This restaurant is one of the best veggie restaurants we've been too.
They have a really cool outdoor space for seating. Their vegan desserts are amazing. I would highly recommend this place.
Make a reservation in advance!
Kitchen is open so you can see the wonderful kitchen staff cooking and preparing their delicious dishes . I was pleasantly surprised.

The food, atmosphere and staff were all wonderful. I suggest making a reservation as they may not prepare enough of the main course for walk-ins. Different menu every night. Would highly recommend.

Excellent food in a small but unique location. As they cater to an underserved market it tends to be very busy, even on weekdays, so a reservation is recommended. It may take a minute to get the attention of the small staff but once you do the service is very friendly. Exceptional local beer selection!

Fine example of how creative chefs can be due to vegan "limitations." Menu changes each day so it's hard to recomend anything specific; however, these guys know balance in each dimension of food: flavor, texture, spiciness, etc. Make a reservation and have them squirrel away anything you want as they may run out with so many customers.

Echter Geheimtipp! Viele Einheimische besuchen das Lokal. Cooles, junges jnd dynamisches Team sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Essen war sehr gut. Täglich neue Gerichte alles vegan und aus der Region. Man kann direkt den Jungs zuschauen in der Küche wie gezaubert wird. Herzig kleines Ambiente in einem Innenhof. Preislich sehr gut

Lovely experience. Felt as if I was having an intimate dinner at a friend's house. Based on staff's recommendation we shared the soup, 3 tapas-panzanella salad our favorite, and 1 entree. It was perfect. We did opt for 2 desserts-banana pie and mango coconut mousse, both yummy.

The food is unbelievably good and you're guaranteed to not be disappointed. Wine is quite pricey for Portugal though, but that's the only bad thing. Food is very well priced considering how incredible it is.

Wow! This is an amazing vegan restaurant. The vegan cheese especially good. Staff very helpful & knowledgeable and they just work so hard. Not so easy to find, but keep trying as you have to eat here. Fabulous

I’ve been a vegetarian for 18 years and never have I been served food so boring. Our main dish was mashed potato with some boiled broccoli on top. Just awful.

On arrival we were greeted by a warm waiter. We were seated on the stairs. He recommended us to try the whole menu (for 2 people including starters, 3 tapas, one main course and one dessert) so we decided to order the whole menu so we could try everything (the menu changes daily). The soup and the focaccia with hummus and sun-dried tomatoes were amazing. The cheesecake was to die for. We had delicious tea. Waiters were very attentive. Price was very good for all the food we ordered also. One of the best vegan places we have been, specially in Lisbon.

An absolute hidden gem! They have a menu that changes daily and it doesn’t disappoint, ours was totally vegan and shared nicely between 3 of us. Love the concept of sharing the dishes with one another. Good service and you’ll feel very satisfied after. A 3 course dinner for a very good price. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Lisbon! Hard to find good restaurants that have good ethics behind them!

Nous devons être fermé à ce genre de cuisine mais à part le jus qui était délicieux, les tapas ressemblaient toutes à de la bouillie où les goûts se mélangeaient sans harmonie... dommage le végétarien c'est pas pour nous apparemment...

Excellent vegan food. I recommend trying their tapas! Raw cake was delicious. Ice tea if the day was yum as well. Very nice people. Gets pretty busy after 8:30. Reserve a table if you have more than two people

Their menus variets from day to day, but the food we got to try was absolutely amazing. So tasty, and filling. Unfortunately they did forget about us a few times. So service wise, not the greatest experience. Still really yummy food.

Super simple restaurant with a concise menu that changes daily. Very clean, satisfying meal. Best of all, it’s tucked in a quiet courtyard and in a very cool part of old Lisbon. Stroll down the narrow alleys and be transported to a very cool spot to eat Vegan.

Best food we had in Lisbon!! The staff were so friendly and made us feel right at home. They change the menu everyday with 3 tapas options, 1 main, a soup and 3 desserts. We had the three tapas options and two desserts to share and they were amazing! We also had the juice which is made fresh, which was loooovely! I’m vegan and my sister is a meat eater and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food! Would 100% recommend going here! We got there for 7:30pm on Wednesday, as they were opening and we got a table without reservation but they got busy fast so would either recommend getting there early or getting a reservation.

