We have a booking via @bookingcom will full refund conditions until 1st of July but you refuse to refund us ! It's totally illegal even with the exceptional actual circumstances. This resort is great for families with children. Restaurants, pools and communal areas totally set up for peace of mind and de-stressing holiday parenthood. A few points to note - we visited in late May and the wind was excessive making the pool areas unpleasant. We are in all of the restaurants - the family casual dining restaurant was exceptional for what it was - the other more upscale options were good without being great. For top end food, suggest you head out to some of the local restaurants. Kids club was great although a word of warning, you need to book before you arrive to guarantee a place.

We visited here for 7 nights as we have realised we need more baby friendly holidays for our 19month old we don’t normally go for resorty hols so we wanted something special.
Martinhal Sagres didn’t dissapoint in its quality. We had 1 bed apt 325 in the garden as part of baby first holiday package. Some elements of the apt were a bit aged but overall quality facility and well equipped kitchen.
The resort has 3 main restaurants and a popup grill and finally a bar. We are in Oz Gambinos one night and found the pasta really good. Another night we had a 3 course meal in Terraco which is where the main breakfast is offered also. It’s not very special to eat in as it’s just as manic as breakfast but again the food was very good.
The popup grill for takeaway was EXCELLENT! The meat was nicely cooked and very very tasty. The take away from oz gambinos was great too.
Do be aware this whole place shuts at 10pm which is quite early I think. Bar everything is closed.
There is a supermarket onsite but this is expensive expect a heavy markup here for food and things like nappies. If you have a car it’s only a very short spin to sagres to the intermarche for much much much better value.
The creche staff are excellent even with our son not so happy to be left with strangers.
Now the negative. This is hardly their fault short of selection of the site but the wind is constant. Our first 4 days were about 21 degrees but the wind made it feel closer to 15 so not very pleasant to sit out long unless well sheltered. The last 2 days were nothing short of a storm wind which made it drab and cold. This is Sagres I’m reliably told and as such we would be slow to go again instead to opt for maybe the Caiscais site next time.
Maybe if you go in the height of summer the breeze would be welcome but for temps under about 25 I’d expect to feel cold.

Gierig. Gleichzeitig mit meiner online buchung angefragt ob hunde erlaubt sind sie haben per e mail geantwortet hunde sind nicht erlaubt und mir ein anderes hotel empfohlen.
Trotzdem aber 1800 euro von meiner kreditkarte abgebucht...obeohl ich gar nicht im hotel war.
Ich bin sehr enttäuscht. Auf meine anfrage um rückzahlung sagen sie mir nur ich soll das meiner versicherung angeben und erstatten mir den verbuchten betrag nicht. Für mich ein sehr unglaubliches verhalten

Amazing setting. Really spacious accommodations. Extremely helpful staff who found out it was my birthday and left a yummy chocolate birthday cake in the house we were staying in. We stayed there with our one year old.The house we stayed at was really spacious, well-equipped with a high chair, cot, nappy bins, cutlery/plates for toddlers. Welcome pack in the property with milk, juice, jam, etc. They have various playgrounds on-site, a well-equipped indoor play area for little ones, creche services. Really cool floaters for toddlers at the indoor pool. They also have bike rentals with toddler seats. It's a pity we couldn't stay longer and enjoy all the things this resort has to offer: tennis, spa etc... We would love to go back.

Can't wait to stay here again. It's not just the facilities, which are amazing, is the service that sets this place apart from the rest. I stayed with my wife, 5 year old son and 1 year old daughter. The welcome and specific kid focused touches were things we haven't seen before. Items like diaper bin and bathroom stool for kids were nice touches. The kid play area and bar for the moms and dads was perfect. Best family resort I've stayed in world wide. We were sad to leave and are already planning our next trip. Tip: if you drive in, bring a cooler and get some groceries on the way. The apartment kitchens habe every thing you need and although the restaurants are very kid friendly, sometimes it's nice to cook something up quick without leaving the awesome rooms.

Perfect family hotel with all that you would need to have a great time - bike hire, playgrounds and beach. Service at the hotel is great and it is full of thoughtful touches like the lack of sharp corners on the furniture in the villa, a little toy box and even a welcome gift for the kids. Will come back.

