Great Hotel, it is not far from the center of the city. Very lovely staff. The room was well done with big and clean bathroom. The breakfast was pretty good with various dishes. We had to checkout very early in the morning before breakfast starts. So, they prepared everything from calling the taxi, prepared the breakfast in boxes for us and printed the tickets. I would recommend this hotel easily.

Ficamos eu e minha mulher entre 27/11 a 27/12 de 2018, 30 dias e achamos o hotel muito bom custo/beneficio, com metrô e centro perto e bons restaurantes na região, poucas coisas a reclamar como falta de máquina de café e chá no quarto, casa de banho inunda após o banho, pequeno almoço bom mas com café de máquina solúvel ruim e poucas qualidades de queijos sendo o restante fa comida boa. Restaurante muito caro mas fomos à uma cantina próxima muito boa e barata. Quarto bom e limpo mas com vista ruim pois era para os fundos e andar baixo. Recomendo e voltaria mas escolheria quarto mais alto e com melhor vista. Recepçionistas excelentes e simpáticos.

Lovely hotel, clean and nicely decorated. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very convenient for the Metro, which is a cheap and easy way to get around the city. Breakfast was lovely, a good selection of cooked and continental. The only down side is no mini bar, the fridge didn't work, no coffee machine and no other tea or coffee making facilities.

Con media pensión, decepcionante la cena
Lo que menos nos gusto y que podría mejorar:
-A la llegado no nos informaron de nada del hotel ni como llegar a la habitación ni horarios de la media pensión ni como funcionaba la comida si era buffet o no, ya que al ver que el restaurante estaba en la misma recepción casi y pensábamos que como en todos los hoteles o la gran mayoría seria así
-Variedad del buffet desayuno
-Cena muy muy pobre, es a la carta con posibilidad de elegir 1 de 3 entrantes, 1 de 4 primeros platos y 1 de 2 pastas, 3 carnes o 3 pescados.
-Cantidad de las comidas en la cenas de risa.. teníamos que tirar de supermercados para comer de verdad ya que salíamos por la mañana temprano a recorrer y llegábamos sobre las 7-8 de la noche
-En la habitación no funcionaba el Aire acondicionado y se salía el agua de la ducha mojando el piso
Por lo general si buscas un hotel en buena zona es un recomendación pero no cojas media pensión, no sale rentable y pasaras hambre si como nosotros estas todo el día moviendo el culete.

Quarto triplo muito espaçoso no entanto penso que há melhoramentos a fazer tratando-se de um hotel de 4*. O minibar totalmente vazio. Na casa de banho depois do duche o chão fica alagado. A água do duche é morna nada agradável no inverno. Tem garagem com elevador o que se trata de muito prático por 10€

Hotel staff were very friendly. Breakfast buffet in the morning was something to look forward to. Room was clean and tidy with all the mod cons such as hairdryer, safe etc. Also it is a very short walking distance to Anjos Metro subway station to get around the city.

Lhôtel est agréable au niveau de la déco au gout du jour, épurée et du personnel très souriant, jeune, serviable. Cependant, notre chambre était située coté rue et était très bruyante (avec les sirènes car hôpital à proximité, gens bruyants dans la rue ...). La fenêtre ne semblait pas avoir de double vitrage. De plus, nous entendions les clients de la chambre voisine prendre leur douche. La chambre de nos enfants donnait sur une cour (pas très jolie). Le mur contre le lit vibrait de temps en temps à cause dune porte à lextérieur de la chambre qui claquait régulièrement en journée. Nous navons pas eu loffre des 15% sur la restauration en intégralité (pas sur le room service et pas sur le repas de Noël, alors quaucune restriction nétait signalée). dommage !Hôtel proche du métro et donc à proximité des centres dintérêts de la ville.

Esta en un lugar céntrico. No se merece las cuatro estrellas. El desayuno está bien. No os aconsejo coger con comida. Es muy pobre y poca variedad. Los camareros muy despistados. Sólo el último día uno de ellos tuvo detalle de darme un suplemento ya q no comí el segundo plato ya q estaba frío y sin hacer bien el bacalao. Los cuartos pequeños, aunque la cama muy cómoda. Vistas muy feas.

