Friendly staff and lovely hotel. Decor is slightly dated but cleanliness was brilliant. Can hire a pool towel for €10 that can be handed back for a new 1 after every day if needing to. Get money back once towel is handed in at end of stay. Large pool area and grass area for sunbathing. Location is ideal between both old town & new town. 15 minute walk at most but only €5 in taxi, reception can call taxi to collect at hotel entrance. They offer a free shuttle bus at various times throughout the day to old town. We will definitely be returning to this hotel in future.

Great hotel, we went May 2018 for a surprise 50th birthday for my husband. 4 of our friends came too & we will definitely go back again. Fantastic place

Not a bad hotel, rooms are bearable if your going to spend most of your time out and about. Pool and surrounding area seem to be well looked after.

Lovely staff and the facilities are good. The room was spacious and clean. However, we would have expected to have free WiFi and maybe because out of season, sauna and steam room were closed and door from outdoor pool to indoor pool was shut.

Bem localizado e com compromisso. Boa piscina exterior e interior. Restaurante sem clientes e sem um barzinho para o café depois do jantar. Limpo e sossegado. A única coisa que já não se justifica hoje em dia, e o wifi ser pago nos quartos. É um serviço já devidamente difundido.

We like the location. It is very convenient to shops and grocery. The is big and has everything we want. The service is excellent.

We found the hotel staff to be welcoming with most speaking English very well. They were attentive and helpful. They had no issue storing our bags after checkout for free. The open areas were clean and tidy, the wifi in the lobby area worked well with  a nice desked area or comfy seats to use whilst emailing or surfing. The outside pool was large and clean although not heated so cold in the mornings. There were no chairs at all around the pool, just lots of very low sunbeds. The inside pool was quite small but warm and clean. It had signs saying swim caps were mandatory but, having bought some, it became obvious that noone else wore them and there was no enforcement by staff. There were no staff at all attending either pool. The lifts all worked and were rapid, if a bit small. Our apartment was clean and tidy although the furniture had seen better days and was a bit rickety. My biggest gripe was how dimly lit the apartment was. The bulbs were all low powered making it hard to read at night and there were no lamps. During the day, the main room had loads of natural light from the patio doors.  The balconies were clean although a bit small but still useable. The apartment was large although it was not well stocked with toiletries and the kitchen had no washing consumables so you need to buy your own washing up liquid, sponge etc. There was no washing machine although the TV was quite modern...although only having one English Channel, Sky News. We brought a mini dvd player with us but the TV was wired into the wall and there was no power socket near by to provide power. There is a shuttle bus to the old town that only runs a handful of times a day and it is small so dont bank on getting on it. Lastly, to activate power in the apartment, you need to insert your door card key in the wall. When you leave, the power switches off to the entire apartment a few minutes after you remove the key card. This means any electronic clocks, chargers or other devices lose power and you have to reprogram them on your return when you switch the power on again. Food in the hotel and the vending machines is very expensive. All in all, a very reasonable hotel.

Lovely hotel..rooms basic but everything you need .cleaned every day.staff are lovely..pool is nice..there are shops and supermarkets nearby.if you turn up before checking there is a safe baggage room and changing rooms so you can start your holiday straight away while waiting for you room

This is our third year at ondamar and we enjoyed it! The pool bar food has improved on last year and the new addition of the mini golf course is fantastic! Hotel is in a great location in the middle of old and new town and this is always our go to hotel when we stay in albiferia

Great hotel with a central enough location in between the new & the old town. Very clean and the bar food was really nice. Just back from a weekend with 20 girls and none of us had any complaints.

Her bor vi i leilighet med alt av kjøkkenutstyr. Herlig basseng med bar og minigolf. Gratis solstoler. Nært gamlebyen og badestrender . Nært kjøpesenter og gode spisesteder. Veldig trivelig betjening. Vi kommer tilbake hit gang på gang.

We were happy with the hotel, only had had a few minor complaints.1. No pads on the sun beds, so were very uncomfortable.2. Air conditioning could have been colder. 3. Lighting in the bathroom & bedroom was so dim that I struggled to see when getting ready to go out of an evening.Other than those very minor faults I would stay there again.