Hier gibt es Zimmer in jeder Grössenordnung inklusive Villen. Relativ grosser Hotelkomplex der ziemlich kompromisslos auf Familien mit vor allem kleinen Kindern ausgerichtet ist. Dafür absolut toll. Für alle anderen Gäste hat dies natürlich Nachteile insbesondere auch beim Speisenangebot und bei der Atmosphäre

Our third and probably last stay, as service quality gets worse after all these years. We booked a Beach House which did not really have a beach view (while other guests booked a minor category and were upgraded with a better view). We moved the next day - unfontunatly our baggage got damaged (Martinhal was willing to pay for the repair, but what about the trouble there and back home to bring it in for repair and that we could not use it for the time of repair?). In the new room, water came out of the toilet on the floor, as it was not working properly - half a day of repair and cleaning. There were more smaller things like this, where every single one would have been ok - but not all together. Used kitchenware from room service stood in front of the houses for days; the Italien restaurant is really bad (in service as well as reagrding the food). Don't get me wrong, Martinhal Sagres is a beautiful place to stay with great nature and architecture and nice guests, but it lost its balance between costs and performance - I am willing to pay good money, but I expect a better service. In the end, the service manager did not even say sorry after talking about our dissatisfaction at reception, when we left. Maybe Martinhal can affort to behave like this at the moment, but this is no basis for a sustainable future, which is really a pity, as it is such a nice place over there.

Vorab wir achten normalerweise nicht extrem auf die kosten uns ist qualität guter service gutes essen viel wichtiger mann hat ja nicht alle tage urlaub.
Hier eine ehrliche bewertung und keine fake bewertung.
Die zimmer sind schön und das personal ist freindlich das essen ist für den preis sehr schlecht als beispiel haben wir pro person 32€ für das haloween buffet bezahlt und es war nicht mehr wie mittelmäsiges kantinenessen ich komme aus der gastronomie und weiss wovon ich schreibe alles muss man in dem hotel extra bezahlen sogar die nutzung des trampolins eine kugel industrie eis 3,50€ ich habe mich nicht verschrieben 3,50€ 1 kugel billigeis ein hugo als beispiel 9€ das zahlen wir gerne in einem hotel wie das barreis zum beispiel aber nicht hier in einem möchtegern exclusiv hotel als snak an dee bar eine pommestüte mit calamares 10€ ein toast mit pommes 13€ (kalt) an jeder ecke versuchen die betreiber geld zu machen. Fazit möchte gern exclusiv mann merkt es den bedienungen verkäufern an wie sie über einen lachen weil sie denken wie blöd die touris sind und solche unsummen bezahlen aperol sprizz 10€ usw usw portugal schlnes land das hotel hier ein reinfall für den preis

We had a two bedroom ocean apartment for the 4 of us (including kids under 4).Super location.Kids club excellent.Food good but also used our own kitchen facilities and ate out of the resort a couple of times.....lots of flexibility.Great swimming pools and beautiful beach.All in all an excellent holiday and would definitely go back.

Villa and resort facilities were all top class.We have two boys (5 & 3) and they were catered for really well. Safe and fun playgrounds next to all restaurants and bar so the kids can play whilst we relax and get some adult chat.Kids clubs were great, fun activities and good facilities.The sports clubs should consider the gap between so the parent doesnt need to come back for the 15 minute interchange.Apart from that a lovely place and easy to relax as the kids are well catered for.

Lugar exclusivamente echo para el turismo inglés. Me sentí totalmente desplazada al igual que mis hijos. Siendo país vecino d España, me parece lamentable que en recepción no te hablen español, a duras penas pude entenderme con una chica en recepción a la hora del Check-out. Sólo pude dejar a mis hijos en en Mini-club un día, ya q los monitores más de lo mismo, y no había ningún niño que hablara español. Las instalaciones y el complejo están muy bien, en eso no puedo poner pegas.

We’re just back from a fabulous holiday to Martinhal, we’d heard a lot about the resort and had many recommendations but we didn’t believe it all until we arrived ourselves. It’s a tiny piece of paradise in Europe, quick and easy to get to but feels like you’ve travelled miles to get to such an amazing locations. Resort is immaculate, beautiful scenery and views , staff are so polite, friendlyAnd efficient. We were travelling with our young baby and had a beach view hotelRoom which was perfect for our little family. We did also have friends staying at one of the luxury villas and that was incredible if you wanted a special treat! Honestly can’t recommend enough. We usuallyGo to 5 star hotels via mr and mrs smith and thought we’re expecting to change now we have a baby but Martinhal manages to give parents luxury and the kids endless fun! Can’t wait to go back again!