Nagyszerű helyen található, tömegközlekedéssel is könnyen megközelíthető. A szoba modern, egyszerű, de komfortos, tiszta. A zuhanyzó+wc tágas, tiszta.
A személyzet kedves, segítőkész, bár vacsorázni nem volt alkalmunk, mert nem volt szabad asztal. A reggeli jó, mindenki megtalálja a nekivalót.
Néhány napos tartózkodásra, "bázis"-nak használva tökéletes.

Zimmer sind ziemlich klein. Das Personal sehr nett. Die Reinigung der Zimmer etwas unorganisiert. Das Bad mit dem Lamellenvorhang hinter der Scheibe als Abtrennung zum Zimmer sieht cool aus, ist aber gewöhnungsbedürftig, da man vom Bett aus alles beobachten kann, was auf der Toilette und in der Dusche passiert. Der Ausblick zur Straße auch nicht wirklich schön. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ausreichend.

Wir haben zuletzt eine Woche in diesem Hotel verbracht. Die Anbindung an den öffentlichen Nahverkehr ist sehr gut und auch zu Fuß erreicht man die Innenstadt innerhalb von ca. 20min. Nach wenigen Gehminuten von der Metro, erreicht man die modern gestaltete Lobby und wird nett empfangen. Auch unser Zimmer machte auf den ersten Blick einen guten Eindruck. Bei genauerem Hinsehen fällt aber auf, dass das Zimmer eine Überholung bräuchte und schon etwas verwohnt wirkt. Die Tapete ist vor allem im Eingangsbereich deutlich mitgenommen, die Wand zur Dusche hat einen deutlichen Wasserschaden erlitten und der Sichtschott von der Dusche zum Schlafbereich ließ sich nicht mehr öffnen. Zudem gab es nur eine leere Minibar und weder Kaffeemaschine noch Wasserkocher. Die Fenster sind leider gegen den Straßenlärm eher schlecht isoliert, aber in der Nacht ist es auf einem erträglichen Niveau. Dank der sehr guten Sauberkeit, dem täglichen Zimmerservice mit neuen Handtüchern etc., des sehr bequemen Betts und der guten Lage waren alles keine gravierenden Mängel, wenn auch unschön.Abzüge gibt es hingegen noch beim Frühstück, was zwar vergleichsweise günstig war, aber aufgrund der Auswahl (insbesondere beim Aufschnitt) doch eher nur für einen Aufenthalt von 1-2 Tagen gedacht ist und nicht für eine ganze Woche. Der Kaffee aus der Nescafe-Maschine ist vor allem für portugiesische Verhältnisse miserabel. Da bekommt man selbst im Einkaufscenter besseren Kaffee. Einzig das Gebäck war ausgezeichnet.

Très mal insonorisé, vraiment insupportable.
On nous a donné la chambre la plus mauvaise qu’il puisse y avoir.
Pour 167€ super , prix au départ, on n’y croit pas maintenant, les prix ont dû être évalués à la hausse.
Trop de poussière, même pas une capsule de café, ou thé , c’est bien la première fois que nous voyons ça .
Nous avons l’habitude de voyager, même dans les deux voir 3 * c’est pas comme
ça , les professionnels même pas un sourire.
Aucune information, sur internet le petit déjeuner, rien .
On ne recommande absolument pas .
La rue est plein SDF, pas du tout proche du centre comme indiqué.

Superschönes Stadthotel, mit netten Zimmern und Top Verkehrsanbindung, Metrostation nur wenige Meter entfernt.Wlan zuverlässig und Frühstück voll ausreichend. Besonders zu erwähnen das Personal an der Reception und beim Frühstück sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Jederzeit wieder wenn ich in Lissabon bin!

Questo hotel mi ha sorpreso molto. La posizione per chi viaggia con i mezzi è eccellente avendo la metro a poco più di cento metro, uguale per l'autobus. Le camere sono belle, non eccezionali. Sono molto comodi i bagni e la rete wifi è veloce. La colazione a dieci euro al giorno (in due) è a buffet. Ti prendi tutto ciò che vuoi dolce o salato. Tutto fresco fatto lì, ci sono pure i dolci tipici. La reception è sempre aperta con personale accogliente. Consiglio vivamente questo hotel.