Rooms clean but vary in size according to the location in the building. Booked with two other couples who got the same layout rooms (very nice with comfortable beds) we got a studio room with a long hallway due to the adjoining staircase. Bed had a mattress that would only resemble something that you would see on a camping trip. When we asked management for something better we were fobbed off with a list of excuses, I have tried too have something done for two days but to no avail, very unhelpful. Will not be back again and definitely would not be recommending to anyone else.

2 bedroom apartment was very spacious and the pool area was very good. However the air conditioning in the bedrooms were terrible, the TV had only one English Channel, Sky News. Bar & restaurant all closed at 10pm, pool closed @ 7pm, 20 Euro’s 1 weeks WiFi which was wasn’t any faster than 3G. Hotel had no atmosphere at all, we wouldn’t stay here again.

Hotel molto pulito e personale molto gentile. Vicino al vecchio centro e su una via con alcuni ristoranti, negozi e piccolo centro commerciale. Ottimo punto di partenza se avete un'auto per girare i dintorni

Es un claro exponente de un buen hotel echado a perder por un mal mantenimiento, tan solo están cuidadas las partes comunes como el minigolf, las piscinas, el bar... pero el apartamento era un desastre, los muebles de la cocina desvencijados, la iluminación pésima, bombillas fundidas, sanitarios antiquísimos, grifería mas que básica, la mesa del salón con una pata colgando, te cobran el wifi aparte y te piden un depósito por el mando a distancia de la tele, tan solo el hecho de que fuera una buena oferta salva al lugar, porque si lo hubiésemos pillado a su tarifa oficial....

Ein schönes Hotel mit viel platz, einem Hotel-Pool und einem Minigolf-Platz. Weg zum Strand allerdings lang, dafür gibt es ein shuttle bus der 3 mal am tag zum strand fährt und ein shuttle das 3 mal am tag in die Altstadt fährt. Die Einrichtung ist ländlich, aber alles vorhanden, WLAN im Zimmer kostet dazu , im Lobby ist WLAN kostenlos. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, besonders der junge Typ am Empfang ;) Das hotel ist alles in allem empfehlenswert

The staff are really nice and helpful. The restaurant at the pool serves delicious food and Edwardo is lovely. Now for the down side...the apartments are very dated, the air conditioning is not great, they definitely need more sun loungers at the pool. There's a sign saying not to leave your towels on the sun loungers...but guess what people go off for hours for lunch or shopping or whatever and leave their towels and it's really not fair on others. Although I had a lovely holiday I won't be staying in these apartments again.

Vistas espectaculares. Piscina al aire libre y cubierta, ideal para ir con peques. Un poco alejado del centro, pero se llega en 20 minutos andando y eso hace que haya sitio para aparcar

Spent week here. 2 adults and 2 kids. Apartment was good size. Cleaned daily. Close to the Strip and 15 minute walk to old town or €4 in a taxi. Free shuttle bus to old town 3 times a day. 5 minutes to Albufeira shopping centre where theres a big supermarket. Not much of an atmosphere in hotel. Nobody in bar or restaurant. They had sign up saying there was parrot show on for kids. We went to the bar. We were the only ones there. Show never happened. €20 for WiFi for the week. Chinese across the road is great. Also restaurant nearby (Uzonj) did 3 courses for €10!! Overall it was fine and would probably use again.

Decepção total. A minha estadia foi reservada com dois meses de antecedência e confirmada dias antes, contudo quando cheguei ao hotel, foi negada qualquer tipo de reserva, então encaminharam-nos para um hotel muito inferior. O pior é que isto não aconteceu só connosco, um casal deparou-se com a mesma situação. Por esta mal organização, não aconselho tal hotel.

A bad experience from the moment we tried to check-in. The total booking cost for 2 nights as 150€. At check-in we were surprised with a 200€ cash "security deposit". If you want to watch TV? 20€ security deposit. Do you want heat or AC? 20€ security deposit. WiFi? 5€ per day. A pool towel? 10€ security deposit. It seems that this "hotel" is living in a different world, I can only recommended avoiding it at all costs. I'm honestly surprised the elevators were free to use.

