Food was really good, but not worth it for the amount of time we waited to get it, and the wait for the drinks. Also 3 of my choices were sold out(also no artesian beer, unlike the pictures online) and we were not given a heads up, I settled for water. Bills and payment also took so long I just went up to pay. Maybe they had an off night because of the festival?

Service was good. Ambiance was ok . Menu and drink choice fair. Taste and quality of food was ordinary. Waitress with glasses had nonchalant attitude and rude behavior to customers.

I thought this place had really good food and service at a decent price point. We ordered the salmon, Portuguese beef, bread, olives, and two glasses of sangria and the total was €28.90. The main dishes were about €10 each and came with a large portion of meat, potatoes and steamed broccoli or rice and batatas. Both of our dishes were quite salty but I'm American so I loved it. Finally a place that uses salt. My fish was cooked perfectly and the salt made a nice crust on the grill. My partner's steak was medium rare and so tender and delicious. The sangria was also good and had fruit and spices in it. Overall a very enjoyable meal. It did take about an hour to get our food but they were busy and had free WiFi so I didn't mind. Good place.

We went to the wine bar. Excellent selection of Portuguese wines and cheeses. Carolina is not only an excellent host but a fountain of knowledge on Portuguese artisanal produce. Would happily recommend it.

Sem dúvida um restaurante a visitar em Alfama, a Muralha com o seu ar mais " antigo " Que chama sem dúvida a atenção do cliente por ter assim um aspecto diferente de todos os outros.
Com uma comida excelente e muito típica portuguesa a juntar ao excelente atendimento com muita boa disposição por parte das empregadas, Vera e Maria.
Ambiente muito bom para puder levar a família ou até mesmo para algo mais romântico.
Com uma bela escolha de vinhos e uma boa sugestão por parte de todos.

Had the best lunch since I came to Lisbon. The waitress was extremely kind and gave us a table within minutes although many were reserved. They have an English menu and prices are very very reasonable for the delicious food! Definitely a MUST try!!! Try the duck rice and codfish a bras! The meat was really tasty as well! Best sangrias! Absolutely love it

Ik heb hier tijdens een conferentie twee keer heerlijk wijn gedronken met daarbij een mooi bord hapjes. Verwacht geen grote borden eten, het is een wijnbar. Wat me opviel wat de kennis van Muralha over wijn. Ze had al snel door dat ik zowel een liefhebber als een kenner ben, ze heeft me heerlijke onbekende wijnen laten proeven. Zeker een aanrader dus voor de geoefende wijndrinker, maar ook laagdrempelig genoeg voor de liefhebber die gewoon iets lekkers wil.

Buena atención y un lugar donde poder comer pescado a la brasa y comida portuguesa,la ensalada de pulpo buenísima y el bacalao a Lagareiro y sobre todo muy fresquito debajo de su viñedo.

Tipical restaurant, don't have a great variety on the menu. The meat apparently is ok, I am a vegetarian, so I can't sa t for sure. Twice I had a codfish dish, very typical, you can find it anywhere, and it was not good. It has a space outside quite agreeable, with tables and chairs.

I called to book a table. No one answer at the Phone. I leaved a message. I recall for security, because I could having a dinner here only that night. The waiter answered that they received the message, but it wasn't possibile booking a table because they was full. In the message I invited them to Call me if there was any problem and I leaved my Phone number with prefix. So, I Think it might be easy recalling me to say that. The waiter Didn't ask me sorry. Not polite and professional.

Superbe endroit chaleureux et convivial ! Service au petit soin et parlant de nombreuses langues. Les grillades sont un régale à un prix très abordable (7,90€) l'assiette de grillade mix avec frites et riz .
Je recommande fortement ! Contrairement aux autres restaurant ceci n'est pas un piège à touriste et ai souvent rempli de locaux .

i’ve had better school dinners!!! do not come here if you are vegetarian! seems like you’re getting a bargain and then their signature vegetarian dish (literally named after the restaurant) turns out to be shop bought pasta in a tiny bowl. my ‘2 cheese’ pizza was so obviously bought in a supermarket. the 1 star was for the staff as they were friendly yet the one waiter would not let us order wine until the male of the family was back from the toilet. also was a bit pushy with giving us food we did not want and trying to give us more expensive beer and vodka. worst meal I have had to endure in portugal and probably back in england as well. wish i’d just gone to the supermarket.

Nos sentamos a cenar por casualidad, y nos llevamos una grata sorpresa. El filete a la pimienta que me pedí, lo hicieron en su punto justo y estaba muy sabroso. La camarera fue un encanto y aunque estaban a tope de lugareños no se resintió en el servicio prestado. También decir que comer bajo una parra en medio de Lisboa se hace muy especial. Volveremos sin duda.