He estado tres días y he disfrutado mucho de mi instancia. La calidad buenísima tanto de la habitación en sí como de el restaurante y el servicio de desayuno inmejorable. Todo cuidado al detalle y preciosa la decoración también en ambos sitios. A destacar el servicio de habitaciones si pides algún snack merecen la pena, sobre todo el sandwich club. Creo que ha sido mi mejor elección allí en Lisboa

Стильный, красивый номер. Большая кровать, много светильников, холодильник, телевизор (есть русский канал), кофемашина, но капсулы к ней надо покупать. Огромная ванная комната. Неплохой завтрак. Чисто, тихо, тепло. Метро рядом.
Очень странно устроен душ, невозможно помыться и не залить пол. Светильники выключаются очень неудобно.
Улетала рано, попросила и мне приготовили ланчбокс. Спросили, как я поеду в аэропорт-ответила на метро, было 6 часов утра. И никто на рецепшен не сказал, что метро работает с 6.30. Конечно, сама должна была узнать заранее, но пришлось поволноваться.

Todo bien, me gustó mucho, lo malo las vistas de la habitación, pero no se puede culpar al hotel de que los vecinos no cuiden sus edificios. El restaurante y los dos camareros que nos atendieron en las cenas muy bien. El menú de noche buena algo flojo, pero el resto de días perfecta la cocina y el servicio. Je recommande cet hôtel. Les chambres sont très confortable avec une superbe salle d'eau. Le petit déjeuner est complet et très varié. Le personnel professionnel et à l'écoute. Une petite salle de sport en sous sol est disponible. Il y a une station de métro à moins de 2mn qui ns dépose en centre ville en 5mn.

Ein sehr ordentliches und zentral gelegenes Hotel.
Wir hatten ein Zimmer nach hinten welches Nachts sehr leise und angenehm war. Das Frühstück bietet alles was man benötigt ,ist aber kein kulinarisches Highlight. Hier könnten ein paar regionale Produkte Abhilfe schaffen. Besonders freundlich fanden wir das Personal an der Rezeption.

Uma unidade hoteleira funcional e bem trabalhada. Os preços praticados não são excessivos e o serviço eficiente.
Os quartos são agradáveis e confortáveis, o bom gosto impera e a decoração é simples mas de bom gosto.
O restaurante sofisticado q.b. é ligeiramente dispendioso nas refeições e principalmente nas bebidas, o pequeno almoço estava incluído no preço e é bastante variado.
O staff foi de uma simpatia cativante.

Hotel cerca del centro buena opcion para los que están de paso por la ciudad por cuestiones de trabajo o negocio pero no es un hotel familiar ni para ir en pareja.El personal es muy atento y amable, las habitaciones son cómodas y el desayuno es variado. Si estás de paso por Lisboa quizás pueda ser una buena opcion para ti.

Magnifique Hôtel 4 étoiles. Personnel sympathique, professionnel, au petit soin et efficace. La chambre confortable, bien équipée avec salle de bain originale. Petit-déjeuner copieux, varié et excellent. Le restaurant propose des plats succulents, copieux, très bien présentés et le coût est vraiment abordable. Bien placé avec le Métro très proche pour s'aventurer dans la ville... Merci à tous pour ce beau séjour...

We stayed in this hotel as a group of 3 for 4 nights. The hotel is very stylish and modern as you walk in. The staff are very welcoming and will go above and beyond to help you even with the smallest query. Our room was on the 7th floor at the back of the hotel so no noise. It was very spacious and clean. Just one small suggestion, a mirror at the dressing table would be useful. Also the air con seemed to be on throughout the night which made the early mornings very cold. Otherwise great location, with the nearest Metro station approximately 3-4 mins walk away. Plenty of restaurants nearby and very close to the airport. I would stay here again.

Atendimento é bom, a recepcionista foi muito educada e solícita. O quarto era confortável, porém o banheiro não era nada bom pois o box do chuveiro não retia a água e transbordava pra fora do box toda vez e molhava o chão do banheiro inteiro toda vez que tomava banho.

Hôtel bien situé, mais quartier pas très accueillant, accès au parking via un ascenseur à voiture assez exigu et difficile pour les manœuvres.

Very kind staff and the hotel is modern and clean. It is not in the city centre but within 10 mins by metro (the station is very near too). The hotel itself is great but maybe not the nicest neighborhood (except for the hotel, old building around with some homeless in the streets), but it wasn't dangerous and still populated at night times.

