Best Western as a brand is always okay . The bed was really comfy and pillows too . Very happy with the breakfast and I would definitely stay there again . Polite and very helpful staff , Very quiet and very good .

I can't give a good review to this place. Upon check-in I specifically asked about WiFi and they said it's available. In our room, our Apple phones would not connect. At the service desk we were given an excuse that we'd have to shutdown/restart the phones, which did not help at all. Even my laptop refused to connect. So be aware that their WiFi is awful.
Also, I was charged more in person in comparison to the online price I had found earlier that very morning.
Room was clean, breakfast was ok and staff were friendly.

I loved our stay in this hotel. The building is charming. The rooms are spacious, we had an additional sitting area with a sofa bed as well as the bedroom. We also had a balcony where we could sit and overlook a stork and chick on their nest on the church opposite. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were varied and delicious. It was a 10 minute walk down quiet streets to the old town, harbour and restaurants. The only issue was the tiny carpark, but we managed!

朝ごはんが揃っていて満足でした。毎日同じでしたが温かいものは、半熟のスクランブルエッグと小さなウインナーがありました。胡桃とメープルシロップのデニッシュがとても美味しかったです。隣の教会にはコウノトリの巣があり毎日微笑ましく観察することも出来ました。ファロ駅からは一キロほど歩きますが慣れるとセントラルにもすぐ出られて、また近くにAuchanもあるので買い出しも楽です。部屋に冷蔵庫もあります。

Grande chambre avec salle de bain très vieillissante voire vétuste. Salle de petit-déjeuner en sous sol, sans fenêtre, pas très accueillant. A 10mn a pied du port. Parking véhicule avec seulement 5-6 places très étroites et difficile à manœuvrer dans une ruelle derrière l hotel. Cher pour les prestations proposées.

Bien placé en haut de la vieille ville à 10 minutes à pied des points à visiter.Personnel très aimable et serviable. Quelques uns parlent français.Chambre de bonne dimension et literie excellente. Grands placards. Mobilier de qualité et harmonieux.Petits déjeuners internationaux complets.Problème: il n a pas de ventilation mécanique contrôlée (VMC) dans la chambre.Le premier matin, les vitres étaient complètement embuées ! Nous avons été amenés à laisser la lumière allumée dans la salle de bains pour que la ventilation de cette pièce reste en service pendant toute la nuit. Nous avions signalé à la réception quil manquait la moitié de la tablette du lavabo (cassée). Demande restée sans réponse durant notre séjour.

The hotel is located a short walk from the walled town and marina part of Faro and also from the central market and local football teams ground. The staff were all very helpful and every one I had dealings with went out of the way to be helpful, the room was very spacious and bright and the bathroom was also kept very clean, the room has a kettle and tea and coffee provided. The surrounding area has plenty of cafe's, bars and restaurants.

Wir waren 4 Nächte hier und hatten ein Zimmer im ersten Stock Richtung Straße. In der ersten Nacht haben wir die Straße schon deutlich gehört, die Fenster sind einfach verglast, nachts ist aber kaum Verkehr auf der Straße. Mit der Zeit gewöhnt man sich dran. Also wenn man einen festen Schlaf hat alles prima.
Das Frühstück war gut, lediglich die Eier leider immer kalt. Den frisch gepressten Orangensaft musste man leider extra bezahlen aber 1,5€ pro Glas ist noch ok. Es gibt hier 2 Kaffeemaschinen. Die Senseo macht Espresso, dieser ist gut, mit 2 mal drücken und Milch hat man einen guten Kaffee. Der Vollautomat ist einfach schlecht.
Das Frühstück ist zwar im Keller, aber es gibt ein Atrium durch das Licht kommt.
Zimmer war nett eingerichtet, die Matrazen waren gut. Wir hatten 2 Betten und 2 Decken. Zusätzliche Kissen und Decken waren im Schrank.
Der Safe war irgendwie merkwürdig bis nicht vorhanden.
Das Bad hatte ein Bidet, ein Klo, ein Waschbecken und eine Badewannendusche (mit Duschvorhang)
Es war sauber.
Zusätzlich gab es einen Föhn im Bad und auf dem Zimmer einen Wasserkocher mit Tee und löslichen Kaffee.
Das Personal war super nett, gute Restauranttipps haben wir auch bekommen.
Alles in allem also gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
Der Hotelparkplatz ist wirklich klein und sehr eng, wir haben hier nie geparkt. Eine Straße weiter oben hinter der Kirche ist ein großer öffentlicher Parkplatz, hier haben wir immer was gefunden und man hat Platz.