Stayed in a villa on the resort and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great for young families. Buggy included with the villa made life a lot easier. Toys from the hotel were also really useful. Food is very nice with good variety.

The best hotel we stayed that is really kids friendly. Heated pools (indoor and outdoor), bike and scooter rental, kids club, playground, trampoline, restaurants, hotel room, T1 e T 2 apartment options fully functional for kids with kitchen, little potty, high chair, crib. You just book a room or apartment and relax with your family. Breakfast, half board or full board for extra fee available. Very convenient. We will be back for sure.

At this time i am only rating how this place is dealing with customers, i’ve booked a stay here last week, send 3 emails with questions, but have not received a single reply. Not good so far. Website has very limited information about services and the online chat is a bot asking you if you want to make a reservation. No other questions get answered. No good for a family resort.

Beware .. Lots and lots of Young children at this resort. Beautiful setting but very remote. Very nice rooms. WiFi didn’t work in our room Dinner was expensive and disappointing. We went into Selma and had very good dining on the ocean for half the price. Breakfast was good Outside of WiFi and dinner issue we enjoyed the stay

This could be a great place but has several problems.
My wife and I went with a 2 year old and a 9 month old. The restaurants cater brilliantly for kids and the creche for toddlers was really good. The staff are amazingly friendly and eager to help. However, all the paths are cobbled, giving a bone-shaking ride for attepting-to-sleep babies. Our baby kept slipping down the high chairs due to lack of support. We had ants in our kitchen which wasn't taken seriously enough by staff.
I think the place works well for toddlers but is lacking when it comes to babies. You should get what you pay for and I honestly don't think that, at the rate they charge here, you do.

War wirklich toll, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt im Martinhal. Der Service ist gut, aber bei Hochsaison stark belastet! Unsere berechtigten Beanstandungen wurden schnell und unkompliziert behoben. Mit den Restaurant Reservationen empfiehlt es sich, diese früh genug zu machen (1 besser 2 Tage im voraus). Es kann sein, dass die 3 sich auf dem Areal befindenden Restaurants z.Teil am Abend und den Wunschzeiten bereits ausgebucht sind. Essen und Bedienung waren gut! Nicht fantastisch aber nichts zu meckern. Die kleinen schätzen, dass immer wieder einmal der Clown oder Fuchs zu Gast ist und sie sich in den Spielbereichen mit diesen austoben können. Eine gelungene Anlage mit Trampoline, Bikebereich, Ruhestrand, Pools, nahegelegenes Strandrestaurant usw. Wir könnten uns vorstellen wieder einmal hinzugehen.

Ein wunderschöner Ort für einen Erholungsurlaub, mit oder ohne Kinder. Wir hatten ein tolles Zimmer direkt an der Meeresfront. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut. Eigene Flip-Flopps, sehr gutes Duschmittel und Bodylotion sowie jeden Abend noch eine kleine Überraschung als zusätzlicher Dessert.
Das Fitnessangebot und die Pools zum Schwimmen haben wir täglich in Anspruch genommen. Der Spa-Bereich mit einer schönes Sauna ist ebenfalls empfehlenswert.
Die Restaurants bieten eine gute Karte und wir haben den jeweiligen Catch of the day gewählt. Fangfischer Fisch aus der Region mit einem guten Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Das Frühstückbuffet ist ebenfalls gut und wir haben fast ausschliesslich die grosse Auswahl an frischen Früchten gewählt.
Zum Abschluss der Reise waren wir noch zwei Nächte im ebenfalls dazugehörenden „Martinhal Chiado“ in Lissabon. Die Zimmer sind ebenfalls sehr gut ausgestattet und dank der guten Isolation sehr ruhig, obwohl an zentralen Lage. Eine Parkplatzreservation ist zu empfehlen. Mitarbeitende sind durchwegs freundlich und zuvorkommend. In walking distance hat es viele tolle Geschäfte und Restaurants.

A great place for family visits we had a great time, the restaurants are very expensive so I would recommend leaving the resort and going elsewhere, the algarve is a great place for food and very cheap! There are also lots of activities in and around the martinhal area.