Je viens de passer neuf jours dans cet hôtel. Je vous le recommande vivement, le personnel est super-sympa à l'écoute et présent à tous les moments pour régler les problèmes.Niveau hygiène je n'ai rien à reprocher très bien.Le service petit-déjeuner impeccable.L'hôtel et bien situé le métro et l'arrêt de bus sont à 4 minutes de marche.Seul bémol et que si vous y allez pour aller à la plage vous avez 1h de transport en commun ce qui peut être embêtant, vous avez toujours l'option du taxi qui prend 30 minutes.

Hôtel propre, personnel agréable, malgré que à la réception ils ne parlent pas français. On nous a vendu l'hôtel avec piscine, mais celle ci est inexistante, dans les chambres une cafetière mais pas de dosettes à disposition tout comme le mini bar qui est vide, en plus les cotton démaquillant et les cotton tiges ne sont pas remis tout les jours bien dommage pour un soit disant 4 étoiles !!!!. Nous avions pris demi pension, petit déjeuner très bien, varié et bon, mais pour le souper pas beaucoup de choix, nous sommes restés 5 jours et toujours les mêmes proposition et en plus pas toujours très bon. Nous n'étions pas côté rue, donc pour nous très bien insonorisées.

Das Frühstück - leider nur bis 10 Uhr - ist im üblichen Rahmen und für mich von der Auswahl mehr als ausreichend. Die Lage ist genau mittig zwischen Flughafen und Altstadt und somit ideal für Erkundung der Stadt zu Fuß oder aber Besichtigung der Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region per Auto. Für Letzteres gab es eine Tiefgarage mit Fahrstuhl.

It was nice and central with easy access to the metro as well as the centre of town. They had a wonderful front desk service and great food. I found it odd that you had to ask for and pay for tea, coffee and milk for your room at the front desk. That is something they could change.

Some staff members were really nice, friendly and helpful, while others did lack information asked. The hotel had separate gluten-free rolls, croissant, muffin for me, probably the best I was ever served in a hotel. 5 stars for that.The hotel was conveniently located, pretty close to a metro station. The hotel had a nice design, I liked it a lot. The only thing I didnt like about the room was the bathroom door, which was a glass door, so it wasnt a properly closing door separating two rooms. Still a great hotel, we had a nice stay.

No vale un 4 estrellas !, habitación correcta pero no funcionaba la caja fuerte ni después del arreglo de mantenimiento, el minibar esta vacillo y por colmar todo, se presentaron clientes queriendo entrar en nuestra habitación a las 6h30 de la mañana y ni siquiera una disculpa por parte del personal !! Desayuno correcto y variado pero el café muy malo. Un consejo llevar cápsulas de Nespresso hay una maquina en la habitación.

Ottimo hotel. Ben posizionato, si raggiunge il centro facilmente in quanto la fermata della metro è a tre minuti ma volendo con quindici minuti si raggiunge il centro a piedi. Il personale è composto da ragazzi molto educati, gentili e disponibili all'ascolto. Le stanze sono moderne luminose pulitissime comode e silenziose. La prima colazione è estremamente variata e buonissima. Consigliatissimo.

Tres bon accueil. Endroit très chaleureux.
Personnel très sérieux et disponible. Ils répondent facilement a vos questions en s'adaptant à notre langue. Vous proposent de vous appeler un taxi a votre départ. Vous demandent régulièrement si vous ne manquez de rien.
Chambres propres. Draps sont changés tous les jours. Idem pour les serviettes.
Le restaurant de l'hôtel est top avec un service très agréable. Nous avons très bien mangé avec un prix plus que correct compte tenu de la qualité !
Pour ce qui est du petit déjeuner. Il y a de tout et pour tous les goûts.

Les chambres disposent d'une clim chaud froid.