Prima Hotel. Zimmer zur Stadt (201) ruhig. Parkplatz war vorhanden aber wie in Faro überall, auch die Straßen, knapp bemessen. Service Prima. Frühstück für 7,50 Euro angemessen.

Hôtel bien situé pour découvrir Faro à pied. Personnel accueillant et souriant. Petit déjeuner copieux. En revanche l’hôtel est bruyant avec des aboiements de chiens pendant la nuit et une mauvaise insonorisation. La climatisation était bruyante aussi, impossible pour nous de dormir avec.

Schone kamer en badkamer. Goed bed. Vriendelijke personeel bij de receptie. Spreken Engels. Dakterras met mooi uitzicht. Ontbijt kost 7,50€,wat prijzig is in Portugal. Om de hoek op een terras,betaalden we 2€ voor een grote koffie met een soort wentelteefjes.

Vollkommen in Ordnung für zwei Nächte. Geräumiges Zimmer und Bad mit großer Badewanne und Queensize Bett. Zu Fuß 12 Minuten zum Bahnhof und ca. genauso lange in die Stadt. Nettes Personal. Frühstück habe ich nicht in Anspruch genommen, in der Stadt gibt es zahlreiche Cafés.

Kamers zijn goed, maar wel gehorig.
Ontbijt is goed verzorgd, geen overdreven luxe, maar wel alle ingrediënten voor een goed begin van de dag. De beloofde wifi is niet van goede kwaliteit, werkt eigenlijk alleen rondom de receptie.

Wir haben uns im BW Faro sehr wohl gefühlt. die Stadt ist von dort gut zu erlaufen. Zum Flughafen sind es mit dem Shuttle oder Taxi ca. 13 min. Zum Flughafen Bus Nr. 16 sind es ca. 800 m zu Fuss. Frühstück optional war gut.Hinter dem Hotel gibt es ca. 4-5 Parkplätze.

Estou em viagem com minha família, tendo minha irmã feito reserva de um quarto triplo para o hotel Best Western São Bernardo Faro. Ao realizar o chek in para os dias 20 a 25, nos foi disponibilizado um quarto duplo, apartamento número 203, com uma cama de armar. Ao tentar esclarecer a situação com a rececionista, uma senhora que não se identificou, mas posteriormente fui informada se tratar da funcionária de nome Alexandra, a mesma nos respondeu que o hotel não tem quartos triplos, o que não é verdade, pois esta opção de quatro existe e pode ser verificada no buscador Booking. Como se não bastasse faltar com a verdade, retrucou que não tinha que nos esclarecer nada, posto que quem fez a reserva foi uma tal de Hotuza! Quando esclareci que o serviço era prestado pelo Hotel e ela como funcionária nos devia uma explicação, respondeu que quando fizemos o chek in deveríamos ter nos reportado a tal intermediária, e que se estávamos descontentes que saíssemos do hotel! Minha irmã apontou que as diárias já estavam pagas e que não se tratava um cliente daquela forma. Uma situação absurda, que tem ainda como agravante o fato de que um hotel classificado como de 3 estrelas não promove a troca de toalhas de banho, o wifi não funciona, não nos possibilitaram estacionar no estacionamento do hotel, e o atendimento prestado pela tal senhora que nos atendeu hoje por volta das 22 horas é inaceitável!

Accueil professionnel, arrivés trop tôt, garde de valise pour que nous puissions nous balader. Chambres propres et fonctionnelles. Petits déjeuners au top ! Un jus d'orange frais est servi en sus ! Malgré une proximité de l'aéroport pas de soucis de bruits. Bonne situation dans Faro pour voyager à pieds. Bon séjour.