This was our first time visiting Portugal. The resort was easy to get to, offered parking for our rental and was beautiful. We had a really nice villa with plenty of space for our family of four, including our 16 & 17 year old teenagers.We took advantage of the sports facilities, particularly the pools. My daughter is a competitive swimmer and was able to get some decent workouts in due to the size/length of two of the pools, plus my son had some great (and challenging) runs around the resort property.When they say family resort here - they arent kidding. There were lots of small children - not so many older kids, which was kind of a bummer for my kids, but still made for a very casual environment.We sampled almost all but one of the restaurants, and tended to prefer the more casual offerings. The O Terraco restaurant had beautiful views, but I thought the food was more fancy or complex than I wouldve expected for a resort catering to young families. We did enjoy the Wolf Pop up grill (though it sold out of items early), Italian Restaurant and M Bar. Also, the market had good offerings for us to obtain breakfast items and snacks.In general, I would give this location high marks and would consider returning again, as well as recommending to others.

Perfect mix between private villa and access to hotel comforts and holiday relaxation.
Stunning villa with two balconies and sea views. Good size pool for a three bed villa and made service was effecient.
Restaurants are pleasant and had some catering for my daughter with diary and gluten intolerances (could be more choices).
It is WINDY which I loved as it was hot. But do prepare your outfits to be gutsy proof!!

Martinhal is a lovely resort....It's clean, friendly and in a beautiful location! Martinhal supplies loads of activities like paddle tennis, tennis and swimming lessons, spa treatment, fitness sessions, surfing, dolphin watching (I saw lots of bottle-nose dolphins), and kids daycare. There is also a beach, shop, swimming pools, lots of restaurants and a beautiful view of the sea. Overall a great stay!

Lo que diga se va a quedar corto. Uno de los mejores resort vacacionales familiares de Europa. Mejor ver la web, la realidad la supera aún. Arquitectura, actividades, restauración, playa-bahía, piscinas, jardines y zonas deportivas.... Todo buenísimo. Caro pero exclusivo. Casi todo británicos y alemanes.

Tolles Hotel. Sehr gepflegte Anlage. Super Appartements mit 2 Schlafzimmer und 2 bädern. Sehr windig hier, dafür nicht so heiss. Frühstück ist hochwertig, aber jeden Tag gleich. Ausserdem alles lautstark, da es ein familienhotel ist mit vielen kleinen Kindern.

Für Familien top! Haben ein Gardenhouse gebucht, super ausgestattet, sehr viel Platz. Restaurantpreise sind etwas überteuert, deshalb ein Stern Abzug. Der Strand ist sehr gut, feiner weißer Sand, flach abfallend, auch für kleinere Kinder toll geeignet. Wassertemperatur etwas kühl, ist halt Atlantik.

Leider keine Empfehlung. Bei diesen Preisen erwartet man sehr großen Komfort und guten Service. Leider ist dies nicht (mehr) der Fall. Der Service insbesondere in den Restaurants lässt stark zu Wünschen übrig und für alles Mögliche soll man extra bezahlen. Selbst für die Kinderbetreuung soll man extra bezahlen obwohl wir in einem Kinderhotel sind und schon eine Übernachten mit etwa 700 Euro zu Buche schlägt.
Hier wird man das Gefühl nicht los, an jeder Ecke als Gast ausgenommen zu werden und als Gegenleistung schlechten Service zu bekommen.
Ich empfehle dieses Hotel ausdrücklich NICHT (mehr) weiter .

Amazing resort right on the beach, with a watersports hut where you can try windsurfing, kayaking, SUP, etc. They have a very professional on-site daycare that can care for babies, so it's lovely to be able to go on vacation and have a few hours to do activities that don't allow you to bring a baby along! Onsite restaurants are also very baby-friendly, with high chairs, bibs, and baby spoons provided and a selection of gourmet purees on the menu. Room was gorgeous and spacious, with an amazing view of the ocean and Cape Sagres.

The Martinhal Sagres resort is ideal for a family vacation with young children. We came with my seven-month-old son and it was so nice to have the entire resort cater to children. Little things like every restaurant offering high chairs, bibs, baby spoons, and pureed baby food made it so much easier to manage meal times on vacation. There is tons of stroller parking at every location in the resort and a dedicated stroller ramp to get down to the pool and beach area. The room itself is very luxurious and spacious. They can provide a crib and baby bathtub, which made bathing and bedtime just as comfortable as at home. The view from the room was amazing. Also, the hotel has a daycare where you can leave your child so that the parents can enjoy various waterports (SUP, windsurfing, kayak tours) or just a quiet afternoon. Everything is very pricey, but youre paying for the quality of the service and the comfort of the accommodations.