Je ne recommanderai pas cet hotel.
Pour commencer on n'est clairement pas dans les prestations d'un 4*. On est au niveau d'un 3*.
Les photos hallechantes sur Booking sont sans doute d'une autre époque. L'hôtel a très très mal vieillit (moquette tachée,plein de fentes dans le marbre de la salle de bain, meuble de salle de bain piqué par l'humidité...). La robinetterie de la douche fuyait. Le lit est de très mauvaise qualité, on peut sentir les ressorts.
La climatisation/chauffage de la chambre fonctionne très mal et fait énormément de bruit.
Chambre étroite avec peu de rangement ce qui difficulte les mouvements dans la chambre à deux, avec vue sur des "favelas"...
Le seul point positif est la localisation de l'hotel. Il est proche du centre ville (2/3 arrêt de metro) et l'hôtel est à 5 min à pied du métro. Cependant le quartier n'est pas top de nuit trafic de drogue et SDF virulent qui n'hésitent pas à vous suivre (d'où la présence de policier dans la rue et d'un vigile dans le hall de l'hôtel même assez tôt dans la soirée)
De plus peu de temps après la réservation l'hotel nous a annoncé des travaux jusqu'au 12/02 au niveau 0. En date du 18/02 l'hôtel est toujours en travaux.
Résultats petit déjeuner au -1 dans une salle peu accueillante. Niveau petit déjeuner c'est très médiocre. C'est même mieux à l'ibis. Ici pas de produits locaux. Jus d'orange industriel. Supplément de 2€ pour l'expresso (sommes nous dans un 4 étoiles ?). Choix de produit très limité. Le personnel en salle est à la ramasse. Les tables ne sont pas débarrassées ni dressées. Et ça nous l'avons constaté pendant notre séjour de 8jours.lorsqu'on arrive on doit aller prendre ce qu'il manque sur notre table sur les autres tables à moitié dressées.

Mooi verzorgd hotel. Met de taxi een klein kwartier van het historische centrum en de uitgaansbuurt, enkele rit €6-7. De kamers variëren in grootte, de lengte van de bedden is naar de kleine kant (ik ben 1m86). Het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid.

Hotel ubicado en el centro de Lisboa... Tienes para de metro, bus y tranvía a unos 5 min a pie. El hotel está muy bien, la comida aunque el menú para cenar es siempre el mismo exquisita y el personal es muy atento y agradable. El único problema es que esta en la avenida principal y cerca tienes una comisaría y hospital y a cada rato (no importa la hora) pasa tanto policía como ambulancia con las sirenas encendidas y es imposible conciliar el sueño.

El hotel esta bien. La situacion del mismo no es la mejor, pero bien conectado. Desde el aeropuerto es facil llegar en metro y al centro tambien. Andando al centro un poco lejos y por un barrio medio/bajo. El personal del hotel excelente muy amables y atentos. Las habitaciones necesitarian un repaso estan bien pero tronadas. Segun como te duches se sale el agua. La limpieza de la habitacion mejorable.

On November 6, 2017 I had just . The started my vacation and experienced a tear in my tendons that made walking impossible. I was able to get a room at the Czar Lisbon for four nights until I could get a flight back to Canada. The hotel was beyond wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable, the restaurant was good with a very accommodating chef (they modified meals if requested) and they even had lovely entertainment in the lounge on Wednesday evening. The best thing about the hotel was the amazing, kind, helpful, cheerful and wonderful staff. I could not have been in a better place to experience such a miserable end to my vacation. They are all fabulous and I would recommend the property to anyone travelling to Lisbon.

***Avoid!*** Not a nice location. Very nasty breakfast. Didn't even go down for after the first day. Loud drilling woke us up early in the morning. Went out for the whole day and the room didn't get made. Rang lobby to ask what could be done. Absolutely nothing. The next day they came early in the morning but we were checking out. Room didn't look like the picture as the carpet looked cheap like one you find in an office not like it did on the website. Explained all this to reception in the hope they would at least waiver my parking. Nope. Just for the record I never normally write reviews let alone bad ones but this place was just terrible.

En mi opinion no se merece las 4 estrellas, El trato del personal es bueno, la habitacion no esta mal pero la limpieza deja mucho que desear asi como las almohadas de la cama. El bufet del desayuno muy normalito, tambien para tomarte una copa antes de dormir tienen muy poca variedad de alcohol y muy caro. El parking es de ascensor y pequeñito.

