Ricardo and his wife are the most gracious of hosts, taking time to explain each course and providing excellent recommendations for the wandering traveler. If you want to experience an intimidate Portuguese meal, you won’t be disappointed.

Wow, what a night. It is off season (April) and the restaurant was not busy. The food was really good. I have never met more gracious and welcoming hosts. This is a night to remember.

Prezzi troppo alti per il servizio, per la sala e per il quartiere in cui si trova. Attenti ai piatti che vi fanno trovare sul tavolo all'ingresso, se li mangiate e non li rispedite in cucina, li pagherete ad un caro prezzo.

I'd call this place a joke but the joke was on us. in a nutshell, overrated, overpriced and tbh we felt it was a scam or tourist trap. This place is reservation only, seems to be a family owned place serving homemade food - and it would be great but - the owner insisted so much on how the food was being freshly prepared there's nothing that justifies a ONE hour wait for a steak or any grilled food. To be franc almost EVERY place in Portugal that serves grilled food it is freshly prepared - i mean.. it's grilled. Secondly, the price were just absurd.. Paying more than 20 euros for a steak? Should be special right? nope. The famously and repeatedly announced home made sauce was bland and anything but original. Overall the food wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special either. For the price and service announced it was frustrating and lacked quality. On a last note, the attitude of the owner left a sour taste too, serving multiple tables alone is not easy but.. he seemed stressed about any request, everything had to be done on his time. To make things worse the owner still made comments about other restaurants and how they were terrible and his restaurant was so much better. Sad. Hope this review helps others and to be honest, hope it helps the owners to improve: the food isnt bad but you're aiming at a quality and service level that's way beyond your offering and obviously a huge mismatch with the pricing.

This place was recommended by our hotel and we had a wonderful meal. The host and the chef (husband and wife) are lovely people. Very reasonably priced too.

We are so glad we found this hidden gem !! Ricardo was so kind and friendly with us, the food was stunning... we had the bacalhau and it was the best of our lives ! He brought such a great wine for me and made us feel at home. If you're coming to Lisbon that's definitely a place we can't miss if you want to have an unforgettable experience. The couple (she cooks, he serves) are nice and doing their best. The vegetable soup was tasty, and the grilled sea bass excellent. The mixed salad was ok (1980s style), and dessert moussess are prefabricated. Prices are much too high for Lisbon.

Great place, would definitely recommend highly if you love fresh and authentic portugese food. Ricardo & Ana are great and amusing hosts, only Ana speaks english but Ricardo will teach you Portugese in a very amusing manner if you’re up for it! Delicious ham, octopus salad and Arroz Mariscos! Gotten a bit more expensive so account for about 60€ each including wine for a three course meal.

I found this place my first night in Lisbon. Maria and her husband run this restaurant and do an amazing job. I didn’t know we needed reservations but they got us a table anyway. My son and I were the only ones in the restaurant after another couple left and we felt like we were family. The food was amazing but the friendly service was even better.

I have been in lisbon for almost 12 days and have been recommended to and tried many restaurants. this has been the best restaurant i have been to. The main concept of the restaurant is very original and is a family restaurant. I am definitely coming back with my family as this was an amazing meal for us. We not only enjoyed the food but the service was very good and the staff are very friendly. I 10/10 recommend.

Dommage. Les plats sont bons et frais sans être exceptionnels, mais les prix bien au dessus de la moyenne à qualité égale. Le service extrêmement lent et l'ambiance triste. Aucun portugais parmi les clients ce soir là et une facture élevée pour une soirée décevante.

Petite anecdote, J'ai contacté ce restaurateur pour reserver le soir même. Malgré mon mauvais langage portugais, il a pris ma réservation pour 21h. Arrivées sur place, nous avons sonné pour entrer dans ce restaurant. L'accueil compliqué, le repas bon. la note doit être vérifier car des erreurs de 4 euros voir plus peuvent s'y glisser.

É preciso fazer reserva mas é um lugar fantástico, excelente decoração e comida portuguesa muito bem confecionada! Simpatia e tratamento personalizado.

Food was absolutely lovely and given it's close proximity to my hotel I couldn't have been happier. It was recommended by the concierge at our hotel and I presume all others in the restaurant found the place the same way as there were only tourists here. That isn't necessarily a bad thing but something of note. It is a husband and wife team with the wife the cook and the husband the server. Do not expect swift service but sit back and enjoy the food. We came during the first week of July and it was extremely hot so please beware.

Very friendly, cozy, and worth a stop. If you have to wait, they'll offer you some good wine to make the wait super simple.