The hotel and the grounds are fantastic. We had a 2 bed apartment with a sea view. It was really nice.They are really clean, they have everything you will need for a family. I dont know what the other rooms are like. The kids clubs have to be paid for in advance and if your kid doesnt turn up you are charged to your room. To send your kid to the kids club for a full day will cost you over 60 euro. You can send them for parts of the days for 20 euro a time. You will never need to use cash in the hotel. Everything is charged to your room. We had a few issues with this and had to get some overcharging sorted. The staff in the Italian restaurant are not nearly as good as the staff in the other 2. Food and drink is very expensive. A pizza will cost you 16 euro and a pint of the local Sagres beer will cost you 6 euro. This is a good hotel if you want to get rid of your kids for the day.

We have just returned from the most wonderful week at Martinhal Sagres Beach Resort.
Their formula is perfect...A relaxing luxury resort for the adults, coupled with everything you could possibly need for young children!
The food is very tasty with a huge variety on offer. Each restaurant is spacious, allowing for prams and high chairs and messy toddlers! The swimming pools are immaculate and luxurious and staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
We travelled with our 23 month old son and baby bump. It would take forever to mention all of the child friendly amenities and services on offer, but to mention a few...
- All baby change rooms are immaculate with mini toilets for little bottoms!
- There are dedicated staff and play areas in each restaurant to allow adults to finish eating in peace!
- High chairs and booster seats come as standard at each restaurant, as well as healthy child menu choices and mini cutlery/plastic glasses etc.
- Use of substantial buggies for a refundable deposit save you bringing your own!
- A gift bag with beach ball and hat for each child on arrival and a little toy box on wheels in the accommodation to keep all of your child's belongings in one place.
- There are clean and tidy play areas, including a main area with a bouncy castle and trampolines and play houses (not tacky!).
- Daily visits to breakfast and at dinner time from the resort mascot went down a treat with the kids (not tacky)!
- A beautiful view from breakfast highlights the short walk to the beach.
- Daily complimentary sessions, e.g. swimming lessons, for the kids.
Etc etc etc!!!
The overall atmosphere in the resort is incredibly calm and relaxing despite the number of young children present. We felt that we had chosen a place with likeminded parents who wanted a relaxing 5 star holiday and a place to give their kids a fun week. Our son had the time of his life!
We have recommended this place to everyone with young children and will definitely return when child number 2 comes along!
NB - I was one of many pregnant women in the resort and it is worth bearing in mind that whilst all accommodation is within a short walk from the resort amenities (maximum 10 minutes waddle!), the paths are a little hilly at times.

Tem uma localização previligiada em zona elevada com vista para o cabo de Sagres e a praia que fica entre as falésias. É muito fácil de encontrar o Martinhal pois tem anúncios e placas com a indicação de onde fica junto à estrada entre Vila do Bispo e Sagres. Tem muitas moradias luxuosas, neste local dão muita importância às crianças e bebés. Tem creche, circuito para karting a pedal, vários parques para crianças, tem supermercado próximo da recepção a cerca de 50 metros. É um resort ideal para quem gosta de estar perto da praia, natureza, fazer caminhadas, birdwatching, andar de bicicleta, fazer desportos aquáticos como snorkling e surf.

Absolutely incredible place - staff are so hospitable and friendly. There is a beach right there which although its public, is pretty much only used by guests of the hotel.

Family friendly beach resort with all the amenities and facilities you could wish for. Pools restaurants, kids club, gym, spa, soccer, tennis, cycling, and water sports and lessons. The ocean view house is absolutely gorgeous with plenty of room for a family of 5. They provide everything for baby, so don't bring anything. They even have baby good freshly prepared for every stage of first foods. We will definitely visit again.

The staff at the reception is unfriendly and lazy, the others however are very nice, friendly and service orientated. The hotel is very nice, good food, great view and situated in a remote but nice location. Everything you do or eat costs extra and these prices are very high - in the end it leaves a feeling of getting ripped off a bit.