We got a veritable sh*tload of food for a very reasonable price. Waiters were friendly and happy to look after us. Packed up anything we didn’t eat for our breakfast the next day which we were very happy about. My only gripe is that the menu should have clearly stated that fish choices are subject to what is fresh and available on the night as only two fish options were available out of a choice of about eight. Obviously, I appreciate that they refused to serve fish that wasn’t fresh off the boat but it’s still a bit disconcerting to be told when ordering that the choice is either, sardines or sea bass. Other that this however, delighted with the food and the service.

Зашли поесть(прочитав отзывы в Google Maps ) в субботу во второй половине дня около 16.00 ,были уже очень голодны. Внутри было пару человек которые уже закончили обед вскоре ушли. Заказали два супа а также треску и осьминога.Суп был неплохой но не горячий. Вторые блюда были явно разогретыми причём осьминог был очень жёсткий и разогрет неравномерно - внутри явно не прогрелся и был холодный .Съедобно да,недорого - да, вкусно - назвать невозможно.

My favorite restaurant in the whole of Lisbon! Traditional Portuguese food in a restaurant built against the origional wall that protected Lisbon. I've eaten here each time I've come to lisbon in the past 5 years and never been disappointed. The staff are warm and inviting as is the owner. Don't hesitate to visit!

It is a great restaurant with great quality/price rate. The owner is always with attention to the customer, and makes sure you leave satisfied. The menu is mainly Portuguese traditional food, of great quality and fresh produce. It is nice to go to a restaurant, feel welcomed by the owners and being really well served. They know how to serve you, how to cook, also all meat cooking points. Thank you and keep up the good work. I go there for some years now, and will return for sure

Très simple, bon et pas cher (à condition de refuser pain, olives etc), pratique si vous êtes pressé. Il est recommandé de réserver, sinon vous devrez manger en terrasse, ce n'est pas un problème mais il y avait beaucoup de monde autour de moi et de bruit lors de mon repas ainsi que des fumeurs.

Lugar sencillo, de trato cercano y amable, buena comida a buen precio. Ambiente local, lo cual se agradece mucho encontrar en ciudades muy turísticas como Lisboa. Tuvimos la suerte de poder disfrutar de una noche con fado en directo de manera espontánea, unos señores y una señora deleitando con su música por gusto, con mucho arte. Muy buena experiencia, repetiría sin dudas. Obrigada, hasta la próxima.

Trovato per caso, devo ammettere che rappresenta una delle tappe irrinunciabili se si vuole gustare dell'ottima cucina portoghese in una tasca tipica di Lisbona. Il locale, con arredamento rustico ed essenziale ma molto accogliente, è piccolo ed ha una trentina di coperti (quindi consiglio di prenotare soprattutto nei weekend e se si è più di due persone). La cucina offerta è quella tipica portoghese, si svaria quindi dalla carne al pesce, tutti di ottima qualità. Consiglio vivamente i tipici gamberetti all'aglio e i gamberi alla muralha, senza tralasciare il polpo alla portoghese. In quanto ai dolci, provata la mousse al cioccolato, davvero sublime. Ottima anche la scelta dei vini. Personale professionale, servizio veloce e prezzi onesti. Consigliatissimo.

VERY DISAPPOINTING last dinner in Portugal. Had made reservations for a Monday night due to no availability the first time I went. The pics of the food in the reviews looked delicious and truly Portuguese and so I was super stoked to try this place
However none of that delicious looking food was actually on the menu, all had been specials from past times. So the waitress hurried me into ordering because she was about to take a large parties order and said I have to wait over an hour if I didn’t hurry up and order.
So the food, the olives and bread were good one star a piece. And I got a cheese augratin appetizer which was literally just sliced cheese half melted, still in the slices, with some dried oregano sprinkled on top.
Then the mixed meat grill, recommended as a specialty. Hmm....French fries, white rice and the thinnest piece of cow I’ve seen with a Portuguese sausage. There was nothing in this meal that required or tasted like any skill had been put into the cooking. Basically all wasted calories.
Lessons learned - don’t let the waitress rush you into ordering and if your looking for something special that you see in a pic make sure they have it that night.

Sit outside. Lovely atmosphere, great staff. Do, or don't, get the Verde wine for breakfast. Couldn't stop ourselves having another. Had mixed feelings on the food. The garlic and butter sauce the prawns came with was supreme, it coated them like cellophane. The prawns though had that rubbery texture that makes me suspect they were cooked from frozen or overcooked. Still, with that sauce, very edible.

Lovely place to eat lunch. Reasonable price, took a while for food to come but food was nice. Do a lovely chicken and delicious garlic prawns, as well as a good steak. We sat outside whilst it was busy which was pleasant, the area was quiet but the restaurant seemed popular.