Täglich wechselnde Gerichte in einem absolut authentischen kleinen Lokal versteckt zwischen Gassen und Treppen. Man sitzt praktisch direkt in der Küche und bekommt die liebevolle Zubereitung mit. Nicht das klassische hochgestochene Restaurant, sondern ein gefühlter Geheimtipp, bei dem auch einige Einheimische essen. Absolut zu empfehlen :)

Best vegetarian I've ever had. They have a very limited menu, but we ordered everything on it and it was amazing. So so good. I wish every person that says they could never eat just veggies was forced to try the food at this place. Everything was astoundingly tasteful. Tiny place but kind of added to the environment in a cozy sort of way. So high recommended.

Nel locale fa abbastanza freddo, sia all’esterno che all’interno, quindi consiglio di andare solo durante il periodo estivo. Non ho trovato i piatti né particolarmente saporiti né originali... Mi aspettavo piatti più bilanciati e più studiati ed accattivanti, invece è un vegetariano davvero poco interessante, a mio avviso. I prezzi di per sé non sono altissimi, ma data la semplicità dei piatti risultano quasi eccessivi.

Amazing but so difficult to find! Google maps tries to take you to a different street with the same name. Find Rua de Guia and the illegal chinese restaurant, then you can find the correct Besos de Jasmin and this amazing restaurant. We ordered one of everything (soup, 3 tapas and a main) and a bottle of red, all super tasty and filling and only €43!

After ordering the soup, 3 tapas and a main dish, the only hot food was the soup! Everything else was cold, not what I was expecting when going for an evening meal.
Soup was good.
Wallnut salad was nice.
Humous + carrots lacked effort and is not worth the price.
Beetroot was OK but again not worth €3+.
Main (noodles with mushroom) was not nice. It also should be €7 max, not €11.
Overall:
Its healthy and vegan, staff are friendly. Tapas are pricey for what little you get. Unfortunately won't be returning.
Maybe invest in some signs so it's easier to locate, wasted 30 minutes trying to find it. Since there was no proper hot food and a poor main dish, we left discontent and felt a bit ripped off :(

Cool place. Dig the atmosphere there as it feels like you're in a friend's home. The food was good and the dessert even better.
They also have a good selection of craft beer, which is unusual for restaurants in Lisbon.

This is the best restaurant I've ever been! We had a reservation but unfortunately, because Google maps didn't know how to navigate us we arrived too late. So our place outside was taken (this was our own fault) but luckily there was a place inside. We took a bottle of their ecological wine, and the entire menu to share with the 2 of us (like they recommended). I've never had so tasteful and good looking food. Also the staff was really nice!
The whole evening we had a bottle of really good wine, and the entire menu. In total for 2 persons we paid €45, so really cheap for this amazing food.
This is really the place I wanna come back to, next time outside!

this is such a nice cosy restaurant. they change the limited menu daily and the staff takes time to explain. generally, the staff was really friendly. during my stay in lisbon i have been there two times and the food was both times delicious. probably the best of all the vegan restaurants I've been to. the atmosphere there is unique, i have never seen such homley restaurant. it is quite small though, but it didn't bother me at all.
all in all I can only recommend this restaurant. it is unique in every way.

Nice small vegan restaurant. The menu is limited, as they serve a different main dish, three tapas and a soup each day. The food was really good and well priced. The service still needs improvement, the server forgot to serve ordered dishes on several tables while we were there and it took pretty long to get the bill.

Some of the absolute best vegan food I have ever had. They change the menu every day, and our menu was delightful. A curried creamy pumpkin soup, several tapas, and the main course was a polenta with mushroom ragu. So so delicious—I could not recommend this more to anyone. My non-vegan boyfriend was in heaven, and loved all the food!

Must go in Lisbon, whether you are vegan or not. My girlfriend is vegan so we sometimes visit vegan places. Often I as a not vegan am disappointed, however, this time it was the best meal I had on our 4 day trip, including non-vegan meals.
Very affordable, very delicious, very creative, amazingly friendly staff, great beers. The atmosphere is very cozy and romantic. It is a small room where you are sitting in the kitchen. Everyone speaks English very well.
If you want to eat here, make a reservation, or show up at 19:30, because this place is very popular with locals.