Estancia de una noche, barata. Habitación sencilla. Destacar la comodidad de la cama y las almohadas, realmente ambas muy buenas. Un detalle con el que acertaron de pleno es la gentileza de un hervidor de agua con café soluble/té/leche por si no queríamos desayunar en el comedor. Baño muy sencillo, con bañera y bidé. Se agradece la amabilidad de la recepcionista Fátima, muy atenta y servicial en todo momento. Sin duda lo recomendamos.

Expérience dune journée et une nuit mais renouvelée sur 2 ans (jy suis donc retournée car jen avais été contente) :Hôtel bien situé, à 10 mn du centre historique et centre ville et 15 mn de laéroport en taxi.Propre, literie confortable récente. Chambre pas très grande mais avec tout le confort moderne : TV, clim, bouilloire avec thé et café, frigo, coffre... Le personnel parle français ou anglais (selon qui est à laccueil), très aimable et près à renseigner.Il vaut mieux éviter les chambres sur la rue car elle est passagère.

Nice and clean hotel. Only problem is that it's very noisy when the cleaning staff is cleaning, because they move furniture around in the rooms and sound travels really well in this hotel. Not a huge problem if you get up early though.

Tolles Stadthotel in Faro. Zimmer groß und sauber. Großer Balkon im 5 Stock. Personal sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Frühstück war ausreichend, es gab alles was man wollte. Kaffee Auswahl, Saft Auswahl, Käse Wurst Eier Brote Marmelade usw
Für uns als Familie, die zum Faro Cup anreiste, war es sehr angenehm und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl

Have stayed at this hotel several times. 10 minutes from train station and seafront. Very clean rooms and super helpful staff. Bars and restaurants close by. 15 minutes to airport by taxi or bus is very cheap as well.

La posizione è abbastanza centrale e molto tranquilla. In 10 minuti si arriva in centro e al porto. Personale molto gentile. L'arredamento era piuttosto datato sia nella camera sia nel bagno. Il bagno aveva la vasca con la tenda per fare la doccia. Un giorno non ci è stata rifatta la camera, non abbiamo avvisato per cui non so che problema possa esserci stato (siamo tornati in albergo dopo pranzo per 1 o 2 ore mettendo fuori il cartello di non disturbare per il tempo in cui siamo rimasti in camera, magari è dipeso da questo)

There were some drain smell in the bathroom. Room is spacious and clean.
It’s a little bit far away from the train station and bus terminal but if you take uber from there it’s only 2.5euros so it’s perfectly fine.

There was a sharp metal thing sticking out of the bathroom floor. I'd recommend a stay here if you'd like to impale your foot or get tetanus. The drain in the shower didn't work and nearly flooded the bathroom while I was showering. Would have been 1 star but the staff were nice and the room was generally quiet so that bumps it up to 2.

We stayed at room 504 for 2 nights. Room smell of strong bleach upon arrival, and all glass doors and windows were full of condensation overnights. Our legs were bitten (midge?) while sleeping. Worst experience in Portugal!

Stayed for 3 nights in January 2020 - Tamara provided exceptional service and patiently answered every typical tourist question, which was well appreciated. Room 207 had a huge comfortable king bed, very clean and faced the water so on a clear day, you could see the water and afternoon sun - just beautiful and inviting. The bathroom was large and hot water and shower pressure were both reliable after a long day of touring the town. It is a 10 minute drive from FAO airport and close enough to train station that you could walk if you wanted to. It is located just outside of the tourist old town so you can find truly local pastry shops and restaurants within 2 blocks. I would definitely stay here again.

들어가자마자 화장실 하수구냄새가 있어서
불편했는데 하루라서 화장실 문 닫아두고 이용했습니다
욕조가 있는 꽤 넓은편의 화장실, 객실 크기도 넓은편입니다!
캐리어 놓을 자리가 넉넉하고, 캐리어 거치대, 넓은 옷장에 옷걸이도 많았습니다.
금고가 있었지만 키로 하는 거라 사용하진 않았습니다.
침대는 좀 딱딱한 편이라 아쉬웠어요
화장실에 샤워젤,샴푸가 공용으로 된 제품과 비누만 준비되어있어서
따로 세면도구를 챙기는 걸 추천하구요.
물은 1층 로비에서 작은거1유로, 큰거 2유로에 판매중이라
밤 늦게 물 하나 사야할때 좋았습니다.

