Well, it's a tram. With just one stop each direction. And highly irregular departure - like with every transportation in Lisbon. But the path is fun and the people in streetside are unforgettable. It's better to take the tram bottom up as it's starting from within the building and with day ticket loaded on the viva there is no additional cost. Don't aim for the last departure as at 21 there are only closed doors.

Cost was included in our hill tram tour so was worth experiencing but I'm not sure it is something I'd pay €3.8s for otherwise. Takes you up or down a steep hill that is on an interesting street and probably best seen walking down where you can get a good picture of the tram car. Everything is covered in graffiti

Fun way to go from waters edge up into town. Fare includes return trip, generally a short wait at each end. The service gets very busy in the afternoons with some queues. Earlier in the day no waiting and travel up with the locals.