One tip: if you are allergic to something, you should ask the staff before ordering, because not all ingredients are mentioned on the menu, and I found out the hard way. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. If the criteria for a good restaurant is based on tasty food, good service, comfortable atmosphere and value for money, this was none of them. The starting soup was OK, but the appetizers were not; lentils with salad, another tiny little salad and, I kid you not, about 12 corn chips with dip. At this point they had forgotten our drinks. OK, this happens, but the situation was starting to grate on me and my two friends. The main meal arrived, which we shared, and it was OK. A curry, but very plain. And that was that! I honestly cannot understand the reviews that mark this place out as amazing. It is clear that people like the setting: sitting on steps is cute in a way, but at the end of the meal we were three hungry, uncomfortable, disappointed people, who actually had to grab more food elsewhere on the way home. We remarked that if we had cooked our own food and sat together on the steps, it would have cost a third of the price and the meal would have been much tastier. I think the thing that really grates on me is that while I love the idea of good, healthy food and a changing menu, this was just so poorly done that it felt like a joke. Food Temple felt like targeted marketing at a middle class, traveling demographic of people who feel like they are helping the world by eating a tin of lentils. Food like this should be quick, cheap and plentiful, to encourage and promote a sense of community, not offered as some sort of contrived delicacy for those who can afford it. There are just so many authentic, charming restaurants littered around Lisbon that it is not worth your time or money to eat here. I honestly wish I could be more positive, but I can't.

This is by far me and my partners favorite vegan restaurant in Lisbon. You can sit inside or out on the steps, where they place small tables that fit over the steps for you. It has a really great atmosphere sitting out underneath the bunting and lights. We got there early and managed to score a seat without a booking but I would recommend you book as it gets quite popular later in the evening.

My friends and I discovered Food Temple on our first night in Lisboa and were blown away by the delicious and healthy food, as well as the adorable decor and friendly staff. We could just feel the travel junk food flushing out of our systems!!!!
Highly recommend to anyone in the area or out, heck come give it a visit even if you live in Alaska!

Really great place - when it's warm ;-). Inside it's quite small, but if the weather is good you can sit outside on the stairs with special "tables", which is something different. We liked it very much. The vegan food was really, really delicious and the waiters are soooo nice and attentive! Highly recommend it!

Absolutely stunning vegan restaurant in the heart of the charming and lively Alfama district. The Food Temple offers a menu that changes daily with delicious dishes made of fresh and premium ingredients. We ordered most of the dishes available on the day we visited and not one was a disappointment! Everything was exceptional! Servers are very pleasant and helpful and there is an option to sit outside on some steps with some cushions and specially made tables - I would highly recommend trying this! Be sure to call in advance for a reservation, as the restaurant books up for the evenings very quick. We saw quite a few patrons get turned away at the door who did not have a reso. Will definitely be back when we return to Lisbon!

Nice vegan gem hidden away in the hills (I wandered a good 30 minutes trying to find it). There was quite a wait and I didn’t have reservations but I got lucky and scored a spot by myself at the big table inside. I think the menu rotates, but the watermelon gazpacho was incredible as was the potato curry main. Ok and the banana creme brûlée was also great. Well worth the trouble for a meal that will linger in your mind for days afterwards...

This restaurant has to be one of the best veggie restaurants we've been too! They have a set menu each day of soup, three tapas, main dish and dessert. It took some finding and is hidden down a little side street. You have a choice of sitting inside or out but if you are sitting outside you will be sitting on steps but they have cushions and a tables set up on the steps which is looks great. The staff are really great and they have English menus. I admit I'm a meat eater but what I really loved was the unexpected :)

Starters were disappointingly served cold. Baba ganoush was extremely smoky and we left most of it. Baby potatoes in dill was very good. Pumpkin and broccoli was okay but overcooked. Very bland main course..mushrooms in tomato sauce in way too much polenta. Restaurant itself was cute and pleasant staff. But would not recommend this place as we found it too expensive for what you receive.

