laugh and maybe cry at the price of a regular bar, look no further. This is where the locals go and where tourists are welcome. I had an amazing experience here and just felt right at home. If I lived in Lisbon I would come every night and am glad to have found it on my weekend trip. Classy and fun. I hope it never changes!

저는 길가다가 우연히 들어갔는데 너무 좋은 경험 저렴하게 했어요! 근처에서 식사하고서 후식커피 + 와인 몇잔 더 마시면서 처음부터 거의 몇시간을 시간가는 줄 모르고 감상했어요
굉장히 작은 바라서 기대를 많이 하고오시면 안되구요
조금 불편한 자리지만 싱어와 관객이 같이 즐기는 느낌이 좋았어요~
It was perfect place to enjoy Pado while drinking wine and beer! It seems to be well known to Korean, l didn’t know till I stopped by this bar by chance. It’s free entrance and drink menu price is slightely more expensive than other local bars but it’s definitely worth to visit. It starts at 8pm and I couldn’t leave till 11pm. I think it finishes around midnight but i’m not sure.
It’s very small bar and seats can be a little bit uncomfortable but I really enjoyed the pado experience at this bar.

오늘 다녀왔어요. 8시부터 10시 30분까지 있으면서 남녀 여러 가수분들의 파두 음악을 들었습니다. 가수들도 술 한 잔씩 하면서 즐기는 분위기이고, 너무 행복했습니다. 다만 한국인이 많다는거 알고 가시면 될듯하네요 ㅋ 다들 수줍어하시는데 마음 놓고 즐기시길 바랍니다...

ここで出会った人達、お店のオーナー、スタッフは勿論、お客さんも、シンガー、ミュージシャン達全てが素敵で大好きです。Fadoはリスボアの人達の心であり活力なんだと、リスボンの歴史を何も知らない私でも充分それを感じる事ができました。このお店は、ただショーを見せると言うのではなく、何というか、、、昔から知ってる仲間が夜な夜な集まり歌い、酒を飲み、笑い、時には励まされ、また明日がんばろ！と思って帰っていく。。的な？w そんなところ。w うまく表現できないけど、あったかい場所です。

구글통해 예약했는데 늦어서 9시반이 다돼서 도착했어요.그래도 중간에 빈자리 앉았다가 휴식시간에 사람들 빠질때 자리도 옮겨주셨어요. 약한시간 반동안 여섯분의 가수들의 노래를 들었습니다. 11시쯤 되니 손님보다 뮤지션과 직원들이 많았던듯ㅋ앞에 앉아계시던 젊은 외국여자분 감동받아 눈물 흘리고 사장님이랑 가수분들이 막 달래주고 훈훈하고 따뜻한 분위기였어요. 정말 좋았습니다.

Estive em dez/2018. Um ótimo local para se tomar um bom vinho e ouvir uma boa música, por preço justo. Fado todos os dias, com a simpatia e bom atendimento. O Sr. Helder é muito simpático e atencioso com todos os clientes, que viram amigos. Destino certo em Lisboa e no Chiado.

Incredible fado experience. It was absolutely amazing in all senses. That's what real fado is about, i believe - the music, the closeness of the singers, the ambience - fully immersive experience. Definitely local too, very different from tourist places. On the personal side that night couldn't have gone better - the amazing conversation my husband and i had with the owner and his friends, their hospitality - there are no words. Helder, you are the best - can't thank you enough! Planning my next trip to LIsboa just to go back to Duque da Rua.

Five stars based on the integrity of the guests and staff here as I left my handbag (with cash and passports) by mistake... Two hours later I came back and it was returned to me with everything intact. Thank you for your honesty, and for the nice atmosphere and beautiful fado!

Great place for local Fado. Very small and intimate. Up close to the talented musicians and singers. Good is very limited but that's not why you should go there. I suggest making reservations by texting them. I received a quick response and was very nice to walk in and be known to the owner. Just go... You'll have a very special night.

Un sitio muy agradable y cálido para escuchar fado. Hay mucha variedad de artistas y todos de muy buen nivel. Tienes una carta de aperitivos/tapas para acompañar la consumición. Volveré.

사장님이 친절합니다. 타파스 주문했는데 가게 특제소스로 해주셔서 맛있게 먹었습니다. 다만 가게는 협소해서 예약하시는게 좋고 한국인이 많아 어색함 안 느끼실듯 하니 리스본 여행중에 잠깐이라도 들르시면 좋은 추억될듯 하네요~

Vous voulez passer la soirée à écouter du Fado avec un excellent verre de vin ? Cette adresse est juste parfaite !! Un endroit très cosy convivial avec une ambiance mais ainsi des voix juste superbes qui nous chauffent le cœur ! C'est un endroit incontournable si vous voulez vraiment découvrir la culture musicale portugaise. Le patron parle très bien le portugais, anglais mais aussi le français, à l'écoute et des bons conseils niveau consommation (abordables).

