Great place for lunch or coffee and cake. Seating in sun or shade amongst pots of brightly coloured flowers. Recomend!

A fantastic selection of pottery. Handmade and painted right there at reasonably prices. A lovely owner and good place to stop for a light lunch in their lovely cafe garden.

Fiz uma visita hoje de manhã e fui muito bem atendida. Até mesmo fizemos uma tour guiada pela olaria, onde nos contaram a história e o processo da cerâmica. Todos foram muito simpáticos e as peças são belíssimas.

Visit every time time we're there. It's a destination in it's own right. You can watch the ladies do their magic too. My sister in law called weeks ahead and ordered a bispoke plate for our Mother in laws birthday. It was great!

Great shop to buy hand painted pottery. Was going to dine in the cafe/bar but was put off by the rude attitude of the restauranter . My young son was taking photos of the pottery around the cafe & he said "I hope you aren't taking photos of the diners."

Um lugar não ao alcance da carteira de todos, mas onde é possível ver desenhar e pintar as diferentes peças de cerâmica, o de cada peça é única... Recomendo a visita ou mesmo compras pois tudo é genuíno.....

A lovely pottery with real atmosphere. The adjoining cafe/bar Bacchus serves outstanding fresh meals with cheerful, helpful service. It is well worth visiting just for that!

A small factory that specializes in hand painted ceramics. They make houseware, dinner service and also some azulejo tiles.

Prachtige porseleinen potjes, pannetjes , etc! Je kunt er zien hoe ze alles beschilderen! Echt geweldig om te zien!

Porches Pottery offers unique pottery, the pottery being "samey" being a testament to the dexterity of the people that work there painting it by hand, which you can see, practicing their craft. It is not for everyone's taste and price bracket mind: For quality, hand made and hand decorated pottery it is good value it cannot be compared to machine printed stoneware sold in a supermarket, or shoddy hand decoration.

Bello ed originale negozio di ceramica vicino a Lagoa in Algarve. Producono direttamente sul posto le ceramiche ed è possibile ordinare una produzione personale.
Accanto c'è un locale caratteristico tutto decorato con ceramiche, dove è possibile fare spuntini veramente ottimi preparati da una signora molto simpatica.

Fajny sklep z fajansowymi artykulami, naczynia, azujelos, donice, itp. Wszystko wyrabiane jest na miejscu. Ale najbardziej podobała mi się kawiarenka, bar ktora cała jest przozdobiona azulejos, stoly, lawy, sciany, fontanny. Miłe miejsce na drobny lunch lub kawę.

Jedným slovom, oáza ticha, krásy, pohody, miesto absolútneho relaxu. Miesto, kde sa môžete pokochať krásou v podobe typickej portugalskej keramiky, ktorá vás oslovuje v obchode, či v exteriérových prvkoch. K dispozícii je i možnosť občerstvenia v podobe veľmi chutných portugalských jedál.

Sehr schönes und umfangreiches Angebot ab Porzellan und jeglicher Art von schönen Mitbringsel. Der Inhaber ist sehr nett und nimmt sich für jeden Kunden ausreichend Zeit. Er informiert sehr ausgewogen über das komplette Wein und Portwein Angebot. Eine Verkostung ist jederzeit möglich. Wie im letzten Jahr wurden wir auch in diesem Jahr wieder sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient. Ich kann diese Pottery nur empfehlen!

Hele mooie, grote winkel, met aardewerk voor zowel binnen als buiten. Hele vriendelijke mensen staan je te woord en helpen je met alle plezier als je niet vindt wat je zoekt. Ook de prijzen van de artikelen zijn zeer schappelijk.

Really lovely store with friendly English speaking staff.
Many differently sized goods and types of goods, so you're quite sure to find something that will fit within your budget and your suitcase. :)
There is also a small cafe in case you want a small lunch while there.
Worth a visit, especially of you're into these kinds of crafts.

Porches pottery has been producing for many years - although designs have rarely changed and is relatively expensive. The clay used is fairly heavy - so be aware if flying home.

Last time I was there they were closing as we went by. Therefore we didn't get their absolute fantastic orange juice.
But the time before (2 years earlier), we were sitting in the shade at 40°C and drinking freshly squeezed orange juice with ice cubes.. oh my!
That's an experience you shouldn't miss!

We visited several other pottery shops in the area and the quality at Porches Pottery is exceptionally high. Beautiful patterns and a wide selection of handmade pottery. The shopkeepers were very helpful, in particular by working with us to ship our selections to the U.S. Shipping is very expensive, but the prices are so reasonable that even with the shipping cost, we thought everything was a fair bargain. Also, there is a very nice cafe right in the building with the shop. The proprietor was friendly and the food was good.

One of the nicest potteries on the N125 - if buying serving bowls etc always ask if the pattern you are looking at is still being made - we have been buying some patterns for 10+ years

An absolutely stunning place. The fact that the pottery is handcrafted makes the whole experience much more authentic. The pottery is beautiful! I've bought a few bowls and crafts every time I've visited. The staff are delightful and such a pleasure to talk to.

It's a lovely shop come work shop such a treat to see genuine hand made pieces. An hour in the shop and an hour over lunch at the cafe makes for a really lovely day out. I've bought several pieces over the years and can testify that they stand up to day to day wear and tear remarkably well. A must see shop and a great place for holiday presents to take home - or presents for yourself !! The place can be very busy in summer and so sometimes you have to wait to be served but as a small family business I suppose it's to be expected but staff are always very apologetic and helpful. Love it here.

Very nice traditional pottery! You can see the staff working and there is also a lot of good stuff around to buy. In my opinion you can see the difference in quality to various other shops.

Small collection of nice Portuguese style pottery. Higher quality that in the tourist stores, and more specialized in a particular style and tiles. Awedome: order you own custom tiles and pick them up several days later. Prices for those start already at 30€.

Heard so many good things about this place but I was quite disappointed with the diversity of products. Personally, I didn't enjoy the themes or the painting in the pottery... But feels authentic seeing the artists working on the pieces there.

Got food in the restaurant and it was good and the price was reasonable. We went into the pottery section, picked something and went to the counter. There was 2 ladies working on painting pottery behind the counter and both didn't even acknowledge us or at the very least bother to get someone to serve us. We stood there for a few minutes and then left. 1/5 for the pottery place. 3/5 for the restaurant.
