They get you covered. Great shop, loads of activities options to book and cool clothing collection. Definitely worth it passing by and checking out with one of the friendly staff and they will find something to do while in Lagos that suits you best.

Great shop, friendly and helpfull staff.
We went on holidays last month with some friends.
We all wanted to learn how to surf and we decided to book some lessons with them.
The weather wasn’t very great and the shop staff was so nice that helped us choosing the best day of that week to go surfing.
We had a great time doing the group lessons; it can look a bit expensive, but is nearly a 5 h thing and in compare with the price of a ski lesson, is good and worth it.
We were so happy that we checked the rest of activities they do and we booked a Sup tour to the Lake and a hiking to the west coast….such amazing places…no need good weather at all to enjoy.
About, the shop, is not very big, but it has everything you need and with good prices.
I definitely recommend to visit them.

I've rented a funboard and a wetsuit at Jah Shaka Surf for half a day. The staff was really great and in advance, they checked the current weather conditions (and consequently surf conditions) with me. They told me honestly that the waves were not to good for surfing and I should better save the money and come back another day. However, as it was my last day in Lagos, I've rented the funboard and wetsuit anyway and both the shape of the equipment and the prices were really great.
Next time in Lagos I'll definitely rent surf equipement at Jah Shaka Surf again!

Perfect place to make your first steps on surfing. The stuff is very friendly.
I saw the comment, that the price is too high.
I took a one day of surfing of 55 euros, and here is no cheapest prices.

My friend and I booked a surf course for one day (August 2018). Unfortunately, we were really unhappy with it.
First, the wet suit of my friend was way too small (height and width) and tight, the instructor barely checked if it would fit.
The practice at the beach was fine (we were a big group), but none of the four surf teachers even bothered to go into the water with us.
They were just standing at the beach, every once in a while telling us to stay in our area, because there were many surf schools. Our "beach part" was way too small for a big group like us. Otherwise the teachers were chatting with each other, playing with the sand or napping. No feedback on how every individual is doing or anything but the very least.
For the price of 65€/person it was definitely not worth it. But picnic was fine. Would not recommend this surfing lesson

We had a great experience with all the staff here. They are super kind and helpful. We had a mix up with the kayak company we booked through them and the guys at the surf shop listened to our concerns, sincerely apologized (even though it wasn’t their fault) and offered a solution for us. We ended up having a great day, cheers!

Quit Legends at this store. Multiple languages are spoken and easy staff to tall and hang out with.
I stoped by on my search to score some nice fins and also found a fun local surf book when was there.

Best surfshop in Lagos! Awesome vibes and wonderful people workinh there! They are also selling beautiful boards by a shaper called Kluba. If you dont need a new or second hand board there is enough gear and clothing available in the shop. Check them out whenever your around, even during wintertime.

I stumbled upon this shop by chance, I had a broken board in my car and went in to ask about what to do. They were super helpful and friendly, fixing my board straight away for nothing. Jah Shaka is the go to store in Lagos for all surfing needs. I live in Lagos and find the staff super friendly, helpful and chilled. I buy wax, surf accessories and I've bought wetsuits and clothes in the past. They have sales which make it always a great opportunity to get new stuff and improve equipment. Also I always get my girlfriend's rental gear here as they offer good gear for decent prices.

I loved my experience with this shop. The front desk staff was so friendly and gave me lots of tips for surfing and touring otherwise. They also came in CLUTCH and replaced my purchases after they were stolen from me! I can't wait to get back to Lagos and visit them again.

We did the one day course and found it fantastic. Coaches were really helpful and definitely helped us figure out some little bits we were having hassle with. Food was far better then I was expecting and really tasty, no pre packed sandwiches here! Everyone (coaches and volunteers) were all really friendly and welcoming. Would definitely be back next time I'm in Lagos!

Super friendly people. We went there actually three times. Twice for asking about a SUP rental and the third time we rented it. They always gave us a good advice when would be a good time to rent the SUP. The didn’t wanna sell something, they wanted to help. That was awesome.
When we rented the SUP, the equipment was really good and the walk from the surf shop to the beach is about 5 minutes.
It was a really good decision to rent the SUP instead of doing a guided tour.
I totally recommend that place if you in Lagos or the area.

J'ai réservé une sortie en sup avec eux, au lever du soleil ! Le "pick-up" était tôt (6h30) mais ça valait le coup pour être seuls sur l'eau et dans les grottes. Notre guide Dave était très professionnel et sympathique. Il a bien choisi le board pour chaque personne en fonction de son niveau. L'équipement était en bonne condition. Je vous recommande sans contredit cette expérience.

Wir hatten einen Surf Kurs gebucht, das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat alles gut erklärt. Der Transport zum Strand lief problemlos und die Trainer waren gut. Leider waren nicht genügen Boards für alle Teilnehmer der Gruppe vorhanden, so könnte eine Gruppe immer nur zusehen, das war etwas unglücklich geplant.

Best guys for surfing and water activities in Lagos. They take you to wonderful beaches and the teachers really know their stuff. Booked surf classes and teachers ensured we learnt and caught waves. Then tried the kayaking and loved the caves and seeing the coast of Algarve. They specialise in this so i would definitely book with them again

Rentals, lessons, friendly staff and they also have monitors with webcams showing conditions around the area.
If you need it too, free wifi no password. They also have straps for you to strap your boards to your car if you have to chuck them on the roof.

I came here to rent a bicycle. The person was very nice at first, but the bicycle I was given was super old. It was in working condition, but the gear was acting weird and overall I didn't feel very safe with it, so I decided to return it and look for another place.
I had to insist a lot to get refunded, that same person was talking to me as if I was the worst customer in the world although I was polite and nice. Not a really pleasant experience.

Very very very very helpful staff! Such a great shop, the guys showed to where to go to surf, and recommended the board to rent. very good choice of clothing as well and you get 10% discounts if stick to the shop for different activities! Will be back next year!