Our second time at Martinhal Sagres and it's still as amazing. The facilities are excellent and completely tailored for families. There's a good selection of restaurants on site, and so many free activities for children like a bouncy castle and playgrounds. The accommodation is of very high quality and set on top of cliffs overlooking the bay. The customer service is faultless and everyone goes out of their way to ensure that the children are happy, so the adults have a great holiday too. It's not cheap, but it's definitely worth it.

Positives: Resorts location and view of the ocean from the room
Negatives: We had multiple issues with our stay. The rooms have ants in them and although they tries to clean them, you'll see them everywhere, even in the bed.
Kids corner at restaurants are just a loose play area. We left our son there and after 10 min realized he had ran away and no one noticed. Thank goodness we found him. The hotel's response to our complaint was you need to get a baby sitter if you want your child to be looked after. This is a service many hotels offer and it defeats the point of staying at this place.
The food in the hotel is overpriced considering how mediocre the dishes are. Both in taste and presentation.
We would not go back unfortunately. The experience did not make us feel special or supported.

Eine schöne Hotelanlage und sehr kinderfreundlich.Unser Haus war sehr schön und großzügig, die Mitarbeiter sehr zuvor kommend freundlich und haben sich direkt bei Anfragen gekümmert. Es ist aber wirklich ein Kinderhotel und das sollte man wollen, viel Lärm auch in den Restaurants. Die Qualität des Essen Essens in den Restaurants hat uns enttäuscht. Kinderdisco etc. alles nur gegen extra Bezahlung, dies sollte aus unserer Sicht bei diesem Preis enthalten sein. Die Reinigung der Villa während unseres Aufenthalts hat sich auf Handtücher aufhängen/wechseln und Betten machen beschränkt, es wurde leider nicht richtig gereinigt.

Chi da 5 stelle a questo resort non ha avuto altre esperienze in strutture simili.
Il cibo è di media qualità ed il servizio è sempre molto lento perché tutto il personale è junior.
Se non si sta in villa le camere sono piccole senza particolari accorgimenti per i bambini e nessuna intimità per i genitori.
Si paga tutto molto caro per una qualità scadente del cibo tant'è che abbiamo iniziato a cenare sempre fuori.
Spesso bisogna chiedere più volte le cose perché il personale si dimentica.
La location merita come la piscina e la spiaggia.
Ci sono molti altri posti ben più validi.

Ich verstehe die Bewertungen nicht.
Für mich ist das kein echter 5 Sterne Resort, wenn man mit griechischen oder spanischen vergleicht.
-Alte fleckige Möbel auf den Zimmern,
- Service sehr sehr langsam,
- man muss zwei mal bestellen, weil Bedienung gerne vergisst.
- auf einen Shuttle Bus musste man 15 Minuten warten,
- Kellner räumen nicht das Geschirr ab, obwohl es zu sehen ist, dass der Tisch voll davon ist.
- Unfreundliche Mienen überall. (Unterbesetzt oder unterbezahlt?)
- WLAN kommt und geht!!!
-der Pool wurde gestern am Nachmittag sauber gemacht, so dass alle raus mussten!
- Das Essen ist mittelmäßig angesichts der Preise und des 5-Sterne- Anspruchs- wie kann man so einen billigen schlechten Schinken auf dem Frühstücksbüffet stehen lassen, wenn 5 Minuten Autofahrt ein viel besserer im lokalen Supermarkt zu kaufen ist?
- Vieles ist extra zu zahlen.
- Bezüge für die fleckigen Matratzen in den Kojen draußen wurden erst am dritten Tag unseren Aufenthaltes aufgezogen.
- eine super HiFi Anlage von Bose im Zimmer aber kein blootooth Anschluss. Also nicht nutzbar. Willkommen in 21. Jahrhundert!??
***Angebot für Kinder: ein Pantomime spieler war gestern im Dorf und hat Ballons für Kinder gemacht. Er hat ein Mädchen angepampt, weil es einen zweiten Ballon haben wollte. Wo gibt es denn so etwas? Er war außerdem unfreundlich.
Während des Abendessens ist immer eine Person für die Kinder zuständig. Aber sie machen sehr wenig bis nichts.
Aber am meisten nervt es, dass die Bedienung so lahm ist. In Griechenland oder Spanien ist das Serviceniveau viel anspruchsvoller. (Gerade ist eine Kellnerin an mir vorbei und hat den Tisch nicht abgeräumt!)