Difficult to find due to one-way system and hotel not being signposted at ground level. My car was damaged by another driver in the car park (who left without reporting it) - the spaces are very narrow. Breakfast was extra and didnt try it. Staff were helpful and room and hotel were clean and comfortable. Room had everything in it you might need, including a fridge and tea things.

In bagno non si apriva la finestra e non si poteva neanche chiudere perché bloccata da costruzione sbagliata, la doccia da fare nella vasca con tenda di plastica dove fuoriusciva l'acqua e allagava il pavimento, mancavano delle mensole per il lavandino.

Arrived late at FAO airport, and did not want to drive through the night at unknown terrain, so decided to stop in Faro city for a night. The Dom Bernardo ticked all the boxes. Room was rather simple but clean, the AC could be used for heating too, which was needed. I availed of the breakfast too the next morning, which was a buffet and good enough for what I paid, except for the nasty coffee (NESCAFE? In Portugal? Are you for real??? Eeeks ). A generous glass of fresh orange juice, squeezed to order, could be had for a 1.50€ surcharge. Staff was friendly. Overall, would stay again

The hotel was very cheap in the off season. It's 5 minutes walking distance from the main cantre, 8 to the sea/marina. The rooms were nice and cozy. The bed itself was superb. I only had the problem of parking which was full and I had to park on the narrow streetw of Faro and that for some reason the fridge was in the middle of the room and not in the intended place under the table. Checked out early on the 24h reception so I didn't try the breakfast.

Two problems:
1. noise. It was very noisy, you hear your neighbours from left and right as well as them from above. Also, you here every noise from the halls and the stairway so that you hear everyone who's checking out in the morning and every talk they have in the halls and every talk in the rooms next to you. Also the street is very noisy and the windows aren't holding back a lot of noise.
2. The huge amount of plastic waste. In 10 Portugese hotels I haven't seen this amount of plastic. In the bathroom there are single plastic cups wrapped again in plastic, soap, wrapped in paper and then again in plastic and 5 tissues again wrapped in plastic. There is a sign at the bathroom mirror which says "let's save our planet together, reuse your towels" but I think you didn't understand what that means. A hotel (chain) like yours could have such a great impact. Please think about better options like glass caraffs with liquid soap you can refill and glasses in the bathrooms

Unhelpful staff's reply when asked what to do in area, they replied: nothing to do and not to walk around after midnight because it is not safe. Fridge and air conditioning not working. Neither of the 2 rooms I rented were clean. The single uncovered light bulb in front of the mirror in the bathroom looked like I was in a hotel room that was rented by the hour. Breakfast that they offer guests like any other BW was "not included" and there would be an added charge that there was no mention of at booking. Overall, not up to the standards of what you would expect from a Best Western from a quality or professional stand point. I will also point out, the checkout clerk, when I approached her with my concerns, dared me to leave that info in a survey. So I am happy to accommodate, something they have not learned to do.

No me gustó. La habitación esta bien, pero fallan en el aparcamiento, apenas 5-6 plazas y hay que hacer mil maniobras para aparcar, sobre todo para salir. Tuve la mala suerte de aparcar fuera de esas plazas porque no habia sitio y esa noche me robaron en el interior del vehiculo. El desayuno bufet no era cosa resaltable, justito. No volveré a este hotel.

Il personale è molto disponibile, cordiale e gentile. La colazione inclusa nel prezzo è abbondante. Le stanze necessitano di molta manutenzione, non sempre vengo rifatte e questo mi ha un po disturbato. Connessione internet lentissima.