Room were good size, clean, well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen had everything cooker, microwave, fridge kettle and utensils. Bathroom clean and well maintained. Reception clean well staffed. Indoor pool and jacuzzi were nice. Gym area could be improved and some machines not working or old. Other machines new. Outdoor pool and decking area excellent clean welcoming with mini golf to the rear and a cafe area

Even though it was off season but the hospitality and the service was on point the staff are very friendly and helpful the hotel is very clean and nice and best thing was the indoor pool and jacuzzi brilliant. Location of the hotel is good in the middle of the old and new town prefect place to book definitely recommend it

Great location and great hotel if you’re just using it as a base. No double beds which was a shame and the lighting was terrible in the bedroom very small too. The air con didn’t work very well you were either freezing or roasting. Staff were grand, didn’t break their backs to help us but weren’t awful either. Hotel was fine really

Loved this place it’s a shame that poolside restaurant had staffing issues and the lad on reception two nites previous was such a liar stating that all rooms were fully booked after we had tried to book an extra night. The reception team was awesome on the final morning fixing everything the lad had lied about and broken. The views are lovely not all rooms are fully modernised yet bit they were clean and cleaned everyday and nothing was too much trouble. It was lovely for a family holiday and I fully recommend the hotel and even the poolside restaurant had a couple of amazing lunch times. The Wednesday girls And a man team was absolutely top spec

Was here for family occasion 80th Birthday and a lovely touch by hotel ,champagne and cake in apartment on arrival. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

I stayed there for 8 days it was OK bar staff rude and we had to pay for the golf when we stayed there and there was there for my kids to do I won't recommend to go there with kids it and there was an awful smell off of the bathroom the apartment was very spacious was very clean reapction staff nice one night there was a party on in the apartment above us it was extremely noisy about 5 minute walk from New town and 15 20 from old town it has a great location but over all I would give it a one star

Fijne appartementen. Wij hadden een studio. Prima bedden, tweepersoons, bar in de keuken. Airco kun je voor 20 euro borg, ook kan je handdoeken huren voor een 10 euro borg en deze een paar keer laten vervangen. Zwembad is heerlijk! Lekker groot. Ook een kinder zwembadje erbij. Je kunt ook bij het restaurant buiten eten. Service is oké. Niet altijd geweldig. Eten is wel lekker. Helaas geen kinderstoelen aanwezig. Leuke mini golf baan. Korting als je in het hotel logeert. Vriendelijke hulp van het personeel van het hotel zelf. Gratis busje naar het oude centrum. 3x op de dag (heen en terug) taxi is ook niet duur. Enkeltje naar het centrum 4 euro ongeveer. Al met al een prima vakantie gehad! Zeker een aanrader !

Hay que pagar por horas para tener wifi cosa que me parece muy fuerte teniendo en cuenta que es un hotel de 4 estrellas la verdad, la televisión de la habitación no te da la opción de cambiar el idioma del canal obligándote a verlo en otro idioma o a no poder ver la tele. La sala fitness (gimnasio) tiene un horario demasiado reducido ya que cierra a las ocho, ademas de no funcionar ninguna máquina para las seis que hay y no proponer una solución rápida puesto que había algunas con telarañas. Y la única zona con wifi gratuito es la recepción del mismo hotel

This was my second stay at Ondamar. Highly recommend it. Rooms are a very good size, we went self-catering so the rooms were equipped with oven and grill, hob cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster and utensils. Room was cleaned daily. Had a nice balcony with pool view. Pool area is very nice, spacious and clean with a bar serving drinks and snacks throughout the day. Hotel is within walking distance to local shops, bars and beaches. I found it very helpful that with a late flight you can still enjoy a full day at the pool as there are shower facilities in their health club that you can use even after you've checked out. Staff will provide you with a towel and toiletries if needed. Also storage for baggage whilst you wait to go to the airport. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Wi-Fi available for a reasonable price also. Will definitely return to Ondamar again.

Nice hotel , very clean and friendly staff. Not a 4* hotel maybe a 3* but you do get what you pay for. Very large rooms , not very suitable for kids. João from reception was super friendly and helpful. Just a shame you get your usual scumbags doing their stag parties and behaving like animals. All per all was a pleasant stay.

Room 0002 never has natural sunlight. The apartments have no sound deadening therefore every footstep from surrounding apartments is amplified. The restaurant has no atmosphere . The chef should be commended for managing to remove all flavour, texture and colour from monk fish wrapped in bacon. When we requested the wine list we were told there is red or white. The reception staff go out of their way to appear helpful. The cleaning staff are superb. The cleanliness of the apartment is joy.