Boa comida, espaço descontraído e agradável, staff embora não muito conversador, simpático.
Menu altera diariamente e divide-se em 1 sopa, 3 de partilha (petisco) e q prato principal.
Se tivéssemos seguido o conselho de um empregado (super atencioso que até se ajoelhou para estar ao nosso nível a explicar o conceito), para 2 pessoas, teríamos seguido por dois pratos de partilha e o principal, tudo para dividir. Quisemos experimentar tudo e, então, foram os três de partilha e o principal e, sinceramente, embora tenha valido a pena, pela experiência, ficamos sem conseguir comer mais durante largas horas! Mas valeu a pena, pois soube tudo tão bem! E sem crueldade!
Só tivemos pena em não haver café e por não ter havido oportunidade para provar as sobremesas (íamos com bolo de aniversário) mas espero que essa venha a ser 5ª estrela!

We really enjoyed our meal. The zucchini and basil soup was delicious! The appetizers were delightful and the main course was satisfying. The cream brûlée for dessert was a real treat for someone who doesn’t eat dairy. The menu changes daily. Excellent experience. Cash only with an ATM nearby.

Alors, ça a été une grosse déception. Le jour où nous y sommes allés il y avait plus de 45 minutes de queue, du coup nous avons réservé pour le lendemain.
Mais le lendemain le menu ne nous plaisait pas autant que la veille (le principe de ce restaurant végétalien étant qu'il n'y a pas de menu fixe, il change tous les jours).
J'avais pris des légumes grillés, qui étaient d'ailleurs très bons, mais ils étaient servis dans un ramequin avec un 1/2 cm d'huile au fond, du coup je n'ai pas trouvé ça agréable.
Les portions sont petites, du coup il vaut mieux commander un plat de chaque catégorie (il y en a 3). Je trouve qu'au final ça revient cher (il faut compter environ 30€)

The menu changes every day, but everything is vegan. They propose to share the main course between two people. I visited with my boyfriend and we shared a vegan chili + some tapas and olives. The place is very cosy with a nice atmosphere. The food is amazing. Really recommended!

Love this place!! Food was absolutely delicious and healthy, atmosphere was cozy, staff were friendly. You have a choice between tapas and the main dish of the day as well as dessert.
One thing I would note is the area is a little bit sketchy, if you are a solo female traveler like I was, and google maps will send you up a little alley that will be confusing at first. Just be mindful and go earlier rather than later if you can.

Well i'm not a vegetarian, not by a long shot, but once in a while a skip meat in the menu and go for a veggie food. We find that the food is very tasty and light. The staff was ok and the interior very pleasant. I understood that they change the main dishes every day but we had only one day in Lisbon.

Sehr lecker! Total engagierte Crew. es gibt jeden Tag wechselnde Tapas aus denen man wählen kann. Absolute Geschmacksexplosion. auch Dessert sehr zu empfehlen. Drinnen ist es mit wenigen Tischen sehr klein, daher wird draußen erweitert und es werden Tischchen auf die Treppe gestellt. Man sollte früh (oder spät) kommen oder am besten reservieren, denn es ist schnell ausgebucht. Für uns eins der Top Restaurants auf unserer Portugal Reise (sage ich als Fleischesser)

After 6 days of eating nothing but fish, meat, and rich tapas this veggie meal was just what we needed. Make a reservation or get there right at 730 when they open to get a little table on the steps. Their menu is small and changes everyday so my wife and I ordered everything and the difference in tastes made our taste buds go wild. They also have a nice local Lisbon beers list if your into that kind of thing. Would go back 100 percent.

GORGEOUS vegan food, seriously 10/10, and huge portions for the main or good size for the tapas option! Quirky set up, I'd recommend sitting on the steps outside instead of instead (and I mean actually *on* haha) cause you get a lovely breeze and it has a nice atmosphere! Staff are great too. Loved it! Such a cute little place and awesome staff! Food was great and just the right portions.
They cook around 4 dishes to chose from,so you know exactly what you are going to get.
It's very popular with tourists and locals as well;so maybe reserve a table in advance of you don't want to be disappointed.
They have some quirky sitting outside, on the stone stairs. It's a very romantic little place...though I went on my own and did not feel awkward.

Unique dining experience. You can sit outside on the steps with a table cut to fit the shape of the steps, or dine inside at a cramped shared table area. The place is modestly decorated.
This is all to say that it's fine dining in a pretty low-key place. The food is amazing and the service is friendly and fast. There are a *lot* of people working there in a very small space that included the back counter and the kitchen area. All of this makes this place a gem.