Die exklusive Lage an dem für Kinder sehr gut geeigneten Sandstrand komplettiert den Gesamteindruck des Hotels. Mitarbeiter durchweg kinderfreundlich. Wir kommen sicher wieder und am besten gleich doppelt so lang :-)

Strandurlaub mit vielen Möglichkeiten sportlicher Betätigung und Kinderprogramm bzw. Möglichkeiten für Kinder sich zu betätigen. Waren schon zum 2.ten mal dort. Im Vergleich zum ersten Mal war ein Qualitätsabfall in den Restaurants bemerkbar. Das dürfte wahrscheinlich daran liegen, dass wir am Ende der Saison dort waren.

This property and staff are wonderful! This was our second stay (2 years later) and we were thrilled to have a vacation where our children could be entertained in a safe organized environment and we could get a little break too!The kids clubs are amazing and though our kids felt a bit older this time ( ages 6 , 7), they loved the facilities and having some freedom from us.Restaurants (especially the seafood) are excellent quality and all have great kid options that are healthy. Our ocean house was a perfect size and outfitted with just the right amount of kitchen gadgets needed for breakfast and some lunches in. Mercado onsite is well priced and has a decent selection. It is quite slow for coffee service though. There is a supermarket not far if you want other options.Overall wonderful stay. If you want to travel with small children--under 6--I couldnt recommend any place more than Martinhal. They have such wonderful amenities for young families in the villas, kids clubs, and restaurants.

1 Woche lang haben wir von Martinhal aus Ausflüge in den Algarven unternommen. In Martinhal mieteten wir ein Luxury House (keine Villa) mit Meersicht. 3-4 Personen bietet das Haus grosszügig Platz, ist modern und in Schweizer Qualität gebaut und auch für Familien sehr gut ausgerüstet (haben selbst 3 Kinder) und bietet eine schöne Aussicht auf das Meer mit Bucht, Insel und kleinem Hafen von Sagres. Sehr freundliches Personal, manchmal fast zu befliessen den Gästewünschen nachzukommen (Vorsaison?).

Das Resort ist sehr schön angelegt mit verschiedenen Pools, Saunen, etc. und sehr geräumigen Apartments, die sich besonders für Familien eignen. Die Lage direkt am Strand und angrenzend an das Naturschutzgebiet ist wunderbar. Da es kaum Animation gibt, gibt es für den Urlauber auch kaum Ablenkung von sich selbst. Entspannung pur.

Fitness oder Wellness für die Eltern & die Kids vergnügen sich in einem der fünf beheizten Pools oder geniessen das Angebot im Kids Club nach Alter abgestuft. Vor Ort befinden sich mehrere Restaurants oder nach einem Ausflugtag geht man im kl Supermarkt schnell etwas einkaufen und kocht zu Hause.

My family and I went to the Martinhal in May and couldn't have had a better experience. We have two children who are 2 and 4 and we have never had such a relaxing time with them on holiday. We stayed in one of the immaculately thought out beach houses - which come equipped with everything you could possibly need for small children- stair gates, cots, sterilisers and made good use of the resorts super market for preparing picnics for the children to take to the beach every day. The resort has everything you would want for children of all ages and nothing is too much trouble for the staff there who are always at hand to make your experience more enjoyable. We had dinner most nights in their beach restaurant which serves delicious food, and there was someone at hand to do colouring in and lego with the kids in between courses, so we were able to have some adult conversation. Our experience was summed up by my little boy who turned round to me on the third day and said "I love this place mummy, I love everything, can we come again every holiday".

Paradise for children and parents alike!
Our second stay in Martinhal exceeded our high expectations that had been set during our first stay a year earlier. We are a family with one child and enjoyed our 2-weeks stay in an Ocean House thoroughly. The Resort offers all you need for a relaxing vacation, the accomodation is perfectly equipped, and the many playgrounds offer various attractions for the kids of different ages. In the restaurants, the kids are well taken care of by dedicated children supervision staff - meaning that the parents can enjoy their meals quietly and sit back, enjoying wonderful ocean views and the great atmosphere in Martinhal.