Hemos ido en Semana Santa un grupo de 12 mayores y 4 niños, hemos quedado bastante contentos todos, para volver a repetir.

Rooms are dated and could do with more than 1 chair also the mattress was very uncomfortable and the bed was attached to the wall. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed over the Halloween break and really enjoyed our stay, was mid 20s temp. 2+2 so we decided to book a 2 bed apartment. On 3rd floor, overlooking pool. Apartment was big, decor was a bit dated but was clean. Two balconies with table and chairs. Beds were very comfortable and linen was changed during the week. Housekeeping came daily, very nice ladies. Kitchen was well equipped and all appliances were spotless. Only downside to the room was there was no safe infinity it as they are interested a room at reception and remote for tv was €20 deposit Pool was lovely, nice size with plenty of beds. We did not eat at poolside bar but others did. Only downside was that there was no ice cream they said it was because it was end of season.Inside pool was small, weather was good enough not to have to use it.Indoor bar was nice but nobody was in it really. The games room was not open.We got the courtesy bus down to the old town twice. Would be a long enough walk. The strip was closer and easy to walk to. Few shops within 5 mins walk which was handy. We found the staff very friendly and helpful.

Great 2 bedroom apartment, with kitchen, two bathrooms and view to the swimming pool. Air conditioners nice and new. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Appliances could be replaced such as dishwasher and stove. The only problem is the wifi that you have to pay to have it in the room (€20,00 per week).

Positive points. Location is good, bedroom spacious, nice and clean swimming pool and friendly staff. Negative points. Very uncomfortable bed and bad pillows, old style not that cozy, air conditioning not work proper and room service were very poor.

Lovely family place to stay. The bar and restaurant are very quiet and lack atmosphere. However don't let that put you off... as lovely resturaunts within 50 meters. Staff are amazing at the Ondamar . So friendly and helpful. The pool area is brillant and is the real highlight for the kids. With full bar /café with food served daily by the pool at very resonable prices. We will be back!

Il y a quelques années,nous avons passés un très agréable séjour dans cet établissement.Je constate avec plaisir que de très bonnes notes lui sont attribuées,ce qui était le cas avec nous et nos amis.Nous n'avions déjà que le maximum d'étoiles à lui octroyer,plus n'étant pas possible,et nous en étions désolés.

Our stay was OK. The room was large enough but the room amenities were lacking and as commented by other visitors very dated. When staying in Aparthotels there has always been a welcome pack. Which when arriving is greatly appreciated and as this hotel is rated 4* I thought should be provided but wasn't. instructions on how to use the combination oven would have been very useful. The room was clean.

séjour de 12 nuits ,2 adultes et 2 enfants ( 10 et 13 ans).La chambre est spacieuse et confortable ( cependant TV trop ancienne).Le ménage est fait TOUS les jours. Personnel agréable. La piscine est magnifique et très grande, malheureusement comme dans tous les hôtels avec piscine les transats sont pris dassaut dés 8h00 du matin ( si se nest pas plus tôt!!!),simplement en mettant sa serviette dessus et ensuite ces même personnes reviennent plusieurs heures plus tard!!! Aucun bruit des chambres dà côté mais celui de la clim placée juste a côté de la chambre ou nous étions .

Hotêl très familial et calme. Peut convenir à un groupe de jeune venant faire la fête car à 10mn à pied d'une rue animée et 20mn à pied (4€ en taxi) d'Albufeira plage. L'appartement est propre fonctionnel avec une belle vue sur la piscine. Le personnel est très accueillant et arrangeant sauf certaines femmes de ménages très désagréable.

Bon séjour, avec un bon service. L'appartement est spacieux et bien situé car a proximité des commerces. Neanmoins il est loin de la plage, qui neccesite prendre un transport ou son véhicule (présence de la piscine rattrape ce manque) A l'interieur, il a tout pour le confort. et la vue sur la piscine est agreable. La propreté est correcte, RAS. Pour ma party pas de nuisance sonore malgré l'appartement en bordure de route. Piscine et petit jardin dans l'hotel tres appreciable egalement.
