Pay no mind to the other reviews they were made by their own teachers. IGOT is a disorganized faculty with lots of bureaucratic nonsense, where teachers are arrogant and lazy. If you study here you will learn nothing and be scarred from the experience. Among the teachers I had, one was an open racist, another was anti-science. I made a master here that ended up taking 4 years because they don't warn you about the deadlines for all the nonsensical bureaucracy. The master was evaluated by people with no scientific knowledge who didn't even read the thesis properly. I am ashamed of myself for having studied at such a bad faculty.

A escola superior de referência em Portugal para Geografia e Ordenamento do Território. Desde 2010 é a única instituição de ensino superior do país especializada na área. É uma das escolas da maior Universidade Portuguesa, a Universidade de Lisboa. À qualidade dos seus cursos, junta-se o Centro de Estudos Geográficos, Unidade de Investigação & Desenvolvimento, que foi classificada pelo painel internacional da FCT como Excelente. É neste Centro que os docentes e investigadores que leccionam no Instituto desenvolvem a sua investigação científica e onde os alunos desenvolvem também muitos dos seus trabalhos. Em 2015 o IGOT terá novas instalações também na Cidade Universitária, o que permitirá aos alunos terem melhores condições de trabalho.