Séjour d'une semaine au Dom Bernardo. Tout le personnel est très accueillant et renseigne facilement, notamment Fatima qui parle parfaitement le français donne de très bons renseignements et explications. Petit-déjeuner très copieux. L' hôtel est à 10mn de la lagune, du centre historique, de la gare routiere, à pied c est très facile de s' y rendre. Dans le quartier de l'hôtel de nombreux petits restos pas cher du tout et très bons. Je retournai au BEST WESTERN DOM BERNARDO.. nombreux villages à visiter et la population est très sympathique dans toute la région

I stay her twice a year and feel very save. Clean rooms, wifi, free parking and within walking range of a lot of restaurants. They have an in house bar where some drinks, wine, and beer are available. Air conditioning/heating in all the rooms. Owner hands on in business. Speak multiple languages and employees are trustworthy and respectful.

ins Zentrum sind es 10 min zu Fuß, die sich lohnen. Aber aufpassen, es gibt Bars und Restaurants mit normalen Portugiesischen Preisen und solche mit Touristenpreisen. Der Hafen ist nett aber keine Attraktion. Zum Strand muss man wohl fahren, 10 km. Alles in allem lohnenswert.

The hotel is ideally located for a trip into Faro.Free parking - provided you have a small car - is an added advantage.Room was ready when we checked in and clean - but basic, although there was a mini fridge. We had a room on the back, so no road noise for us.Staff on check-in were fine, breakfast staff busy, so no time to interact.Breakfast was fine, a better fruit selection would be nice, but you cant have it all.Very good value.

Wir haben 1 Nacht hier verbracht, um nach dem Strandurlaub an der Algarve auch Faro kennenzulernen. Positiv: Geräumiges, sehr sauberes Zimmer+Bad, zentrale Lage, Balkon, tolle große Eck-Badewanne, reichhaltiges Frühstück, super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, WLAN, Programm-Auswahl im Fernsehen, sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Negativ: Eingangsbereich roch etwas muffig, Tisch auf dem Balkon verrostet (Metalltisch im obersten Stockwerk ohne Überdachung rostet nunmal schnell), Sprudler der Eck-Wanne haben nicht funktioniert, kein Kühlschrank (nur Hotel-Kühlschrank gegen Gebühr) - im Sommer nicht so toll, wenn man seine Getränke nicht kühlen kann. Alles in Allem aber dennoch empfehlenswert für Kurzurlauber, die die Stadt erkunden wollen!

Came to Faro to attend a conference and brought my two small children (2 & 4) with for a mini break. From the moment I made the reservation - the service was outstanding. All my e mails to the hotel were replied to promptly. Babysitting service was arranged prior to arrival and from the moment I met the sitter, I was put completely at ease. The hotel manager, Lisa Canada was a wealth of information and we were treated by all the staff wonderfully. My children are very active but the staff took this all in their stride. We were given countless maps of places too see (and while the area itself is very small - there is lots to do). Facilities are excellent for the price charged. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Hotel is situated perfectly for exploring the old town and there are an abundance of places to eat within walking distance. I have stayed in numerous hotels and this is definitely one I would return too (minus the kids as I think the staff will need recovery time!) I cannot fault the staff, facilities or location. Would highly recommend!

We stayed at the Best Western Dom Bernardo in Faro, Portugal and throughly enjoyed it. Its great for the amount of money we spent. The front desk staff was friendly and even tried their best to speak English since we knew little Portuguese. The rooms were well kept and the maid services were very generous with their time and dedication in keeping our rooms cleaned and polished. The free WiFi on the main floor was an added bonus and allowed us to meet other travelers. Frank, Lisa and Frankie are delightful hosts and made us feel welcomed with their friendly conversations and when they helped us when we needed it most. I am grateful to have met them.The hotel is situated near great food, shops and a large super mercado. The first night, the front desk clerk recommended Taskas Restaurant for us to taste the cuisine of Faro. What a great recommendation. There are an abundance of restaurants and shops nearby with only a 10-15 minute walk to the marina, local tourist areas, bus depot and train station. We were very lucky to have stayed at the Best Western Dom Bernardo.Please keep in mind that Faro is a dog friendly city and locals love their dogs. This being said, dogs will begin barking at night. The dogs seem to sleep in during the day and wake at night. They will serenade you.