My partner and I went to Martinhal for a short break in April and stayed in the hotel with a full sea view. This was without doubt the finest holiday we have ever been on. The staff were outstanding, the venue was luxurious and the surrounding area was breathtaking.
Never would I have believed I could feel so relaxed, especially during a period where UK was on easter break and there were families all around us.
I cannot say enough about all the staff and how wonderful they made our stay. With the hotel and surroundings being so beautiful, it would be easy for the staff to just expect repeat business, but I have never been to a resort where the staff have been so helpful, friendly, but most importantly genuine.
I cannot wait to go back again and again. Pure heaven on earth.

Our stay at the resort was fantastic. The ocean house was spacious, stylish, comfortable, and full of amenities. We stayed in a house that overlooked the beach and bay, which had a magnificent view. We were there for a two week period and were never at a loss for things to do at the resort or in the surrounding area. The staff is highly professional, extremely courteous, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The restaurants within the resort are superb, and the bars/lounges are charming and inviting. The beach, islands, and scenery in this part of the country are beautiful. The bay is a natural park and is situated in a very historic part of Portugal with a long and unique maritime past. Very close to the resort we visited the Fortress at Sagres, which has an intriguing history and astounding views. Also nearby are a number of quaint villages with fascinating churches, excellent local cuisine, cultural sites, and very friendly people. This is an extraordinary place to visit, and we highly recommend it!

A truly unique place, with inspiring views and a calming energy about it. Has a friendly feel everywhere you go, and staff are pleasant and helpful while respecting your space. Kids look happy, parents look relaxed.
There are different 'spaces' to hang out in, so there's enough variety to be able to stay there for a good length of time - there's the beach, a few restaurants on the resort itself, village square/kids' club, 3 different pools, tennis courts, the spa. At the same time, the resort is easily walkable, so it doesn't feel massive and impersonal.
I also like that the buildings don't all look the same, so it doesn't feel homogenous. And they've paid attention to using warm materials and beautiful landscaping.

Martinhal ist eine echte Perle, wir waren nun schon mehrfach dort und haben uns immer wohlgefühlt. Gerade für Familien mit kleineren und größeren Kindern ist es ein echtes Paradies. Ich kenne sonst kaum ein 5-Sterne-Hotel, wo so viel für die Kleinen gemacht wird und es ganz selbstverständlich ist, dass sie überall dabei sind. Zum Team hat sich über die Jahre schon ein sehr freundschaftliches Verhältnis entwickelt. Ich empfehle auch immer allen aus unserem Bekanntenkreis Martinhal und die Westalgarve. Das ist einfach etwas Besonderes.

We keep going back to Marthinal over and over again.
Very few places in the world has it's magic and charm. We end up spending most of the time in the resort and down at the beach.
Whenever we do manage to venture out to visit the other gorgeous beaches around we remember again why Sagres is Europe's surfer's paradise.

We liked the place very much. Location, architecture and service at a perfekt level. Not exactly a budget type of location you must be aware of extra cost for the restarants etc. Will we come back? Yes!

Martinhal is a uniquely beautiful place - in the middle of a natural park, it is elegantly designed in a way that respects its setting. The hospitality is very genuine. The resort is carefully thought to be family friendly (with many activities for kids - e.g. a kid's club) but was also delightful to visit as a couple (many memorable evenings looking at ocean sunsets over drinks from a James-Bond-like terrace). This is luxury at its best - pampering without any pretentiousness.

Wenn man schlechten Schlaf hat nicht im Hoteltraktbuchen! Weil übern Zimmmer ist das Restaurant undman hört morgens ab 5:30 jeden Schritt !Das man für fast alle Sportaktivitäten extra bezahlen muss ist bei den Zimmerpreisen nicht Verständlich:Das Frühstück ist nicht der Hit. Sogar in guten 3 Sterne Restaurants wir schon fast das gleich geboten. Der beheizte Pool war wirklich schön !Wenn man aber keine Kinder hat und seine Ruhe braucht ist man auf seiner Terasse mit schönen Meerblick besser aufgehoben !Die Pizzeria in der Anlage geht überhaupt nicht!15 Euro für eine Pizza die nicht schmeckt ist happig !

Ein tolles Hotel, ruhig gelegen zwischen Nationalpark und Strand mit tollen Angeboten (Pools, verschiedenen Restaurants, Sport), super für Familien mit Kindern, alle sehr kinderfreundlich. Alles sehr sauber, freundliches hilfsbereites Personal, gutes Essen!Preis/Leistung top!