Probably the best restaurant I’ve been to in Lisbon. And it’s because the food is really good and the place is super authentic. Being inside a neighborhood that you can literally hear kids running around and people talk from the buildings. You can sit on the stairs and enjoy the weather or inside.
The place us small but feels just right, the menu changes daily and has A soup, 3 tapas dishes and one main. Take all of them - this is also what is recommended.
For vegan food in lisbon it can’t get better than this.
The prices are also pretty reasonable.
The only thing I would worry about is getting there, the metro station is in a pretty sketchy neighborhood- I would recommend getting there early.

Eines der schönsten und leckeren Restaurants unseres Portugalurlaubs 2019. Das Essen war sehr lecker (Suppe, 3x Vorspeisen und Weisse Bohnen mit einer veganen Chourizo), der war war lecker, DAS Personal super freundlich und hat uns alles erklärt. Das Beste hier ist, dass man auf den Treppenstufen sitzen und Speisen kann. Es wird auf einem Holztischchen gegessen und die Atmosphäre ist sehr stimmungsvoll und auch romantisch wenn man mit seinem Partner oder Partnerin da ist. Eine sehr schöne Entdeckung für uns in Lissabon - immer gerne wieder!

Maybe our expectations were a little bit too high after reading all the positive reviews, but our dinner at the Food Temple was a bit disappointing. The location is great and the staff is absolutely friendly. We choose to share the menu as recommended. We especially liked the olives, the gazpacho soup and one of the three tapas. The main dish was really disappointing (smashed potatoes with mushrooms in creamsauce). We thoughed it was very simpel, nothing special and overpriced. All courses were served at a rapid pace. We had not yet finished the last bite of the tapas and the dishes were already taken away. It gives the idea that you as a guest must quickly make way for the next round of guests.

I feel like spaces like this are important and It reminded me of being in a band and getting out of the van to a vegan potluck at a house show. I was pretty disappointed in the quality of the food however, for the price. The dishes we had seemed scooped from a pot rather than made to order. They were pretty bland and simple with no effort on plating. For example the pasta was so overcooked and would have been better if made for every plate fresh. A little more love would elevate everything... a little cashew cream or a little sauce or something. Maybe it just wasn’t for me and thats okay. ❤️

Leuk concept, olijven 'to die for', we hebben de hele kaart maar besteld en alles opgegeten! Het hoofdgerecht was nogal simpel en viel tegen. Dit restaurant is een hype maar onterecht. Alles was veel te snel geserveerd en binnen een half uur hadden we het voorgerecht, de tussengerechtjes (tapa's) en het hoofdgerecht (aardappelpuree met champions in een onterecht als Strokanoff getittelde saus) op.

A bit of an underwhelming experience. I was excited after reading the reviews, but the food was just ok for me. We tried a couple small plates, then one principal plate, the only plate that they had in the menu. This restaurant offers a different vegan menu every day, which includes one main course, three small tapas and a salad (I think). All the dishes that we tried were tasty, without any dairy product. Also, it's located in a picturesque square and the tables are set on some stairs.

Absolutely delicious food, chill environment and very nice staff. I highly recommend this to everyone going to Lisbon even if you’re not vegan.
I loved everything, from the juice (beet, apple, orange) to the main course (a delicious non spicy curry w rice). We also got a great salad and eggplant sandwich.
Getting there can be tricky, it’s in a hidden little street but if you have 4g you’ll be fine, I didn’t and just kept asking around until I found it.

Creative but uncomplicated small plates. Clean, simple flavors. Absolutely perfect portions. Best marinated olives I've ever had in my life. Lentil salad with yogurt and dill was a definite winner. Fresh squeezed juice, too! Highly recommended.

Una persona vegana no comería aquí. Lo más nutritivo de la carta era el hummus que tampoco estaba muy rico. Todo era muy caro para lo que se ofrecía, y una de las cosas que pedimos llevaba wasabi (sin avisarlo en carta).
La verdad que fue una gran decepción para mí, que esperaba comer buena comida vegana. Terminé yendo a casa a cocinarme la cena porque me quedé con hambre y no comí nada nutritivo.