Típica tasca un poco fuera de lo que es la parte más turística de Lisboa el primer día que fuimos estaba llena y no esperamos intentamos reservar para el día siguiente pero no admiten reservas.El día siguiente fuimos más temprano y solo esperamos el tiempo de tomar una cerveza. Tiene una gran variedad de platos y los precios son acordes a lo servido.Salimos satisfechos el servicio muy bueno y rápido.

Como se não bastasse o sabor, o atendimento de Felipe e Maria é um grande diferencial. O custo não é dos mais caros (fazendo uma média da atenção e sabor, sai tudo bem). Vale à pena conhecer “a garrafeira” do Paulo - porta imediatamente ao lado do restaurante que serve de wine house; Paulo é super atencioso e dono d’A Muralha e da garrefeira. Service sympathique et chaleureux dans un bon restaurant à la fois familial et des touristes individuels. Recommandé par habitants de l'Alfama. Prix très raisonnables .

Consigliato da amici di Lisbona, piccolo e caratteristico locale di Lisbona, pesce freschissimo e specialità locali accompagnate da un ottimo Mateus. Proprietario e personale al Top. Al termine del pranzo ci ha accompagnato e fatto conoscere una vicina cantina con ottimi vini e birre. consigliato e da provare

Good value,simple Portuguese fare in Alfama. Home style coking,nothing fancy but good portions and well cooked. Used by locals so that was reassuring. Friendly staff run the place well.

Un très bon dîner en famille, service très accueillant, les plats étaient délicieux, surtout le « bras » de morue, et copieux ! Les prix sont plus que raisonnables. On recommande !

Majísimo camarero, excelente atención se esfuerza mucho en hablarte en tu idioma. Se pueden disfrutar vinos quesos y embutidos de Portugal, explicándote de donde viene cada uno. El ambiente es acogedor e informal, en un rincón de Alfama recomendable!

Fuimos a cenar para un menú de degustación de carnes que valió mucho la pena. Recomiendo sobretodo el secreto y la recomendación de vino que nos dieron. El restaurante es un poco sencillo pues es más parecido a un bar pero ésta es la gracia del local. El servicio fue muy atento y la comida deliciosa.

L'endroit est très chaleureux, le personnel très sympathique et efficace. Nous avons goûté du poulpe braisé et un plat de morue. Ingrédients frais, bien cuisinés et toute petite addition... Bref, une excellente adresse.

Excelente restaurante onde se come muito bem e a bom preço. No entanto o melhor da casa é o atendimento onde tanto o dono como os empregados fazem questão de se colocar ao dispor do cliente. O restaurante possui um bar de vinhos e queijos ao lado simplesmente divinal e que é uma excelente opção para antes ou após o jantar. A recomendar a cerveja artesanal Muralha feita propositadamente para a casa e com um toque a gengibre que acompanhou muito bem o fantástico bife que comi. Vou voltar logo que possível.

Tellement bon, pas trop de touristes, et c'est tellement typique, serveuse efficace, nourriture délicieuse à des prix imbattables. Nous y sommes même retournés. La. Terrasse est très jolie couverte par de la vigne. Je le conseille vivement. J'ai adoré.

A qualidade da comida deixa um pouco a desejar. A grelhada mista de peixe consistia em meio besugo, uma (!) sardinha e um (!) micro carapau. Para o que se comeu (em qualidade e quantidade) o preço foi exorbitante. Típica armadilha para turista.

Muito ruim, decidi pelo bacalhau à moda Muralha, recebi um prato com restinhos e espinho e nem mostrando para um cara que deve ser o cozinheiro , convenceu se que eu estava certo. Estávamos ali, porque eu estava com vontade de comer um bacalhau de respeito em Lisboa. Portanto lugar não recomendado.

Fomos no âmbito da rota da tapa . A tapa estava boa . A morcela era bastante saborosa. O atendimento foi óptimo . Tem espaço na esplanada e dentro o que facilita a coisa .
Fui uma segunda vez para jantar , doses super pequenas .... ridículo ! Simpáticos .

Gutes, solides Essen. Keine Spitzenküche, aber ordentliche Hausmannskost. Großartiger Service, der stets bemüht ist, zu unterhalten und natürlich weitere Gerichte anzubieten. ;)

Ein paar Häuser weiter befindet sich eine Bar, die zum Restaurant gehört. Dort ist das Ambiente etwas schicker.

Buena comida y precios baratos, la terraza es además muy agradable. Las dos únicas pegas es que tardaron bastante en servir la comida y las raciones son algo escasas, aunque al ser baratas, puedes pedir más. El camarero muy simpático.

BBB Buena comida, Baratito, Buena atencion de los camareros. Fuimos y repetimos al dia siguiente. Quizas echar en falta el menú en español, porque somos mayoría entre los turistas, aunque los camareros lo hablan muy bien. Y si vuelvo a Lisboa me encantara comer alli.