Convenient location as; metro, bus stop, tram stop, currency, supermarket, snack bars are all short walk away. If you fancy a decent long walk to city centre this is perfect as you can pass through a variety of areas and discover some amazing places in return. Hotel itself has all the immediate facilities such as parking (10EUR p/n), bar and restaurant. Though I would stay at Hotel again, I wouldn't however go for either half or full board - bed and breakfast is enough as menu choose for the HB or FB is not really good and very limiting. Plus you don't want to feel obliged to come back to Hotel for dinner or lunch for such a poor menu choice and would rather feel content eating some great food outside. Hotel has luggage storage facility which is great and staff can advise on local excursions, vehicle hire as well as taxi bookings. Staff are very friendly and rooms are cleaned everyday - although one thing I found very annoying is that if we were to take items in our rooms from breakfast or dinner such as bowl of fruit, jelly, dessert or hot beverage, the plates and crockery would continue to remain in your bedroom. TV choice is okay nothing great but we never watched TV. Though the bathroom was great, and we had a walk in rainfall shower, the shower itself kept overflowing and it was clear that it's maintenance was poor. So I had to remove the top circular lid and ensure the water is drained faster so that you are not standing in your own dirty water. I'm giving it a 3 star because I feel a little let down for a 4 star hotel, i feel like most things are there and offered as part of service just for the sake of having a 4 star status and nothing else. The hotel needs some work on improvement, but in terms of the quality of the staff - all were very friendly, approachable and helpful. Though some may argue that Czar is in central Lisbon and you can't compare it to a resort with a 4 star rating who have a spa, pool and gym facilities with free parking (like we did in Sintra region) but I still feel that a 4 star rating is a 4 star rating, regardless of being in the City or outskirts. New hotel, big rooms, comfortable. Location was close but not in downtown (baixa) and close to a famous seafood restaurant, however the immediate surrounding area was not the nicest.

Our stay at the Czar was very disappointing from the start. The internet pictures give you the impression that youre staying in a luxurious hotel in the heart of Lisbon which is incorrect. The hotel is in sad shape, carpets old and dirty and the rooms are very poor kept. Breakfast is a pity and even the coffee is cold and tasteless. The staff is rude and rarely can you find an employee to get something as simple as a roll of toilet paper. Unfortunately, because of the conditions, we chose to move to another hotel despite the fact I forfeited quite a bit of money. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nah am Zentrum und gut mit der Metro zu erreichen. Modern eingerichtet. Freundliches Personal. Verkehr von der Stasse sehr laut wenn das Fenster geöffnet ist. Temperatur nachts nur mit laufender Klimaanlage erträglich. WLAN funktioniert sehr gut. Keine deutschen TV Sender.

A simpatia dos colaboradores desta entidade é soberba.
A destacar o snr Telmo, recepcionista desta entidade, que tudo faz para obtenção da satisfação de todos os clientes.
A nível da limpeza, a D. Olivia, tenta junto das suas colaboradoras, a obtenção de resultados no que diz respeito a limpeza, que ultrapasse as espectativas dos clientes, mas as suas colaboradoras infelizmente nem sempre cumprem com as demandas da sua superior, e para finalizar só posso salientar e atribuir nota negativa à administração desta entidade, uma vez que estão a par das situações expostas quer pelos seus colaboradores, que são eles que dão a cara aos clientes e que obtêm os dividendos para a respectiva administração, e a mesma nada faz para alterar ou corrigir o que está mal, como cliente antigo que sou notei uma queda desta entidade, apesar de refrescarem o piso da recepção isso não foi suficiente...
À administração desta entidade, deixo aqui uma pequena sugestão, ouçam mais os colaboradores pois eles melhor que qualquer empresa que possa tentar gerir a vossa prezada entidade darão as melhores sugestões na obtenção de melhorar em todos os aspectos a vossa entidade.

It's a nice hotel, I would recommend it, the staff was really useful the locations is great, you are 100 metros from the subway stations. The room is quite cozy and the decorations pretty contemporary. The rates are fair in the low season you can find from 60 Europe, just to mention that Although the lobby seems really luxury, i have been in better 4-stsr hotel, plus the size of the rooms is a bit small.

Well at first I was not very sure about this choice but... it's a nice hotel to spend your vacation. Staff is very nice and hospitable, hotel' rooms clean and comofortable. The only thing I didn't appreciate is cooking, but hey, I'm Italian, what you pretend?