Great vegan food in a hippie restaurant! The restaurant itself was very small, so reservation is recommended. The tables are also small, but it adds up to the atmosphere. It's not a restaurant where you can sit for hours, as the service is very fast! They have a daily changing menu, and their dishes are not expensive at all! Quality of the food is very good, everything was delicious (leave some room for dessert!!!!)

Vega at it's best. Gegessen wird auf der breiten Steintreppe. Mein Orthopäde würde im Dreieck.springen aber der ist weit weg und muss ja nicht alles wissen. Die Karte wechselt täglich, weshalb wir.nur für heute eine Aussage treffen können. Heute war alles super incl. des Rotweins. Reservieren unbedingt notwendig. Es lohnt sich!

My favorite vegan restaurant in Lisboa, and I've seen many.
Staff are all wonderful and very sweet, the food is healthy, super tasty and always comes to your table very fast.
It is a small restaurant, which gives it a nice authentic vibe and if the place is full, you can have dinner outside on the stairs (very charming outdoor area with special tables to put on the stairs and blankets to sit on).
They pick good wines, have nice juices and did I already mention the staff being wonderful? ;)
Go visit this gem if you have the chance!

The address is wrong, the staff was nice but I waited long time outside to get sit, really small restaurant, the menu had only two appetizers pretty small and not well done and one main dish that was not tasty at all and pretty expensive for what you get. I've been to lots of vegan restaurants and this is the first time I dislike one. I would not recommend.
Update: I just saw other pictures of the food they made in the past and it looks good, so it might be that I was unlucky the day I've been but still thinking that you cannot serve the food I ate especially for the price I've paid.

Restaurante pequenino, com staff simpático, e saborosas e interessantes opções vegetarianas/vegan! As entradas estavam muito boas, muito saborosas mesmo, e na nossa opinião eram melhores que o prato principal. Infelizmente já não apanhámos todas as sobremesas, mas das que provámos, o bolo com molho de tahini era o melhor. É um óptimo local para comer comida vegetariana/vega saborosa e diferente, a um preço acessível! A voltar, muitas vezes!

Great spot! Tight squeeze but worth that minor discomfort. The mushroom soup had a wonderful flavor and the perfect texture. The pasta was fresh and cooked to my liking. Everything was delicious and a must for a vegetarian visiting. I'm not a vegetarian and left very satisfied.

It’s vegan restaurant. Staff is very nice and quick service. Please do reservation before going there. I am glad they entertained us without reservation. Small restaurant but too good to eat. Always smile on faces of staff. Good for eating something vegan. But it’s tricky to find the place. For us in rain finding restaurant is full of experience specially for non Portuguese speakers. Try once if you find the place.
One special request to Young owner of The Food Temple “ highlight your place as well on google maps” so that people can find easily. Once again thanks for yummy suppers.

Had an amazing meal here. Sat at a shared table (I recommend making reservations-we didn't, but got lucky). All meals were shared between two of us. I had a local APA beer, my partner had a ginger tea. All the food was good quality, fast, fresh, interesting ingredients, and tasty. It's a bit tricky to find, but follow your nose (or the pin on Google Maps) and you should be fine. Look for the blue/green lights out front.

A wonderful place with a wonderful atmosphere! Sitting, or rather lounging, on the stairs was very enjoyable and there happened to be a neighborhood fado concert which created a fabulous live soundtrack to our experience! the menu is small and fixed: that day they had a vegan interpretation of Portuguese bread soup which was amazing! I am a decade long vegan and I will attest that their food was delicious and interesting ( often,that is a challenge with vegetarian and vegan cooking). Some comments have mentioned pricing as an issue. I struggle to understand! For my husband and I, paying 45 euro for a 3 course meal, and wine, and desert is more than reasonable!!! small and crowded we had a fair seaweed soup, an okay pumpkin purée served with carrot sticks and tortilla chips (?!) and a very delicious ganoush stuffed eggplant. main was an apple curry which really didn’t work so well. i’m glad this place exists, service was good-ish but flavor and execution for €35 two persons (no alcohol) could be much higher.