A genial host who welcomed me as if I was family, yummy food, delicious port wine, and no less than 10 different singers! That's what I experienced at Duque da Rua last night. Let there be more places and people like this in the world!

8시부터 영업을 시작하고 9시부터 공연이 열립니다. 8:20 이후에는 첫 타임 식사가 어려울 만큼 인기가 많으니 8:15분까지는 도착하셔야 합니다. 친절한 직원들과 편안한 로컬 분위기, 문어요리와 그린와인이 일품입니다. 파두 공연이 아니더라도 찾을만합니다!

Cenamos muy bien, el trato inmejorable, pero lo mejor de todo, el Fado (no turístico), cantaron como 8 personas se iban alternando. Fue genial.

Très belle découverte ! Très bons vins et belles planches à des prix abordables (autour de 5euros le verre ). Bar parfait pour découvrir du fado authentique dans une ambiance intimiste (mention spéciale pour le chanteur Nuno Vicente). Service au top avec un patron à l écoute et de bon conseil. A ne pas rater !

Amazing Fado show (free). Several singers took the "stage" each with varying styles and sound. The crowd grew as the night moved along with each new performer bringing friends to see the show. The cozy bar was packed to capacity, but not overcrowded. Great experience!

Myself and my partner went to Lisbon for a long weekend. On the first night that we arrived, our hotel recommended this fado bar. We were so impressed once we arrived. The bar is quite small which creates a wonderful intimate atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Watching the owner/manager walking around was a pleasure as he interacted with different people in their own languages.
The fado band and singers were wonderful too. There are several different singers performing throughout the night. Every singer is so different in style. Some songs were comical while others were much more emotional. You don’t need to speak the language to appreciate the feelings behind each song.
On our last night we arrived again. It was very busy but the owner/manager remembered us and found us a seat. We watched a lot of people trying to come in but the owner tried to find everyone a seat even if it was only for half an hour. This place goes above and beyond to share the experience with everyone. The tapas was also delicious and the wine and beer were reasonably priced. We were there for several hours and had endless entertainment, 4-5 drinks each and tapas and the bill came to less than €40 each night. I would highly recommend this bar for an unforgettable experience. Thanks again for everything.

An absolute gem of a place. We had 5 different singers, each singing 2-3 songs. They take a short 10-15 min break then continue. Lovely staff (or owner?). Great service too. You felt really welcome even though it was obvious you were a tourist. Just go!

We walked by, thinking of going for fado. And suddenly we heard a nice singing. The owner invited us in and it was a smart decision. It is a lovely place where a circle of friends come together to perform fado. A truly living art full of passion and joy.

Bar tapas avec du fado bien sympa, serveur ou patron à l'écoute et essaye de faire un maximum pour parler français ou anglais. Quelques tapas sont proposés, nous avons pris charcuterie et fromage c'était très bon à voir l'authenticité des produits...
Bonne ambiance et bar atypique et convivial, les prix un poil cher (j'espère que ça paie les CHANTEURS).

파두집 폭풍검색해서 우연히 발견한 집인데, 가격 합리적이면서도 가족같고 친구같은 공연분위기에, 파두 그까이거~~하며 부르는듯 카리스마 넘치는 할아버지 가수분부터, 열심히 정직하게 부르는 젊은 가수까지 다양한 공연을 볼수있어서 정말 행복한 시간이었습니다. 저희는 리스본첫날 반해서 마지막날 다시 찾았었습니다.
타파스도 맛있고 사장님도 좋아요~~!!

Génial ! Je ne connaissais pas du tout le fado et j'ai adoré. Je suis venu avec 7 amis qui ne connaissaient rie au fado et qui ont adorés !C'est un immanquable de Lisbonne !

Great fado place, very nice staff, decent wine. Many singers exchanging the whole time, only short breaks of 10min after several songs. We also bought a CD from one of the performers :)

My first time experiencing Fado in Portugal. This place was incredible. The singers blew me away. The staff were incredibly friendly. And the drinks and tapas lovely. It's a small rustic place that seems more geared to locals than tourists. Highly recommend.

Pourtant j'ai rien compris la parole en portugais mais j'étais touchée,.. par l'accueille chaleureux, par sincérité des chanteurs, par ambiance familiale,.. ça ne rime pas à l'arnaque touriste ni fausse service pour touriste. Que d'authenticité, un vrais pearl de Lisboa!

Recommended by our travel guide, we went early on a Saturday night hoping for some entertainment.
The bar is off a small street and is very cosy.
The drinks prices were very reasonable and waiting staff were very friendly, accommodating locals who transform to become Fado performers once the show starts and in between intervals.
Incredibly charming experience.

An absolute gem...intimate and completely free of pretension -- it's as if you walked into your uncle's living room, and your uncle happens to be one of Lisbon's great fadistas. Great tapas and wines as well -- what's not to love?!

Nice relaxed place to watch Fado. When we went there were 8 singers who sang 2 songs each without any breaks in between. Drinks are also well priced.