I initially wondered what made Tsar a 4-star hotel and they said to me, the accommodations. Upon arrival, I knew that was a joke. The rooms (I say rooms because I asked to switch) are extremely tiny and extremely dirty. My carpet had numerous stains throughout, tears, etc. and I had to request my bathroom be cleaned when I got there die to clumps of hair in my shower. This all after I moved rooms to this "bigger space," which was also a box with a terrible mattress with lumps and no give, not conformable at all.
I felt claustrophobic and wanted to spend as little time in there as I could. If you are a young female traveling alone or even alone for just a moment and stay there, as soon as you take a few steps outside you will be harassed by many homeless people and their dogs or just groups of men loitering. I didn't feel safe at all in this neighborhood. If you plan to take public transportation, which is close, just come back before dark or bring extra money for cab fare costs, which I spent a ton on.
The food at breakfast was no better, I attempted to eat there but the mediocre ingredients and options weren't worth it and had me headed for the bathroom as well as options outside of the “restaurant”.
What frustrates me the most about this place is the seemingly false previous reviews or people with low standards and the fact that their accommodations were NOTHING like their website and I ended up leaving and switching hotels as a result. Traveling from different areas all we have to go by are the reviews and I'd say if you're considering this place, don't go! There are nicer, roomier places closer to downtown that are reasonably priced.
You have been warned... Good luck on your search and enjoy your vacation elsewhere.

They are honestly not a four star hotel. The room feels like prison. The food at breakfast was horrible. Yes they did screw me on a refund that they promised to give me while I was there but when i got back to the states they said no. But the reason I even wanted one was because the accommodations were NOTHING like their website and I ended up leaving and switching hotels as a result and now I am out $800!.... and the neighborhood is very unsafe. I ended up staying at the Vintage Hotel with WAYYYY BETTER rooms and surroundings. Honestly, there are nicer places to go that are inexpensive.

Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr modern, sowohl Lobby als auch die Zimmer. Es gab zwar ein paar Flecken auf dem Teppichboden, war aber alles in allem recht auber. Wer einmal sehen möchte, wie ein typisch portugiesischer Hinterhof aussieht, sollte ein Zimmer auf der Rückseite nehmen. Vorteil: es ist ruhig, lediglich das sonore Rauschen der Hotelklimaentlüftung ist zu hören - stört aber nicht. Die Dusche war bei uns halb offen, modern aber unpraktisch, da nach dem Duschen immer das halbe Bad unter Wasser steht. Die absolute Härte: es gab zwar einen Safe im Zimmer, der war aber nur in den Schrank gelegt, ohne Befestigungen, quasi ein Pret-a-porter-Safe:). Das Frühstücksbuffet ist zwar reichlich, geschmacklich aber schrecklich!! Noch nie so scheußlichen Kaffee getrunken. Die Säfte sind Zuckerwasser mit künstlichem Aroma, auch alles andere (Brötchen, Süßspeisen, Joghurt) twar ziemlich ecklig. Nur Rührei ging halbwegs. Die englische Ecke mit Würstchen, Speck, usw. haben wir nicht probiert. Die Lage finde ich nicht so schrecklich, wie vorab oftmals geschrieben. Kostenlose Parkplätze gibts mit etwas Glück in den Seitenstraßen. Zum Zentrum sind es ca. 15 Gehminuten. Das Beste: ca. auf halber Strecke kommt man am besten und - relativ!! - preiswerten Seafoodrestaurant vorbei. Egal ob Scampi, Krebs, Langusten oder Hummer, hier gibts alles. Allerdings muss man ab 19 Uhr mit Wartezeiten rechnen.

Sehr schoenes Hotel,,die Zimmer sind klein aber Top,Fruehstueck ist auch prima,,die Lage ist okay vom Hotel 15 Min. vom Stadtkern entfernt,es liegt zwar im sozial aermeren Viertel,aber wo gibts das nicht,hatten vier uebernachtungen gebucht,musten die erste Nacht in einem anderen schlafen wegen technische Probleme?Das fanden wir leider nicht sooo toll,Zimmer alt und verlebt,Fruehstueck mies,aber sonst in allem prima Lisabon Urlaub.

Angenehmer Aufenhalt! Kleine Panne nach Check-In -> 3 Zimmer gebucht, 2 davon wurden uns übergeben aber waren nicht gereinigt. So etwas sollte nicht vorkommen. Wir bekamen umgehend neue Zimmer zugewiesen. Frühstück ist ausreichend, man sollte allerdings nicht zu viel erwarten. Die Umgebung ist nicht sehr einladend, aber man ist schnell in der Altstadt, insofern wieder gut gelegen. Das der Müll sich in der Straße türmte kann man nicht dem Hotel ankreiden, schön anzusehen ist es trotzdem nicht! Fazit: Wir würden dieses Hotel wieder wählen. Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.