After being highly recommended we went for it. However we got majorly lost as the Google maps listed address was wrong. After we finally got there much later than we wished, we were sat packed like sardines between two other couples in a really hot room. The food was average at best. A weird concoction of veg and they forgot about our dessert. The staff were lovely but probably wouldn't recommend again, sorry!

Très bon repas mais dommage pour l'attente : nous avions réservé une table pour 21h30, nous l'avons eu à 22h15 (alors que depuis le début des tables étaient libres dans le restaurant). Bon geste commercial : nous avons eu les boissons gratuites.
Les spaghettis étaient très bonnes et le gâteau excellent.

A unique and special experience. We sat outside on one of the 'step' tables and so were able to really appreciate the lively buzz and community feel of the location in a little square in the heart of the Alfama. The menu changes daily, and we followed the (exceptionally friendly) waiter's advice and each had a soup, followed by the three tapas dishes and main course to share before a selection of desserts. Everything was delicious and the sharing really added to the experience. As per other reviews, I would highly recommend booking in advance to get a table outside and save having to wait. We have eaten in a number of Lisbon's vegan eateries this week, but The Food Temple stands out for the its friendly staff, tasty food and atmosphere.

Love the vibe here , u can sit outside along the stairs or inside on communal table, their menu is simple, a few tapas, juice, a main course and some dessert. Very delicious big sized tapas, love the Mexican tofu and black bean quesadilla, the zucchini and basil soup is fantastic, an they have a good selection of local brewed beer

Very nice. Delicious food and a very nice concept. You can order a soup, which changes everyday. Between three kinds of Tapas, a main course and four different dessert. Like it and the team is very friendly.

Ce restaurant est exceptionnel, l'équipe travaille dur pour délivrer des plats différents (et de qualité !) chaque jour, et tous les ingrédients sont de qualité. Ils proposent également un large choix de boissons (bières artisanales, thés froids, cidre etc).

What a fantastic find on our first evening in Lisbon. Thought we'd call to reserve table as others had suggested it gets busy and glad we did because it's small and cosy and very popular. And for very good reason. Warm friendly people, fresh tasty food, happy calm ambience, and very well priced. Beautiful place, thanks for feeding us.

Mega freundliches Personal und nette Atomsphäre. Leider sind aber die Portionen etwas klein und teuer. Das Essen an sich ist jetzt nicht super-speziell und in der Küche wird wohl aus Überzeugung ohne Salz gekocht. Warum eigentlich? Vegane Küche kann ja durchaus etwas Feuer und Geschmack haben, hier ist aber wohl sogar Salz und Gewürze "böse". Für der Hauptgang (Reis mit ein paar Würfeln Seitan und Aubergine) 11.50 zu verlangen ist dann schon etwas frech. Für 2 Personen haben wir dann über 40 Euro bezahlt, was schon ein stolzer Preis ist, wenn man nicht satt wird.

Du love pour cette adresse vegan en plein cœur de Lisbonne !
Petit resto bien caché entre les mini ruelles et les escaliers du quartier de l'Alfama, malgré google map et le gps on a vraiment eu du mal à trouver (en plus il faisait nuit, et il pleuvait). Mais on a quand même pensé à réserver une table car c'est vraiment tout petit et hyper rempli.
Le menu change tout les jours, la cuisine est ouverte sur la cuisine, le cuistot a l'air trop cool, ça sent HYPER bon et c'est en mode zéro prise de tête. On décide donc de prendre 2 entrées différentes pour partager, avec du vino verde pour ma copine et de la bière du coin pour moi (de la IPA !). C'était frais, c'était bon, c'était coloré et c'était surtout plein de saveurs.
Et puis arrive enfin le plat principale : une sorte de chili con carne avec du brocoli, du tofu free, du fromage vegan, plein d'aromate et du riz. Et BOUYA que c'était bon ! Ma copine qui n'est absolument pas végé c'est autant régalé que moi malgré le tofu dont elle n'a pas l'habitude. On a absolument rien laissé dans l'assiette.
Niveau dessert on a choisi un truc au pif à partager et on a pas été hyper convaincu par contre. Mais le reste était tellement bon !
Finalement on a même fait des heures sup en goûtant de nouvelles bières.
Et je recommande à 200%.

Great vegan food in a street restaurant!
Each night they serve one soup, three tapas and one main, and we had them all. They were so tasty and delicious! The drinks were fab and the staff very friendly.

The Food Temple is near Alfama, Lissabon. It is super cute place with very friendly staff and they make great, healthy, organic food. It's a little pricy, but totally worth it. We ordered two soups for each and two tapas and one main dish to share and we both left super full. We also had a house wine and a cider and the bill was closer to 30e, but as I said, it is more than worth it.
If you don't have a Portuguese credit or debit card, take cash with you. ATM is also close to the place.

Possibly the friendliest restaurant ever. We turned up very late on the recommendation of our Air BnB host, who used to work there. The staff were starting to clean up but offered to let us eat with them after hours. We stayed chatting and drinking until very late. Beautiful people!

This place was very disappointing. The amount of food was ridiculously small. The staff were all smiles but that's as far as it went. The food took ages to come out and it was too spiced up. I'm afraid I would not recommend it.

Make reservations before you come! This place is super popular! Honestly, this was my highlight in Lisbon. The staff are super friendly and menu is set up in a unique way. The food was incredible! Sitting on stairs and eating was a unique experience for sure. I hope I have the chance to come back and visit again!

The Food Temple is a very nice vegan restaurant with friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. It is often quite full so reserving a table is a good idea.
They have daily changing menu with a soup, three tapas and a main dish: I think best way is to share full menu between two people, otherwise it's rather pricey (~ 25 € + drinks). Nice selection of local craft beers.
Food is nice and they are clearly trying to keep it imaginative. I would really love to give them five stars, but for the price I would have expected a bit more exercise for my taste buds. Still best vegan food in Lisbon so far and how they'll find the little extra zing that would make it amazing.

Amazing vegan food. In a warm spring night you get to eat outside, either on the tables or on the lovely staircase of this miniscule square. It's like a Petit village with the nicest hosts possible.

Great vegetarian and vegan food, nice selection of beers and wines. Recommend sitting outside with a bottle of rose, watch the world go by. If you're lucky you might see or even get a didgeridoo massage (I'm not joking).

Nice atmosphere, beautiful place in the evening that impressed is first. However, the food had no taste at all and was very dry, we could barely finish it, to be honest. On top, the waitress forgot our order several times so we had to wait a long time.

This place has a great location in a little square! Some tables are set up on the steps, where you dine under some trees and outdoor lights. Great food with a lot of different flavors and nicely presented. Portions are a little on the small side - soup, one of each of the tapas, and one main dish was good for 3 of us who weren't too hungry.

Delicious all-vegan food served in this gem of a restaurant. They have an ever changing small menu of daily specials. Everything tasted fantastic. The staff speak English and explained what each dish contained. Highly recommended.

Wow, this place is utterly incredible. An awesome all vegan restaurant run by lovely young people who work SO hard to bring a new menu every day.
Prices are (in my opinion) pretty cheap considering the amount and quality of food you get. Ingredients are the freshest available, sourced on the day with the menu shaped around what is available.
My partner and I shared 3 dishes of tapas and the main course. All were stunning, and we were very full at the end of the meal. This, plus drinks cost just over €30, which, when considering the quality of the food and the service is cheap compared to a lot of restaurants in town.
There's a reason this restaurant has 5 stars. It is that good.

Magic evening for us. Beautiful place, very friendly staff, nice food (even if you're not vegan). Reservation mandatory. We got lost because they are two different "Beco do Jasmim" in the neigbourhood so be sure you have the right location.

It was good that we arrived 5 minutes before the restaurant opened. We got the last of their 6 tables in their tiny open air court yard; all 5 other tables were already reserved. Their daily menu is very simple: 1 soup, 3 tapas, and 1 main dish to choose from; and to mix and match. My girlfriend and I shared two tapas (white bean dip, asian noodles) and the main dish (chick pea and vegetable stew). Everything was delicious and very nicely presented. The team was very friendly and didn't try to sell you more than you could eat. Only complaint was the desert (cherry brownie), it was too dry and we missed the cherry taste.

Wonderful vegetarian food, freshly cooked before your eyes. Outside seating in a peaceful, small square. A perfect place to enjoy good food and relax after a hard day's sightseeing! Book in advance to be sure of a table.
